The lead-acid accumulator is mainly made of lead and its oxide, and the electrolyte is a kind of sulfuric acid solution. In a discharge state, the main component of the positive electrode is lead dioxide, and the main component of the negative electrode is lead; in the charged state, the main components of the anode and the cathode are lead sulfate. The battery is divided into an exhaust type storage battery and a maintenance-free lead-acid battery. The lead-acid accumulator features its plastic sealing cover with vent hole on its top. These filling caps are used for filling pure water, checking electrolyte and exhausting gas. Along with the upgrade of the manufacturing technology of the storage battery, the lead-acid storage battery is developed into a lead-acid maintenance-free storage battery and a colloid maintenance-free storage battery, and electrolyte or distilled water is not required to be added in the use of the lead-acid storage battery. Oxygen is mainly generated by the positive electrode, so that oxygen circulation can be achieved by absorbing the oxygen at the negative electrode, and moisture reduction can be prevented. The lead acid water battery is mostly applied to the starting of tractors, tricycles and automobiles, etc., and the maintenance-free lead acid battery has wider application range, including uninterrupted power supply, electric vehicle power, electric bicycle battery, etc.
In the production of the lead-acid storage battery, after the pole plate wrapping sheets enter the groove, in order to prevent the sheets from falling and improve the subsequent cast welding quality, the side negative pole lugs of each single cell need to slightly bend towards the center of the single cell.
