Description

Panel bracket and drawer
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a panel bracket for fixing a front panel to a side frame of a drawer according to the preamble of claim 1, and a drawer.
Background
A generic panel carrier is known, for example, from DE 102010060720 a 1. The panel bracket is used for adjustably fixing the front panel to the side frame of the drawer. Due to unavoidable tolerances in production, adjustments to the front panel are often required.
For adjusting the front panel, in the prior art described above, height-adjusting eccentrics and lateral adjusting screws are used, which can be adjusted by means of a screwdriver.
For such panel carriers, it is desirable that the connections of the adjustment elements in the panel carrier and their connection to the side frames of the drawer are designed to be as space-saving as possible. With the above-described prior art, space can already be saved by fitting the height-adjusting element and the side-adjusting element to each other, in particular for the side frame adapter to which the panel carrier is attached.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to further develop a panel carrier and a drawer of the generic type such that the total height and width of the connection of the panel carrier in the side frame of the drawer carrier can be further reduced.
This object is achieved by a panel carrier having the features of claim 1 and a drawer having the features of claim 11.
A panel bracket for securing a front panel to a side frame of a drawer according to the present invention has a bracket member attachable to the front panel and a base portion mountable on the side frame and surrounding the load bearing member. The base has two lateral side flaps aligned at least partially parallel to each other.
The panel bracket further comprises a cylindrical rotation axis extending through the base and the bracket member and a first adjustment element for adjusting the front panel, wherein the first adjustment element is arranged spaced apart from the rotation axis.
The bracket member is arranged such that it can pivot relative to the base about the axis of rotation.
This panel bracket is characterized by an extremely compact design.
Advantageous embodiment variants are the subject of the dependent claims.
The panel bracket advantageously comprises a second adjustment element having an axis of rotation and the bracket part is arranged such that it can pivot relative to the base about the axis of rotation of the second adjustment element.
According to an advantageous embodiment variant, the first adjustment element is designed as a height adjustment element for adjusting the front panel in a direction parallel to the longitudinal extension of the carrier part.
The second adjusting element is preferably designed as a lateral adjusting element for adjusting the front panel in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the regions of the lateral flanks aligned parallel with respect to one another.
According to an advantageous embodiment variant, the first adjusting element is designed as an eccentric rotating cam.
The first adjusting element is preferably accommodated between the lateral flanks of the base part, which ensures that the second adjusting element is accommodated in a space-saving manner.
According to a further embodiment variant, the first adjusting element has at least one partially annular support disk and a pivot pin which is positioned perpendicularly and eccentrically with respect to the support disk surface.
The at least one support disk is supported on a support web on at least one of the lateral flanks of the base part, wherein the base part is pivoted relative to the axis of rotation of the pivot pin by rotating the first adjusting element and the carrier part as a whole is thus displaced in the vertical direction.
In order to guide the pivoting movement of the base part, at least one lateral flank of the base part has an elongated hole in which an end piece of the pivot pin is received.
According to another embodiment variant, a retaining bolt serving as a pivot bearing is attached in the region of the end of the lateral flank of the base remote from the second adjusting element.
This retaining bolt can be pushed into the adapter in a horizontal direction but be fixed vertically in the adapter, which makes it possible to reduce the height extension of the catch mechanism on the adapter used to mount the panel carrier to the side frame, compared to adapter devices known in the prior art.
According to another preferred embodiment variant, the upper and lower guide edges of the lateral flanks of the base are formed in a rounded manner in the region above and below the second adjusting element to facilitate the pivoting movement of the carrier part relative to the base.
Correspondingly, the guide edge of the bracket part which rests against the edge is correspondingly formed in a rounded manner.
A drawer having a front panel fixed to a side frame via a panel bracket according to the present invention is characterized by the panel bracket as described above.
According to a preferred embodiment variant, each of the side frames has an adapter and a frame cover, wherein the retaining bolt and the pivot pin of the first adjusting element are received in a slot of the adapter extending in the longitudinal direction of the side frame.
Particularly preferably, the diameter of the retaining bolt is smaller than the diameter of the pivot pin of the first adjusting element. The slot of the adapter preferably widens gradually towards the front panel, which makes it possible to mount the panel carrier to the adapter of the drawer.

Detailed Description
In the following description of the drawings, terms such as upper, lower, left, right, front, rear, etc., refer exclusively to the exemplary representations and positions of the panel carrier, front panel, base, carrier member, adjustment element, etc., selected in the various figures. These terms should not be construed as limiting, i.e., these references may vary due to different working positions or mirror symmetric designs, etc.
In fig. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a piece of furniture with several drawers 2 that can be pulled out of a furniture body, each drawer having a drawer bottom and side frames 4 and a front panel 3 fixed to the side frames 4.
The panel bracket 5 shown in fig. 2 is used to fix the front panel 3 to the side frame 4 of the corresponding drawer 2. Depending on the size or height of the front panel 3, one such panel bracket 5 or several panel brackets 5, in particular two of them, may be arranged on each side frame 4, for example as shown in fig. 5 and 6.
In the embodiment variant shown here, each side frame 4 has a frame adapter 42 which is accommodated in and attached to a frame cover 41. The frame adapter 42 is used to mount the panel bracket 5.
Fig. 3 to 10 show details of a special embodiment variant of this panel carrier 5.
As shown in fig. 3 to 10, the panel bracket 5 has a base 6 to which a bracket member 7 attachable to the front panel 3 can be mounted on the side frame 4. The bracket part has two headpieces 71 for attachment to the panel 3 and a coupling area 72. The bracket member 7 and the base 6 are pivotably connected to each other via a rotation axis. The base portion 6 has two lateral side flaps 62 aligned at least partially parallel to each other.
A central web 66 connects the two lateral flanks 61, 62 at their ends close to the carrier part 7. In this embodiment, the bracket member 7 is enclosed by the base 6 in the mounted state in a U-shaped manner. The base part can also consist of several parts, for example two parts, and be formed by plates connected to each other by connecting elements.
In the region of the ends of the lateral flanks 61, 62 facing away from the central web 66, these lateral flanks are connected to one another by means of a retaining bolt 10 accommodated in a hole 65, which is gripped from behind as an abutment by means of a locking hook (not shown) of a locking unit of the frame adapter 42.
As can be further seen in fig. 3 to 10, in this embodiment example the front panel carrier 5 also has a first adjusting element 9 and a second adjusting element 8 for adjusting the front panel 3. The second adjustment element 8 serves for lateral adjustment of the front panel 3 and in the embodiment variant shown here has an adjustment pin surrounded by a helical spring 83 with a first pin member 81 and a second pin member 82, which extend through the passage opening 63 in the base 6 and the threaded hole 73 in the bracket member 7.
The coil spring 83 engages with the threads of the threaded hole 73 as shown in fig. 4.
By actuating this second adjusting element 8, the carrier part 7 is moved between the lateral flanks 61, 62 of the base part 6 in a coupling region 72 of the carrier part 7 enclosed by the base part 6. As shown in fig. 4, the passage opening 63 of the base 6 is provided in both lateral flanks 61, 62.
As can be seen in particular in fig. 8 to 10, the carrier part 7 can be pivoted relative to the base part 6 about the axis of rotation of the second adjusting element 8, which here is in the form of an adjusting pin. It is clearly visible that the first adjusting element 9 is at a distance from the axis of rotation. Alternatively, only the first adjustment element 9 may be present, and the base 6 and the bracket member 7 are connected to each other via a bolt as a rotation axis.
To facilitate this pivoting movement of the base part 6 relative to the bracket part 7, the upper and lower guide edges 68 of the lateral flanks 61, 62 of the base part 6 are formed in a rounded manner in the region above and below the second adjusting element 8.
Correspondingly, the guide edge 75 of the bracket part 7 adjacent to the guide edge 68 is rounded with the same radius in order to guide the pivoting movement of the base 6 relative to the bracket part 7, so that the front panel 3 does not tilt downwards during the rotational movement, but can only move vertically upwards or downwards.
The first adjusting element 9 is designed as a height adjusting element for adjusting the front panel 3 in a direction parallel to the longitudinal extension of the carrier part 7, as shown in fig. 3 to 10.
As can be seen in particular in fig. 4, the first adjusting element 9 in the preferred embodiment variant shown here is designed as an eccentric rotating cam. This rotary cam is located between the lateral flanks 61, 62 of the base 6, as shown in figures 3 and 7.
The first adjusting element 9, which is designed as an adjusting cam, has two supporting disks 92 and a pivot pin 91, which is positioned perpendicularly and eccentrically with respect to the supporting disk surface, as shown in fig. 4. The support disk 92 can be designed as a pitch circle, an arc or as in this embodiment the shape of an involute. In addition, the support disk 92 here still has parallel surfaces in order to avoid resetting under load.
It is also conceivable that the first adjusting element 9 has only one such supporting disk 92, from the inner surface of which the pivot 91 extends vertically.
When mounted, the circumferential surface of the support disc 92 is located between two respective support webs 67 formed on the lateral flanks 61, 62 of the base 6.
It is also conceivable here that, in the case of a first adjusting element 9 having only one such supporting disk 92, only one of the lateral flanks 61, 62 of the base 6 is provided with a supporting web 67 spaced apart by a distance equal to the diameter of the supporting disk 92.
When the panel bracket 5 is mounted on the frame adapter 42, the pivot pin 91 is received in the slot 43 of the frame adapter 42 extending in the longitudinal direction of the side frame 4 and is thus fixed vertically.
As a result, by turning the first adjustment member 9, the base 6 is moved or pivoted downwards or upwards relative to the axis of rotation of the pivot 91, depending on the direction of rotation of the pivot 91.
For adjusting the first adjusting element 9, an elongated hole 64 is provided on at least one of the lateral flanks 61, 62 of the base part 6, in which an end piece 93 of the pivot pin 91 for guiding the pivoting movement of the base part 6 is accommodated.
The front face of this end piece 93 preferably has a tool holder 94, for example in the shape of a cross slot, as shown in fig. 4.
The axis of rotation of the base 6 relative to the frame adapter 42 is defined by the retaining bolt 10 which is also received in the slot 43 when the panel bracket 5 is mounted on the frame adapter 42.
The slot 43 is preferably designed with one or more steps 44, wherein the inlet area of the slot 43 is designed to be wider than the rear area of the slot 93 further away from the carrier part 7 to accommodate the pivot pin 91 of the first adjusting element 9.
The transition between the different widths of the slot 93 is preferably stepped so that the end of the slot 43 near the bracket member 7 forms a step 44.
The support web 67 of the base 6 is preferably curved towards the space between the lateral flanks 61, 62, as shown in fig. 3, 4 and 7. This allows a particularly narrow design of the base 6 and thus of the side frame 4 of the drawer 2.
Fig. 5 shows a panel 3 with two panel carriers 5 arranged at a vertical distance from each other and a side frame 4 with two slots 43. In this case, both panel carriers 5 are designed with a base 6 and a carrier part 7. In this case, however, it is sufficient if one of the two panel carriers 5 is equipped with the first adjusting element 9 in two parts. The upper panel carrier 5 is non-functional in terms of height adjustment and can also be designed as a simple, at least two-part panel carrier without lateral and/or height adjustment.
The panel carrier 5 according to the invention can compensate for large tolerances, for example in a drilling pattern, when mounting the front panel 3 to the side frame 4, and at the same time ensure that the retaining bolt 10 can always be inserted into the slot 43.
Fig. 11 and 12 show details of a further embodiment variant of this panel carrier 5. The basic design of the panel carrier 5 shown here corresponds to the basic design of the panel carrier 5 shown in fig. 3. In order to further stabilize the connection between the base 6 and the bracket part 7, bolts 11 aligned parallel to the adjustment direction of the second adjustment element 8 are guided through elongated holes 12 integrally formed on the bracket part 7, preferably above and below the second adjustment element 8.
