Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及双组分聚氨酯组合物及其制备方法。
背景技术
常规的溶剂基双组分聚氨酯涂料组合物提供极佳的外观,但通常含有高挥发性有机化合物(VOC)含量。包含水可分散性异氰酸酯和常规乳液聚合物的水基双组分聚氨酯涂料组合物显著降低VOC含量并具有合理的固化速度,但仍无法提供具有令人满意的外观特性(如光泽度和丰满度)的涂料。为了解决这些问题,美国专利第9,365,739号公开了水基双组分聚氨酯涂料组合物,其包含脂环族二醇或多元醇和通过使按单体的总重量计41重量%丙烯酸丁酯/46重量%甲基丙烯酸甲酯/10重量%甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯/3重量%甲基丙烯酸乳液聚合而制备的丙烯酸乳液聚合物。仍有空间进一步改进所得涂料的光泽度、硬度和耐化学性。在施用期间,首先混合双组分聚氨酯组合物中的组分,并且接着通常在约3至6小时内将其施用到衬底上。在这样的施用时段内,还期望聚氨酯组合物提供无显著光泽度损失(也称为“良好的保光性”)的涂料。例如,即使在室温下储存约6小时之后,聚氨酯组合物仍可以提供具有70或更高的60°光泽度的涂料。
仍然需要提供一种双组分聚氨酯组合物,其在固化后展现出改进的光泽度而不损害机械特性(例如,硬度和耐化学性),并且即使在储存一段时间(例如6小时)之后,仍提供具有良好的保光性的涂料。
发明内容
本发明提供一种双组分聚氨酯组合物,其特别适用于涂料。聚氨酯组合物提供由其制成的具有90或更高的60°光泽度的涂料,并且即使在室温(20-25℃)下储存至少6小时之后,仍提供由其制成的具有70或更高的60°光泽度的涂料。聚氨酯组合物还可以提供具有H或更硬的高硬度和/或足够的耐化学性以承受大于200次的甲基乙基酮(MEK)摩擦的涂料。可以根据实例部分中描述的测试方法来测量光泽度、硬度和耐化学性。
在第一方面,本发明是一种双组分聚氨酯组合物,其包含
(A)水性分散体,其包含乳液聚合物和选自由硫酸盐表面活性剂、不含羧基或羧酸基的磺酸盐表面活性剂或其混合物组成的组的表面活性剂;其中,重均分子量为70,000g/mol或更少的所述乳液聚合物包含按所述乳液聚合物的重量计,
大于0.25重量%的含磷的酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元、大于15重量%的羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸烷基酯的结构单元、单烯键式不饱和非离子单体的结构单元和0至10重量%的额外酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元;和
(B)水可分散性聚异氰酸酯。
在第二方面,本发明是一种制备第一方面的双组分聚氨酯组合物的方法。所述方法包含:
(i)提供水性分散体,其包含重均分子量为70,000g/mol或更少的乳液聚合物和选自由硫酸盐表面活性剂、不含羧基或羧酸基的磺酸盐表面活性剂或其混合物组成的组的表面活性剂;其中,在链转移剂的存在下通过乳液聚合制备的所述乳液聚合物包含按所述乳液聚合物的重量计,
大于0.25重量%的含磷的酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元、大于15重量%的羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸烷基酯的结构单元、单烯键式不饱和非离子单体的结构单元和0至10重量%的额外酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元;和
(ii)将来自步骤(i)的水性分散体与水可分散性聚异氰酸酯混合。
具体实施方式
本文中的“水性”组合物或分散体意指分散在水性介质中的颗粒。本文中的“水性介质”意指水和按介质的重量计0至30重量%的一种或多种水混溶性化合物,例如醇、二醇、二醇醚、二醇酯等。
命名单体的“结构单元”(也被称为“聚合单元”)是指聚合后单体的残余物,即,聚合单体或呈聚合形式的单体。举例来说,甲基丙烯酸甲酯的结构单元如下所示:
其中虚线表示结构单元与聚合物主链的连接点。
如本文所用,除非另有说明,否则术语“聚异氰酸酯”是指具有两个或更多个异氰酸酯基团的任何异氰酸酯官能分子。

可用于本发明的乳液聚合物还可包含一种或多种额外酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元。额外酸单体可以是羧酸单体、磺酸单体及其混合物。羧酸单体可以是α,β-烯键式不饱和羧酸;带有成酸基的单体,所述成酸基生成或随后可转化为此类酸基(如酸酐、(甲基)丙烯酸酐或马来酸酐);及其混合物。羧酸单体的特定实例包括丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、马来酸、衣康酸、巴豆酸、富马酸、丙烯酸2-羧乙酯及其混合物。磺酸单体可包括乙烯基磺酸钠(SVS)、苯乙烯磺酸钠(SSS)和丙烯酰胺基-甲基-丙烷磺酸盐(AMPS);及其盐。优选地,额外酸单体是α,β-烯键式不饱和羧酸,例如丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、衣康酸及其混合物。按乳液聚合物的重量计,乳液聚合物可包含0至10重量%、0.5重量%至5重量%、1重量%至3重量%或1.5重量%至2重量%的额外酸单体的结构单元。

可用于本发明的乳液聚合物还可包含一种或多种多烯键式不饱和单体的结构单元,所述多烯键式不饱和单体包括二、三、四、或更高的多官能烯键式不饱和单体。合适的多烯键式不饱和单体的实例包括丁二烯、(甲基)丙烯酸烯丙酯、二乙烯基苯、乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、丁二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯及其混合物。按乳液聚合物的重量计,乳液聚合物可包含0至5重量%的多烯键式不饱和单体的结构单元,例如3重量%或更少、1重量%或更少、0.5重量%或更少或甚至0。

按水性分散体的总重量计,可用于本发明的乳液聚合物以干重或固体重量计可以20%至70%、30%至55%、35%至50%或40%至45%的量存在。
可用于本发明的水性分散体还包含一种或多种选自硫酸盐表面活性剂、不含羧基或羧酸基的磺酸盐表面活性剂或其混合物的表面活性剂。可用于本发明的表面活性剂可具有式(I)或(II)的结构,

可用于本发明的乳液聚合物可在水性介质中,优选在上述硫酸盐和/或磺酸盐表面活性剂的存在下,通过使上述单体乳液聚合来制备。单体可以无溶剂或于水中的乳液形式添加;或在制备乳液聚合物的反应期内一次或多次添加或连续、线性或非线性地添加。上述用于制备乳液聚合物的单体的总重量浓度可以等于100%。按单体的总重量计此类单体的剂量与按乳液聚合物的重量计作为乳液聚合物中的结构单元的这些单体的每种的量基本相同。可选择上述单体的类型和含量,以使所获得的乳液聚合物具有适合于不同应用的玻璃化转变温度(Tg)。乳液聚合物的测量的Tg可以在0至100℃、10至80℃、20至60℃、30至55℃或40至50℃范围内。如本文所用,“测量的Tg”是指根据以下实例部分中描述的测试方法通过差示扫描量热法(DSC)测定的玻璃化转变温度。
适合于单体聚合的温度可低于100℃,在10℃至95℃范围内或在50℃至92℃范围内。可以利用使用上述单体的多级乳液聚合,其中至少两级按顺序形成,并且通常形成包含至少两种聚合物组合物的多级聚合物。
自由基引发剂可以用于聚合方法中。聚合方法可以是热引发或氧化还原引发的乳液聚合。适合的自由基引发剂的实例包括过氧化氢、叔丁基过氧化氢、过氧化氢异丙苯、过硫酸铵和/或碱金属过硫酸盐、过硼酸钠、过磷酸及其盐;高锰酸钾及过氧二硫酸的铵盐或碱金属盐。按单体的总重量计,自由基引发剂通常可以0.01重量%至3.0重量%的含量使用。可在聚合方法中使用包含上述引发剂和适合的还原剂的氧化还原体系。适合的还原剂的实例包括甲醛次硫酸钠、抗坏血酸、异抗坏血酸、含有硫的酸的碱金属盐和铵盐(如亚硫酸钠、亚硫酸氢盐、硫代硫酸盐、次硫酸盐、硫化物、硫氢化物或连二亚硫酸盐)、甲脒亚磺酸、丙酮亚硫酸氢盐、乙醇酸、羟甲基磺酸、乙醛酸水合物、乳酸、甘油酸、苹果酸、酒石酸和前述酸的盐。铁、铜、锰、银、铂、钒、镍、铬、钯或钴的金属盐可以用于催化氧化还原反应。可以任选地使用用于所述金属的螯合剂。
可在聚合方法中使用一种或多种硫酸盐和/或磺酸盐表面活性剂。可以在单体聚合之前或单体聚合期间或其组合中添加硫酸盐和/或磺酸盐表面活性剂。聚合之后也可以添加一部分表面活性剂。按单体的总重量计,这些表面活性剂可以0.1重量%或更多、0.3重量%或更多、0.5重量%或更多或甚至0.8重量%或更多,并且同时以10重量%或更少、5重量%或更少、3重量%或更少或甚至1.5重量%或更少的组合量使用。
可在聚合方法中使用一种或多种链转移剂以控制乳液聚合物的分子量。合适的链转移剂的实例包括3-巯基丙酸、3-巯基丙酸甲酯、3-巯基丙酸丁酯、正十二烷基硫醇、正十六烷硫醇、叔十二烷基硫醇、正十八烷硫醇、苯硫醇、壬二烷基硫醇、含羟基的硫醇(如羟乙基硫醇)、巯基丙酸及其混合物。按单体的总重量计,链转移剂可以有效量使用以控制乳液聚合物的分子量,例如大于0.2重量%、0.3重量%至10重量%、或0.4重量%至5重量%、0.5重量%至4重量%、1重量%至3.5重量%、1.3重量%至3.0重量%、1.7重量%至2.5重量%、2.0重量%至2.3重量%。
在完成聚合方法之后,所获得的水性分散体可由一种或多种碱中和到如下的pH值,例如至少5,即6至10、6.2至9、6.4至8、6.6至7.5或6.7至7.0。合适的碱的实例包括氨;碱金属或碱土金属化合物,如氢氧化钠、氢氧化钾、氢氧化钙、氧化锌、氧化镁、碳酸钠;伯胺、仲胺和叔胺,如三乙胺、乙胺、丙胺、单异丙胺、单丁胺、己胺、乙醇胺、二乙胺、二甲胺、二正丙胺、三丁胺、三乙醇胺、二甲氧基乙胺、2-乙氧基乙胺、3-乙氧基丙胺、二甲基乙醇胺、二异丙醇胺、吗啉、乙二胺、2-二乙氨基乙胺、2,3-二氨基丙烷、1,2-丙二胺、新戊二胺、二甲基氨基丙胺、六亚甲基二胺、4,9-二氧杂十二烷-1,12-二胺、聚乙烯亚胺或聚乙烯胺;氢氧化铝;或其混合物。
聚氨酯组合物中的水性分散体还可包含一种或多种二醇或多元醇。合适的二醇或多元醇可包含分子量为100至500且含有一个或多个4至7元脂肪族环的任何脂环族二醇或多元醇,或由分子量为100至500的脂环族二醇或多元醇制得且包含至少30重量%的脂环族二醇和/或多元醇且重均分子量为200至3000、200至2000或200至1000的任何低聚二醇或多元醇。此类二醇或多元醇的实例包括环己烷二甲醇(CHDM),尤其是1,3CHDM、1,4CHDM、其混合物;二脱水-d-葡萄糖醇,其具有两个5元环,每个环含有氧原子;4,8-双(羟甲基)三环[5.2.1.02,6]癸烷和2,2,4,4-四甲基环丁二醇,其含有4元环。如本文所用,当提及脂环族二醇或多元醇时,术语“分子量”是指一摩尔所述脂环族二醇或多元醇的质量,以克为单位。如本文所用,低聚二醇或多元醇的术语“重分子量”是所述低聚二醇或多元醇的样品的重均分子量,如通过GPC,相对于聚苯乙烯分子量标准作为校正标准,对四氢呋喃溶剂中的样品进行测定。EasiCal PS-2标准(加利福尼亚州圣克拉拉的安捷伦科技公司(AgilentTechnologies,Inc,Santa Clara,Calif))相对于聚苯乙烯标准。
可用于本发明的低聚二醇或多元醇可包括任何低聚物,所述低聚物包含按用于制备低聚物的反应物的总重量计至少30重量%、优选至少40重量%的分子量为100至500且含有一个或多个4至7元脂肪族环的任何脂环族二醇和/或多元醇的缩合反应产物。这些低聚二醇或多元醇可包括例如低聚或聚酯、短链醇酸、低聚或聚碳酸酯、低聚或聚醚和低聚或聚内酯,其具有所需的低重均分子量,例如200至3000、200至2000或200至1000。此类低聚物可以通过常规方式(如通过本体聚合)来制备。举例来说,聚酯可例如由二酸或双官能酸酐或其盐、具有一种或多种4至7元脂肪族环的脂环族二醇或三醇来制备。同样,可以通过在内酯反应物(例如己内酯)存在下使分子量为100至500且含有一个或多个4至7元脂肪族环的任何脂环族多元醇反应以制备聚内酯多元醇,或在碳酸酯反应物(例如碳酸三亚甲基酯)存在下使所述任何脂环族多元醇反应以制备聚碳酸酯多元醇来形成其它低聚物。合适的聚酯多元醇的实例通过使2个CHDM分子和1个草酸分子缩合来制备,其中多元醇含量计算为76.2重量%。可商购的二醇或多元醇可包括例如来自King Industries公司(康涅狄格州诺沃克(Norwalk,Conn.))的K-Flex 188和K-Flex A308聚酯多元醇;UNOXOLTM二醇,即1,3CHDM和1,4CHDM的混合物(陶氏化学公司,UNOXOL是陶氏化学公司的商标);和Polysorb P二脱水-d-葡萄糖醇(法国莱斯特朗的罗特盖(Roquette,Lestrem,FR))。
包括在水性分散体中的二醇或多元醇呈无溶剂形式(对于水溶性二醇或多元醇),或对于水溶性较差的二醇或多元醇,优选用稳定量的表面活性剂,优选按二醇或多元醇的总重量计以约0.5重量%至5重量%范围内的浓度微粉化和稳定化。非离子表面活性剂是优选的,并且可以包括以下在聚氨酯组合物中描述的那些表面活性剂。按二醇、多元醇和乳液聚合物的总固体重量计,这些二醇或多元醇可以0至20重量%、0.1重量%至15重量%或0.2重量%至10重量%的量存在。
本发明的聚氨酯组合物进一步包含用作交联剂的一种或多种水可分散性聚异氰酸酯。可用于本发明的聚异氰酸酯可包括具有2个或更多个异氰酸酯基团且可在室温下分散或溶解于水中的任何分子,以及其混合物。此类聚异氰酸酯可以是脂肪族、脂环族、芳香族或其混合物。聚异氰酸酯的平均官能度可以大于2或为2.5至10。合适的水可分散性聚异氰酸酯的实例包括脂肪族二异氰酸酯以及其二聚体和三聚体,如C2-C8亚烷基二异氰酸酯,如四亚甲基二异氰酸酯和六亚甲基二异氰酸酯(HDI)、1,12-十二烷二异氰酸酯、2,2,4-三甲基-六亚甲基二异氰酸酯、2,4,4-三甲基-六亚甲基二异氰酸酯、2-甲基-1,5-五亚甲基二异氰酸酯;脂环族二异氰酸酯以及其二聚体和三聚体,如异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯(IPDI)和二环己基甲烷二异氰酸酯(HMDI)、1,4-环己烷二异氰酸酯和1,3-双-(异氰酸基甲基)环己烷;芳香族二异氰酸酯以及其二聚物和三聚物,如甲苯二异氰酸酯(TDI)和二苯基甲烷二异氰酸酯(MDI)。优选地,聚异氰酸酯包含脂肪族聚异氰酸酯。更优选地,聚异氰酸酯为六亚甲基二异氰酸酯均聚物、六亚甲基二异氰酸酯加合物、异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯均聚物、异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯加合物或其混合物。聚异氰酸酯中的三聚体(或异氰脲酸酯)可以通过本领域中已知的方法来制备,例如,如在美国专利公开第2006/0155095A1号由Daussin等人所公开,通过以下方式来制备:在一种或多种三聚催化剂(如叔胺或膦或非均相催化剂)存在下且如果需要在溶剂和/或助剂(如助催化剂)的存在下,适当地在高温下,将脂环族二异氰酸酯(例如异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯)进行三聚,直至已达到所需的NCO含量,且接着使用无机和有机酸、相应的酰卤和烷化剂使催化剂失活,并且优选加热。含有来自脂肪族二异氰酸酯的异氰脲酸酯的异氰脲酸酯组合物同样可以通过在一种或多种三聚催化剂的存在下使脂肪族二异氰酸酯环化并且接着使催化剂失活来形成。可以通过常规方法将任何异氰脲酸酯进一步改性以含有氨基甲酸酯、脲、亚氨基-s-三嗪、脲酮亚胺或碳二亚胺部分。其它合适的聚异氰酸酯可包括例如聚醚改性的聚异氰酸酯(如何进一步改性三聚体),例如具有两个异氰酸酯基团的聚烷氧基化的异氰脲酸酯。
可用于本发明的聚异氰酸酯可包括一种或多种聚异氰酸酯预聚物,其可通过使双(异氰基甲基)环己烷和/或另一种脂肪族二异氰酸酯与一元醇、二醇、二胺或一元胺反应来形成,接着通过使异氰酸酯反应以形成脲基甲酸酯或缩二脲改性的预聚物来改性。此类预聚物可以进一步包含聚烷氧基或聚醚链。或者,可将此类预聚物与三聚催化剂混合,得到脲基甲酸酯或缩二脲改性的聚异氰酸酯异氰脲酸酯组合物。此类脲基甲酸酯或缩二脲预聚物的制备、随后三聚在本领域中是已知的,参见例如美国专利第5,663,272号和第6,028,158号。再者,合适的聚异氰酸酯可以由氨基磺酸改性。
本发明的聚氨酯组合物可以包含聚异氰酸酯(可含有几种不同的聚异氰酸酯)中异氰酸酯基当量总数与水性分散体(包括乳液聚合物和任选的二醇或多元醇)中羟基当量总数的当量比在例如0.7:1:0至4.0:1.0、或0.8:1.0至2.5:1.0或1.0:1.0至1.5:1.0。
本发明的聚氨酯组合物可以任选地包含一种或多种非离子表面活性剂。非离子表面活性剂可以具有式(III)的结构,
其中R3表示具有8至18个碳原子或10至14个碳原子的经取代或未经取代的直链、支链或环状烷基;或具有14至24个碳原子或16至20个碳原子的经取代或未经取代的芳烷基;AO表示乙氧基、丙氧基或丁氧基或其组合,优选乙氧基;p在4至60范围内。优选R3是具有10至14个碳原子的直链或支链烷基。式(III)中p可为4或更高、6或更高、8或更高或甚至10或更高,并且同时60或更低、50或更低、40或更低、30或更低或甚至20或更低。可商购的非离子表面活性剂可包括例如TRITONTM X-405辛基酚乙氧基化物(p=40)、TRITONTM NP-9壬基酚乙氧基化物(p=9)、ECOSURFTM SA-9脂肪醇聚乙二醇醚(p=9)和TERGITOLTM 15-S-40脂肪醇聚乙二醇醚(p=40),均购自陶氏化学公司(TRITON、ECOSURF和TERGITOL均为陶氏化学公司的商标)。按乳液聚合物的重量计,非离子表面活性剂可以0至5重量%或0.1重量%至1重量%的量存在,
本发明的聚氨酯组合物可进一步包含一种或多种催化剂以增强固化。催化剂可以是用于双组分水基聚氨酯组合物的任何合适的催化剂。实例包括基于金属的催化剂,如含锡、铋、锌、铝、锆的催化剂或叔胺催化剂及其混合物,所述叔胺催化剂包括为单胺、二胺或三胺的脂肪族和脂环族叔胺催化剂。合适的基于金属的催化剂的实例可包括例如二月桂酸二丁基锡、硫醇二丁基锡、硫化二丁基锡、硫醇二甲基锡、巯基二丁基锡酯、二酮酸锆、二酮酸铝、新癸酸铋和锌胺化合物。叔胺催化剂可以包括例如三亚乙基二胺、三亚乙基胺、1,4-二氮杂双环[2.2.2]辛烷,6-(二丁基氨基)-1,8-二氮杂双环[5.4.0]十一碳-7-烯、二甲基环己基胺等。催化剂可以按总聚异氰酸酯和含羟基基团组分(例如乳液聚合物和任选的二醇或多元醇)固体计以0.01重量%至2.5重量%或0.1重量%至1.0重量%的量存在。
本发明的聚氨酯组合物可进一步包含一种或多种颜料。如本文所用,术语“颜料”是指能够在物质上有助于涂料的不透明性或遮盖能力的颗粒无机材料。此类材料的折射率通常大于1.8,并且包括无机颜料和有机颜料。合适的无机颜料的实例包括二氧化钛(TiO2)、氧化锌、硫化锌、氧化铁、硫酸钡、碳酸钡或其混合物。用于本发明的优选颜料为TiO2。水性涂料组合物还可以包含一种或多种延长剂。术语“延长剂”是指折射率小于或等于1.8且大于1.3的颗粒无机材料。合适的延长剂的实例包括碳酸钙、氧化铝(Al2O3)、粘土、硫酸钙、硅铝酸盐、硅酸盐、沸石、云母、硅藻土、固体或中空玻璃、陶瓷珠和不透明聚合物(如购自陶氏化学公司的ROPAQUETM Ultra E(ROPAQUE是陶氏化学公司的商标)),或其混合物。聚氨酯组合物可以具有0至75%、5%至50%或10%至30%的颜料体积浓度(PVC)。
本发明的聚氨酯组合物可进一步包含常规添加剂,例如着色剂、光稳定剂、紫外线(UV)吸收化合物、流平剂、润湿剂、分散剂、聚结剂、中和剂、消泡剂或流变改性剂。按聚氨酯组合物的重量计,这些添加剂可以0至20重量%、1至10重量%的量存在。
本发明的聚氨酯组合物可以用本领域中已知的技术来制备。制备水性涂料组合物的方法通常包含将包含乳液聚合物、硫酸盐和/或磺酸盐表面活性剂以及任选的二醇或多元醇、颜料和其它添加剂的水性分散体(也称为“A部分”)在施用之前与水可分散性聚异氰酸酯(也称为“B部分”)混合。聚氨酯组合物可以在环境温度(25℃)或在4℃至150℃、优选在环境条件至80℃范围内的温度下固化。固化温度可以根据衬底而变化。固化时间通常在高温下10分钟至在10至50℃下1至14天的范围内。合适衬底的实例包括混凝土、水泥衬底、木材、金属、石头、沥青、塑料、弹性衬底、玻璃或纺织品。
本发明的聚氨酯组合物可用于产生具有或不具有颜料或延长剂、密封剂、底漆、填缝剂组合物的涂料。双组分聚氨酯组合物可以提供由其制成的60°光泽度为90或更高的涂料,并且甚至在室温下储存至少6小时之后,仍可提供由其制成的60°光泽度为70或更高的涂料。聚氨酯组合物可以提供由其制成的硬度为H或更硬、2H或更硬或甚至3H或更硬的涂料。双组分聚氨酯组合物还可以提供具有令人满意的耐化学性以承受大于200次MEK摩擦的涂料。可以根据以下实例部分中描述的测试方法来测量光泽度、硬度和耐化学性。
本发明进一步提供了由以上所提及的衬底中的任一种上的双组分聚氨酯组合物制成的聚氨酯涂料。此类涂料可以是底漆层和任选的底涂层或彩色涂层上的多层涂料。涂料可以是建筑涂料、通用工业罩光涂料、船舶和防护性涂料、汽车涂料、汽车修补涂料、塑料涂料、木器涂料、卷材涂料和土木工程涂料。

苯乙烯(ST)、丙烯酸2-乙基己酯(EHA)、甲基丙烯酸(MAA)和甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)均可购自朗源化工有限公司(Langyuan Chemical Co.,Ltd)。

在实例中使用以下标准分析设备、测试方法和合成方法。
粒径测量
水性分散体中聚合物颗粒的粒径通过使用Brookhaven BI-90Plus粒径分析仪来测量,所述粒径分析仪采用光子相关光谱技术(样品颗粒的光散射)。此方法涉及将2滴待测试的水性分散体稀释于20mL的0.01M氯化钠(NaCl)溶液中,并且将所得混合物在样品比色杯中进一步稀释,以达到所需的计数率(K)(例如,对于10-300nm范围内的直径,K在250至500计数/秒范围内)。然后,测量水性聚合物分散体的粒径,并报告为以强度计的Z平均直径。
Tg测量
Tg通过DSC测量。在氮气气氛下,在装有自动进样器的TA Instrument DSC Q2000上,在密封铝盘中分析5-10毫克(mg)样品。通过DSC进行的Tg测量具有三个周期,包括-40℃至180℃,10℃/分钟(第1周期,然后保持5分钟以消除样品的热历史);180℃至-40℃,10℃/分钟(第2周期)和-40℃至180℃,10℃/分钟(第3周期)。通过取热流相对于温度转变中的中点作为Tg值从第3周期中获得Tg。
GPC分析
GPC分析一般是通过Agilent 1200执行。将样品溶解在浓度为2mg/mL的四氢呋喃(THF)/甲酸(FA)(5%)中,并且然后通过0.45μm聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)过滤器过滤,然后进行GPC分析。使用以下条件进行GPC分析:
柱:一个PLgel GUARD柱(10μm,50mm(毫米)x 7.5mm),串联的两个混合B柱(7.8mmx 300mm);柱温:40℃;流动相:THF/FA(5%);流速:1.0mL/分钟;进样量:100μL;检测器:Agilent折射率检测器,40℃;和校准曲线:使用多项式3拟合度,PL聚苯乙烯I窄标样,分子量在2329000至580g/mol范围内。
光泽度测试
根据ASTM D523(1999),使用BYK Gardener micro-TRI光泽度测量仪(BYK-Gardner USA,Columbia,Md.)以给定角度(60°)进行光泽度测量。
初始光泽度测量:在将双组分聚氨酯组合物中所有成分混合之后,立即将双组分聚氨酯组合物以150μm的湿厚度涂抹到铝面板(Q-panel A-46)上。在室温下干燥20分钟后,再将面板在60℃下干燥40分钟,并且然后测量初始光泽度。
储存后的光泽度测量:将聚氨酯组合物中的所有成分混合并在室温下储存6小时。然后,根据与如上文所描述的测量初始光泽度相同的程序和干燥/固化条件,制备由所得聚氨酯组合物涂覆的面板。然后测量此类面板在储存后的光泽度。
分别记录初始光泽度和储存后的光泽度的三个单独读数的平均值。可接受的初始光泽度(60°)为90或更高,并且储存后的光泽度(60°)为70或更高指示良好的保光性。
耐化学性测试
使用耐甲基乙基酮(MEK)双摩擦性测试涂料膜的耐化学性,并且根据ASTM D5402(1999)进行测试。将双组分聚氨酯组合物以150μm的湿厚度涂抹到铝面板(Q-panel A-46)上。在室温下干燥20分钟后,将面板在60℃下再干燥40分钟,然后在室温下再干燥7天。将所得的涂覆面板用于耐MEK双摩擦性测试。使用Atlas耐摩擦测量仪进行双摩擦,并且使用粗棉布吸收足够的MEK溶液。在每个涂料膜上进行800次双摩擦,并且记录使涂料膜第一次穿透所需要的双摩擦次数。在每个涂料膜上进行两次测量。
硬度测试
铅笔硬度测试是根据ASTM D3363(2011)在钢衬底(Q-panel R-46)上进行的。将双组分聚氨酯组合物以150μm的湿厚度涂抹到铝面板(Q-panel A-46)上。在室温下干燥20分钟后,将面板在60℃下再干燥40分钟,然后在室温下再干燥7天,将涂覆面板用于铅笔硬度测试。在铅笔未切入或划开薄膜时,记录铅笔芯的硬度。H或更硬是可接受的。
单体乳液稳定性
通过肉眼观察在室温下使单体乳液静置30分钟而不搅拌所获得的液体的状态来评估单体乳液的稳定性。无层分离指示单体乳液稳定,反之,层分离指示单体乳液稳定性较差。
实例(Ex)1
通过将318克(g)去离子(DI)水、23g DISPONIL Fes 993表面活性剂(30%)、173gMMA、306g ST、204g EHA、304g HEMA、16g MAA、16g PEM和21g n-DDM混合来制备稳定的单体乳液。
将DI水(600g)和Fes 993表面活性剂(30%)(42.6g)装入装有机械搅拌的五升多颈烧瓶中。在氮气气氛下将烧瓶的内含物加热到90℃。然后,将含氨水(25%,2.5g)的DI水(16.9g)、29g单体乳液和含过硫酸铵(APS)(2.03g)的DI水(16.9g)添加到搅拌烧瓶中,然后用DI水(3.75g)冲洗。在86℃下在160分钟内进一步添加剩余的单体乳液,然后用DI水(30g)冲洗。聚合结束时,在60℃下将含FeSO4.7H2O(0.005g)的DI水(15.75g)与含乙二胺四乙酸四钠盐(0.005g)的DI水(15.75g)的混合物、含t-BHP(70%,1.6g)的DI水(32.76g)溶液和含IAA(0.78g)的DI水(34.32g)溶液、含t-BHP(0.78g)的DI水(16.41g)溶液和含IAA(0.39g)的DI水(17.19g)溶液都添加到烧瓶中,接着在50℃下添加含氨水(25%,7.02g)的DI水(16.65g),以获得水性分散体。
实例2-5
实例2-5的水性分散体是基于在表1中给出的单体组成,分别根据如上文所描述的用于制备以上实例1的水性分散体的相同程序来制备的。用于制备每种水性聚合物分散体的单体乳液展示出良好的稳定性。
比较(Comp)实例A-I
这些水性分散体是基于表1给出的单体组成和表面活性剂类型,分别根据如上文所描述的用于制备以上实例1的水性分散体的相同程序来制备的。当制备比较实例A和B的水性聚合物分散体时,在所有步骤中分别使用相同量(以固体重量计)的RS-710(25%活性)和A-102(30%活性)来取代Fes 993(30%活性)表面活性剂。所获得的水性分散体的特性在表2中给出。这些聚合物分散体用作下文制备的漆料调配物中的粘合剂。

表2.水性分散体的特性
1粘度通过布氏粘度计(Brookfield viscometer)DV-I Primer(60rpm,主轴#2)测量;2Tg通过DSC测量;4Mn和Mw通过上述的GPC分析获得。
漆料调配物和比较漆料调配物
分别基于表3和表4中给出的调配物来制备漆料调配物(即涂料组合物)和比较(Comp)漆料调配物。每种漆料调配物的NCO基团与OH基团的摩尔比为1.2:1。使用高速Cowles分散器以1,500转/分钟(rpm)将研磨物阶段的成分混合30分钟。然后,使用常规的实验室混合器添加稀料阶段的成分以获得A部分。将每种漆料调配物的A部分放置过夜,并且接着使用高速Cowles分散器以600rpm将B部分添加到A部分持续10分钟以形成漆料调配物。根据上文所述的测试方法测量所得漆料调配物的特性,并且结果在表5中给出。

表4.比较漆料调配物
根据上述测试方法评估上文获得的漆料调配物,并且结果在表5中给出。如表5所示,包含RS-710或A-102表面活性剂的粘合剂提供具有较差保光性的漆料(漆料A和B)。在室温下储存6小时后,由0.25%的PEM和2.75%的MAA制成的粘合剂可提供60°光泽度为64.8的漆料。由3%的MAA或AMPS(不含PEM)制成的粘合剂提供具有不令人满意的保光性的漆料。重均分子量为108,470或76,055的粘合剂展现出低初始光泽度和/或较差的保光性(漆料F和I)。包含由5%HEMA制成的粘合剂的漆料G在室温下储存6小时后胶凝。包含15%HEMA的结构单元的粘合剂提供具有不令人满意的保光性的漆料(漆料H)。相比之下,本发明的漆料调配物都展示出90或更高的初始60°光泽度,并且甚至在室温下储存6小时后展现出良好的保光性,如60°光泽度为70所指示。

Claims (15)
1.一种双组分聚氨酯组合物,其包含:
(A)水性分散体,其包含乳液聚合物和选自由硫酸盐表面活性剂、不含羧基或羧酸基的磺酸盐表面活性剂或其混合物组成的组的表面活性剂;其中,重均分子量为70,000g/mol或更少的所述乳液聚合物包含按所述乳液聚合物的重量计,
大于0.25重量%的含磷的酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元、大于15重量%的羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸烷基酯的结构单元、单烯键式不饱和非离子单体的结构单元和0至10重量%的额外酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元;和
(B)水可分散性聚异氰酸酯。
3.根据权利要求2所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中在式(I)中,m在4至60的范围内,并且n为1。
4.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中,所述乳液聚合物的重均分子量为10,000至50,000g/mol。
5.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中,按所述乳液聚合物的重量计,所述乳液聚合物包含16重量%至40重量%的所述羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸烷基酯的结构单元。
6.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中,所述含磷的酸单体及其盐选自由以下组成的组:(甲基)丙烯酸磷酸乙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸磷酸丙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸磷酸丁酯、烯丙基醚磷酸酯、其盐或其混合物。
7.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中,所述羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸烷基酯选自由以下组成的组:丙烯酸2-羟乙酯、甲基丙烯酸2-羟乙酯、丙烯酸2-羟丙酯、甲基丙烯酸2-羟丙酯或其混合物。
8.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中所述乳液聚合物的所测量的玻璃化转变温度为0至100℃。
9.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中,按所述乳液聚合物的重量计,所述水性分散体包含0.1重量%至10重量%的所述表面活性剂。
10.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中,所述聚异氰酸酯中异氰酸酯基当量的总数与所述水性分散体中羟基当量的总数的当量比在3.0:1.0至0.8:1.0范围内。
11.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中,所述乳液聚合物的粒径为50至100nm。
12.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其中按所述乳液聚合物的重量计,所述乳液聚合物包含
1重量%至3重量%的所述含磷的酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元,
20重量%至35重量%的所述羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸烷基酯的结构单元,
55重量%至75重量%的所述单烯键式不饱和非离子单体的结构单元,所述单烯键式不饱和非离子单体选自苯乙烯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸环己酯、丙烯酸丁酯、丙烯酸2-乙基己酯或其混合物,和
0至5重量%的所述额外酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元。
13.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的聚氨酯组合物,其进一步包含颜料。
14.一种制备双组分聚氨酯组合物的方法,其包含:
(i)提供水性分散体,其包含重均分子量为70,000g/mol或更少的乳液聚合物和选自由硫酸盐表面活性剂、不含羧基或羧酸基的磺酸盐表面活性剂或其混合物组成的组的表面活性剂;其中,在链转移剂的存在下通过乳液聚合制备的所述乳液聚合物包含按所述乳液聚合物的重量计,
大于0.25重量%的含磷的酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元、大于15重量%的羟基官能的(甲基)丙烯酸烷基酯的结构单元、单烯键式不饱和非离子单体的结构单元和0至10重量%的额外酸单体和/或其盐的结构单元;和
(ii)将来自步骤(i)的所述水性分散体与水可分散性聚异氰酸酯混合。
15.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中,所述链转移剂是正十二烷基硫醇、十六烷基硫醇、十八烷硫醇、辛基硫醇、己硫醇、癸硫醇或其混合物。
