Abstract
本发明公开了一种像素补偿电路、其驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置,该像素补偿电路,包括:复位模块、数据写入模块、补偿模块、驱动模块和发光器件。通过补偿模块将发光器件的阈值电压提供给驱动模块,由于发光器件发生老化时,其阈值电压会增大,从而使得驱动模块在驱动发光器件发光时,可向发光器件提供较大的电流,进而增强了老化区域发光器件的亮度,改善了显示面板发光不均匀的问题。

本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种像素补偿电路、其驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置。
背景技术
有机电致发光显示面板(Organic Light Emitting Diode,OLED)是当今平板显示面板研究领域的热点之一,与液晶显示面板(Liquid Crystal Display,LCD)相比,OLED显示面板具有低能耗、生产成本低、自发光、宽视角及响应速度快等优点,目前,在手机、数码相机等显示领域,OLED显示面板已经开始取代传统的LCD显示面板,有望成为下一代显示面板的主流选择。
OLED显示面板的发光的均匀性,主要取决于驱动晶体管部分和发光器件部分。现有技术中一般采用可以补偿驱动晶体管的阈值电压的像素补偿电路来消除驱动晶体管的阈值电压及其迁移率对发光均匀性的影响;鲜有用于消除发光器件老化对发光均匀性影响的像素补偿电路。
发明内容
有鉴于此,本发明实施例提供一种像素补偿电路、其驱动方法、显示面板及显示装置,用以改善发光器件老化导致的显示面板发光不均匀的现象。
因此,本发明实施例提供的一种像素补偿电路,包括:复位模块、数据写入模块、补偿模块、驱动模块和发光器件;
所述复位模块的第一控制端连接第一控制信号端,第二控制端连接第二控制信号端,第一输入端和第二输入端分别连接感应线,第一输出端连接第一节点,第二输出端连接第二节点;所述复位模块用于在所述第一控制信号端和所述第二控制信号端的控制下,将所述感应线输出的复位信号提供给所述第一节点和所述第二节点;
所述数据写入模块的控制端连接第三控制信号端,输入端连接数据线,输出端连接第三节点;所述数据写入模块用于在所述第三控制信号端的控制下,将所述数据线输出的数据信号提供给所述第三节点;

下面结合附图,对本发明实施例提供的像素补偿电路、其驱动方法、显示面板和显示装置的具体实施方式进行详细的说明。需要说明的是本说明书所描述的实施例仅仅是本发明一部分实施例,而不是全部的实施例。基于本发明中的实施例,本领域普通技术人员在没有做出创造性劳动前提下所获得的所有其它实施例,都属于本发明保护的范围。
本发明实施例提供的一种像素补偿电路,如图1a和图1b所示,包括:复位模块101、数据写入模块102、补偿模块103、驱动模块104和发光器件EL;
复位模块101的第一控制端连接第一控制信号端G1,第二控制端连接第二控制信号端G2,第一输入端和第二输入端分别连接感应线Sense,第一输出端连接第一节点N1,第二输出端连接第二节点N2;复位模块101用于在第一控制信号端G1和第二控制信号端G2的控制下,将感应线Sense输出的复位信号Vref提供给第一节点N1和第二节点N2;
数据写入模块102的控制端连接第三控制信号端G3,输入端连接数据线Data,输出端连接第三节点N3;数据写入模块102用于在第三控制信号端G3的控制下,将数据线Data输出的数据信号Vdata提供给第三节点N3;

在本发明实施例提供的上述像素补偿电路中,由于可通过补偿模块103将发光器件EL的阈值电压Voled-th提供给驱动模块104,且发光器件EL发生老化时,发光器件EL的阈值电压Voled-th会增大,从而使得驱动模块104在驱动发光器件EL发光时,可向发光器件EL提供较大的电流,进而增强了老化区域发光器件EL的亮度,改善了显示面板发光不均匀的问题。
需要说明的是,在具体实施时,在本发明实施例提供的上述像素补偿电路中,发光器件EL可以为有机发光二极管oled;或者,发光器件EL可以为量子点发光二极管。在实际应用中,发光器件EL的具体结构需要根据实际应用环境来设计确定,在此不作限定。以下均以发光器件EL为有机发光二极管oled为例进行说明。
在具体实施时,在本发明实施例提供的上述像素补偿电路中,发光器件EL的不仅可以一端连接第二节点N2,另一端接地;还可以一端连接第二节点N2,另一端连接第二电源端VSS;并且第一电源端VDD的信号的电压一般为高电压,第二电源端VSS的信号的电压一般为低电压或接地。在实际应用中,第一电源端VDD与第二电源端VSS的信号的电压需要根据实际应用环境来设计确定,在此不作限定。
下面结合具体实施例,对本发明进行详细说明。需要说明的是,本实施例是为了更好的解释本发明,但不限制本发明。
在具体实施时,在本发明实施例提供的上述像素补偿电路中,如图1b所示,复位模块101,包括:第一开关晶体管T1和第二开关晶体管T2;
第一开关晶体管T1的栅极连接第一控制信号端G1,漏极连接感应线Sense,源极连接第一节点N1;
第二晶体管T2的栅极连接第二控制信号端G2,漏极连接感应线Sense,源极连接第二节点N2。
具体地,本发明实施例中提供的上述像素补偿电路,当第一开关晶体管T1在第一控制信号端G1的控制下处于导通状态时,感应线Sense输出的参考信号Vref通过导通的第一开关晶体管T1写入第一节点N1,以对第一节点N1进行复位,从而实现对与第一节点N1连接的补偿模块103的第一端的复位;当第二开关晶体管T2在第二控制信号端G2的控制下处于导通状态时,感应线Sense输出的参考信号Vref通过导通的第二开关晶体管T2写入第二节点N2,以对第二节点N2进行复位,从而实现对与第二节点N2连接的补偿模块103的第二端和驱动模块104的输出端的复位。

在具体实施时,在本发明实施例提供的上述像素补偿电路中,如图1b所示,数据写入模块102,包括:第三开关晶体管T3;
第三开关晶体管T3的栅极连接第三控制信号端G3,漏极连接数据线Data,源极连接第三节点N3。
具体地,本发明实施例中提供的上述像素补偿电路,当第三开关晶体管T3在第三控制信号端G3的控制下处于导通状态时,数据信号Vdate通过导通的第三开关晶体管T3传输至第三节点N3,以控制驱动模块104的控制端。

在具体实施时,在本发明实施例提供的上述像素补偿电路中,发光器件EL为有机发光二极管oled时,其在驱动晶体管T4处于饱和状态时的电流的作用下实现发光。并且有机发光二极管oled的阳极与第二节点N2相连,阴极接地。
现有技术中用于改善发光器件EL老化导致的显示面板发光不均匀,所包括的开关晶体管的个数较多且电路工作时序较复杂,导致工艺难度较大,生产成本增加,以及导致像素补偿电路占用较大面积。而本发明实施例提供的图1b所示的像素补偿电路中,通过第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3的相互配合,辅以简单的时序以及较少的信号线将发光器件EL的阈值电压Voled-th写入驱动晶体管T4,实现对发光器件EL的老化补偿,从而简化了制备工艺、降低了生产成本以及减小了占用面积,有利于高分辨率的显示面板的设计。
需要说明的是,本发明上述实施例中提到的第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2、第三开关晶体管T3和驱动晶体管T4源极和漏极,根据晶体管类型以及输入信号的不同,其功能可以互换,在此不做具体区分。
一般地,当第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2、第三开关晶体管T3和驱动晶体管T4均为P型晶体管时,源极为输入端,漏极为输出端;当第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2、第三开关晶体管T3和驱动晶体管T4均为N型晶体管时,漏极为输入端,源极为输出端。
并且,在本发明实施例提供的上述像素补偿电路中,第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2、第三开关晶体管T3和驱动晶体管T4均为P型晶体管或均为N型晶体管,在此不作限定。
最佳地,本发明实施例提供的上述像素补偿电路中,第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2、第三开关晶体管T3和驱动晶体管T4全部采用N型晶体管,这样可以简化像素补偿电路的制作工艺流程。
基于同一发明构思,本发明实施例还提供了一种上述像素补偿电路的驱动方法。由于该驱动方法解决问题的原理与上述像素补偿电路相似,因此该驱动方法的实施可以参见前述实例中像素补偿电路的实施,重复之处不再赘述。
具体地,本发明实施例提供的一种上述像素补偿电路的驱动方法,如图2所示,可以包括以下步骤:
S201、第一数据写入阶段,复位模块在第二控制信号端的控制下,对补偿模块的第二端的电位进行复位;数据写入模块在第三控制信号端的控制下,将数据线输出的第一数据信号写入补偿模块;
S202、补偿阶段,补偿模块将第一数据信号和发光器件的阈值电压提供给驱动模块的控制端;
S203、复位阶段,复位模块在第一控制信号端的控制下,对补偿模块的第一端的电位进行复位;并在第二控制信号端的控制下,对驱动模块的输出端的电位进行复位;
S204、发光阶段,驱动模块在发光器件的阈值电压和第一数据信号的共同控制下,驱动发光器件发光。
在具体实施时,为了改善驱动晶体管T4的阈值电压VT4-th对显示面板的发光均一性的影响,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,在执行步骤S203复位阶段,复位模块在第一控制信号端的控制下,对补偿模块的第一端的电位进行复位;并在第二控制信号端的控制下,对驱动模块的输出端的电位进行复位之后,且在执行步骤S204发光阶段,驱动模块在发光器件的阈值电压和第一数据信号的共同控制下,驱动发光器件发光之前,还可以执行以下步骤:
第二数据写入阶段,数据写入模块在第三控制信号端的控制下,将数据线输出的第二数据信号提供给驱动模块的控制端,其中,第二数据信号的电压等于第一数据信号的电压与驱动模块中驱动晶体管的阈值电压之和。
为了更好地理解本发明的技术方案,下面以图1b所示的像素补偿电路的结构为例对其工作过程作以描述,其中在图1b所示的像素补偿电路中,驱动晶体管和所有开关晶体管均为N型晶体管,各N型晶体管在高电平作用下导通,在低电平作用下截止;发光器件EL为有机发光二极管oled,其阳极连接第二节点N2,阴极连接第二电源端VSS(图1b中未示出),且第二电源端VSS接地;对应的输入时序图为图3所示,具体地,选用图3所示的驱动时序图中的第一数据写入阶段t1、补偿阶段t2和复位阶段t3阶段为例进行详细描述。
第一数据写入阶段t1:第一控制信号端G1输出低电平,第二控制信号端G2输出高电平,第三控制信号端G3输出高电平。
第一开关晶体管T1处于截止状态,第二开关晶体管T2、第三开关晶体管T3和驱动晶体管T4处于导通状态。数据线Data的数据信号Vdata通过导通的第三开关晶体管T3输出至第三节点N3,并经第三节点N3存储至第一电容C1和第二电容C2,同时控制驱动晶体管T4导通;感应线Sense输出的参考信号Vref通过导通的第二开关晶体管T2输出至第二节点N2,并经第二节点N2存储至第一电容C1和第二电容C2;此时发光器件EL不会发光,第一电容C1和第二电容C2两端压差即为驱动晶体管T4栅极与源极的电压差VGS,且VGS如下:

补偿阶段t2:第一控制信号端G1输出低电平,第二控制信号端G2输出低电平,第三控制信号端G3输出低电平。
第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3处于截止状态,驱动晶体管T4处于导通状态。第一电源信号端VDD的信号通过导通的驱动晶体管T4对第二节点N2进行充电,最终第二节点N2的电位为第二电源信号端VSS的信号Vss与发光器件EL的阈值电压Voled-th之和,即Vss+Voled-th;由于第一电容C1和第二电容C2的总电荷保持不变,故VGS保持不变,第二节点N2的电位和第三节点N3的电位同时抬升,最终第三节点N3的电位即驱动晶体管T4的栅极电位为:

复位阶段t3:第一控制信号端G1输出高电平,第二控制信号端G2输出高电平,第三控制信号端G3输出低电平。
第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2和驱动晶体管T4处于导通状态,第三开关晶体管T3处于截止状态。感应线Sense输出的参考信号Vref通过导通的第二开关晶体管T2输出至第二节点N2,第二节点N2的电位被下拉至Vref;感应线Sense输出的参考信号Vref通过导通的第一开关晶体管T1输出至第一节点N1,对第一节点N1进行复位为Vref。相较于t2阶段,第一节点N1的电位变化如下:

由于第一开关晶体管T1和第二开关晶体管T2均处于导通状态,第二电容C2放电,第一电容C1电荷守恒,第一节点N1的电位和第三节点N3的电位同时降低,第三节点N3的电位即驱动晶体管T4的栅极电位为:

根据上式可知,最终驱动晶体管T4的VGS由数据线Data的数据信号Vdata、第二电源端VSS的信号Vss、感应线Sense line的参考信号Vref、以及发光器件EL的阈值电压Voled-th共同作用。在具体实施时,第二电源端VSS接地,其输出的信号Vss一般为0,由于参考电压Vref是外供的一个电信号,因此,可根据实际需要对参考电压Vref进行任意值设定,例如,在本发明实施例中,参考信号Vref被赋予0值。此时,令α=C2/(C1+C2),则上式可化简如下:

由此可得,在后续通过驱动晶体管T4驱动发光器件EL发光时,驱动晶体管T4驱动发光器件EL发光的工作电流IEL为:

其中,K=μCox*W/L,μ为驱动晶体管T4的迁移率、Cox为单位面积栅氧化层电容,W/L为驱动晶体管T4的宽长比。因此,驱动晶体管T4驱动发光器件EL发光的工作电流IEL与数据信号Data的电压Vdata、驱动晶体管T4的阈值电压VT4-th、以及发光器件EL的阈值电压Voled-th有关,由于发光器件EL发生老化时,其阈值电压Voled-th会增大,从而使得发光器件EL发光的工作电流IEL增大,进而增强了老化区域发光器件EL的亮度,改善了显示面板发光不均匀的问题。
综上,通过内部补偿的方法,使得发光器件EL发光的工作电流IEL增大,进而增强了老化区域发光器件EL的亮度,改善了发光器件EL老化导致的显示面板发光不均匀的现象。
进一步地,还可以基于本发明实施例提供的图1b所示的电路,通过外部补偿的方法去捕捉驱动晶体管T4的阈值电压VT4-th,并将T1阶段数据线Data提供的数据信号Vdata的值增加至Vdata+VT4-th,则发光器件EL的工作电流IEL的公式变更为:

由此可得,驱动发光器件EL发光时的工作电流IEL仅与数据信号Data的数据信号Vdata、以及发光器件EL的阈值电压Voled-th有关,而与驱动晶体管T4的阈值电压VT4-th无关,从而可以解决由于驱动晶体管T4的工艺制程以及长时间的操作造成的阈值电压VT4-th漂移对驱动发光器件EL的工作电流的影响,从而使发光器件EL的工作电流保持稳定,进而保证了发光器件EL的正常工作,进一步增加了显示面板的发光均匀性。并且由于发光器件EL的工作电流IEL会受到发光器件EL的阈值电压Voled-th的影响,当发光器件EL发生老化时,其Voled-th会增加,导致电流IEL相应增大,进而可以实现发光器件EL的老化补偿。
值得注意的是,在感应线输出的参考信号Vref不为0时,则发光器件EL的工作电流IEL的公式变更为:

由公式(10)可知,驱动发光器件EL的工作电流IEL与参考信号Vref有关,于是,发光器件EL的工作电流IEL还可以通过感应线Sense输出的参考信号Vref进行控制,以实现发光器件EL的老化补偿。
此外,在本发明实施例提供的图1b所示的像素补偿电路中,感应线Sense可感应驱动晶体管T4向发光器件EL提供的工作电流IEL的变化。于是,还可基于感应线Sense可感应驱动晶体管T4向发光器件EL提供的工作电流IEL的变化,通过外部补偿增加Vdata的方式来实现老化补偿,提高显示面板的发光均匀性。
基于同一发明构思,本发明实施例还提供了一种显示面板,包括本发明实施例提供的上述任一种像素补偿电路。由于该显示面板解决问题的原理与前述一种像素补偿电路相似,因此该显示面板中的像素补偿电路的实施可以参见前述实例中像素补偿电路的实施,重复之处不再赘述。
基于同一发明构思,本发明实施例还提供了一种显示装置,包括本发明实施例提供的上述显示面板,该显示装置可以为:手机、平板电脑、电视机、显示面板、笔记本电脑、数码相框、导航仪、智能手表、健身腕带、个人数字助理等任何具有显示功能的产品或部件。对于显示装置的其它必不可少的组成部分均为本领域的普通技术人员应该理解具有的,在此不做赘述,也不应作为对本发明的限制。该显示装置的实施可以参见上述显示面板的实施例,重复之处不再赘述。

所述复位模块的第一控制端连接第一控制信号端,第二控制端连接第二控制信号端,第一输入端和第二输入端分别连接感应线,第一输出端连接第一节点,第二输出端连接第二节点;所述复位模块用于在所述第一控制信号端和所述第二控制信号端的控制下,将所述感应线输出的复位信号提供给所述第一节点和所述第二节点;
所述数据写入模块的控制端连接第三控制信号端,输入端连接数据线,输出端连接第三节点;所述数据写入模块用于在所述第三控制信号端的控制下,将所述数据线输出的数据信号提供给所述第三节点;
所述补偿模块的第一端与所述第一节点连接,第二端与所述第二节点连接,第三端与所述第三节点连接;所述补偿模块用于将所述发光器件的阈值电压提供给所述第三节点;

5.如权利要求1所述的像素补偿电路,其特征在于,所述驱动模块,包括:驱动晶体管;其中,
所述驱动晶体管的栅极连接所述第三节点,漏极连接所述第一电源端,源极连接所述第二节点。
6.如权利要求2-5任一项所述的像素补偿电路,其特征在于,所述第一开关晶体管、所述第二开关晶体管和所述第三开关晶体管,以及所述驱动晶体管均为N型晶体管。
7.一种显示面板,其特征在于,包括权利要求1-6任一项所述的像素补偿电路。
8.一种显示装置,其特征在于,包括权利要求7所述的显示面板。
9.一种如权利要求1-6任一项所述的像素补偿电路的驱动方法,其特征在于,包括:
第一数据写入阶段,复位模块在第二控制信号端的控制下,对补偿模块的第二端的电位进行复位;数据写入模块在第三控制信号端的控制下,将数据线输出的第一数据信号写入所述补偿模块;
补偿阶段,所述补偿模块将所述第一数据信号和发光器件的阈值电压提供给驱动模块的控制端;
复位阶段,所述复位模块在第一控制信号端的控制下,对所述补偿模块的第一端的电位进行复位;并在所述第二控制信号端的控制下,对所述驱动模块的输出端的电位进行复位;
发光阶段,所述驱动模块在所述发光器件的阈值电压和所述第一数据信号的共同控制下,驱动所述发光器件发光。
10.如权利要求9所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,在所述复位阶段,所述复位模块在第一控制信号端的控制下,对所述补偿模块的第一端的电位进行复位;并在所述第二控制信号端的控制下,对所述驱动模块的输出端的电位进行复位之后,且在所述发光阶段,所述驱动模块在所述发光器件的阈值电压和所述第一数据信号的共同控制下,驱动所述发光器件发光之前,还包括:
第二数据写入阶段,所述数据写入模块在所述第三控制信号端的控制下,将所述数据线输出的第二数据信号提供给所述驱动模块的控制端,其中,所述第二数据信号的电压等于所述第一数据信号的电压与所述驱动模块中驱动晶体管的阈值电压之和。
