Abstract

本发明是有关于一种检测糖类代谢异常的方法，包括检测检体中GPx2基因表达、GPx2蛋白表达量、或GPx2的蛋白活性，并与一正常个体的GPx2表达量进行比较，其中该个体的GPx2表达量显著低于该正常个体的GPx2表达量代表该个体具有糖类代谢异常的状态。本发明另提供一种GPx2用于制备治疗预防第二型糖尿病的医药组合物的用途。
