Background
The starting performance is an important index for measuring the performance quality of the diesel engine; whether a starter motor or other starting method is used, the resistance distance from the interior of the engine must first be overcome; therefore, the starting equipment can be better matched only by accurately obtaining the starting resistance moment of the diesel engine; the starting resistance moment mainly comes from the friction resistance inside the diesel engine, and the friction resistance is mainly influenced by factors such as the viscosity of lubricating oil between piston rings, the friction force between piston rings and cylinder liners, the friction force between piston skirt parts and the cylinder liners, the friction of a gas distribution system, the friction of a cooling water pump and a lubricating oil pump, the friction of a bearing and the like; the influence factors of the starting resistance moment are complex and cannot be accurately obtained through a calculation method, and at present, the starting resistance moment is mainly measured by the following three methods in the industry:
1. an electric dynamometer with a dragging function is adopted.
2. And based on the acquired data of the starting motor, establishing a starting resistance moment mathematical model for calculation.

For high power diesel engines, it is difficult to find an electrical dynamometer with sufficient power. Therefore, a starting resistance testing system consisting of a variable frequency motor, a variable speed gear, a torque tachometer, a data acquisition system and other equipment and instruments is an ideal choice, and no relevant patent is available at present on the aspect of the resistance moment testing of the diesel engine based on the testing method.
