The invention provides an automatic weighing and counting system and method for cattle and sheep, wherein the system comprises at least one electronic tag, two card readers, a wireless floor scale, two automatic doors, a display, a concentrator and a big data platform; electronic tags is used for distinguishing cattle and sheep identities, and wireless weighbridge is used for weighing the weight of cattle and sheep and associating the electronic tags that cattle and sheep correspond sends for the concentrator, and the concentrator uploads data to big data platform, and big data platform saves the data of receiving to form cattle and sheep data report and curve. The invention can automatically count the in and out of the cattle and sheep and measure the weight of the cattle and sheep, and report the count and weight data to realize information management. The electronic tag comprises: the RFID card is used for identifying the identities of the cattle and the sheep, is a passive electronic device and does not need to be powered. The electronic tag has a unique address code and is marked on a shell of the electronic tag. From birth, each cattle and sheep wears an electronic tag at a certain part (such as ears) of the body of the cattle and sheep to serve as the unique identification code of the cattle and sheep. Automatic door: two automatic doors are respectively and fixedly installed at two entrances of the cattle and sheep entrance and exit channel and are linked with the wireless weighbridge. When the weight on the wireless ground scale exceeds the limit value, the automatic door is informed to be closed, and when the automatic door receives a signal, the door is closed; when the weight on the wireless ground scale is below the limit value, the door is informed to be opened, and the automatic door is opened after receiving the signal. The big data platform and the mobile phone app can open and close the automatic door through the concentrator and the wireless floor scale. Preferably, the electronic door further comprises a mechanical switch, and when the electronic equipment fails, the mechanical switch can be used for opening and closing the door.
