技术领域
本发明涉及抑制了着色的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料和该乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的制造方法。
背景技术
乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(以下有时称为“EVOH树脂”。)是容易排列的结构且存在于高分子侧链的羟基彼此的氢键,因而具有非常强的分子间力,因此结晶性高,而且在非晶部分分子间力也较高,因而氧等的气体分子不易通过EVOH树脂,使用了EVOH树脂的薄膜等显示出优异的阻气性。
EVOH树脂利用其优异的阻气性而成型为食品包装材料、医药品包装材料、工业药品包装材料、农药包装材料等薄膜、片或者瓶等的容器等来使用。
EVOH树脂虽然显示出如上述那样优异的阻气性,但其怕水,被水湿润或放置在湿度高的状况下时其阻气性降低。因此,在用于蒸煮用的包装材料等时,通常在中间层配置EVOH树脂层并用聚烯烃树脂层等夹持而制成多层结构。此外,对于EVOH树脂层也进行了向EVOH树脂中混合尼龙等聚酰胺系树脂,提高相对于水的耐久性。
然而,由于向EVOH树脂中混合聚酰胺系树脂而使热稳定性降低,因此有时在熔融混炼时,熔融成型时容易形成热劣化物、交联物;或成型物变色;或产生鱼眼(树脂的微粒)。
作为改善加热熔融时的热稳定性的技术,例如,专利文献1中提出了:由乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物皂化物(A)、利用末端调整剂调整了末端COOH基的数量(x)与末端CONRR′基(其中,R为碳数1~22的烃基、R′为H或碳数1~22的烃基)的数量(y)的比例的末端调整聚酰胺系树脂(B)、受阻酚系化合物(C)、和脂肪族羧酸碱土金属盐(D)构成的树脂组合物。专利文献1中记载了:通过向EVOH树脂与聚酰胺系树脂的混合物中加入脂肪族羧酸碱土金属盐而使热稳定性提高,抑制凝胶的发生,能够长期成型。
另一方面,作为减少热熔融时的EVOH树脂组合物着色的方法,通常通过调整使用挤出机使其熔融来制造粒料时的制造条件而进行。例如,专利文献2中记载了:在对混合了EVOH树脂和聚烯烃系树脂的树脂组合物或者对混合了EVOH树脂和聚酰胺系树脂的树脂组合物进行加热熔融时,将挤出机的螺杆长度L(mm)与螺杆外径D(mm)的比(L/D)、熔融挤出时的比能、每一模具喷嘴的喷出量、加工温度设定为特定范围。专利文献2中记载了:通过将加热熔融时的挤出条件设为特定范围,从而可以得到无凝胶产生、无着色的粒料。

发明内容
发明要解决的问题
然而,专利文献1中记载的树脂组合物有在通过挤出机进行加热熔融时发生着色的倾向,得到的成型物存在难以适用于要求透明性的用途的问题。另外,利用专利文献2中记载的技术也无法得到充分的着色抑制效果,要求进一步的改良。
因此,本申请的目的在于提供减少了着色的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料。
用于解决问题的方案
本发明人鉴于上述情况而进行了深入研究,结果知晓:对于含有EVOH树脂、聚酰胺系树脂和碱土金属盐的树脂组合物,与进行其熔融混炼时相比,从挤出机挤出后更会发生着色。在从挤出机挤出后树脂粒料也持续高温状态。本发明人着眼于含有EVOH树脂、聚酰胺系树脂和碱土金属盐的树脂粒料为高温时容易着色这一事实,发现通过将刚从挤出机的模嘴(喷出口的模具)喷出后的树脂温度控制得较低,从而可以得到着色少的树脂粒料,以至完成了本发明。
即,本发明为以下(1)~(6)的构成。
(1)一种乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料,其含有乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)、聚酰胺系树脂(B)和碱土金属盐(C),对所述粒料通过分光色差计并利用透过法测定的黄色指数(YI)值为10以下。
(2)根据前述(1)所述的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料,其中,所述乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与所述聚酰胺系树脂(B)的质量比((A)/(B))为60/40~98/2。
(3)根据前述(1)或(2)所述的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料,其中所述碱土金属盐(C)的含有比例相对于所述乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与所述聚酰胺系树脂(B)的总计,以金属换算为10~200ppm。
(4)根据前述(1)~(3)中任一项所述的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料,其还包含抗氧化剂。
(5)一种乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物成型体,其是使所述(1)~(4)中任一项所述的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料熔融成型而得到的。
(6)一种乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的制造方法,其为通过分光色差计并利用透过法测定时的黄色指数(YI)值为10以下的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的制造方法,所述方法包括:使用熔融混炼装置对含有乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)、聚酰胺系树脂(B)和碱土金属盐(C)的树脂组合物进行熔融混炼的工序,将刚从所述熔融混炼装置喷出后的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物线料的温度设为268℃以下。
发明的效果
根据本发明,能够提供黄色指数(YI)值为10以下这样减少了着色的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料,因此能够适宜地用于要求透明性的成型物。

需要说明的是,本说明书中,由质量表示的全部百分率、份与由重量表示的百分率、份相同。
本发明的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的特征在于,其含有乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)、聚酰胺系树脂(B)和碱土金属盐(C),对所述粒料通过分光色差计并利用透过法测定的黄色指数(YI)值为10以下。
以下对各成分进行说明。
<乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)>
本发明中使用的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(EVOH树脂)是公知的树脂,是非水溶性的热塑性树脂。EVOH树脂通常通过使乙烯酯系单体与乙烯共聚而得到乙烯-乙烯酯系共聚物,对其进行皂化而得到。即,是以乙烯结构单元和乙烯醇结构单元为主、包含在皂化工序后残留的少量乙烯酯结构单元的物质。进行上述共聚时,可以采用溶液聚合法等公知的聚合法。
作为上述乙烯酯系单体,例如可列举出:乙酸乙烯酯、甲酸乙烯酯、丙酸乙烯酯、戊酸乙烯酯、丁酸乙烯酯、异丁酸乙烯酯、特戊酸乙烯酯、辛酸乙烯酯、月桂酸乙烯酯、硬脂酸乙烯酯、叔碳酸乙烯酯等脂肪族乙烯酯;苯甲酸乙烯酯等芳香族乙烯酯等,通常为碳数3~20、优选为碳数4~10、特别优选为碳数4~7的脂肪族乙烯酯。其中,从经济性观点出发优选使用乙酸乙烯酯。它们通常单独使用,但根据需要还可以同时使用多种。
EVOH树脂的乙烯含量是在进行乙烯与乙烯酯系单体的聚合时所确定的,在皂化前后不发生变化。基于ISO14663测定的乙烯结构单元的含有率通常为20~60摩尔%、优选为25~50摩尔%、特别优选为25~45摩尔%。乙烯含量过低时有耐冲击性、加工性降低的倾向;过高时有阻气性、耐溶剂性降低的倾向。
EVOH树脂的皂化度利用滴定法(JIS K6726)(其中,将EVOH树脂均匀地溶解于水/甲醇溶剂中而成的溶液)测定的值通常为90~100摩尔%、优选为95~100摩尔%、特别优选为98~100%。皂化度过低时有阻气性降低的倾向。
EVOH树脂的熔体流动速率(以下有时称为MFR)是在210℃、载荷2160g下测定的值,通常为0.1~100g/10分钟、优选为1~50g/10分钟、更优选为2~40g/10分钟。上述值过高或过低时有加工性降低的倾向。
对于EVOH的熔点,利用差示扫描热量计(DSC)在升降温速度10℃/分钟下测定的值通常为100~220℃、优选为120~210℃、更优选为140~200℃。
需要说明的是,本发明中除了乙烯和乙烯酯以外,在不阻碍对于EVOH树脂所要求的特性的范围(例如,低于10摩尔%)内还可以共聚能共聚的烯属不饱和单体,作为上述单体,可列举出下述物质。例如可列举出:丙烯、1-丁烯、异丁烯等烯烃类;2-丙烯-1-醇、3-丁烯-1-醇、4-戊烯-1-醇、5-己烯-1-醇、3,4-二羟基-1-丁烯、5-己烯-1,2-二醇等含羟基α-烯烃类;其酰化产物、酯化物,作为酯化物,可列举出:3,4-二酰氧基-1-丁烯、特别是3,4-二乙酰氧基-1-丁烯等。另外,可列举出:2-亚甲基丙烷-1,3-二醇、3-亚甲基戊烷-1,5-二醇等羟基烷基乙烯叉类;1,3-二乙酰氧基-2-亚甲基丙烷、1,3-二丙酰氧基-2-亚甲基丙烷、1,3-二丁酰氧基-2-亚甲基丙烷等羟基烷基亚乙烯基二乙酸酯类。另外,可列举出:丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、巴豆酸、邻苯二甲酸酐、马来酸酐、衣康酸酐等不饱和酸类或其盐、以及碳数1~18的单烷基酯或二烷基酯类。另外,可列举出:丙烯酰胺、碳数1~18的N-烷基丙烯酰胺、N,N-二甲基丙烯酰胺、2-丙烯酰胺丙磺酸或其盐、以及丙烯酰胺丙基二甲基胺或其酸盐或其季铵盐等丙烯酰胺类;甲基丙烯酰胺、碳数1~18的N-烷基甲基丙烯酰胺、N,N-二甲基甲基丙烯酰胺、2-甲基丙烯酰胺丙磺酸或其盐、甲基丙烯酰胺丙基二甲基胺或其酸盐及其季铵盐等甲基丙烯酰胺类。另外,可列举出:N-乙烯基吡咯烷酮、N-乙烯基甲酰胺、N-乙烯基乙酰胺等N-乙烯基酰胺类;丙烯腈、甲基丙烯腈等乙烯基氰类;碳数1~18的烷基乙烯基醚、羟基烷基乙烯基醚、烷氧基烷基乙烯基醚等乙烯基醚类;氯乙烯、偏氯乙烯、氟乙烯、偏氟乙烯、溴乙烯等卤化乙烯类;三甲氧基乙烯基硅烷等乙烯基硅烷类;以及乙酸烯丙酯、烯丙基氯、三甲基-(3-丙烯酰胺-3-二甲基丙基)-氯化铵、丙烯酰胺-2-甲基丙磺酸、乙烯基乙烯碳酸酯、甘油单烯丙基醚等。另外,还可以经聚氨酯化、缩醛化、氰乙基化、氧亚烷基化等“后改性”。
特别是可优选使用:在需要拉伸加工、真空/压空成型等二次成型性的用途中共聚了含羟基α-烯烃类的EVOH、特别是在侧链具有1,2-二醇的EVOH。
本发明中使用的EVOH树脂中根据目的还可以包含其它热塑性树脂。包含其它热塑性树脂时,其它热塑性树脂的含量相对于树脂组合物整体通常低于30质量%。
另外,在不阻碍本发明的效果的范围内,根据目的还可以包含其它配混剂成分。这些配混剂的添加量相对于树脂组合物,通常低于5质量%。作为其它配混成分,例如可列举出:滑石、碳酸钙、云母、玻璃纤维等填料;石蜡油等增塑剂;抗氧化剂、热稳定剂、光稳定剂、紫外线吸收剂、吸氧剂、中和剂、润滑剂、防雾剂、防粘连剂、增滑剂、交联剂、交联助剂、着色剂、阻燃剂、分散剂、表面活性剂、干燥剂、抗静电剂、防菌剂、固化剂、发泡剂、结晶成核剂、生物降解用添加剂、荧光增白剂、硅烷偶联剂等,可以含有1种或2种以上任意的配混剂。
上述能含有的树脂和配混剂是指向树脂成分中均匀添加(为粒料内部均匀添加)的意思。
作为上述热稳定剂,出于提高熔融成型时的热稳定性等各种物性的目的,还可以添加乙酸、丙酸、丁酸、月桂酸、硬脂酸、油酸、山萮酸等有机酸类或它们的碱金属盐(钠、钾等)等碱土金属盐以外的盐;或硫酸、亚硫酸、碳酸、磷酸、硼酸等无机酸类、或它们的碱金属盐(钠、钾等)、锌盐等碱土金属盐以外的盐等添加剂。其中,特别优选添加包含乙酸、硼酸及其盐的硼化合物、乙酸盐、磷酸盐。
添加乙酸时,其添加量相对于EVOH树脂100质量份,通常为0.001~1质量份、优选为0.005~0.2质量份、特别优选为0.01~0.1质量份。乙酸的添加量过少时,有无法充分地得到含有乙酸的效果的倾向,相反过多时有难以得到均匀的薄膜的倾向。
另外,添加硼化合物时,其添加量相对于EVOH树脂100质量份,以硼换算(灰化后,利用ICP发光分析法分析)计通常为0.001~1质量份、优选为0.002~0.2质量份、特别优选为0.005~0.1质量份。硼化合物的添加量过少时,有时无法充分地得到硼化合物的添加效果,相反过多时有难以得到均匀的薄膜的倾向。
另外,作为乙酸盐、磷酸盐(包含磷酸氢盐)的添加量,相对于EVOH树脂(A)100质量份,以金属换算(灰化后,利用ICP发光分析法分析)计通常为0.0005~0.1质量份、优选为0.001~0.05质量份、特别优选为0.002~0.03质量份。上述添加量过少时有时无法充分地得到其含有效果,相反过多时有难以得到均匀的薄膜的倾向。需要说明的是,向EVOH树脂中添加2种以上盐时,其总量优选在上述添加量的范围内。
对于向EVOH树脂中添加乙酸、硼化合物、乙酸盐、磷酸盐的方法,没有特别限定,可以列举出如下方法:i)将含水率20~80质量%的EVOH树脂的多孔性析出物与添加物的水溶液接触,使其含有添加物后进行干燥的方法;ii)使EVOH树脂的均匀溶液(水/醇溶液等)中含有添加物后,在凝固液中挤出成线料状,接着切断得到的线料并制成粒料,进而进行干燥处理的方法;iii)一次性混合EVOH树脂和添加物后利用挤出机等进行熔融混炼的方法;iv)在制造EVOH树脂时,用乙酸等有机酸类中和在皂化工序中使用的碱(氢氧化钠、氢氧化钾等),通过水洗处理对残留的乙酸等有机酸类、副产的盐的量进行调节的方法等。
为了更显著地得到本发明的效果,优选组合使用添加物的分散性优异的i)、ii)的方法、含有有机酸及其盐时为iv)的方法。
上述EVOH树脂通常以粒料形状进行市场流通,供于各种熔融成型。上述粒料的形状例如为球形、圆柱形、立方体形、长方体形等,但通常为球状(橄榄球状)或圆柱形,从接下来用作成型材料时的利便性的观点出发,粒料大小在球状的情况直径通常为1~6mm、优选为2~5mm、高度通常为1~6mm、优选为2~5mm;在圆柱状的情况底面的直径通常为1~6mm、优选为2~5mm、长度通常为1~6mm、优选为2~5mm。
<聚酰胺系树脂(B)>
本发明中使用的聚酰胺系树脂(B)是公知的树脂,且是非水溶性的热塑性树脂。
作为聚酰胺系树脂,例如可列举出:聚己内酰胺(尼龙6)、聚-ω-氨基庚酸(尼龙7)、聚-ω-氨基壬酸(尼龙9)、聚十一酰胺(尼龙11)、聚十二内酰胺(尼龙12)等脂肪族聚酰胺系树脂。另外作为共聚聚酰胺系树脂,可列举出:聚乙二胺己二酰二胺(尼龙26)、聚四亚甲基己二酰二胺(尼龙46)、聚六亚甲基己二酰二胺(尼龙66)、聚六亚甲基癸二酰胺(尼龙610)、聚六亚甲基十二酰胺(尼龙612)、聚八亚甲基己二酰二胺(尼龙86)、聚十亚甲基己二酰二胺(尼龙108)、己内酰胺/十二内酰胺共聚物(尼龙6/12)、己内酰胺/ω-氨基壬酸共聚物(尼龙6/9)、己内酰胺/六亚甲基二铵己二酸酯共聚物(尼龙6/66)、十二内酰胺/六亚甲基二铵己二酸酯共聚物(尼龙12/66)、乙二胺己二酰二胺/六亚甲基二铵己二酸酯共聚物(尼龙26/66)、己内酰胺/六亚甲基二铵己二酸酯/六亚甲基二铵癸二酸酯共聚物(尼龙66/610)、乙烯铵己二酸酯/六亚甲基二铵己二酸酯/六亚甲基二铵癸二酸酯共聚物(尼龙6/66/610)等脂肪族共聚聚酰胺、聚六亚甲基异酞酰胺、聚六亚甲基对苯二甲酰胺、聚己二酰间苯二甲胺、六亚甲基异酞酰胺/对苯二甲酰胺共聚物、聚对苯撑对苯二甲酰胺、聚对苯撑-3,4’-二苯基醚对苯二甲酰胺等芳香族共聚聚酰胺;非晶性聚酰胺、通过将上述聚酰胺系树脂用亚甲基苄基胺、间苯二甲胺等的羧基、氨基对末端进行了改性的末端改性聚酰胺等。
这些聚酰胺系树脂可以单独使用或组合使用2种以上。其中从制成EVOH树脂组合物,将其作为多层薄膜的中间层使用时的耐蒸煮性的观点出发,优选使用尼龙6。
作为聚酰胺系树脂(B)优选:熔点通常为150~270℃、优选为180~250℃、更优选为200~230℃。另外,熔体流动率(MFR)在230℃、载荷2160g下通常为0.1~100g/10分钟、优选为1~50g/10分钟、更优选为3~20g/10分钟。
<碱土金属盐(C)>
作为本发明中使用的碱土金属盐(C),例如可列举出:碱土金属的乙酸盐;丙酸、丁酸、月桂酸、硬脂酸、油酸、山萮酸等脂肪族羧酸盐;柠檬酸盐等有机酸盐;碱土金属的硼酸盐、碱土金属的碳酸盐、碱土金属的碳酸氢盐、碱土金属的磷酸盐等无机酸盐等。
作为碱土金属的乙酸盐,例如可列举出:乙酸镁、乙酸钙、乙酸钡等。
作为碱土金属的碳酸盐,例如可列举出:碳酸钙、碳酸镁、碳酸钡等。
作为碱土金属的碳酸氢盐,例如可列举出:碳酸氢钙、碳酸氢镁、碳酸氢钡等。
作为碱土金属的磷酸盐,例如可列举出:磷酸二氢钙、磷酸一氢镁、磷酸氢钡等。
这些碱土金属盐可以单独使用或组合含有2种以上。
其中,从EVOH树脂的生产率的观点出发,优选为水溶性盐。进而,从对EVOH树脂组合物进行熔融成型时的成型性的观点出发,作为碱土金属盐,优选使用有机酸盐、进一步优选使用碳数1~6的脂肪族羧酸盐、特别优选使用乙酸镁。
本发明中,乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与聚酰胺系树脂(B)的质量比((A)/(B))优选为60/40~98/2。通过将乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与聚酰胺系树脂(B)的质量比设为所述范围,从而能够得到耐蒸煮性优异的EVOH树脂组合物。乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与聚酰胺系树脂(B)的质量比更优选为70/30~95/5、进一步优选80/20~90/10。
另外,碱土金属盐(C)的含有比例相对于乙烯-乙烯酯系共聚物(A)与聚酰胺系树脂(B)的总计,以金属换算计优选为10~200ppm、更优选10~100ppm、进一步优选10~50ppm。碱土金属盐(C)的含有比例过多时,有在粒料中产生凝胶、发泡、着色或成型性变得不稳定的倾向;过少时,有熔融粘度容易上升的倾向。
本发明的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料中优选配混抗氧化剂。通过含有抗氧化剂,从而能够提高成型加工时的热稳定性。
作为抗氧化剂,可列举出:酚系抗氧化剂、胺系抗氧化剂、氨基醚系抗氧化剂、磷系抗氧化剂、硫系抗氧化剂等。

作为硫系抗氧化剂,例如可列举出:硫代二丙酸二月桂基酯、硫代二丙酸二(十三烷基)酯、硫代二丙酸二硬脂基酯、季戊四醇四(3-十二烷基硫代丙酸酯)、4,4-硫代双(2-叔丁基-5-甲基苯酚)双-3-(十二烷基硫代)丙酸酯、二肉豆蔻基-3,3′-硫代二丙酸酯、月桂基-硬脂基-3,3′-硫代二丙酸酯、新戊烷四基四(3-月桂基硫代丙酸酯)等。
这些抗氧化剂可以单独使用1种或组合使用2种以上。其中,从成型加工时的热稳定性的观点出发,优选使用酚系抗氧化剂、更优选使用受阻酚系抗氧化剂。
抗氧化剂的含量相对于EVOH系树脂(A)与聚酰胺系树脂(B)的总计100质量份,优选0.1~200ppm、更优选1~100ppm、进一步优选1~50ppm。抗氧化剂的含量为所述范围时,成型加工时的热稳定性良好。
在不损害本发明的效果的范围内,本发明的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料中可以配混其它添加物。
作为其它添加物,例如可列举出:增塑剂、稳定剂、填料、着色剂、润滑剂、防粘连剂、抗静电剂等。
本发明中,乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的特征在于,使用分光色差计并利用透过法测定的黄色指数(YI)值为10以下。
由于黄色指数(YI)值为10以下,因而能够确保树脂粒料的透明性。黄色指数(YI)值更优选为8以下。
上述测定通过如下方式进行:例如将粒料填充至直径35mm×高度30mm的圆柱型玻璃制小盒中而制成测定用样品,依据JISZ-8722、使用分光色差计并利用透过法测定上述样品。
<乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的制造方法>
本发明的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的制造方法没有特别限定。
作为配混上述(A)~(C)成分的方法,可列举出如下方法:(1)向预先配混了乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与碱土金属盐(C)的组合物中配混聚酰胺系树脂(B)的方法;(2)向预先配混了聚酰胺系树脂(B)与碱土金属盐(C)的组合物中配混乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)的方法;(3)一次性配混乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)、聚酰胺系树脂(B)和碱土金属盐(C)的方法等。从EVOH树脂的物性改善效果和生产率方面考虑,优选(1)的方法。
需要说明的是,上述(1)的方法可列举出如下方法:i)使含水率20~80质量%的EVOH树脂的多孔性析出物与碱土金属盐(C)的水溶液接触后进行干燥的方法;ii)使EVOH树脂的均匀溶液(水/醇溶液等)含有碱土金属盐(C)后,在凝固液中挤出成线料状,接着切断得到的线料制成粒料并进行干燥的方法;iii)一次性混合EVOH树脂和碱土金属盐(C)后利用挤出机等进行熔融混炼的方法。从EVOH树脂的物性改善效果和生产率方面考虑,优选为i)的方法。
本发明的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料可以通过如下方式进行调节:如上述那样混合乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)、聚酰胺系树脂(B)和碱土金属盐(C),使用熔融混炼装置对得到的组合物进行熔融混炼,将刚从熔融混炼装置喷出后的树脂温度设为低于现有温度的方式。
本发明人着眼于:在对含有EVOH树脂、聚酰胺系树脂和碱土金属盐的树脂组合物进行熔融混炼时,在高温状态下与空气接触而使着色进行。可推测其原因在于,在EVOH树脂与聚酰胺系树脂的树脂组合物中,为了改善各种物性而需要配混碱土金属盐,但上述碱土金属盐成为催化剂而容易使树脂组合物的劣化加剧。因此,本发明人着眼于刚从挤出机喷出后的温度,发现通过将上述温度调整为低于现有温度,从而能够抑制EVOH树脂与聚酰胺系树脂的树脂组合物劣化的加剧,可以得到着色少的树脂粒料,以至完成了本发明。
作为熔融混炼装置,可列举出:混炼机、挤出机、混炼辊、班伯里密炼机、捏合挤出机、研磨混合器等,特别优选使用能连续地进行处理且混合效率优异的挤出机的方法。
作为挤出机,可以使用单螺杆挤出机、双螺杆挤出机中的任一种,其中,双螺杆挤出机、尤其是螺杆旋转方向相同的双轴挤出机从通过适度的剪切而可以得到充分的混炼这一点出发而优选。
挤出机的螺杆有效长度(L/D)通常为10~100、优选为15~70、更优选为40~60。L/D过小时,有时熔融混炼不充分,均匀分散性不充分。另一方面,L/D过大时,由于过度的剪切、过度的滞留而有引起由剪切发热导致的分解的倾向。挤出机的螺杆的捏合区域的L/D的捏合区域具有多个时,以其总和计通常为3~15、优选为5~10、特别优选为5~8。捏合区域的L/D为上述范围时,有容易调节为后述期望的温度的倾向。
螺杆转速通常为100~1000rpm、优选为300~800rpm、更优选为400~600rpm。螺杆转速过小时,有喷出变得不稳定的倾向,过大时,有时无法使刚从挤出机喷出后的树脂温度调整为268℃以下,粒料发生着色。
模嘴(喷出口的模具)的形状通常为圆形。其直径大小通常为1~10mm、优选为3~5mm、特别优选为3.5~4.5mm。上述直径过大时,有由于线料不稳定而使生产率降低的倾向;过小时,有难以调整为后述期望的温度的倾向。
在挤出机内进行熔融时的组合物的温度通常为150~300℃、优选为180~290℃、更优选为200~280℃。组合物的温度过低时,有时熔融混炼变得不充分而无法得到均匀的树脂粒料。另一方面,组合物温度过高时,有时无法将刚从挤出机喷出后的树脂温度调整得较低,粒料发生着色。
需要说明的是,组合物的温度的调整通常可以通过适宜设定挤出机内的料筒的温度和螺杆转速来进行。
刚从挤出机等熔融混炼装置喷出后的树脂粒料(线料状的混炼物)的温度是低于现有温度的温度。作为上述温度,通常为聚酰胺系树脂(B)的熔点+5~48℃、优选为聚酰胺系树脂(B)的熔点+10~40℃、特别优选为聚酰胺系树脂(B)的熔点+20~30℃。上述熔点例如可以通过利用差示扫描热量分析计(DSC)测定聚酰胺系树脂而得到。
另外,刚从挤出机等熔融混炼装置喷出后的树脂粒料(线料状的混炼物)的温度通常为268℃以下、优选为230~266℃、更优选为240~266℃。通过将刚喷出后的粒料(线料)的温度调整在上述范围内,从而能够得到减少了着色发生的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料。
作为将刚喷出后的树脂温度调整为上述范围的方法,没有特别限定,使用熔融混炼装置作为挤出机的情况,可列举出如下方法:调整挤出机的料筒温度的方法;降低挤出机的模嘴(喷出口的模具)附近的温度的方法;对刚从挤出机的模嘴喷出后的粒料吹冷风的方法;对刚从挤出机的模嘴喷出后的线料进行水冷的方法;使用挤出机的螺杆中的捏合区域数量少的螺杆的方法;使用挤出机的螺杆中的捏合区域的L/D小的螺杆的方法、增大挤出机的模嘴(喷出口的模具)直径的方法等,通过调节这些要素而综合地调整刚喷出后的树脂温度。
这样得到的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料通过分光色差计并利用透过法测定时的黄色指数(YI)值为10以下、能够得到减少了着色的成型体。
需要说明的是,本发明中,熔融挤出时的比能(kWh/kg)优选为0.1~0.5的范围。比能低于0.1时,有时无法充分地进行熔融混炼,相反超过0.5时,有时使树脂组合物热劣化而引起着色、或由得到的粒料导致的成型物多发鱼眼的情况。需要说明的是,上述值可以通过将挤出机的螺杆马达的电功率除以从挤出机的喷出量而求出。
本发明的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料可以通过熔融成型而制成例如膜、片等薄膜;袋、杯、托盘、导管、瓶、罐等的中空容器;盖材等各种成型物。
作为上述熔融成型方法,例如可列举出:T-模具挤出、吹胀挤出、吹塑成型、熔融纺丝、异型挤出等挤出成型法、注射成型法等。上述熔融成型温度通常为190~250℃。
本发明的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料可以进行熔融成型并以单层的形式制成各种成型物,但从防止在水的存在下使用时的阻气性降低、提高机械强度等的观点出发,优选以向EVOH树脂组合物层中层叠了EVOH树脂以外的热塑性树脂层而成的多层结构体的形式供于各种成型物。
作为构成EVOH树脂以外的热塑性树脂层的热塑性树脂(以下有时称为“其它热塑性树脂”。),具体而言可列举出:直链状低密度聚乙烯、低密度聚乙烯、超低密度聚乙烯、中密度聚乙烯、高密度聚乙烯、乙烯-α-烯烃(碳数4~20的α-烯烃)共聚物等聚乙烯系树脂;聚丙烯、丙烯-α-烯烃(碳数4~20的α-烯烃)共聚物等聚丙烯系树脂;乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物、离聚物、乙烯-丙烯(嵌段和无规)共聚物、乙烯-丙烯酸共聚物、乙烯-丙烯酸酯共聚物、聚丁烯、聚戊烯等烯烃的单体或共聚物、或者将这些烯烃的单体或共聚物用不饱和羧酸或其酯进行接枝改性而成的物质等广义的聚烯烃系树脂;聚酯系树脂;聚酰胺系树脂(还包含共聚聚酰胺);聚氯乙烯;聚偏氯乙烯;丙烯酸系树脂;聚苯乙烯;乙烯酯系树脂;聚酯弹性体;聚氨酯弹性体;氯化聚乙烯;氯化聚丙烯;芳香族或脂肪族聚酮;进而对它们进行还原而得到的多元醇类。
其中,出于抑制树脂组合物的阻气性降低的目的而优选使用疏水性树脂,具体而言优选聚烯烃系树脂、特别优选聚乙烯系树脂、聚丙烯系树脂。
对于上述EVOH树脂组合物层和其它热塑性树脂层,还可以在多层结构体中各具有2层以上。
上述EVOH树脂组合物层和其它热塑性树脂层进而还可以在EVOH树脂组合物层与其它热塑性树脂层之间夹设粘接树脂层。
作为粘接树脂层,例如可以列举出:利用加成反应、接枝反应等使不饱和羧酸或其酸酐化学键合于烯烃系聚合物(上述的聚烯烃系树脂)而得到的含有羧基的改性烯烃系聚合物。具体而言,作为适合的物质可列举出:选自马来酸酐接枝改性聚乙烯、马来酸酐接枝改性聚丙烯、马来酸酐接枝改性乙烯-丙烯(嵌段和无规)共聚物、马来酸酐接枝改性乙烯-丙烯酸乙酯共聚物、马来酸酐接枝改性乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物等中的1种或2种以上的混合物。此时的热塑性树脂中含有的不饱和羧酸或其酸酐的量通常为0.001~3质量%、优选为0.01~1质量%、特别优选为0.03~0.5质量%。改性物中的改性量少时,有粘接性不充分的倾向,相反多时有引起交联反应,成型性变差的倾向。
需要说明的是,其它热塑性树脂层、粘接树脂层中还可以包含通常配混的公知的抗氧化剂、抗静电剂、增塑剂、润滑剂、成核剂、防粘连剂、蜡等。
上述多层结构体只要包含至少1层本发明的EVOH树脂组合物层即可,对其构成没有特别限定,出于防止由水分导致的树脂组合物的阻气性能降低的目的,本发明的EVOH树脂组合物层优选为中间层。此外,其它热塑性树脂层优选为外侧层。即,例如将多层结构体制成包装物时,其它热塑性树脂层(特别优选疏水性树脂层)成与内包物接触的层、及与外空气接触的层。
对于多层结构体的层构成,将本发明的EVOH树脂组合物层设为a(a1、a2、…)、将其它热塑性树脂层设为b(b1、b2、…)时,通常为3~20层、优选为3~15层、特别优选为3~10层。例如具体而言,可以是b/a/b、a/b/a、a1/a2/b、a/b1/b2、b2/b1/a/b1/b2、b2/b1/a/b1/a/b1/b2等任意的组合。
另外,对于上述多层结构体,还可以设置包含EVOH树脂组合物与EVOH树脂以外的热塑性树脂的混合物的再生层,所述再生层是对在制造该多层结构体的过程中产生的端部、不良品等进行再熔融成型而得到的。将上述再生层设为R时,多层结构体的层构成例如可列举出:b/a/R、R/b/a、b/R/a/b、b/R/a/R/b、b/a/R/a/b、b/R/a/R/a/R/b等。
特别是设置再生层的情况,从能够有效地活用在成型时产生的大量废料的观点出发在工业上优选。
多层结构中各层的厚度可根据层构成、用途、容器形态、所要求的物性等来调节。例如如下所述。需要说明的是,对于下述数值,EVOH树脂组合物层、粘接性树脂层、其它热塑性树脂层中至少1种的层存在2层以上时,采用其中厚度最厚的层的厚度。
本发明的EVOH树脂组合物层通常为1~500μm、优选为3~300μm、更优选为5~200μm。EVOH树脂组合物层过薄时,有阻气性降低的倾向,EVOH树脂组合物层过厚时,有得到的成型物的柔软性、二次加工性降低的倾向。
其它热塑性树脂层通常为10~6000μm、优选为20~4000μm、特别优选为100~2000μm。其它热塑性树脂层过薄时,有得到的成型物的刚性降低的倾向,其它热塑性树脂层过厚时,有得到的成型物的柔软性、二次加工性降低的倾向。
粘接性树脂层通常为1~100μm、优选为2~50μm、特别优选为5~40μm。
另外,对于各层的厚度比,EVOH树脂组合物层/其它热塑性树脂层的厚度比通常为0.005以上且低于1、优选为0.01以上且低于1、特别优选为0.02~0.2,树脂组合物层/粘接性树脂层的厚度比通常为0.2~100、优选为1~10、特别优选为1~5。
上述多层结构体还可以进一步利用公知的方法进行拉伸处理。
需要说明的是,利用公知的拉伸方法进行拉伸为宜,例如可列举出:单轴拉伸、双轴拉伸等。作为加热拉伸方法,可以采用辊拉伸法、拉幅法、筒管拉伸法、共注射拉伸吹塑法、深拉成型法、真空成型法、压空成型法、真空压空成型法、模塞助压式真空压空成型法等。双轴拉伸的情况还可以采用同时双轴拉伸方式、依次双轴拉伸方式的任意方式。共注射拉伸吹塑法的情况还可以采用冷型坯法、热型坯法的任意方式。拉伸温度是多层结构体的温度(多层结构体附近温度),通常选自80~200℃、优选选自100~160℃左右的范围。拉伸倍率以面积比计通常为2~100倍、优选为2~50倍。
经拉伸处理的多层结构体中的各层厚度如下所述。EVOH树脂组合物层通常为0.1~200μm、优选为1~100μm。其它热塑性树脂层通常为1~1000μm、优选为3~500μm。粘接性树脂层通常为0.1~50μm、优选为1~30μm。另外,对于各层的厚度比,EVOH树脂组合物层/其它热塑性树脂层的厚度比通常为0.0002以上且小于1、优选0.01以上且小于1,EVOH树脂组合物层/粘接性树脂层的厚度比为0.2~100、优选为1~10。
如上述那样得到的多层结构体可以加工成膜、片等薄膜;袋和杯、托盘、导管、瓶、罐等的中空容器;盖材等形状的容器。
上述容器除了通常的食品之外作为蛋黄酱、色拉调料等调味料、豆酱等发酵食品、色拉油等油脂食品、饮料、化妆品、药品、农药品、工业药品等的各种包装容器是有用的。
实施例
以下列举实施例对本发明进行具体说明,但只要本发明不超过其主旨,就不限定于实施例的记载。
需要说明的是,例中“份”、“%”没有特别声明时表示质量基准。
(实施例1)
使用:利用使含水EVOH的多孔性析出物与碱土金属盐(C)的水溶液接触后进行干燥的方法而得到的、以金属换算计含有35ppm乙酸镁作为碱土金属盐(C)的EVOH树脂(A)(乙烯含量29摩尔%、皂化度99.6摩尔%、MFR4.1g/10分钟(210℃、载荷2160g)、熔点185.6℃)85份;作为聚酰胺系树脂(B)的尼龙6的“NOVAMID 1028EN”(商品名、MitsubishiEngineering-Plastics Corporation制、熔点220℃)15份;以及、作为抗氧化剂的受阻酚系化合物(季戊四醇基-四[3-(3,5-二-叔丁基-4-羟基苯基)丙酸酯]“Irganox1010”(商品名、Ciba-Geigy Ltd.制))0.001份。
需要说明的是,EVOH树脂(A)与聚酰胺系树脂(B)的质量比(A)/(B)为85/15,碱土金属盐(C)的含有比例相对于EVOH树脂(A)与聚酰胺系树脂(B)的总计以金属换算为30ppm。
将它们放入挤出机中,使用弱混炼规格螺杆(日本制钢所株式会社制),在氮气气氛下、螺杆转速为500rpm、模嘴的喷出口直径为4.0mm、挤出机的料筒温度(℃)为C2/C3/C4/C5/C6/C7/C8/C9/C10/C11/C12/C13/C14/C15=100/230/230/230/230/230/230/230/230/230/230/210/210/210的方式进行加热,制作了乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料。
需要说明的是,上述弱混炼规格螺杆具有2处捏合区域,上述捏合区域的L/D的总计为6.5。
对于如上述那样熔融混炼而成的粒料,使用FLIR公司制“红外温度计FLIRi3”(商品名)测定了刚从模嘴出口喷出后的线料温度。
另外,将粒料填充至直径35mm×高度30mm的圆柱型玻璃制小盒中,轻敲3次后刮平作为黄色指数(YI)值测定用样品。依据JISZ-8722,使用日本电色工业株式会社制“分光色差计SE6000”(商品名)测定了得到的YI值测定用样品的黄色指数(YI)值。
另外,根据从挤出机的喷出量和螺杆马达的电功率求出熔融挤出时的树脂组合物的比能,这些将结果示于表1。
(实施例2)
实施例1中,对于熔融混炼的条件,将螺杆转速设为456rpm、将挤出机的料筒的温度(℃)设为C2/C3/C4/C5/C6/C7/C8/C9/C10/C11/C12/C13/C14/C15=100/230/230/230/230/240/240/240/240/240/240/240/240/240,除此以外与实施例1同样地进行,制作了乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料。
求出刚从模嘴出口喷出后的线料温度、成型体的黄色指数(YI)值、比能,将结果示于表1。
(比较例1)
实施例1中,对于熔融混炼的条件,将挤出机的料筒的温度(℃)设为C2/C3/C4/C5/C6/C7/C8/C9/C10/C11/C12/C13/C14/C15=100/230/230/230/230/240/240/240/240/240/240/240/240/240,除此以外与实施例1同样地进行,制作了乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料。
求出刚从模嘴出口喷出后的线料温度、成型体的黄色指数(YI)值、比能,将结果示于表1。
(比较例2)
实施例1中,使用通常规格螺杆(日本制钢所株式会社制)作为螺杆,对于熔融混炼的条件,将挤出机的料筒的温度(℃)设为C2/C3/C4/C5/C6/C7/C8/C9/C10/C11/C12/C13/C14/C15=100/230/230/230/230/240/240/240/240/240/240/240/240/240,除此以外与实施例1同样地进行,制作了乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料。需要说明的是,上述通常规格螺杆具有2处捏合区域,上述捏合区域的L/D的总计为10.25。
求出刚从模嘴出口喷出后的线料温度、成型体的黄色指数(YI)值、比能,将结果示于表1。

*通过目视评价,比较例1的Y1值为比较例2的同等以上。
由表1的结果可知,实施例1、2的黄色指数(YI)值为10以下,可以得到抑制了着色的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料。相对于此,比较例1、2的黄色指数(YI)值超过10,粒料上观察到着色。
由此,可知通过将刚从模嘴出口喷出后的树脂温度调整低于现有温度,特别优选调整为268℃以下,从而可以得到抑制了着色的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料。
参照特定的实施方式对本发明进行了详细地说明,但对于本领域技术人员来说显而易见的是可以在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下进行各种变更、修改。本申请基于2015年12月24日申请的日本专利申请(特愿2015-251832),其内容作为参照引入其中。
产业上的可利用性
使用了乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的成型物的阻气性优异且抑制了着色,在工业上是极其有用的。
Claims (5)
1.一种乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料,其含有乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)、聚酰胺系树脂(B)和碱土金属盐(C),
对所述粒料通过分光色差计并利用透过法测定的黄色指数(YI)值为10以下,
所述碱土金属盐(C)的含有比例相对于所述乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与所述聚酰胺系树脂(B)的总计,以金属换算为30~50ppm;所述碱土金属盐(C)是乙酸镁、碳酸镁、碳酸氢镁和磷酸一氢镁的一种或两种以上的组合。
2.根据权利要求1所述的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料,其中,所述乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与所述聚酰胺系树脂(B)的质量比((A)/(B))为60/40~98/2。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料,其还包含抗氧化剂。
4.一种乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物成型体,其是使权利要求1~3中任一项所述的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料熔融成型而得到的。
5.一种乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的制造方法,其为通过分光色差计并利用透过法测定时的黄色指数(YI)值为10以下的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物粒料的制造方法,
所述方法包括:使用熔融混炼装置对含有乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)、聚酰胺系树脂(B)和碱土金属盐(C)的树脂组合物进行熔融混炼的工序,
将刚从所述熔融混炼装置喷出后的乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物组合物线料的温度设为268℃以下,
所述碱土金属盐(C)的含有比例相对于所述乙烯-乙烯醇系共聚物(A)与所述聚酰胺系树脂(B)的总计,以金属换算为30~50ppm;所述碱土金属盐(C)是乙酸镁、碳酸镁、碳酸氢镁和磷酸一氢镁的一种或两种以上的组合。
