Description

Device and method for peeling steering wheel
Technical Field
The invention relates to a device and a method for peeling a steering wheel. In particular, the present invention relates to an apparatus and method for separating a polymer casing covering a metal frame including at least one recess from the metal frame and recovering the polymer casing and the metal frame.
Background
Fig. 1 is a diagram illustrating a conventional steering wheel of an automobile photographed with a digital camera.
Fig. 2 is a view showing an automobile steering wheel including a recess.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view showing an automotive steering wheel including a recess and a polymer housing covering the recess.
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the steering wheel (100) for an automobile has a metal frame consisting of a rim (130), spokes (130) and a hub (110), and a soft outer shell (200) of the steering wheel covering the metal frame. Further, a leather cover or a hard resin for beauty and workability may be included, or a heating mat for winter convenience, a switch for operating an instrument panel of a car, and the like may be additionally installed.
The steering wheel is connected with the steering shaft to control the moving direction of the wheels. Therefore, the steering wheel may be configured to include a through hole in the center, and a steering shaft coupled to the steering wheel is inserted into the through hole.
Conventionally, a metal frame of a steering wheel was originally used in the form of an assembled steel pipe and a steel plate, but recently, magnesium was integrally manufactured by die casting, and polyurethane was mainly used for soft foam.
As shown in fig. 3, in order to reduce the weight of the steering wheel of the automobile and increase the coupling force between the metal frame of the steering wheel and the soft foam, the metal frame has a concave cross-section to improve the mechanical coupling strength, and an adhesive is applied between the metal frame and the soft foam.
In order to recover the magnesium frame in the steering wheel generated during the disposal after the lifetime of the vehicle is over, it is necessary to remove materials other than the frame, in which it is difficult to remove the soft foam.
In addition, in order to prevent repeated use, the spoke portion of the metal skeleton of defective parts generated in the automobile manufacturing process is broken. In this case, the handle cannot be fixed using a steel hub located at the center of the handle, which further increases the difficulty.

As shown in fig. 4 and 5, an apparatus (1000) for peeling a steering wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention is an apparatus for recycling a steering wheel of a vehicle, the steering wheel including: a metal frame including at least one recess and a through-hole for passing a rotation shaft; and a polymeric housing covering the recess. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a rotatable shaft (1100); a support portion (1200) having a hollow at the center, rotating together with the shaft by setting the shaft to pass through the hollow, and supporting the steering wheel; a drive unit (1300) that can rotate the shaft; and a cutting part (1400) capable of cutting the outer case of the steering wheel according to the rotation of the shaft.
The shaft (1100) may rotate and may be a rotation center of the steering wheel and the support portion supporting the steering wheel.
The shaft (1100) may be disposed vertically to the ground or may be disposed horizontally with respect to the ground, but is not limited thereto. The example of fig. 4 shows an embodiment in which the shaft is arranged perpendicular to the ground.
The shaft (1100) is connected to a driving part, which will be described later, and can rotate at a speed of 0.1 to 10 rpm. The rotation speed of the shaft is controlled based on the operating condition of the apparatus for peeling a steering wheel of the present invention according to the setting of a program for controlling a driving part.
When the rotation speed of the shaft (1100) is less than 1rpm, the recycling productivity of the steering wheel may be reduced, and when the rotation speed of the shaft is greater than 10rpm, the accuracy of the apparatus for peeling the steering wheel may be reduced. If complicated work is required, a device capable of adjusting the rotation speed to 0.1rpm must be equipped.
The shaft (1100) may preferably be in the form of a rod, and the horizontal cross-section of the rod may be at least one of circular, triangular and square, but is not limited thereto.
The shaft (1100) is mechanically fastened to a support (1200) to be described later, and the shaft and the support may be driven by the driving part to rotate at the same speed. In addition, the mechanically fastened support may be stopped by stopping the shaft.
Fig. 6 is a view illustrating a state in which a shaft and a support part of a device for peeling a steering wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention are fastened.
As shown in fig. 6, the support portion (1200) has a hollow in the center, and rotates together with the shaft by disposing the shaft to pass through the hollow, and supports the steering wheel.
As shown in fig. 6, the supporting part (1200) may include a disc-shaped member having a hollow at the center, and a structure extending downward from the disc corresponding to the shape of the shaft, and may be mechanically connected to the shaft. The member of the disc of the support portion forms a bearing surface on which the steering wheel can be supported, and can support an upper portion or a lower portion of the steering wheel in close contact with the support portion.
The drive unit (1300) can rotate a shaft (1100).
The drive (1300) may convert kinetic energy applied to the drive into rotational motion on the shaft (1100).
In addition, the driving part (1300) may include: a motor member for generating rotational or kinetic energy; a power transmission device for providing the kinetic energy generated by the motor member to the shaft in the form of a rotational motion; and a braking device for decelerating and stopping the shaft.
The motor member can accurately control the rotational speed of the shaft, and a servo motor having a high-speed response characteristic can be used.
The power transmission means may be constituted by a pair of gears each including at least one groove portion, and may convert at least one of a rotational motion, a linear motion, and a reciprocating motion in one direction into a rotational motion about a rotational center of the shaft. However, the configuration of the power transmission device is not limited thereto.
In addition, the driving part (1300) may further include a braking device for decelerating and stopping a rotational speed of a shaft mechanically connected to the driving part and a support mechanically fastened to the shaft. The cutting member may be made of a material having a higher hardness than the steering wheel, depending on the material of the steering wheel. For example, if the steering wheel includes a magnesium alloy frame and a polyurethane housing covering it, the cutting member is preferably made of a metal alloy or a composite material having a hardness higher than that of the magnesium alloy. The material of the cutting member may be used without limitation as long as it is a material generally used by those skilled in the art, and may include, for example, at least one of WC — Co cemented carbide, TiC cermet, and Ti (C, N) cermet.
Fig. 8 is an enlarged view of the cut portion.
Fig. 9a and 9b are views illustrating a process of peeling a polymer housing from a steering wheel by two-step driving of a cutting part.
As shown in fig. 8, 9a and 9b, the cutting member (1410) is based on a cylindrical shape, and a side surface of the cutting member may have a circular concave shape to correspond to a shape of a rim of a steering wheel, so that both ends of the side surface of the cutting member may have a protruding shape. Therefore, the cutting member can remove most of the outer case except the polymer outer case formed in the groove of the steering wheel by driving in the first step. In addition, the cutting member may remove the polymer housing covering the groove formed in the steering wheel by the driving in the second step and the protrusions of both ends of the side surface of the cutting member.
The shaft (1420) may transmit a rotational motion of a motor member (1440) described later to the cutting member (1410), whereby the cutting member may rotate at a speed of 0.1 to 10 rpm.
When the rotation speed of the shaft (1420) is less than 1rpm, the recycling productivity of the steering wheel may be reduced, and when the rotation speed of the shaft is greater than 10rpm, the accuracy of the apparatus for peeling the steering wheel may be reduced. If complicated work is required, a device capable of adjusting the rotation speed to 0.1rpm must be equipped.
The position control means (1430) of the cutting member may be a linear module or a manipulator that controls the position of the cutting part and the cutting member in at least one of a horizontal direction and a vertical direction, but is not limited thereto. The linear module or the manipulator may control the position of the cutting part and the cutting member. When a steering wheel size is input to a setting program, the positions of the cutting part and the cutting member may be adjusted to correspond to the steering wheel size. The rotating motor can precisely control the rotating speed, and a servo motor having a high-speed response characteristic can be used, but is not limited thereto.
In addition, the cutting part (1400) may further include a buffer member (1450) capable of appropriately controlling a pressing force when the cutting member performs a removing operation of the steering wheel. The buffer member may be driven so that the cutting portion can control a force pressing the steering wheel.

The fixing part (1500) may include: a securing member (1510) covering at least a portion of a side of a steering wheel rim (rim); and a fixed frame (1520) that supports the fixing member and drives the fixing member to apply a force vector (force vector) toward a central axis of the steering wheel.
The fixing member (1510) may be formed in a shape surrounding at least a portion of a side surface of the steering wheel. By arranging the steering wheel on the support portion and adjusting the distance of the fixing portion from the support portion, the fixing portion can operate so that the steering wheel does not deviate from the outside or from the position where it is located during the driving of the device of the present invention.
The fixing frame (1520) may operate the fixing member to apply a force vector (force vector) toward a central axis of the steering wheel, and by the force vector, the steering wheel may be fixed during driving of the apparatus.
In addition, the fixing part (1500) may further include a height adjusting part (1530) capable of adjusting a height of the fixing member. During the time when the device according to an embodiment of the present invention performs peeling of the outer case of the steering wheel, the height of the steering wheel may be changed as the outer case is cut. The height adjustment part may adjust the position and height of the fixing member in response to a change in height of the steering wheel.
In addition, the apparatus for peeling a steering wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention may further include a collecting part (not shown) capable of collecting the metal frame and the polymer housing cut off from the steering wheel.
The collecting part is preferably disposed close to the cutting part, so that the polymer housing and the metal frame generated by the cutting part can be collected. At this time, the collection may be performed by applying a negative pressure. The cut polymer housing and the metal frame collected by the collecting part are immersed in water and easily sorted by a difference in specific gravity to recover the metal frame and the polymer housing, respectively.
The apparatus for peeling a steering wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention further includes a main body. The cutting member (2410) is based on a cylindrical shape, and a side surface of the cutting member may have a circular concave shape to correspond to a shape of a rim of a steering wheel, so that both ends of the side surface of the cutting member may have a protruding shape.
The shaft (2420) may transmit a rotational motion of a motor member, described later, to the cutting member, whereby the cutting member may be rotated at a speed of 0.1 to 10 rpm.
When the rotation speed of the shaft (2420) is less than 1rpm, the recycling productivity of the steering wheel may be reduced, and when the rotation speed of the shaft is greater than 10rpm, the accuracy of the device for peeling the steering wheel may be reduced. If complicated work is required, a device capable of adjusting the rotation speed to 0.1rpm must be equipped.
The position control means (2430) of the cutting member may be a linear module or a manipulator that controls the position of the cutting part and the cutting member in at least one of a horizontal direction and a vertical direction, but is not limited thereto. The linear module or manipulator may control the position of the cutting part and the cutting member. When a steering wheel size is input to a setting program, the positions of the cutting part and the cutting member may be adjusted to correspond to the steering wheel size.
The rotating motor (2440) can precisely control the rotating speed, and a servo motor having a high-speed response characteristic can be used, but is not limited thereto.
The apparatus for peeling a steering wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention further includes a main body. The shaft, the support portion, the driving portion, the cutting portion, and the fixing portion may be supported on the main body as needed, and the main body may be provided in a configuration not particularly limited.
Method for recycling steering wheel
The method for recovering a steering wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the following steps using the above apparatus for recovering a steering wheel: arranging and fixing the steering wheel on the support portion; and removing the polymer housing from the steering wheel.
In addition, before the step of disposing and fixing the steering wheel on the support portion is performed, the method may further include a step of weakening a chemical bond between the steering wheel and the polymer housing.
The step of weakening the chemical bond between the steering wheel and the polymer housing may be performed by immersing the steering wheel in an environment having a temperature range of 50 to 90 ℃.
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and drawings, but is intended to be limited by the appended claims. Accordingly, those skilled in the art may make various substitutions, modifications and changes without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention as set forth in the claims, and those substitutions, modifications and changes also fall within the scope of the present invention.
