Abstract

技术领域

背景技术
随着科技发展和对移动设备的需求增加,对使用二次电池作为能源的需求也迅速增加。在这些二次电池中,具有高能量密度和操作电位、长循环寿命以及低自放电速率的锂二次电池在市场上可得并广泛使用。
锂二次电池具有以下结构:其中包括正极、负极以及置于正极和负极之间的多孔隔板的电极组件浸入到包含锂盐的电解质溶液中,其中正极和负极各自通过将活性物质涂覆在电极集电器上来制备。在充电过程中,正极活性物质的锂离子溶解并嵌入到负极的活性物质层中。在放电过程中,活性物质层中的锂离子溶解并嵌入到正极活性物质中。电解质溶液充当在负极和正极之间转移锂离子的介质。
电解质溶液通常包括有机溶剂和电解质盐。例如,可通过将锂盐(例如LiPF6、LiBF4或LiClO4)添加到包括高介电环状碳酸酯(例如碳酸丙烯酯或碳酸乙烯酯)和低粘度链状碳酸酯(例如碳酸二乙酯、碳酸甲乙酯或碳酸二甲酯)的溶剂混合物中来制备电解质溶液。
然而,当铜箔用作负极集电器时,在锂二次电池过放电或锂二次电池暴露于高温环境中的情况下会出现铜离子(Cu2+)从铜集电器溶解到电解质溶液中的问题,并且这成为负极稳定性恶化的原因。
具体地,当锂二次电池过放电时,使得电池的电压变成0V,具有大的不可逆容量的负极的一侧的电压首先增加,并且当负极的一侧的电压达到约3.6V或更高的预定电压区域时,铜箔氧化,铜离子从铜箔溶解到电解质溶液中。
在充电过程期间溶解的铜离子沉淀回到负极的表面上的金属,并因此使负极的稳定性恶化。例如,沉淀的铜可在负极的表面上产生微小的短路,或者可干扰锂离子的嵌入,并因此可降低充电和放电容量。
作为解决这些问题的方法,专利文件1(KR 2006-0063749)公开了一种用于锂二次电池的电解质溶液,该电解质溶液包括由式AxMyOz(其中,A为选自由碱金属和碱土金属组成的组中的至少一种元素,M为选自由非金属、半金属和过渡金属组成的组中的至少一种元素,1≤x≤6,1≤y≤7,且2≤z≤24)表示的多组分金属氧化物盐,例如,诸如Li2MoO4、Li2WO4的金属氧化物盐作为添加剂。然而,当使用该方法时,虽然氧化初始电压稍有增加,但当锂二次电池置于高温时出现铜离子溶解的问题还是没能解决。
除了将新物质加入电解质溶液的方法之外,还可使用链接元件例如电极板或隔板的方法。例如,专利文件2(JP 2005-063764)公开了一种通过提供用于锂离子二次电池的铜箔来防止过放电过程期间铜溶解的方法,其中在铜箔的表面上形成铬基薄层。然而,该方法的过程复杂,并且该方法与将添加剂加入电解质的方法相比在成本方面并无成效。

根据一个实施方式,用于锂二次电池的电解质溶液在本发明的目标的范围内可进一步包括用于形成常规固体电解质界面(SEI)层的添加剂。可用于实施方式中的用于形成SEI层的添加剂的实例可包括碳酸亚乙烯酯、乙烯基碳酸乙烯酯、氟代碳酸乙烯酯、环状亚硫酸酯、饱和磺酸内酯、不饱和磺酸内酯和非环状砜,其可单独使用,或作为选自其中的至少两种的混合物使用,但实施方式并不限于此。

根据另一实施方式,提供了包含所述电解质溶液的锂二次电池。
通过将根据实施方式制备的电解质溶液注入包括正极、负极和置于正极与负极之间的隔板的电极组件来制备锂二次电池。此外,正极和负极可各自通过以下来制备:首先将活性物质、粘结剂和导电剂与溶解混合以制备浆料,然后涂覆、干燥并且将浆料挤压在集电器(例如铝)上。

此外,隔板的实例可包括单烯烃例如聚乙烯(PE)或聚丙烯(PP)或烯烃络合物、聚酰胺(PA)、聚丙烯腈(PAN)、聚环氧乙烷(PEO)、聚环氧丙烷(PPO)、聚乙二醇二丙烯酸酯(PEGA)、聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)、聚偏氟乙烯(PVdF)和聚氯乙烯(PVC)。
根据另一实施方式,虽然锂二次电池的形状没有限制,但形状的实例可包括使用罐的圆筒、盒、袋或硬币。
下文中,将参考下面的实施例详细描述实施方式。
<电解质溶液的制备>
实施例1
以3:7的重量比混合EC和EMC以制备有机溶剂。接着,将作为锂盐的LiPF6溶解于有机溶剂中以制备锂盐浓度为1M的LiPF6混合溶液。然后,基于按重量计100份的混合溶液,以按重量计0.1份的量将四乙基氰化铵添加至该混合溶液,因此制备电解质溶液。
实施例2
以与实施例1中相同的方式制备电解质溶液,不同的是,基于按重量计100份的混合溶液,以按重量计0.25份而非按重量计0.1份的量添加四乙基氰化铵。
对比例1
以与实施例1中相同的方式制备电解质溶液,不同的是不添加四乙基氰化铵。
对比例2
以与实施例1中相同的方式制备电解质溶液,不同的是添加按重量计0.25份的琥珀腈而非按重量计0.1份的四乙基氰化铵。
<电池的制备>
将作为正极活性物质的LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2、作为粘结剂的PVdF以及作为导电剂的炭黑以91.5:4.4:4.1的重量比混合以制备混合物,并且将该混合物分散于N-甲基-2-吡咯烷酮中以制备正极浆料。然后,将浆料涂覆在厚度为15μm的铝集电器上,并且将集电器干燥并辊压以制备正极。
此外,将作为负极活性物质的人造石墨、作为粘结剂的苯乙烯丁二烯橡胶和作为粘度增强剂的羧甲基纤维素以96:2:2的重量比混合以制备混合物,并且将该混合物分散于水中以制备负极浆料。将负极浆料涂覆在厚度为10μm的铜集电器上,并且将集电器干燥并辊压以制备负极。
随后,将作为隔板的多孔聚乙烯层(获自Tonen)与正极和负极一起使用,并将电解质溶液注入其中,从而完成硬币电池的制造。
<评价方法>
(1)光吸收测量
在45℃下将直径为16mm的具有相同面积的负极放置在实施例1和2与对比例1和2中制备的各电解质溶液中24小时,然后使用紫外可见(UV-Vis)分光光度计(Agilent 8453)测量电解质溶液的吸光度。定量地显示出Cu2+的吸收峰的800nm的吸光度示于表1中,并且实施例1和2与对比例1和2的UV-Vis曲线示于图1中。高吸光度代表大量的铜离子溶解在电解质溶液中。

参照表1,可知,当使用根据实施例方式的实施例1和2中制备的电解质溶液时,与不包含添加剂的对比例1的相比,有效抑制了铜溶解。尤其,即使当以痕量(按重量计0.1份和按重量计0.25份)使用四乙基氰化铵(其为固体盐添加剂)时,也有效抑制了铜溶解,因此固体盐添加剂是优选的。另一方面,在对比例2的情况下,添加按重量计0.25份的量的琥珀腈,可知吸光度与对比例1的吸光度相比下降了,但没有从根本上抑制铜溶解。
(2)电池形成
将通过使用实施例1和对比例2的电解质溶液制备的硬币电池放置在25℃的恒温下12小时,使用锂二次电池充电器/放电器(TOSCAT-3600,获自Toyo-System Co.,LTD),在包括以下的条件下充电:0.1C的恒流直到电压为4.3V以及具有0.05C的端电流的恒压,并且在包括以下的条件下放电:0.1C的恒流直到电压为3.0V,从而完成电池形成过程。
(3)充/放电效率和高温寿命特性(%)
将完成上述形成过程的电池在包括以下的条件下充电:0.5C的恒流直到电压为4.3V以及具有0.05C的端电流的恒压,并在包括以下的条件下放电:0.5C的恒流直到电压为3.0V。然后,测量第一次循环的充电容量(CH,单位:mAh/g)和放电容量(DCH,单位:mAh/g),并且将在这些条件下的充/放电测试在45℃下重复50次。根据下面的等式计算充/放电效率(EFF)和容量保持率,结果示于表2中。

第50次循环的容量保持率[%]=(第50次循环的放电容量/第1次循环的放电容量)×100

参照表2,当使用包含实施例1中制备的电解质溶液的硬币电池时,可确认在高温条件(45℃)下的放电容量、充/放电效率和循环特性,与根据对比例2制备的电池的那些相比得到改善。

Claims (7)
1.一种用于锂二次电池的电解质溶液,所述电解质溶液包括:
锂盐;和
有机溶剂,
其中所述电解质溶液进一步包括固体盐,所述固体盐由铵类阳离子和氰根阴离子(CN-)组成,并且所述铵类阳离子由式1表示:

其中,在式1中,R1至R4各自独立地为氢、卤素或C1-C8烷基,并且
其中,基于按重量计100份的所述锂盐和所述有机溶剂的总重量,所述固体盐的量在按重量计0.01份至按重量计5.0份的范围内。
2.如权利要求1所述的电解质溶液,其中所述固体盐为选自由下列组成的组中的至少一种:氰化铵、四甲基氰化铵、四乙基氰化铵、四丙基氰化铵、四丁基氰化铵、四己基氰化铵、四庚基氰化铵、乙基三甲基氰化铵、三乙基甲基氰化铵、丁基三甲基氰化铵、二乙基二甲基氰化铵和二丁基二甲基氰化铵。
3.如权利要求1所述的电解质溶液,其中,所述锂盐的阴离子为选自由下列组成的组中的一种:F-、Cl-、Br-、I-、NO3 -、N(CN)2 -、BF4 -、ClO4 -、PF6 -、(CF3)2PF4 -、(CF3)3PF3 -、(CF3)4PF2 -、(CF3)5PF-、(CF3)6P-、CF3SO3 -、CF3CF2SO3 -、(CF3SO2)2N-、(FSO2)2N-、CF3CF2(CF3)2CO-、(CF3SO2)2CH-、(SF5)3C-、(CF3SO2)3C-、CF3(CF2)7SO3 -、CF3CO2 -、CH3CO2 -、SCN-和(CF3CF2SO2)2N-。
4.如权利要求1所述的电解质溶液,其中,所述有机溶剂为选自由下列组成的组中的至少一种:醚、酯和酰胺。
5.如权利要求4所述的电解质溶液,其中,所述酯为线性碳酸酯或环状碳酸酯。
6.如权利要求1所述的电解质溶液,进一步包括选自下述中的至少一种:碳酸亚乙烯酯、乙烯基碳酸乙二酯、氟代碳酸乙二酯、环状亚硫酸酯、饱和磺酸内酯、不饱和磺酸内酯和非环状砜。
7.一种锂二次电池,其包含如权利要求1至6中任一项所述的电解质溶液。
