Referring to fig. 1, a battery welding method according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention includes: the battery case is conveyed to a sorting station S101 by a feeding conveyer belt; s102, detecting that the working states of the discharging stations of the two seal welding conveying belts are idle or occupy; sorting the battery cases positioned at the sorting station to any one of two seal welding conveyor belts with idle discharge stations S103; clamping and positioning the battery shell positioned at the welding station S104; and welding the battery shell positioned at the welding station according to the preset welding path S107.
Referring to fig. 2 and 3 together, in another embodiment, sorting the battery cases located at the sorting station to any one of the two sealing conveyer belts with the empty discharge station S103 includes:
if the discharging stations of the two sealing and welding conveyor belts are occupied, the battery shells positioned at the sorting stations wait until the discharging stations on the sealing and welding conveyor belts are idle S103A;

According to the preset welding path, the method also comprises the following steps before the step of welding the battery shell positioned at the welding station S107: and performing laser ranging on the battery case along a preset direction to obtain position adjustment data of the welding head S105.
The method comprises the following steps of carrying out laser ranging on a battery shell along a preset direction to obtain position adjustment data S105 of a welding head: and positioning and adjusting the welding joint along the preset direction according to the position adjustment data of the welding joint.
It should be noted that, in the present embodiment, the predetermined direction refers to a direction perpendicular to the surface of the top cap of the battery case, and the predetermined welding path is one turn around the circumference of the top cap.
In the battery welding method, the welding station of one sealing and welding conveyer belt is used for clamping and positioning, and the welding station of the other sealing and welding conveyer belt is used for welding the battery shell. When one sealing and welding conveyer belt finishes clamping and positioning the battery case, the other sealing and welding conveyer belt finishes welding the battery case, and then the welding head moves to the welding station of one sealing and welding conveyer belt for welding. The arrangement of the two seal welding conveying belts ensures that the two seal welding conveying belts can respectively complete the clamping positioning and welding of the battery case in the same time, and then the welding head reciprocates between the two seal welding conveying belts, so that the efficient utilization of the butt welding joint is realized. Therefore, the battery welding method has high production efficiency.
Referring to fig. 4, 5 and 6, the battery welding apparatus 100 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a frame 110, a conveying mechanism 120, a sorting mechanism 130, a positioning mechanism 140, a welding mechanism 150, a sensor assembly 160 and a controller (not shown). The battery welding apparatus 100 is used to fix and weld a battery case, among other things.
The frame 110 is a member that mainly plays a role of supporting and fixing. Therefore, the frame 110 is generally made of stainless steel, aluminum alloy, or other materials with high strength and rigidity, so as to reduce the problem of deformation and fracture of the frame 110 during operation.
The conveying mechanism 120 is disposed on the frame 110. The conveyor mechanism 120 includes an intermittently movable feed conveyor belt 122 and two seal conveyor belts 124. The two seal conveyors 124 and the feed conveyor 122 are arranged in parallel. Specifically, the feeding conveyor belt 122 and the two sealing conveyor belts 124 may be timing belts capable of performing a circulating motion. In addition, the battery welding equipment also has a driving mechanism connected to the feeding conveyer belt 122 and the two sealing conveyer belts 124, respectively, for driving the feeding conveyer belt 122 and the two sealing conveyer belts 124 to move, respectively. The feed conveyor 122 has a sorting station 1221 and the two seal conveyors 124 have a drop station and a welding station 1241. The feeding conveyor belt 122 is connected to the previous process, and conveys the battery cases processed by the previous process to the sorting station 1221. The battery case is sorted at the sorting station 1221, transported to the sealing conveyer belt 124, and clamped, positioned and welded at the welding station 1241. After the welding is completed, the workpiece is conveyed to the next process.
Referring to fig. 7, in the present embodiment, the feeding conveyor belt 122 and the two sealing conveyor belts 124 are provided with a housing seat 1222 on the surface thereof, the housing seat 1222 is provided with a slot 1223, and the battery housing can be held in the slot 1223.
The arrangement of the shell seat 1222 and the slot 1223 can prevent the battery shell from moving in the operation process, and ensure the stable transportation of the battery shell between the feeding conveyer belt 122 and the sealing conveyer belt 124. The shell bases 1222 follow the feeding conveyor belt 122 and the sealing conveyor belt 124 in a synchronous circulating motion, and the distance between each shell base 1222 is equal. Thus, the positioning of each housing seat 1222 can be calculated to detect whether the feeding conveyor 122 and the sealing conveyor 124 are operating normally.
Referring also to fig. 8, the sorting mechanism 130 is mounted to the frame 110. The sorting mechanism 130 is used to sort the battery cases located at the sorting station 1221 onto either of the two seal conveyors 124. Specifically, the sorting mechanism 130 may be a manipulator at any angle, or a manipulator movable at a predetermined angle, and only needs to ensure that the battery case can be sorted to the seal-welding conveyor belt 124.
Specifically, in the embodiment, the sorting mechanism 130 includes a sorting manipulator 132, a slide rail 134 and a sorting moving member 136, the slide rail 134 includes a first slide rail 1341 and a second slide rail 1342, the first slide rail 1341 extends along a first direction perpendicular to the length direction of the feeding conveyer 124, the second slide rail 1342 extends along a second direction perpendicular to the direction of the feeding conveyer 122 and the first direction, and the sorting moving member 136 is configured to drive the sorting manipulator 132 to slide along the first slide rail 1341 and the second slide rail 1342. It should be noted that, in the present embodiment, when the welding apparatus is placed horizontally, the first direction refers to a direction perpendicular to the feeding conveyor belt 122 in a horizontal plane, and the second direction refers to a direction perpendicular to the horizontal plane.
When the battery case does not enter the sorting station 1221, the sorting robot 132 is located at the initial position. The home position refers to the sorting robot 132 being in a position waiting for sorting. When the battery case enters the sorting station 1221, the sorting robot 132 is driven by the sorting movement 136 to move along the first sliding rail 1341 and the second sliding rail 1342 to enter the sorting station 1221, and is adjusted to a height suitable for gripping the battery case. The sorting robot 132 has a sorting end that can be opened or closed. The sorting ends are closed to grip the battery enclosure at the sorting station 1221. Further, the sorting robot 1221 moves to one of the sealing belts 124, the sorting end is opened, and the battery case is held in the engaging groove 1223 of the case holder 1222 of the sealing belt 124. After the sorting is completed, the sorting mover 136 drives the sorting robot 132 to move to the initial position.
Sorting manipulator 132, slide rail 134 and the setting of letter sorting moving member 136, when the battery case got into letter sorting station 1221, letter sorting manipulator 1221 can be fast accurate transport the battery case to seal welding conveyer belt 124, the effectual work efficiency that improves battery welding equipment 100.
Further, the sorting mechanism 130 further includes a flexible sheet 138, and the flexible sheet 138 is disposed at the sorting end of the sorting robot 132.
The flexible sheet 138 can prevent the surface of the battery case from being damaged when the sorting mechanical arm 132 clamps the battery case, and the surface precision of the battery case is improved. Specifically, the flexible sheet 138 may be a sponge, an elastic rubber pad, rubber, or other material, and only needs to ensure that the surface of the battery case is not scratched when the battery case is clamped.
Referring to fig. 9, two positioning mechanisms 140 are mounted on the frame 110 and respectively correspond to the welding stations 1241 of the two sealing belts 124. The positioning mechanism 140 is used to secure the battery enclosure at the welding station 1241.
The positioning mechanism 140 can clamp and fix the battery case when the battery case enters the welding station 1241, so as to facilitate the next welding process.
In the present embodiment, the positioning mechanism 140 includes an intercepting component 142, a side pressure component 144, and a positive pressure component 146. Wherein:
the intercepting component 142 includes a positioning block 1421, an intercepting block 1422, and an intercepting motion 1423. The positioning block 1421 is disposed on a side of the sealing conveyer belt 124 opposite to the intercepting component 142, and the intercepting moving element 1423 is used for driving the intercepting block 1422 to move along a first direction, so that the intercepting block 1422 abuts against the positioning block 1421.
The side pressure assembly 144 includes a side pressure block 1441, a side pressure moving member 1442, and a side pressure slide rail 1443. The side pressure slide rail 1443 extends along the first direction, the side pressure moving member 1442 is slidably disposed on the side pressure slide rail 1443, and the side pressure moving member 1443 can drive the side pressure block 1441 to move along the length direction of the sealing and welding conveyor belt 124 and the first direction, so that the side pressure block 1441 is abutted to the battery case.
The positive pressure assembly 146 includes a front pressing block 1461 and a positive pressure moving member 1462, and the positive pressure moving member 1462 is configured to drive the front pressing block 1461 to move in a first direction, so that the front pressing block 1461 is pressed against the battery case.
The positioning block 1421, the intercepting block 1422, the side pressure block 1441 and the front pressure block 1461 are arranged for two reasons:
(1) in order to ensure the welding precision and improve the welding quality of the battery case, the battery case needs to be positioned accurately at the welding station 1241. As the battery case is conveyed to the welding station 1241, the battery case will continue to move along the seal conveyor belt 124 due to the inertia. In the welding process, some uncertain factors also exist to cause the battery shell to slightly shake, so that the welding effect is influenced. The positioning block 1421 and the intercepting block 1422 cooperate to intercept the battery case from the length direction of the sealing and welding conveyor belt 124, so as to prevent the battery case from continuing to move due to inertia after entering the welding station 1241. The side pressure blocks 1441 cooperate with the interception blocks 1422 to press the battery case from the first direction, thereby further preventing the battery case from being displaced along the sealing conveyer belt 124. The positioning block 1421 cooperates with the front pressing block 1461 to press the battery case along the sealing and welding direction of the conveying belt 124, so as to prevent the battery from swinging along the first direction. Therefore, the positioning block 1421, the intercepting block 1422, the side pressing block 1441 and the front pressing block 1461 surround the surface of the battery case, and limit the battery case in a space along the circumferential direction of the battery case, so that a better positioning effect is achieved.
(2) Normally, the battery case has a block structure. The positioning block 1421, the intercepting block 1422, the side pressing block 1441 and the front pressing block 1461 are all arranged in a block structure and move in a direction parallel to the surface of the battery case or a direction perpendicular to the surface of the battery case in the positioning process, so that the positioning block 1421, the intercepting block 1422, the side pressing block 1441 and the front pressing block 1461 have the largest contact area with the battery case, the battery case is conveniently and firmly positioned at the welding station 1241, and the welding precision is improved. Meanwhile, according to the pressure law, under the condition that the force is kept unchanged, the pressure can be reduced by increasing the stress area. Therefore, under the condition that the positioning block 1421, the intercepting block 1422, the side pressing block 1441 and the front pressing block 1461 have the largest contact area with the battery case, the pressure applied to the surface of the battery case is the smallest, so that the deformation of the battery case due to extrusion in the positioning process can be effectively prevented, and the surface precision of the battery case is improved conveniently.
Further, in the present embodiment, a groove 14212 is formed on the surface of the positioning block 1421, and the intercepting block 1422 can move along the first direction until being embedded in the groove 14212.
As the battery case enters the welding station 1241, the blocker 1422 moves in a first direction, directly intercepting the battery case from its direction of motion, such that the movement of the battery case along the seal conveyor belt 124 is forced to stop. However, if the interception force of the interception block 1422 is small or the interception speed is relatively delayed, the interception block may be driven by the battery case during interception and move along the length direction of the sealing and welding conveyor belt 124, thereby affecting the welding process. The intercepting block 1422 is embedded in the recess 14212, which effectively prevents the battery case from driving the intercepting block 1422 to move. Therefore, the method has better interception effect.
Specifically, the intercepting moving part 1423, the side pressure moving part 1442 and the positive pressure moving part 1462 are all telescopic cylinders, and telescopic shafts of the telescopic cylinders are respectively connected with the corresponding intercepting block 1422, the corresponding side pressure block 1441 and the corresponding front pressure block 1461. The telescopic cylinder is a common driver, is simple to use, occupies a small space, and is convenient for reducing the volume of the battery welding equipment 100.
Referring to fig. 10, the welding mechanism 150 is movably mounted to the frame 110, and the welding mechanism 150 is used for welding the battery cases at the welding stations 1241 of the two sealing belts 124.
In the present embodiment, the welding mechanism 150 includes a welding head 152, a first robot 154, a second robot 156, and a third robot 158. The first robot 154 may move the welding head 152 in a first direction, the second robot 156 may move the welding head 152 in a second direction, and the third robot 158 may move the welding head 152 in the direction of the sealing conveyor 124.
In this way, the welding head 152 is adjusted to a position having the best welding effect by reciprocating along the length direction, the first direction and the second direction of the sealing conveyer belt 124, thereby improving the welding quality of the battery case. The battery case has a top cover and a case, and the welding head 152 can weld the top cover of the battery case to the case by emitting a wave-shaped or spiral laser.
Further, the battery welding apparatus 100 further includes a protection nozzle 170, and the protection nozzle 170 is disposed at the welding end of the welding head 152 for blowing air in the second direction.
The protective nozzle 170 prevents the smoke generated during the welding process from floating outwards.
The sensor assembly 160 is disposed on the frame 110. The sensor assembly 160 includes a battery enclosure sensor 162, and the battery enclosure sensor 162 is used for detecting whether the sorting station 1221 and the emptying station are idle or occupied.
Specifically, the battery case sensor 162 may be a photoelectric sensor, a laser sensor, or another type of sensor, and it is only necessary to ensure that the working states of the sorting station 1221 and the emptying station can be detected as idle or occupied.
The controller is communicatively coupled to the sensor assembly 160, the positioning mechanism 140, and the welding mechanism 150. The controller is used for controlling the sorting mechanism 130 to sort the battery shells positioned at the sorting station 1221 to any one of the two sealing and welding conveyor belts 124 with the discharging station in an idle state.
The setting on the controller for battery welding equipment 100 just can work under the operating personnel condition need not to use, is convenient for reduce battery welding equipment 100's manufacturing cost, improves work efficiency, realizes battery case welded automation.
In this embodiment, the sensor assembly 160 further includes a housing sensor 164. The light emitting surface of the housing seat sensor 164 faces the surfaces of the feeding conveyer belt 122 and the sealing conveyer belt 124, and the housing seat sensor 164 is configured to send a signal to the controller when the housing seat 1222 enters the detection area of the housing seat sensor 164, so as to detect whether the working status of the feeding conveyer belt 122 and the sealing conveyer belt 124 is normal or faulty.
Since each step of the battery welding apparatus 100 is preset in an automated manufacturing process. Any one part is failed, and the whole production flow is affected. The shell seat sensor 164 is configured to monitor the operation of the feeding conveyor 122 and the sealing conveyor 124 in real time. Specifically, the shell seat sensor 164 is disposed on one side of the feeding conveyor belt 122 and the sealing conveyor belt 124. When the housing 1222 passes the detection area of the housing sensor 164, the housing sensor 164 sends a signal to the controller. The shell holder sensor 164 precisely positions the shell holder by sensing the instant the shell holder 1222 is sensed, and then positioning the shell holder 1222 after a fixed distance is traveled. If the positioning is accurate, the controller sends control signals to the sensor assembly 160, the positioning mechanism 140 and the welding mechanism 150, so as to control the normal operation of the process of the battery welding equipment 100. If the positioning is wrong, the controller gives an alarm and sends a stop signal, and the sensor assembly 160, the positioning mechanism 140 and the welding mechanism 150 stop working, so that the loss in the production process can be effectively reduced.
In this embodiment, the welding device further includes a laser range finder 180, the laser range finder 180 is movably disposed on the second manipulator 156 and is in communication with the controller, and the laser range finder 180 is configured to obtain a distance parameter between the laser range finder 180 and the battery case along a predetermined direction and feed the distance parameter back to the controller to calibrate a distance between the welding head 152 and the predetermined direction. In this embodiment, the predetermined direction is the second direction, which is also the height direction of the battery case. It should be noted that in other embodiments, the preset direction can be set according to the requirement.
The height of each battery case in the second direction is not uniform due to errors in the manufacturing process. In the process of realizing the automatic production of the battery welding device 100, the distance parameter of the welding head 152 to the battery shell is determined. Within the preset distance parameter, the battery shell has a better welding effect. The laser rangefinder 180 is configured to measure the distance between the battery enclosure and the welding head 152 in the second direction each time the battery enclosure enters the welding station 1241 and to feed data back to the controller. The controller controls the welding head 152 to move, adjusts the distance between the welding head 152 and the battery case along the second direction to be a preset distance, and then performs welding, so that a good welding effect is achieved.
Referring to fig. 11, the working principle of the laser range finder 180 is briefly described as follows:
normally, the laser rangefinder 180 is attached to the welding head 152 and remains fixed in position relative to the welding head 152. The laser rangefinder 180 alternates operation between the two seal belts 124. When the controller sends a control signal to the laser rangefinder 180, the laser rangefinder 180 moves to the welding station 1241 where laser rangefinding is desired. Starting from any point A on one side edge of the top cover of the battery case, the top cover of the battery case moves along the direction vertical to the edge until moving to a point B on the other edge opposite to the edge. In the process of moving from the point A to the point B in a straight line, the laser range finder 180 emits laser, the laser forms reflection on the surface of the top cover of the battery case, and the laser range finder 180 can measure and calculate the distance between the laser range finder 180 and the surface of the battery case along the second direction according to the angle difference of the laser reflection and feed back data to the controller. Since the relative position of the laser range finder 180 and the welding head 152 is kept unchanged, the controller may calculate the distance between the welding head 152 and the surface of the battery case along the second direction according to the data fed back by the laser range finder 180, thereby controlling the welding head 152 to move and adjust to a position suitable for welding. And during welding, the welding part is welded around the edge of the top cover of the welding part by taking the B as a starting point. And finally moving to a point B and stopping welding.
Referring also to fig. 12, the operation of the battery welding apparatus 100 will be briefly described as follows:
normally, the feeding conveyor 122 and the sealing conveyor 124 are circularly transported. After the previous process is completed, the battery shells are conveyed to the feeding conveyer belt 122 and are clamped in the clamping grooves 1223 of the shell seat 1222, so that the battery shells are prevented from being separated from the feeding conveyer belt 122 due to movement in the process of the feeding conveyer belt 122. The sorting station 1221 is provided with a battery case sensor 162, and when a battery case enters the sorting station 1221, the battery case sensor 162 located at the sorting station 1221 sends a trigger signal to the controller, and the controller controls the feeding conveyor belt 122 to stop moving. The controller is also communicatively coupled to the battery enclosure sensor 162 at the welding station 1241. When the battery shells exist in the discharging stations of the two sealing and welding conveyor belts 124, the controller sends a waiting signal to the sorting mechanism 130, and the sorting manipulator 132 is located at the initial position to wait. When a battery case exists in the discharging station of one of the sealing conveyer belts 124, the controller controls the sorting robot 132 to move from the initial position to the sorting station 1221, pick the battery case, and convey the battery case to the other sealing conveyer belt 124. When no battery shell exists in the discharging stations of the two sealing and welding conveyor belts 124, the controller controls the sorting manipulator 132 to convey the battery shell positioned at the sorting station 1221 into the shell seat of any one sealing and welding conveyor belt 124.
Generally, when the battery case is conveyed to one of the sealing conveyer belts 124, the other sealing conveyer belt 124 is in the welding process. The battery case is transported by the sealing conveyor belt 124 into an idle welding station 1241. The controller receives a signal from the battery enclosure sensor 162 of the welding station 1241 and triggers the positioning mechanism 140 to move to secure the battery enclosure to the welding station 1241. At the same time, the welding process of the other welding station 1241 is completed and the controller controls the welding head 152 to move. The laser rangefinder 180 performs laser rangefinding on the battery case located at the welding station 1241 and feeds data back to the controller. Further, the controller controls the welding head 152 to move according to the feedback data, and adjusts the distance of the welding head 152 in the second direction, so that the distance between the welding head 152 and the battery case in the second direction meets the preset requirement. Further, the controller controls the welding head 152 to move to complete the welding of the battery case. The positioning mechanism 140 is released, the sealing and welding conveyor belt 124 is started, and the welded battery shell enters the next process.
In the battery welding apparatus 100, the two sealing conveyer belts 124 and the feeding conveyer belt 122 are disposed in parallel, and the feeding conveyer belt 122 is disposed between the two sealing conveyer belts 124. When the discharge station of one of the sealing conveyer belts 124 is in an occupied state and the discharge station of the other sealing conveyer belt 124 is in an idle state, the sorting mechanism 130 sorts the battery case located at the sorting station 1221 to the discharge station of the other sealing conveyer belt, and then the positioning mechanism 140 moves to clamp and position the battery case transported to the welding station 1241 of the other sealing conveyer belt 124. And while clamping and positioning, the welding mechanism 130 moves at the welding station 1241 of one of the sealing and welding conveyor belts 124 and welds the battery case. When one of the sealing conveyer belts 124 completes the welding and the other sealing conveyer belt 124 completes the fixing of the battery case, the welding mechanism 150 moves to the welding station 1241 of the other sealing conveyer belt 124 for welding. Due to the arrangement of the two sealing and welding conveyor belts 124 and the two positioning mechanisms 140, the welding mechanism 150 works between the two sealing and welding conveyor belts 124 alternately, and the battery welding equipment can finish the clamping and welding of the battery case in the same time. Therefore, the above battery welding apparatus 100 can effectively improve the production efficiency.
