Abstract
本发明的目的在于提供一种尤其具备稳定的光学特性的液晶显示装置。本发明的液晶显示设备(10)的特征在于具有:液晶显示面板(11),其具有对向基板(11a)及TFT基板(11b)、以及配置于基板之间的液晶层(11c);导光板(12),其配置于液晶显示面板(11)的背面侧;密封部件(15),其将对向基板(11a)与导光板(12)之间密封;及含量子点的薄片(1),其配置于TFT基板(11b)与导光板(12)之间;含量子点的薄片通过密封部件而被密封。

技术领域
本发明涉及一种液晶显示设备。
背景技术
例如,在下述专利文献中公开有一种与液晶显示设备相关的发明。在专利文献1中公开有一种液晶显示设备,其在将液晶注入至基板间而成的液晶显示面板的背面侧贴合光学膜并在光学膜的背面侧配置有背光源。此外,在专利文献2所记载的发明中公开有一种液晶显示设备,其在液晶显示面板的背面侧贴合导光板或扩散片等光学膜并在导光板的侧面配置光源而成。

发明内容
然而,在各专利文献所记载的发明中,配置于液晶显示面板的背面的光学膜并未被气密密封,存在因环境变化而导致光学特性产生偏差的问题。
本发明是鉴于该情况而完成的,目的在于提供一种尤其具备稳定的光学特性的液晶显示设备。
[解决问题的技术手段]
本发明的液晶显示设备的特征在于具有:液晶显示面板,其具有第1基板及第2基板、以及配置于所述第1基板及所述第2基板之间的液晶层;背面部件,其配置于所述液晶显示面板的所述第2基板侧;密封部件,其将所述第1基板与所述背面部件之间密封;以及含量子点的部件,其配置于所述第2基板与所述背面部件之间,所述含量子点的部件通过所述密封部件而被密封。
在本发明中,优选为所述液晶层与所述含量子点的部件通过共享的所述密封部件而被密封。
此外,本发明的液晶显示设备的特征在于具有:液晶显示面板,其具有第1基板及第2基板、以及配置于所述第1基板及所述第2基板之间的液晶层;背面部件,其配置于所述液晶显示面板的所述第2基板侧;密封部件,其将所述第2基板与所述背面部件之间密封;以及含量子点的部件,其配置于所述第2基板与所述背面部件之间,所述含量子点的部件通过所述密封部件而被密封。
在本发明中,优选为偏光部件、光扩散部件及亮度提高部件中的至少任一个光学部件与所述含量子点的部件一并密封于所述第2基板与所述背面部件之间。
此外,在本发明中,优选为所述光学部件至少包含所述偏光部件。此外,在本发明中,优选为所述偏光部件具有偏光板、及层叠于所述偏光板的表面的亮度提高膜。
此外,在本发明中,优选为所述背面部件为导光板,在所述第2基板与所述导光板之间包含偏光板、及层叠于所述偏光板的表面的亮度提高膜、以及所述含量子点的部件,所述含量子点的部件、所述偏光板、及所述亮度提高膜通过所述密封部件而被密封。
此外,本发明的液晶显示设备的特征在于具有:液晶显示面板,其具有第1基板及第2基板、以及配置于所述第1基板及所述第2基板之间的液晶层;密封部件,其将所述第1基板与所述第2基板之间密封;及含量子点的部件,其配置于所述第1基板与所述第2基板之间;且所述含量子点的部件通过所述密封部件而被密封。
根据本发明的液晶显示设备,能够获得稳定的光学特性。

具体实施方式
以下,对本发明的一实施方式(以下,简记为“实施方式”)详细地进行说明。另外,本发明并不限定于以下的实施方式,能够在其主旨的范围内进行各种变化并实施。
(液晶显示设备)
图1是表示发明的第1实施方式的液晶显示设备的剖视图。本实施方式中的液晶显示设备10具备液晶显示面板11、配置于液晶显示面板11的背面的背面部件12、密封位于液晶显示面板11的正面侧的对向基板11a与背面部件12之间的密封部件15、配置于位于液晶显示面板11的背面侧的TFT(Thin Film Transistor,薄膜晶体管)基板11b与背面部件12之间的含量子点的薄片1作为必须的构成部件。
如图1所示,液晶显示面板11构成为具有对向基板(第1基板)11a、TFT基板(第2基板)11b、及密封配置于对向基板11a与TFT基板11b之间的液晶层11c的密封部件15。
如图1所示,在对向基板11a的内侧设置有彩色滤光片(CF)16。彩色滤光片16针对各像素而形成红、绿、蓝的各种彩色滤光片,且形成彩色图像。此外,在对向基板11a的背面形成有对向电极17。如此,对向基板11a被制成在玻璃基板的内侧形成有彩色滤光片16及对向电极17的结构。
此外,如图1所示,在TFT基板11b的内侧形成有像素电极18及薄膜晶体管(TFT)。如此,TFT基板11b被制成在玻璃基板的内侧形成有像素电极18及TFT的结构。
如图1所示,在对向基板11a与TFT基板11b之间夹持有液晶层11c。
在图1所示的实施方式中,在液晶显示面板11的正面侧(即对向基板11a侧)设置有偏光板20,但是否设置偏光板20为任意。
如图1所示,在TFT基板11b的背面侧层叠有偏光板21、亮度提高薄片22、含量子点的薄片1、及作为背面部件12的导光板(以下,称为导光板12)。
亮度提高薄片22可以是1片,也可以是多个薄片经层叠而成的结构。例如,亮度提高薄片22能够使用APCF、DBEF(以上,住友3M(股)制造)。
此外,在本实施方式中,能够使用玻璃基板、偏光板21及亮度提高薄片22经一体化的TFT基板11b。
如图1所示,在亮度提高薄片22与导光板12之间介存有含量子点的薄片1。含量子点的薄片1可与亮度提高薄片22及导光板12接着,也可以不接着而将含量子点的薄片1以夹持于亮度提高薄片22与导光板12之间的状态保持。
另外,在本实施方式中,能够将含量子点的薄片1的透过率设为90%以上。此外,能够将BT.2020(色域)的覆盖率设为90%以上,进而优选能够设为95%以上。
如图1所示,对向基板11a与导光板12的各端部较液晶显示面板11的液晶层11c及TFT基板11b进一步向外侧延伸,所延伸的对向基板11a及导光板12的各端部间通过密封部件15而被密封。
密封部件15是环氧等树脂材,并未特别限定材质。通过密封部件15将对向基板11a与导光板12的周围包围,由此,液晶层11c、偏光板21、亮度提高薄片22及含量子点的薄片1通过密封部件15而被密封。
如图1所示,密封部件15沿着TFT基板11b的端面密接,故而液晶层11c被适当地保持于对向基板11a与TFT基板11b之间。
在图1所示的实施方式中,能够通过共享的密封部件15密封液晶层11c及含量子点的薄片1,能够使密封结构简略化。此外,能够在将图1所示的各层层叠并利用密封部件15共通地将各层密封后,向对向基板11a与TFT基板11b之间的空间注入液晶,由此形成液晶层11c。
如图1所示,在导光板12的背面设置有背光单元25,光源26(在图1中以虚线表示)亦可配置于导光板12的侧面。此时,优选在导光板12的背面设置有反射板(未图示)。
在图1所示的导光板12与TFT基板11b之间至少包含含量子点的薄片1,在在导光板12与TFT基板11b之间介存含量子点的薄片1以外的光学部件时,并未特别限定光学部件的种类、薄片数、及层叠顺序等。
但是,图1所示的液晶显示设备10的层叠结构是优选的一例,例如也可以配置光扩散板代替图1所示的亮度提高薄片22。
此外,在图1中,也可以在较密封部件15更靠内侧设置用以将对向基板11a与TFT基板11b之间接着并保持液晶层11c的密封层(未图示)。由此,能够进一步提高密封性。
图2是表示本发明的第2实施方式的液晶显示设备的剖视图。主要对与图1不同的部分进行说明。
在图2中,液晶层11c通过将对向基板11a与TFT基板11b之间接着的密封层13而被密封,与密封层13独立的密封部件15将TFT基板11b与导光板12之间密封。由此,能够通过密封部件15将位于TFT基板11b与导光板12之间的偏光板21、亮度提高薄片22及含量子点的薄片1密封。
另外,也可以使用棱镜薄片、透镜薄片、偏光分离薄片、光扩散片、及电磁遮断薄片等代替导光板12作为背面部件。导光板也可以包含于背光单元25中。
此外,并未特别限定背光单元25的结构,只要为至少包含光源的结构即可。即,背光单元25可为仅指光源的用语,或也可以是具备光源、除此的外的部件例如扩散板、棱镜薄片、导光板、及反射板等的结构。
此外,也可以包含相位差薄片作为光学部件。相位差薄片例如与偏光板(偏光膜)重叠设置。
此外,含量子点的薄片1的位置并无特别限定,例如也可以在偏光板(偏光膜)与基板之间、偏光板(偏光膜)与扩散板之间设置含量子点的薄片1。
另外,在图2中,密封部件15位于较密封层13更靠外侧,但也可以使密封部件15与密封层13的高度位置一致。
另外,在图2中,在密封部件15与含量子点的薄片1之间产生间隙,但能够以不产生间隙的方式使密封部件15密接于含量子点的薄片1的端部。
此外,图1及图2所示的含量子点的薄片1是由一片形成,例如也可以成为特定大小的方式将多片薄片接合。以下,将通过平铺将多片薄片接合而成的结构称为复合薄片。
此处,对配置复合薄片代替图1的液晶显示设备1的含量子点的薄片1,并且将扩散板配置于复合薄片的背面侧(即靠近背光单元25的侧)的结构进行探讨。在该结构中,自背光单元25放射并于扩散板扩散的光入射至复合薄片。由于在扩散板扩散的光入射至复合薄片,因此基于距背光单元25的距离的光的强度分布受到抑制。此外,与不存在扩散板的情形时相比,背光单元25与复合薄片的距离变远,因此背光单元25所发出的热对复合薄片中所包含的量子点的影响减小。
此外,还能够按照背光单元25/复合薄片/扩散板/液晶显示面板11的顺序配置。由此,即便在构成复合薄片的各薄片的接缝产生漫反射或因从接缝进入的水蒸气所导致的量子点的劣化等而引起的发光色的不均时,也能够适当地抑制液晶显示面板11的显示产生色不均。即,由于从复合薄片释放的光在扩散板扩散后入射至液晶显示面板11,因此能够抑制液晶显示面板11的显示中的色不均。
以上,在使用图1、图2所说明的液晶显示设备1中,能够将配置于液晶显示面板11的背面侧的含量子点的薄片1密封。因此,能够抑制含量子点的薄片1中所包含的量子点的经时劣化,从而能够抑制含量子点的薄片1的波长转换特性等光学特性的差异。因此,根据本实施方式的液晶显示设备1,能够获得稳定的光学特性。
尤其是如图1所示,能够通过共享的密封部件15将液晶层11c与含量子点的薄片1密封。由此,能够实现简单的密封结构,此外,还能够使制造过程容易化。
图3是表示本发明的第3实施方式的液晶显示设备的剖视图。主要对与图1不同的部分进行说明。
在图3所示的实施方式中,含量子点的薄片1设置于对向基板(第1基板)11a与TFT基板(第2基板)11b之间,通过密封层(密封部件)13而被密封。在图3中,只要是含量子点的薄片1的位置为设置于对向基板11a与TFT基板11b之间的结构,则并无特别限定。
以上,在使用图3所说明的液晶显示设备1中,也能够抑制含量子点的薄片1中所包含的量子点的经时劣化,从而能够抑制含量子点的薄片1的波长转换特性等光学特性的差异。因此,根据本实施方式的液晶显示设备1,能够获得稳定的光学特性。
此外,在图3中,含量子点的薄片1也可以配置于TFT基板11b上。
此外,在图3中虽未图示,但背光单元配置于TFT基板11b的背面侧。
(含量子点的薄片)
接着,对含量子点的薄片1进行说明。如图4所示,含量子点的薄片1是量子点由树脂分散的薄片状物。
如图8所示,含量子点的薄片1以较薄的板状形成,通常所谓“薄片”,设为其厚度较小为长度及宽度的商的结构。含量子点的薄片1不论有无可挠性,但优选为可挠性。含量子点的薄片1有时简称为薄片,或者有时也被称为膜或膜薄片等。但是,在本说明书中,所谓“膜”,定义为具有可挠性的薄片物。此外,含量子点的薄片1也可以是即便以一定厚度形成,厚度也会视部位而变形,或朝向长度方向或宽度方向缓慢变化或者阶段性地变化的结构。含量子点的薄片1的长度尺寸L、宽度尺寸W、及厚度尺寸T并无限定,根据制品而变更为各种尺寸。例如,存在如电视般用作大型的制品的背光用的情形,也存在如智能型手机般用作小型的便携装置的背光用的情形,因此根据制品决定大小。
在含量子点的薄片1内,在树脂中包含大量量子点,除量子点以外,也可以包含荧光颜料、荧光染料等。例如,也可以是将红色的量子点与绿色的通常的荧光体(YAG(YttriumAluminum Garnet,钇-铝-石榴石)或Sialon(赛隆)等)混合而成的物质。作为使量子点分散的树脂,还能够包含聚丙烯、聚乙烯、聚苯乙烯、AS(Acrylonitrile Styrene,丙烯腈-苯乙烯)树脂、ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene,丙烯腈-丁二烯-苯乙烯)树脂、丙烯酸系树脂、甲基丙烯酸系树脂、聚氯乙烯、聚缩醛、聚酰胺、聚碳酸酯、改性聚苯醚、聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯、聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯、聚砜、聚醚砜、聚苯硫醚、聚酰胺酰亚胺、聚甲基戊烯、液晶聚合物、环氧树脂、酚树脂、尿素树脂、三聚氰胺树脂、环氧树脂、邻苯二甲酸二烯丙酯树脂、不饱和聚酯树脂、聚酰亚胺、聚胺基甲酸酯、聚硅氧树脂、苯乙烯系热塑性弹性体、或它们的若干种的混合物等。
并未限定量子点的结构及材质,例如,本实施方式中的量子点可具有直径为2~数十nm的半导体粒子的芯体。此外,量子点除半导体粒子的芯体以外,还能够具有被覆芯体的周围的外壳部。半导体粒子的芯体的直径可为2~20nm,或者也可为2~15nm。芯体例如使用CdSe,并未特别限定材质。例如可使用CdS、CdSe、ZnS、ZnSe、InP、CdTe、CuInS2、AgInS2、它们的若干种的复合物等。
量子点中例如包含荧光波长约为520nm(绿色)及约为660nm(红色)的量子点。因此,当蓝色的光自光入射面入射时,通过量子点而蓝色的一部分被转换成绿色或红色。由此,能够从光出射面获得白色的光。
图4所示的含量子点的薄片1为单层结构,成形为薄片状而构成。另一方面,例如,如图5所示,含量子点的薄片1也可以是在基材膜2的至少单面形成有量子点层3的薄片状物。
在图5所示的结构中,例如,可于基材膜2的表面涂布并形成量子点层3。并未特别限定基材膜2,但就光透过性、使用性(操作性)、及与量子点层3的密接性的观点而言,优选为PET(聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯)膜。
在本实施方式中,如图6所示,也可以使含量子点的薄片1中含有光散射剂8。光散射剂8并未特别限定材质,可提示SiO2、BN、AlN等微粒子等。作为一例,光散射剂8在含量子点的薄片1中或量子点层3中包含1~10wt%。
此外,在图7所示的另一实施方式中,在含量子点的薄片1中包含增黏剂9。增黏剂9的材质并无特别限定,可例示羧基乙烯基聚合物、羧甲基纤维素、丙烯酸甲酯共聚物、膨润土(铝硅酸盐)或锂膨润石(镁硅酸盐)系添加物等。通过包含增黏剂9,能够将构成含量子点的薄片1及量子点层3的树脂组合物调整为适度的黏度,从而能够容易地将含量子点的薄片1及量子点层3形成为特定厚度及特定形状。
此外,在本实施方式中,为了提高含量子点的薄片1中所包含的量子点的分散性,优选包含分散剂。并未特别限定分散剂的材质,可使用环氧树脂系、聚胺基甲酸酯系、聚羧酸盐系、萘磺酸盐的福尔马林缩合系聚合物系、聚乙二醇系、聚羧酸的部分烷基酯系化合物系、聚醚系、聚伸烷基聚胺、烷基磺酸盐系、四级铵盐系、高级醇环氧烷系、多元醇酯系、烷基聚胺系、或多磷酸盐系的分散剂等,具体而言,可例示BYK-Chemie·Japan公司制造的DISPERBYK(注册商标)。
此外,也可以在含量子点的薄片1的两侧或单侧设置障壁层。
在上述实施方式中,均例示了薄片部件作为含量子点的部件,但并不限定于薄片状。
[产业上的可利用性]
在本发明中,能够有效地抑制光学特性的经时变化,因此在各种环境下使用具有量子点的液晶显示设备,均能够获得稳定的光学特性。
本申请基于在2016年11月16日提出申请的日本专利特愿2016-223206。其内容全部包含于本文中。
Claims (8)
1.一种液晶显示设备,其特征在于,具有:
液晶显示面板,其具有第1基板及第2基板、以及配置于所述第1基板及所述第2基板之间的液晶层;
背面部件,其配置于所述液晶显示面板的所述第2基板侧;
密封部件,其将所述第1基板与所述背面部件之间密封;以及
含量子点的部件,其配置于所述第2基板与所述背面部件之间,
其中,所述含量子点的部件通过所述密封部件而被密封。
2.根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示设备,其特征在于,
所述液晶层与所述含量子点的部件通过共享的所述密封部件而被密封。
3.一种液晶显示设备,其特征在于,具有:
液晶显示面板,其具有第1基板及第2基板、以及配置于所述第1基板及所述第2基板之间的液晶层;
背面部件,其配置于所述液晶显示面板的所述第2基板侧;
密封部件,其将所述第2基板与所述背面部件之间密封;以及
含量子点的部件,其配置于所述第2基板与所述背面部件之间,
其中,所述含量子点的部件通过所述密封部件而被密封。
4.根据权利要求1~3中任一项所述的液晶显示设备,其特征在于,
偏光部件、光扩散部件及亮度提高部件中的至少任一个光学部件与所述含量子点的部件一并密封于所述第2基板与所述背面部件之间。
5.根据权利要求4所述的液晶显示设备,其特征在于,
所述光学部件至少包含所述偏光部件。
6.根据权利要求4或5所述的液晶显示设备,其特征在于,
所述偏光部件具有偏光板及层叠于所述偏光板的表面的亮度提高膜。
7.根据权利要求1~6中任一项所述的液晶显示设备,其特征在于,
所述背面部件是导光板,
在所述第2基板与所述导光板之间包含偏光板、层叠于所述偏光板的表面的亮度提高膜、以及所述含量子点的部件,
所述含量子点的部件、所述偏光板、以及所述亮度提高膜通过所述密封部件而被密封。
8.一种液晶显示设备,其特征在于,具有:
液晶显示面板,其具有第1基板及第2基板、以及配置于所述第1基板及所述第2基板之间的液晶层;
密封部件,其将所述第1基板与所述第2基板之间密封;以及
含量子点的部件,其配置于所述第1基板与所述第2基板之间,
其中,所述含量子点的部件通过所述密封部件而被密封。
