Background
With the continuous improvement of living standard of people, the diet concept is gradually changed from full eating to good eating. The pork has delicious meat quality, becomes the most popular food on dining tables of people, and the breeding scale of pigs is larger and larger. In the process of pig breeding, farmers generally add antibiotics and artificially synthesized growth promoters into the feed of pigs at each stage in order to reduce production cost, prevent the pigs from being possibly infected with diseases at different growth stages and promote the pigs to grow rapidly; the abuse of antibiotics can cause the residual antibiotics in the live pigs, not only can bring potential hidden dangers to the pork food safety, but also can cause harm to the health of human beings and living environment.
The main goal of pork producers is to reduce production costs. The feed may account for more than 75% of the pork production cost. However, the traditional pig feed has poor palatability, low feed intake of pigs, slow weight gain and low feed return rate, is easy to cause intestinal diseases, cannot meet the growth requirements of the existing growing pigs, and has certain defects. Therefore, the high-quality pig feed with a reasonable formula becomes one of the key technologies for raising pigs, and different types of pig feeds are suitable for pigs of different ages.
The feed additive is a core component of compound feed, and since the application of the chemical synthetic additive in the early century of this century, the additive industry is developed rapidly, so that the great improvement of the yield and quality of animal husbandry and even whole agricultural production is driven, but the negative influence brought by the chemical synthetic additive makes people realize that the modern feed industry has to go on a non-toxic, residue-free and sustainable development way; the Chinese herbal medicine antibiotic-free feed additive is a compound preparation produced by natural Chinese herbal medicines or dregs thereof, and the preparation is added into daily ration for livestock and poultry to eat or drink under the common feeding condition, so that the ideal effects of preventing diseases, accelerating growth, improving production performance and improving the quality of livestock products can be achieved; traditional Chinese herbal medicines are abundant natural resources in China and show great benefits to human health.
