Description

Low-sensitivity mosquito-proof composition without organic solvent
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of daily chemical industry, in particular to a low-sensitivity mosquito-proof composition without organic solvent.
Background
Insect repellents are a revolution in the use of insecticides. The repellent can be applied to the skin to protect the skin from the biting of mosquitoes, mites, lice, and insects. With the increasing problem of resistance to insecticides and the increasing demand for safety of pesticides, the market needs new, safer active ingredients to replace existing compounds.
P-menthane-3,8-diol, also known as p
Figure BDA0002640378250000011
-3,8-diol or Menthanediol, known by the english name p-Menthane-3,8-diol, Menthanediol, PMD for short. PMD is an active ingredient for mosquito repellents, specifically with a parellel odor similar to that of menthol, which makes people feel cool, and consists of 8 isomers, generally regarded as a mixture of isomers. PMD is the only natural active ingredient of insect repellents permitted in the united states and european union, and is useful as an insect repellent for mosquitoes, rhinorrhea, millipedes, and the like, with long effective times. When the compound is used as a mosquito repellent, the PMD and the DEET have the same mosquito repelling effect when used in the same amount, and the toxicity is only one sixth of that of the DEET.
The p-menthane-3,8-diol is in crystal form at normal temperature, and the melting point is higher than the skin temperature. At present, mosquito repellent products using p-menthane-3,8-diol as a main component in the market are prepared by using ethanol, polyhydric alcohol and other organic solvents to compound surfactants to solubilize the p-menthane-3,8-diol, and although the stable products of the p-menthane-3,8-diol can be obtained in the combination form, the ethanol is used as a solvent, the mosquito repellent effect is reduced and the effective time is shortened after the ethanol is volatilized; the polyhydric alcohol is used as a solvent, and a large amount of organic solvent is introduced into the formula, so that the formula cost is increased. Part of people have sensitization to mosquito repellent containing p-menthane-3,8-diol when the dosage is large.

Smearing mosquito repellent for 2h, putting hands into mosquito cage with qualified attack power for 2min, and observing whether there is mosquito coming and falling before and sucking blood. And then testing every 1h, and judging that the mosquito repellent is invalid as long as one mosquito sucks blood in front of the mosquito. The effective protection time (h) of the mosquito repellent was recorded. The contrast test is firstly carried out by the contrast hand each time, the test insects with qualified attack force can be continuously tested, and the test insects with qualified attack force need to be replaced for testing if the attack force is unqualified.
The specific method of the attack force test comprises the following steps: 300 Aedes albopictus (female mosquito) were placed in a 400mm x 300mm mosquito cage, and the back of the hand was exposed to 40mm x 40mm skin, with the remainder tightly covered.
