Description

车螺纹的方法和切削镶刃
本发明涉及一种车螺纹的方法和切削镶刃。本方法的目的是在一转动工件上生成螺纹,其中,一包括至少两切削尖头的车螺纹镶刃沿该工件经若干次走刀生成该螺纹的形状。本发明还涉及一种切削镶刃。
现有技术
在车螺纹时常常使用由一镶刃体构成的切削镶刃,镶刃体上有一个或多个刀刃。这些刀刃的几何形状设计成能在一转动工作上车去切屑而生成螺纹。所得螺纹呈ISO、UN、Whitworth等齿形并有一节距。现有全齿形镶刃型车螺纹镶刃构作成,该刀刃的齿形的最大宽度等于节距,其切屑镶刃尖头形成比方说一60°的齿形角。这种车螺纹镶刃的强度在切削镶刃尖头的顶点处最低。在通常车螺纹时,该尖头所受应力最大,在一次次走刀到螺纹最大深度的过程中由尖头的顶点进行切削。
比方说US-A-4,575,888公开了在同一切削角上使用若干切削尖头,以便减少形成螺纹所需的走刀数。但由于刀刃的加长导致切削力的增大,因此这类具有多个齿的镶刃的使用须增大螺纹后角,工作条件也更严格,从而其使用受到限制。
侧向送进所得切屑的横截面呈长方形,这比径向送进所得正V形横截面的切屑容易成形和处理。此外,侧向送进可更有效的减少切削镶刃角的发热,因此可提高切屑厚度,从而以与径向送进的相同走刀数即可生成螺纹。但当与螺纹的一侧面平行地送进现有车螺纹镶刃时,抵靠该侧面的刀刃并不进行切削工作,而只是在该侧面上打滑,从而磨损刀刃,使该螺纹侧面的表面不光滑,为防止这些负效应,必需以一小于侧面角的角度送进切削镶刃尖头,但从辅助刀刃边上所生成的切屑又薄又发生缠绕,从而影响刀具的寿命和表面光洁度。
本发明的目的
本发明的一个目的是提供一种结合了径向送进和侧向送进的优点的车螺纹镶刃,即径向送进的简单实用与侧向送进的切屑容易控制相结合。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种多齿车螺纹镶刃,工作中的螺纹后角无需很大,工作条件无需很严格。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种车螺纹镶刃,它用若干切削尖头分担工作载荷,从而提高刀具寿命。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种车螺纹镶刃,它可减少车螺纹的加工时间。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种车螺纹方法,其生产成本降低。

本发明的详细说明
图1和2示出本发明一切削镶刃10。所示实施例中的该切削镶刃的外形与ISO齿形的外螺纹相配,其上最好有硬质合金涂层。所示实施例也可使用其他多边形,例如长方形、方形、菱形等。此外,该切削镶刃可使用切向安装而非所示径向安装、夹紧方法。该切削镶刃呈三角形,包括顶面11和底面12。该顶面和底面与侧面13、14和15垂直。各侧面互成60°角。该切削镶刃有一中心孔16,螺丝之类的紧固件穿过其中而把该切削镶刃夹紧到一未示出的刀架的切削镶刃凹座上。该切削镶刃在各侧面的相交处有三个切削角17。该切削角17包括前部第一切削镶刃尖头18a、后部第二切削镶刃尖头18b、一沿切屑面19与后角面20的交线伸展的刀刃30和一断屑凸缘22。该切削镶刃有一中心轴线CL。刀刃30的形状与一螺纹的横截面齿形相同而对称于一穿过所成螺纹的顶点的等分线B。该等分线与相连接的侧面13、14、15平行而伸展在中心轴线的一边,它与中心轴线之间的垂直距离为L。该距离为切削镶刃的边长的10-30%。
图3为切削角的放大图。刀刃30由光滑连接的若干段构成,包括第一鼻刃24、第一侧刃25、顶刃26、第二侧刃27和第二鼻刃28。该刀刃的投影长度K大大小于两倍螺纹节距,可小于1.5倍螺纹节距,最好约为1.4倍螺纹节距。“投影长度”指刀刃30在侧视图上的长度。刀刃30呈下凹形,因此刀刃在朝向工件中心轴线的方向上形成发散的螺纹侧面。等分线B界定两侧刃25和27,每一侧刃与等分线B之间形成一约为25-30°的锐角α。前部切削镶刃尖头18a在一与等分线B垂直且过顶刃26的直线Y与鼻刃24的顶点之间的距离为L1。后部切削镶刃尖头18b的该距离比L1长L2。后部切削镶刃18b的总距离为L3。距离L1约为0.47P,其中,P为螺纹节距或切削尖头18a、18b的顶点之间与等分线B垂直的距离。距离L2为0.05-0.12P,最好约为0.07P。后部切削镶刃尖头18b的总距离L3即L1加L2等于或大于螺纹深度即切削镶刃的送进总深度。此外,切削镶刃尖头18a上有一前刃29,而切削镶刃尖头18b上有一后刃31。这两刀刃或被动刀刃29、31互相平行且与等分线B平行而互相远离。但是,它们可呈其他形状,因为刀刃31和刀刃29的大部分在车螺纹的整个过程中并不用来切削工件。刀刃29从到顶刃26的垂直距离算起,至多其长度的1/3用来切削。但在开始车螺纹时至少可用该前刃对工件倒角。第一鼻刃24的半径R1至多为0.23P,第二鼻刃28的半径R2和顶刃26的半径R3至多为0.18P。第二鼻刃28与第三侧刃32光滑连接,而侧刃32与第一侧刃25平行。第三侧刃32与第二侧刃27对称,它经一约为0.1P的半径与后刃31连接。后部第二切削镶刃尖头18b的鼻刃28还在离该切削角上的顶点的切线T的垂直距离L4处与第三侧刃32连接,该距离L4小于两切削尖头的距离L1与L3之差L2。第一鼻刃24经一约为0.1P的半径与第一刀刃29连接。该前部切削镶刃尖头18a的等分线S1与等分线B平行而与过该切削镶刃尖头18a的顶点的一切线垂直。该后部切削镶刃尖头18b的等分线S2与等分线B平行而与过该切削镶刃尖头18b的顶点的一切线T垂直。等分线S1与等分线B之间的距离与等分线S2与等分线B之间的距离相等。从前刃29到等分线S1的距离L5约为0.166P,而从后刃31到等分线S2的距离L6稍大,即约为0.21P。这意味着,后部切削镶刃尖头18b在刀刃31与侧刃27之间的宽度总是大于前部切削镶刃尖头18a在刀刃29与侧刃25之间的宽度。第三侧刃32在离切线T的距离L7处与被动刀刃31连接,该距离L7大于距离L2。切屑面19上可有沿各刀刃伸展的断屑凸缘,但其上也可有用来形成切屑的部件,例如与各刀刃对应的突起、凹座等等。
应该看到,切削尖头的轮廓应与所需螺纹形状、例如梯形螺纹或圆螺纹相配。切削尖头的大小决定于螺纹实际齿形。如上所示,本发明切削镶刃的刀刃30与现有切削镶刃的刀刃颠倒。
下面结合图4、5和6详细说明该切削镶刃的作用,这些附图示出用本发明切削镶刃进行径向送进。在图4中,阴影区为各段不同的切屑。
在第一次走刀1a中,前部切削镶刃尖头18a的整个鼻刃24径向插入工件一定深度(送进深度)。该深度最好选择成2L2。比前部切削镶刃尖头18a更突起的后部切削镶刃尖头18b紧随前部切削镶刃尖头18a,从而切削出其深度为第一送进深度加上距离L2的区域1b。在第一次走刀时,前部切削镶刃尖头18a相当于现有的径向送进车螺纹镶刃,而后部尖头18b所生成的切屑类似于现有侧向送进生成的切屑。从图4可见,这两切削尖头分担切屑形成工作,从而每一尖头所受应力减小,从而较之单尖头切削镶刃延长了刀具寿命。
在第二次走刀2a中,前部切削镶刃尖头18a进一步向工件的中心轴线沿径向向里送进,从而生成切屑2a,该切屑的平衡点位于等分线S1右边。“平衡点”指所示横截面中的切屑在对应等分线的一边的面积更大。该深度最好为2L2。刀刃29此时稍稍接触工件,即小于所连接的鼻刃24的半径。然后尖头18b插入并切削出切屑2b,切屑2b的平衡点在等分线S2的左边。刀刃31在车螺纹时不接触工件。如第二次走刀所示,该径向送进切削镶刃用作一可良好控制切屑的另一侧向送进切削镶刃。
在第三次走刀中,与上述情况相同,前部尖头18a切削出切屑3a,而后部尖头18b切削出切屑3b。送进深度最好为0.05-0.1mm。
在第四次走刀中,与上述情况相同,前部尖头18a切削出切屑4a,而后部尖头18b切削出切屑4b。送进深度最好为0.05-0.1mm。从而车成螺纹,其切削时间最短、每一切削镶刃尖头所受应力最小,同时切屑受到良好控制。
由于切屑形成工作受到两尖头的分担,因此该切削镶刃每次走刀的送进深度可大大提高。这又意味着,走刀次数可减少,例如在车M12螺纹时可从现有的8次减少到4次。因此加工时间减短,每班可生产更多螺纹件。
切削镶刃的切屑面上可有凹座和/或突起,以便大大改善切屑的形成并在某些情况下减少发热。

Claims (10)

1、在一转动工件上车螺纹的方法,其中,一包括至少一切削角的车螺纹镶刃在径向送进过程中经沿该工件的若干次走刀而生成该螺纹的形状,其特征在于,该方法包括下列步骤:
—在该切削角上形成高度(L1,L3)不同的两切削尖头(18a,18b),这两个切削尖头构成一刀刃(30),该刀刃用来在两切削尖头(18a,18b)之间形成一螺纹顶部,其中,该刀刃(30)的总投影长度小于两倍螺纹节距,
—在转动工件的同时沿径向向里送进该切削镶刃,
—对工件进行若干次走刀,每一次走刀增加送进深度,从而两切削尖头(18a,18b)相配合而切削出一螺纹齿形的顶部。
2、按权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,刀刃(30)呈下凹形,从而刀刃在朝向工件转动轴线的方向上形成发散的侧面;每一切削镶刃尖头(18a,18b)的周边有一部分(29,31)在车螺纹时至少部分地与工件相间距,以便在车螺纹时不接触工件。
3、在一工件上经若干次走刀和径向送进生成螺纹的车螺纹镶刃,其中,该切削镶刃呈包括至少一切削角的多边形,其特征在于,该切削角包括两个切削尖头(18a,18b),这两个切削尖头在第一直线(Y)上的高度(L1,L3)不同,这两个切削尖头构成一刀刃(30),该刀刃用来在两切削尖头(18a,18b)之间形成一螺纹顶部;该刀刃(30)的总投影长度小于两倍螺纹节距。
4、按权利要求3所述的车螺纹镶刃,其特征在于,刀刃(30)呈下凹形,从而刀刃在朝向工件转动轴线的方向上形成发散的侧面。

6、按权利要求5所述的车螺纹镶刃,其特征在于,每一切削镶刃尖头(18a,18b)包括上述形状基本为被动刀刃的部分(29,31),所述两被动刀刃分别位于该切削镶刃尖头的一等分线(S1,S2)一边并且互相远离。
7、按权利要求6所述的车螺纹镶刃,其特征在于,每一被动刀刃(29,31)与其等分线(S1,S2)平行。
8、按权利要求3所述的车螺纹镶刃,其特征在于,每一切削镶刃尖头(18a,18b)的周边由若干段构成,从而包括一被动刀刃(29,31)、一侧刃(25,27)、一鼻刃(24,28)和一顶刃(26),所述刀刃互相相对而以一半径(R1,R2)与其鼻刃和顶刃光滑连接,后部第二切削镶刃尖头(18b)的所述鼻刃(28)在离该切削尖头的顶点的一切线(T)的第一垂直距离(L4)处与一侧刃(32)连接,该第一垂直距离小于这两个切削尖头的高度(L1,L3)之差(L2);该侧刃(32)在离该切线(T)第二距离(L7)处与该被动刀刃(31)连接,该第二距离大于所述差(L2)。
