Abstract

技术领域

背景技术
自动轮胎充气系统可用于通过向车辆的轮胎添加空气来保持车辆轮胎压力,无需操作人员从车辆外部的空气压力源(例如,维修车间空气供应装置)为轮胎充气。当发生泄漏时,操作人员必须检查车辆的所有轮胎来确定系统中的哪个轮胎需要关注。目前尝试通过听觉指示器和触觉指示器识别泄漏的方法是不准确的且耗时。
因此,需要一种允许操作人员和/或技术人员快速和准确地识别正在泄漏的轮胎的装置。

具体实施方式
如在图1中可以看到的那样,车辆100可以包括具有双轮胎的任何车辆,例如半挂卡车、重型皮卡车、RV、自卸卡车以及7级和8级拖车等等。在图1的实施例中,车辆可以包括卡车102和拖车104。卡车102可以包括作为该卡车的动力系的一部分的一个或多个驱动轴106。卡车102还可以包括转向轴,该转向轴具有可枢转主轴,该主轴可以为车辆100提供转向能力。拖车104可以包括一个或多个固定轴。拖车和卡车的每个轴可以具有安装在每个端部处的单车轮或双车轮108。转向轴可以具有单车轮108。充气轮胎110可以安装至每个车轮108。
如在图2中可以看到的那样,充气系统200可以安装在车轮端处。充气系统200可以包括空气软管202、旋转接头206、软管配件208、轮胎阀杆210和流动指示器212,视情况而定。加压流体可以通过轴204或车轮端外部的空气管线从车辆上的压力源输送到旋转接头。
如在图2中可以看到的那样,视觉流动指示器212可以是视觉辅助设备,其设置成在旋转接头206与充气系统的轮胎阀210之间流体连通。流动指示器212可以与充气系统200的任何其他流体输送部件串联定位。在一些实施例中,流动指示器212可以位于充气系统的旋转中心附近,例如旋转接头附近。这样的位置可起到减少由流动指示器212的增加的质量产生的额外向心力和力矩的作用。在其他实施例中,流动指示器212的位置可以是在旋转接头与轮胎阀之间的任何位置处。在一些实施例中,流动指示器可以是旋转接头壳体的一部分。流动指示器212可以是系统中的单独部件或者是空气软管202的整体部分。流动指示器212可以给出车辆上哪个轮胎110正在泄漏的视觉警报。
如在图3中可以看到的那样,流动指示器304可以位于车轮旋转轴线上的中心点处,例如位于旋转接头处。流动指示器304可以位于每个端口306附近的旋转接头中。当加压流体在旋转接头302中流动并通过端口306经由空气软管流出到对应的轮胎时,视觉指示器可以指示流体流动。对于设置在轮毂盖内或集成到轮毂盖内的旋转接头,可以在轮毂盖上设置或在轮毂盖中内置一个或多个视觉指示器,使得穿过轮毂盖中的流体通道的空气可以激活流动指示器。例如,可以通过旋转接头轮毂盖的观察镜使视觉指示器可见。
如在图4中可以看到的那样,流动指示器212的视觉警报机构可包括涡轮402,该涡轮当暴露于流体流动时致动并且可以通过流动指示器本体406中的观察窗口404观察到。桨叶转子或涡轮402可以在交替的叶片上采用不同的颜色,以便于辨别流动指示。流动指示器212可以与空气软管204共线(inline)定位或者可以是空气软管204的一部分,并且可以设置成邻近软管连接件408。
如在图5中可以看到的那样,用于流动指示器212的其他视觉警报机构可以依赖于在存在流体流动时被搅动的由任何合适材料制成的球丸502,所述材料为例如塑料或低密度金属。这些球丸可以具有在搅动时引起对球丸502的关注的颜色。在单个指示器中,这些球丸502的数量可以从单个球丸502到多个球丸502。也可以使用其他可搅动物体,例如条带、滑动或提升圆柱体或球体、以及五彩碎屑。
如在图6中可以看到的那样,可以提供发光指示器602,当指示器本体中存在流体流动时,所述发光指示器被激活。这些指示器机构也可以组合使用,例如但不限于,连接到发电机的流体流动动力涡轮402,该发电机可以为外部发光指示器602提供电力信号。能量存储装置,例如电池或电容器,可以存储来自发电机的电能,使得在涡轮停止转动之后灯可以保持点亮。指示器可以包括复位按钮,该复位按钮允许操作人员在检查轮胎之后关闭灯。
在其他实施例中,流动开关可以激活发光指示器。流动开关可以是任何合适的类型,例如桨叶式开关、热流量传感器、梭开关或活塞开关、或者压电流量开关。涡轮发电机或太阳能电源、或者电池或其他合适的电源可用于提供电力。使用指示特定流速下的流动的开关可以提供轮胎泄漏严重性的指示。在一些实施例中,可以有状态地(statefully)控制发光指示器,以便指示流体已经流到的轮胎,即使流动已经停止(例如,当轮胎充气系统已经关掉时)。
在其他实施例中,代替发光指示器或者附加地,可以使用电子显示器。可以为操作人员显示各种流动数据,例如流速、流动开始时间、流动停止时间、流动方向和流动日志。用于共线和串联流动指示器212的任何视觉指示方法可以适合于位于中心的流动指示器212,例如可以定位于三通T形件206中。
如在图7中可以看到的那样,流动指示器212可以使用指示正排量、压差、速度、质量或其他适用的测量变量的流量计702。流量计702可以指示充气系统200中的标量空气流量。流量计702可以指示流过模拟或数字性质的测量仪704的流量。该测量仪704可以通过模拟显示器或通过数字性质传送测量数据。具有这种性质的流动指示器212可以允许操作人员测量充气系统可能正试图克服所讨论的轮胎的任何泄漏的大小和性质。

Claims (11)
1.一种轮胎充气系统,包括:
加压流体源;
具有阀杆的充气轮胎,所述阀杆构造成接收加压流体;
旋转空气连接件,所述旋转空气连接件密封地流体连通在所述加压流体源与所述充气轮胎之间;和
视觉流动指示器,所述视觉流动指示器设置在所述旋转空气连接件与所述充气轮胎之间的密封流体连通路径中。
2.根据权利要求1所述的轮胎充气系统,其中,所述旋转空气连接件包括所述视觉流动指示器。
3.根据权利要求1所述的轮胎充气系统,还包括形成所述密封流体连通路径的空气软管,所述空气软管具有与所述旋转空气连接件密封地连接的第一端和与所述阀杆密封地连接的第二端,所述视觉流动指示器设置在所述旋转空气连接件与所述空气软管的第一端之间或者设置在所述阀杆与所述阀杆的第二端之间。
4.根据权利要求1所述的轮胎充气系统,还包括形成所述密封流体连通路径的空气软管,所述空气软管包括所述视觉流动指示器。
5.根据权利要求1所述的轮胎充气系统,其中,所述视觉流动指示器包括视觉可观察的涡轮、能够由涡轮发电机激活的灯、流量计、能够由流动开关激活的灯、联接至流动开关的数字显示器以及多个可搅动珠子中的至少一种。
6.根据权利要求1所述的轮胎充气系统,其中,所述旋转空气连接件包括轮毂盖,所述轮毂盖具有集成式旋转接头。
7.根据权利要求1所述的轮胎充气系统,其中,所述旋转空气连接件包括轮毂盖,所述轮毂盖具有设置在其中的旋转接头。
8.一种空气软管,所述空气软管构造成将加压空气从旋转空气连接件输送到充气轮胎,所述空气软管包括视觉流动指示器。
9.根据权利要求8所述的空气软管,其中,所述视觉流动指示器包括视觉可观察的涡轮、能够由涡轮发电机激活的灯、流量计、能够由流动开关激活的灯、联接至流动开关的数字显示器以及多个可搅动珠子中的至少一种。
10.一种轮毂盖,所述轮毂盖具有空气软管端口和流体通道,所述流体通道构造成将加压空气从旋转连接件输送到所述空气软管端口,所述轮毂盖具有视觉流动指示器,所述视觉流动指示器设置成用以检测所述流体通道中的流体流动。
11.根据权利要求10所述的轮毂盖,其中,所述视觉流动指示器包括视觉可观察的涡轮、能够由涡轮发电机激活的灯、流量计、能够由流动开关激活的灯、联接至流动开关的数字显示器以及多个可搅动珠子中的至少一种。
