Description

本发明涉及一种夹头,尤其是可以安装在带有螺纹轴的工具或机床上的夹头。
工具或机床上常常设有可容纳各种尺寸直径的工具头的调节夹头。例如,钻床具有可容纳各种尺寸钻头的调节夹头。又如,铣床、电动或汽动的旋凿、特形铣床和其他有动力装置的工具都具有夹持不同刀柄直径工具头的夹头。夹头一般都安装到一可旋转的机轴上,它是通过用手将带螺纹的夹头拧到轴上,然后再用扳手紧固夹头来完成的。然而,这种手动的安装方法很不方便,并且由于使用的人紧固夹头时紧固的程度不一定都一样,因此对于夹头如何才算牢固地连接到轴上各人会有不同的看法和做法。另外,在安装过程中夹头可能由于用扳手夹紧而受到损伤。
本发明的目的在于提供一种改进的夹头,它可以较容易地安装到机轴上。
本发明的另一目的在于提供一夹头,该夹头具有一形成在夹头体内与夹头体形成一体的插座,该插座的形状设计得可以容纳相应的、与之相配合的驱动装置,这种驱动装置可以是由一自动工具驱动的驱动装置。
本发明的这些和另一些目的是通过提供这样一种夹头来实现的,该夹头具有一形成在夹头体内的轴向插座。由于夹头的螺纹部分也是与夹头体连成一体的,因此可通过用一适当的驱动装置与插座啮合,用手或用有动力装置的工具转动驱动装置而将夹头安装到轴上。插座可做成长孔形的,以容纳一旋凿或类似的驱动装置,或者插座也可做成六角形的,以容纳六角头的旋凿。插座还可以做成其他工业标准插座的形状,例如花键插座或十字槽插座等。在一较佳实施例中,夹头插座可以容纳通常使用的,以“TORX”商标出售的成套的驱动头。本发明的进一步的特征、特性和各种优点将通过下面参照附图对较佳实施例所作的详细描述而得以进一步明确。

夹头一般有一带有螺纹的内孔,以使它可以安装到带有螺纹的机轴上。通常,夹头用手拧到轴上,再用扳头紧固。虽然这是个可接受的连接夹头的方法,但效率比较低,而且如果用力不当,可能会损坏夹头的外部。另外,如果夹头磨损了,或机器需要修理,就必须把夹头从轴上拆下。安装和拆下夹头都希望不要损坏夹头体。本发明提供的夹头,在夹头体内形成有插座。插座可容纳普通的驱动头,它可用手动或一自动动力工具将夹头安装到机轴上,而不会损坏夹头的外部。自动工具还可以具有限制转矩的装置,以防止在连接过程中驱动装置向夹头施加过度的转矩。
本发明夹头的一个举例说明性的实施例如图1所示。夹头10有一连在夹头体14上的套筒12。套筒12可以在轴承20上绕轴线18旋转。螺母22套在三个夹爪上,如夹爪24,这些夹爪设置得可以在夹头体14的孔内作往复运动。夹爪24一般是沿轴线26作往复运动的。螺母22与套筒12之间的连接关系是,当套筒12绕轴线18旋转时,螺母22的螺纹与夹爪的齿啮合,推动夹爪24沿轴线26运动。当夹爪要抓住刀具时,可旋转套筒12,使夹爪的内表面28抓住刀具的柄部。为了换刀具或容纳较大的刀柄,套筒12可反向旋转,使夹爪向后缩。
夹头体14具有带螺纹的轴向孔30以将夹头10安装在带螺纹的机轴上(图中未画出)。普通的夹头是通过用一扳手转动套筒而紧固到轴上的。在本发明中,夹头10在夹头体14内形成有一插座32。如图2-4所示,插座32在入孔34和带螺纹的孔30之间沿轴向延伸。
如果希望将夹头10安装到机轴上,夹爪必须充分后缩以使驱动头可以通过入孔34而插入插座32之中。夹头体14的轴向对称的表面36在插入过程中可以帮助引导驱动头进入插座32。插座32最好制成可容纳以商标“TORX”出售的驱动头的形状,因为这些驱动头是使用动力工具的用户所常用的。这些驱动头的横截面形状与图4所示的插头32的横截面形状基本相同。其横截面为圆形,沿着它的圆周均匀分布着较小的半圆形部分。一具有类似横截面的紧固件在Carlson的美国专利3,352,190中有所揭示。插座32的侧壁基本上与轴线18平行。虽然这种形状是比较合适的,但不言而喻,对于那些本技术领域的技术人员来说,对本发明的构思作某些变更仍然可以达到啮合所需驱动头的目的。例如,如图5中38所示,插座32可做成六角形的,以容纳六角头旋凿,或如图6中40所示制成矩形的,以容纳旋凿的扁平头之类的头部。插座32还可制成美国国家标准的六角形和花键插座形状(ANSI    B18.3-1976),见Erik    Oberg,Franklin    D.Jones和Holbrook    L.Horton的《机械工程手册》中第1210页(Poul    B.Schubert    et    al.eds.,2lst    ed.,Industrial    Press,Inc.,New    York,Now    York,1980),在此援引作为参考,其他可能的插座形状有I型,IA型和I型等十字凹进形状,(ANSI    B18.6.3-1972,R    1977)具体可参见同上出版物第1186页。
虽然夹头10可用一动力驱动头插入插座32、38、40或类似插座而方便地连接到轴上,但用非动力的手动工具也同样是有利的,因为同样不需要用扳手夹住夹头的外部而将夹头紧固到轴上。
应当明白,上述实施例仅仅是对本发明原理的举例说明,对于本技术领域的普通技术人员来说,在不背离本发明的范围和精神的情况下,对本发明作出种种变化是完全有可能的。例如,插座32并不一定需要在入孔34至螺纹孔30的整个长度上延伸,插座32可以做成从入孔34部分延伸入夹头体14的凹部。阴插座32的啮合功能也可以通过在入孔34端部的相同位置处使用阳插头结构来实现。另外,夹头和轴之间的螺纹连接也是与夹头体连成一体的阳轴和一机具阴轴之间的连接。

Claims (21)

1、一种适合于固定在带螺纹的轴上的夹头,该夹头包括一夹头体,该夹头体具有带螺纹的轴向内孔的部分,形成轴向入孔的部分和形成轴向插座的部分,插座可容纳驱动头,转动驱动头以使驱动头与插座啮合,以转动夹头,就可以将带螺纹的轴向内孔拧到带螺纹的轴上。
2、如权利要求1所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座在夹头体内从入孔向带螺纹的轴向内孔作轴向延伸。
3、如权利要求1所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座的形状制成可容纳以商标“TORX”出售的驱动头。
4、如权利要求1所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座具有六角形横截面,且其侧壁基本上与夹头纵向轴线平行。
5、如权利要求1所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座具有矩形横截面,且其侧壁基本上平行于钻头夹头的纵向轴线。
6、如权利要求1所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座的横截面形状基本上为圆形,在其圆周上均匀分布有基本上为半圆形的部分。
7、如权利要求1所述的夹头,其特征在于,夹头体具有一与插座及入孔相邻的表面,当驱动头插入入孔内时,该表面帮助引导驱动头进入插座。
8、一种夹头体,它包括能够拧在带螺纹轴上的带螺纹的轴向内孔部分,形成轴向入孔的部分,和形成轴向插座的部分,该插座可容纳动力工具驱动头,驱动头转动,以使驱动头与插座啮合,并转动夹头体,可使带螺纹的轴向内孔与带螺纹的轴啮合,将夹头体旋到带螺纹的轴上,该轴向插座在夹头体内从入孔向带螺纹的轴向内孔作轴向延伸。
9、如权利要求8所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座的形状制成可容纳以商标“TORX”出售的驱动头的形状。
10、如权利要求8所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座具有六角形横截面,且其侧壁基本上与钻头夹头纵向轴平行。
11、如权利要求8所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座具有矩形横截面,且其侧壁基本上平行于夹头的纵向轴线。
12、如权利要求8所述的夹头,其特征在于,插座的横截面形状基本上为圆形,在其圆周上均匀分布有基本为半圆形的部分。
13、如权利要求8所述的夹头,其特征在于,夹头体具有一与插座及入孔相邻的轴向对称的表面,当动力工具驱动头被插入入孔内时,该表面帮助引导驱动头进入插座。
14、一种夹头具有一夹头体,该夹头体通过螺纹安装在一轴上,所述夹头具有一轴向对准所述轴的容纳工具的凹部,一通过所述凹部可接近的所述夹头体的部分,所述夹头体的所述部分的形状制成可转动地与插入所述凹部的驱动头啮合,该凹部基本上与所述轴的轴线平行,以使所述夹头可通过驱动头绕所述轴的轴线的转动而拧在所述轴上或从所述轴上拧下。
