This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete.
Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention belongs. The terminology used in the description of the invention herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention.
The invention provides a water-based adhesive which is applied to a seal process after printing in the field of packaging, can be sprayed under the condition that the material conveying speed reaches nearly 300 m/min, and can not generate the phenomena of glue flying, glue splashing, nozzle blockage and a large amount of bubbles. The water-based adhesive comprises the following components in parts by weight:
Figure BDA0001618810070000041
the defoaming agent consists of mineral oil defoaming agent and molecular defoaming agent, and the thickening agent consists of high thixotropy thickening agent and Newton fluid thickening agent.
In some embodiments, the acrylate emulsion has a solid content of 45 to 60 wt% and a Tg of-45 ℃ to-50 ℃. When the solid content of the acrylate emulsion is less than 45 wt%, the emulsion is too thin and has poor viscosity, so that the viscosity of a final product is influenced; when the solid content of the acrylate emulsion is more than 60 wt%, the emulsion is too concentrated, and the processing difficulty is large.
In some embodiments, the polyurethane dispersion is selected from one or both of a polyester polyurethane dispersion and a polycarbonate polyurethane dispersion. Preferably, the polyurethane dispersion has a solid content of 40 to 51 wt%. When the solid content of the polyurethane dispersion is less than 40 wt%, the concentration of the whole glue solution is too thin, and the viscosity and other properties are not easy to control; when the solid content of the polyurethane dispersion is more than 51 wt%, the dispersion concentration is too high, and the dispersion effect is not good.
The defoaming agent of the water-based adhesive disclosed by the invention is a combination of a mineral oil defoaming agent and a molecular defoaming agent, so that bubbles of the water-based adhesive can be completely eliminated under the actions of mechanical shearing and gas shearing and extrusion in high-speed adhesive spraying equipment, and the stability of the process and the bonding effect of materials are ensured. Preferably, the mass ratio of the mineral oil defoaming agent to the molecular defoaming agent is 0.2-0.4: 0.1-0.2, the effect is better.
The mineral oil defoaming agent is selected from one or two of Foamaster 8034A and BYK-035. The molecular defoaming agent is one or two selected from defoaming agent AF and SURFYNOL MD-20.
The thickening system selects the high thixotropic thickening agent, can improve the static viscosity of the water-based adhesive so that the adhesive does not slide when the nozzle stops working, and generates shear thinning to ensure smooth glue spraying when the nozzle works, but the high thixotropic thickening agent has the defect that the adhesive is easy to splash. Therefore, the invention also selects the Newtonian fluid thickener, so that the viscosity of the water-based adhesive can be quickly controlled to be thinned in the process of running from the nozzle to the bonding material, namely the viscosity thinning speed of the water-based adhesive is slowed down, the proper viscosity is still kept before the adhesive reaches the material to be bonded, and the splashing phenomenon is avoided. The combination of the high thixotropy thickening agent and the Newtonian fluid thickening agent is selected, so that the problems of glue flying, glue splashing, nozzle blockage and the like of the aqueous adhesive in the glue spraying application process with the material conveying speed close to 300 m/min can be avoided. Wherein the mass ratio of the high-thixotropy thickening agent to the Newtonian fluid thickening agent is 0.4-0.8: 0.2 to 0.5, the effect is better.
The high thixotropy thickening agent is selected from one or two of RHEOLATE 299 and BYK-425. The Newtonian fluid thickener is one or two selected from RHEOLATE 212 and BYK-428.
In one embodiment, the preservative is the dow corporation LX150, usa.
Deionized water is selected as water, so that other impurities are prevented from being brought in, and the reaction effect of a reaction system is prevented from being influenced.
A preparation method of the water-based adhesive comprises the following steps:
and sequentially putting 45.0-50.0 parts by weight of the acrylate emulsion and 45.0-50.0 parts by weight of the polyurethane dispersion into a reaction kettle, and uniformly stirring. Preferably, the stirring speed is 38-42 rpm, and the solution does not splash out of the reaction kettle.
And maintaining stirring, slowly adding 3.0-6.0 parts by weight of plasticizer into the reaction kettle, and stirring uniformly after the plasticizer is added. Preferably, the stirring speed is 56-63 rpm, and the solution can not splash while being uniformly stirred.
And adjusting the stirring speed to 27-33 r/min, slowly adding 0.3-0.6 part by weight of defoaming agent into the reaction kettle, and stirring until no foam is generated. The stirring speed is 27-33 rpm, so that the defoaming agent can be slowly dissolved into the glue solution, and a good defoaming effect is achieved.
And maintaining the stirring speed of 27-33 r/min, slowly adding 0.1-0.4 part by weight of the preservative into the reaction kettle, and slowly dissolving the preservative into the glue solution for uniform dispersion.
Slowly adding 0.6-1.3 parts by weight of thickening agent into the reaction kettle, uniformly stirring, wherein the stirring speed is selected to be 47-55 rpm, the viscosity of the glue solution is gradually increased along with the addition of the thickening agent, and the stirring speed is selected to be 47-55 rpm, so that the glue solution is driven to mix with the viscous glue solution by stronger impulse force, and the viscosity of the glue solution is uniform.
Taking a sample of the glue solution, detecting the viscosity, solid content and pH value of the sample, adding a proper amount of water into the glue solution according to the detected parameters, and stirring until all the parameters of the glue solution meet preset requirements, wherein the stirring speed is 25-33 rpm, and the water is easy to splash out due to light weight and is mixed at the stirring speed, so that the water and the glue solution are slowly mixed without splashing. Filtering the glue solution by a 200-mesh screen and discharging to obtain the water-based adhesive.
The technical parameters of the glue solution are as follows: solid content: 50 + -1 wt% (105 deg.C/3 hr); viscosity: 12000 + -2000 mPas (NDJ-8s type viscometer, 4#/30RPM, 25 ℃); pH value: 7-8; VOC (volatile organic compounds) content: less than 20 g/L.
The main adhesive component of the water-based adhesive is composed of low-Tg acrylate emulsion and high-crystallinity polyurethane dispersoid, the low-Tg acrylate emulsion can provide very strong initial adhesion and low-temperature resistance, the high-crystallinity polyurethane dispersoid can provide higher adhesion strength and high-temperature resistance, the initial adhesion and the permanent adhesion of a UV surface, a BOPP (biaxially-oriented polypropylene) gluing surface, a water-based gloss oil surface, a gold and silver paper sheet, a laser surface, a PE (polyethylene) spraying surface and other materials and the sealing of a paperboard can be ensured, the requirement of the paper breaking rate of more than 90 percent can be met after 24 hours of bonding and 24 hours of low-temperature (-20 ℃) and high-temperature (75 ℃) storage, and the requirement of the sealed product packaging box for export transportation or severe application environment conditions can be met. The emission of volatile organic compounds of the water-based adhesive is low (less than 20g/L), the water-based adhesive meets the national environmental protection requirement, and the water-based adhesive has little harm to the health of workers and the environment in the using process.

The technical parameters of the water-based adhesive of the embodiment are as follows: solid content: 52 wt% (105 ℃/3 hours); viscosity: 12071 mPa.s (NDJ-8s type viscometer, 4#/30RPM, 25 ℃); pH value: 7.3; VOC content: 11.5 g/L.
Comparative example 1
This comparative example was the same as example 1 except for the thickener, and the other components and preparation method were the same. The thickener of this comparative example was prepared by replacing 0.8 kg of a mixture of the high thixotropic thickener rheloate 299 and 0.2 kg of the newtonian fluid thickener rheloate 212 with 1.0 kg of the high thixotropic thickener rheloate 299.
The technical parameters of the aqueous adhesive of comparative example 1 are as follows: solid content: 50.2 wt% (105 ℃/3 hours); viscosity: 12835 mPa.s (model NDJ-8s viscometer, 4#/30RPM, 25 ℃); pH value: 7.4 of the total weight of the mixture; VOC content: 10.9 g/L.
From the comparison of the technical parameters of the aqueous adhesives of example 1 and comparative example 1, the viscosity of comparative example 1 is reduced compared with the viscosity of example 1, and other technical parameters are similar.
The aqueous adhesives of example 1 and comparative example 1 were taken and tested for shear rheology using an AR1500ex dynamic shear rheometer, as shown in fig. 1. As can be seen from fig. 1, the shear rate of the aqueous adhesive of example 1 was high, that is, the viscosity of the adhesive liquid was reduced at the time of spraying, and the adhesive liquid was not easily splashed at the time of spraying at a high speed. The thickening system of the water-based adhesive adopts the combination of the high-thixotropy thickening agent and the Newtonian fluid thickening agent, and compared with the thickening system using the high-thixotropy thickening agent alone, the shear rate of the obtained water-based adhesive is more suitable for being applied to a high-speed adhesive spraying process, and the water-based adhesive is not easy to splash during high-speed adhesive spraying.
FIG. 2 is a graph showing that in example 3 of the present invention, after being applied to a PE film coated surface by a 300 m/min high speed spray adhesive and bonded to a seal of a paperboard, a toothpaste box is cut into 3.5cm wide after 24 hours, and after being stored for 24 hours at high and low temperatures (A is a high temperature of 75 ℃ and B is a low temperature of-20 ℃), the paper breaking rate of the paperboard is more than 90% by a manual tearing test, that is, the breaking area of the paperboard is more than 90% when the paperboard is torn off. The PE film surface is tightly attached to the seal of the paperboard, after 24 hours of attachment, the water-based adhesive meets the requirement that the paper breaking rate reaches over 90 percent after the PE film surface and the paperboard are stored at low temperature (-20 ℃) and high temperature (75 ℃) for 24 hours, and the sealed product packaging box can withstand the requirements of export transportation or severe application environment conditions.
The VOC content of the water-based adhesives of the embodiments 1 to 5 is lower than 12g/L, which meets the requirement of environmental protection and has little harm to the health of workers and the environment.
The technical features of the embodiments described above may be arbitrarily combined, and for the sake of brevity, all possible combinations of the technical features in the embodiments described above are not described, but should be considered as being within the scope of the present specification as long as there is no contradiction between the combinations of the technical features.
