Bu Gu Zhi is warm in nature and pungent and bitter in flavor. It enters kidney and spleen meridians. Warming kidney, tonifying yang, receiving qi, and stopping diarrhea. It is indicated for kidney yang deficiency, cold pain of waist and knees, impotence, spermatorrhea, frequent micturition, diarrhea due to spleen and kidney yang deficiency, dyspnea due to kidney deficiency and vitiligo. Fructus Psoraleae has kidney tonifying effect.
Xianlingpi is pungent, warm and nontoxic in flavor. Invigorating kidney, supporting yang, dispelling pathogenic wind, removing dampness, strengthening tendons and bones, and can be used for treating sexual impotence, spermatorrhea, asthenia cold, infertility, frequent micturition, incontinence of urine, cough and asthma due to kidney deficiency, soreness of waist and knees, rheumatalgia, hemiplegia, and limb numbness.
