Description

Ejection device for a movable furniture part, furniture part and method for opening and closing a movable furniture part
The invention relates to an ejection device for a movable furniture part, comprising a drive element which is pretensioned by at least one spring by means of which the movable furniture part is movable from a closed position into an open position, wherein the at least one spring can be moved into a tensioned position in a closing or opening movement of the furniture part along a path, by means of which the furniture part can be restrained in the closed position, wherein a return stop is provided which delimits the opening or closing movement of the movable furniture part during the closing or opening movement of the furniture part if tensioning of the spring has not yet been completed; also relates to a piece of furniture comprising such an ejection device and to a method for opening and closing a movable furniture part.
DE 202006012976U 1 discloses a lockable ejection device which comprises a securing device which prevents the movable furniture part from being ejected before the accumulator charging process has ended. Such a securing device or return stop can be used, for example, for push-open fittings to prevent ejection of the drawer during closing if the accumulator of the ejector is not fully charged. For the fixing, the wedge element is wedged together with the contact section of the fixing device to prevent the opening movement. However, the friction or clamping force may be insufficient, especially for relatively heavy furniture parts such as heavy-duty drawers.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an ejection device for a movable furniture part and a method for opening and closing a movable furniture part which ensure an improved handling of the movable furniture part during opening and closing.
The object of the invention is achieved by an ejection device having the features of claim 1 and by a method for opening and closing a movable furniture part having the features of claim 12.
According to the invention, the ejection device comprises, on the one hand, a return stop which prevents the ejection or retraction of the movable furniture part when the at least one spring is not yet fully tensioned; also included is an opening buffer (mechanism) that generates a buffer force for decelerating the movable furniture component during ejection of the movable furniture component. The opening buffer ensures that the movable furniture part has a similarly fast speed in the opening direction when it is ejected, essentially independently of the load. If the movable furniture part has only the lowest inherent weight or only a slight load, the at least one spring will accelerate the movable furniture part during ejection with high intensity, so that the opening buffer ensures deceleration. In contrast, heavier furniture parts are only accelerated by the spring with low strength, so that a similarly fast ejection speed can be achieved independently of the load. Furthermore, the at least one spring can serve as an accumulator which can eject the movable furniture part even in the case of heavy weights.
The damping force to open the damping is preferably speed dependent, with higher ejection speeds producing greater damping force than lower ejection speeds. Such opening damping may be achieved, for example, by one or more rotary dampers. Instead of a rotary damper, a linear damper, in particular an air damper, a hydraulic damper or a damper with another damping fluid, can also be used.
According to the invention, the ejection device has a housing with a first toothed rack which can be engaged with a pinion for returning the stop. By fixing the pinion, the movable furniture part can be prevented from ejecting in the event of an interruption of the tensioning process. In addition, a second rack may be provided on the housing, which may cooperate with the pinion for opening the buffer. In which case the pinion may drive the rotary drive.
The return stop preferably comprises a pinion guided on the guide path, by means of which the rotary damper is also drivable. In order to couple the rotary drive to the pinion, a gear which is movable relative to the pinion can preferably be provided for generating the damping force.
The opening buffer is preferably free running in the closing direction. For this purpose, the movable carriage may have elements for activating the opening buffer, which are activated only in the opening direction. The element can be designed, for example, as a limiting element, by means of which the gear wheel is prevented from performing a rotational movement relative to the pinion.
The ejector may preferably be combined with a self-retracting device, as is known in the art. The self-retracting device may be implemented separate from the ejector or may form one unit with the ejector. The spring of the ejector is tensioned during closing or opening of the drawer, after which or during tensioning and locking of the spring the self-retracting device can move the drawer into the closed position. Furthermore, the self-retracting device may optionally also slow down the closing movement of the movable furniture part.
The ejector may preferably have different charging mechanisms for the at least one spring. This means that the at least one spring of the ejector can be charged after opening of the movable furniture part, for example during closing. Alternatively, the ejector device can eject the movable furniture part into the first open position, and the user can then manually move the movable furniture part further in the opening direction into the second open position, for example in the case of a drawer. This opening movement from the first to the second opening position can then be used to tension the at least one spring, so that in this case the return stop can be activated in the opening movement of the movable furniture part.
According to the present invention, there is provided a furniture piece comprising an ejection device, wherein the movable furniture part may optionally form a drawer, a sliding door, a flap or other furniture part.
According to the method of the invention, after unlocking the movable furniture part, it is ejected in the opening direction by at least one ejection device, which comprises a spring, wherein the opening movement is braked by an opening buffer, so that the control of the ejection speed is effected by the opening buffer. The movable furniture part is then moved in the closing or opening direction, wherein the at least one spring is tensioned and limits the ejection of the furniture part by means of the return stop in the event of an interruption of the closing movement, which simplifies the handling, since the closing movement can be resumed again at a later point in time.
The invention will be explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawings.
Figures 1 and 2 show two views of a piece of furniture according to the invention comprising an ejection device, an
Figures 3-6 show a plurality of views of an ejector according to the invention in different positions.
The furniture piece 1 comprises a furniture body 2 into which a movable furniture part 3 in the form of a drawer can be inserted, wherein a front panel 4 is arranged on an open side of the furniture body 2. The drawer is movably supported by two pull-out guides 5, the two pull-out guides 5 being arranged on opposite side walls of the furniture carcass 2. Each drawing guide 5 is arranged in a side panel 8 of the drawer and is fixed by a retaining corner piece 9 and supports the drawer by a movable sliding rail. Furthermore, a folding drive 7 interacting with an ejector 6 for the movable furniture part 3 is fixed to the furniture carcass 2. When the front panel 4 is pressed in the closing direction against the furniture carcass 2, the drawer is ejected in the opening direction by the force of at least one spring and can be unlocked by means of the ejector 6. When the drawer is moved in the closing direction, the at least one spring of the ejector 6 is tensioned again.
In fig. 2, the ejector 6 is mounted on the underside of the bottom of the drawer and interacts with the dog-ear drive 7. It is also possible to have the ejector 6 interact with other movable furniture parts, such as sliding doors, wings or other doors; alternatively, the ejection device 6 is fixed to the furniture carcass 2 or to a stationary part of the drawer guide and the ejection takes place by means of an actuating element arranged on the movable furniture part or on a movable part of the drawer guide.
The ejector 6 is shown in detail in fig. 3, with a return stop and an opening buffer. The ejector 6 comprises a housing 10 on which a first toothed rack 11 for the return stop is formed. Further, the housing 10 is provided with a guide path 12 in which a shaft of the pinion 14 is guided. The guide path 12 comprises an annular segment on which a first guide path 12A for the opening movement and a second guide path 12B for the closing movement are arranged. In this case, the guide path 12B is closer to the first rack 11 than the guide path 12A.
A linearly movable carriage 13 is provided on the housing 10, which has a curved guide 18 in which the shaft of the pinion 14 is inserted. The pinion 14 can thus move along the guide path 12 together with the carriage 13. The carriage 13 is further pretensioned by a spring 15, the first end 16 of the spring 15 being fixed to the carriage 13 and the second end 27 being fixed to the housing 10. The spring 15 here is formed as a traction spring to tension the carriage 13 to the right in fig. 3, wherein the spring 15 can also be formed as a compression spring with a modified arrangement.
Furthermore, drive elements in the form of projections 19 are provided on the carrier 13, which can cooperate with the dog-ear drive 7 to move the carrier 13 relative to the housing 10. A large number of different alternative constructions are known in the art for transmitting forces from the carriage 13 to the movable furniture part 3 and/or vice versa, and can also be used here.
In fig. 3, the ejector 6 is in the open position, in which the pinion 14 is arranged at the end 28 of the guide path 12. If the movable furniture part now moves in the closing direction and encounters the drive element 7, the carriage 13 moves to the left against the force of the spring 15 and the pinion guided in the curved guide 18 encounters the retraction ramp 29 and reaches the guide path 12B adjacent to the toothed rack 11, as shown in fig. 4. During the further closing movement, the spring 15 is tensioned. If this closing process is interrupted, a locking element 17 in the form of a rack or a projection provided on the carriage 13 will engage with the pinion 14. The pinion 14 is held on an L-shaped curved guide 18 on the carriage 13, so that the locking element 17 is movable relative to the pinion 14 adjacent to the rack 11 when the pinion is guided in the guide path 12B and can be fixed to inhibit rotational movement. Ejection of the movable furniture part 3 is prevented when the pinion 14 is fixed along the rack 11 by the locking element 17.
If the tensioning process is resumed again after being interrupted, the carriage 13 is moved further in the closing direction, the locking element 17 thus being lifted off the pinion 14. Thereafter, the pinion 14 may be moved further in the closing direction along the guide path 12B until the pinion is lifted off the rack 11 to be fixed on the catching or holding section 22. The catch hold section 22 is provided with a slider 20 having a catch receiving slot 21 to hold the pinion in the closed position. The slide 20 is here pretensioned by a spring 23 against the retaining section 22 and can fix the pinion 14. Fig. 5 shows the closed position.
To unlock the pinion 14 from the closed position, the movable furniture part is pressed or pushed in, so that the slider 20 is lifted off the holding section 22 against the force of the spring 23. The pinion 14 thus reaches the guide path 12A, which is used for the opening movement. The second rack 25, adjacent to the guide path 12A, drives the pinion 14 in a rotational movement. In order not to move the movable furniture part 3 too quickly in the opening direction by the force of the at least one spring 15, an opening damper is provided, which has a rotary damper, arranged between the pinion 14 and the gear wheel 31. The toothed wheel 31 can be fixed during the opening movement by means of fixing elements, wherein the fixing elements are formed on the rack segments 30 and the rack segments 30 are formed on the carrier 13.
If the pinion 14 moves along the curved guide to the guide path 12A together with the gear 31, the pinion 14 engages with the second rack 25, and the gear 31 engages with the rack segment 30. The rack segment 30 holds the rotationally fixed pinion 31 as the pinion is driven in rotational motion by the rack 25. A relative movement thus occurs between the pinion 14 and the gear 31, which moves the rotary damper arranged on the pinion and generates a damping force. The higher the speed of the pinion 14 relative to the gear 31, the greater the damping force and therefore the higher the ejection speed than the low ejection speed. If the pinion 14 is removed from the guide path 12A, the gear 31 is disengaged from the rack segment 30, and the opening buffer is eliminated. Alternatively, the opening buffer can also be started or terminated when the rack 25 is started or terminated, respectively. The path length for opening the buffer can be set by selecting the length of the rack 25. The pinion is now transferred back to the end segment 28 and the movable furniture part 3 is in the open position and can be moved independently of the ejector 6.
