与大多数电动混合动力车辆的传动系架构相反,本发明中的电机永久地连接到发动机曲轴。因此,当发动机不运行时,电机不能并且不需要驱动车辆。电机仅需要是在尺寸和功率上与交流发电机相当的小型紧凑单元,并且电池可以类似地相对较小,因为不需要在任何显著距离上为车辆的运动提供动力。
辅助机器的功能是使发动机扭矩输出与切换带内的扭矩需求匹配,切换带的内部和外部阈值被设计成使切换频率最小化。电机还使得发动机在该带内能够被经济地供给燃料,即使扭矩需求可能在VDE模式有效的操作范围之外。
有利地,第一和第二阈值中的至少一个可以根据能量存储装置的荷电状态而变化。
在各种现有技术参照文献(例如US 8,464,690)中已经提出,在具有不同传动系结构的电动混合动力车辆中,在VDE和正常模式之间的变化期间使用电动马达以平滑过渡。这种混合动力车辆与本发明的不同之处在于,不存在这样的带,其中电机不断地操作以使发动机扭矩与扭矩需求相匹配。

具体实施方式
使用本发明的方法控制的车辆传动系的架构在图4中示出。发动机10通过离合器12连接到变速器14,变速器14又连接到驱动轮16。
在混合动力车辆的不同已知架构中,电动马达连接到离合器12下游的变速器的输入侧或输出侧,以使得驱动轮能够由发动机、电动马达或二者驱动。
相反,在本发明中,辅助机器18永久地连接到发动机10,即离合器12的上游,使得辅助机器18总是与发动机10一起转动,并且两者不能独立地操作。
辅助机器和发动机曲轴之间的连接可以在发动机的任一端发生,以适应发动机舱内的包装要求。
本发明特别适用于较小的发动机,并且在图4中,发动机10是三缸四冲程火花点火发动机,其中一个气缸可被停用。然而,发动机可以具有任何数量的气缸,并且发动机可以是柴油机并且可以以两冲程循环操作。
在本发明中,气缸停用的方法也不重要,但是希望在切换到VDE模式时不总是停用相同的气缸。
变速器14可以是手动的或自动的,在后一种情况下,离合器12可以由变矩器代替。
辅助机器18是连接到用作能量存储装置20的电池的马达/发电机。或者,辅助机器18可以是连接到用作能量存储装置的储存器的压缩空气泵/马达。
在图1中,存在限定VDE范围的尖锐边界,并且汽缸停用范围在所有侧上被限制为单个阈值。每当车辆在VDE范围的边界附近操作时,发动机转速或扭矩的小变化将导致模式切换。因此,模式改变可以频繁地发生,并且这具有不希望的NVH(噪声、振动、粗糙性)效应,这对驾驶员来说是令人不安的并且导致增加的发动机磨损和降低的发动机耐用性。
为了减轻这个问题,本发明的方法定义围绕VDE范围的带30,带30在图2中以阴影示出并且由内部阈值Tin和外部阈值Tout限制。在发动机工作点完全位于带30之外之前,不会发生从VDE模式到正常模式的切换,直到发动机工作点位于Tin内,才从正常模式切换到VDE模式。
操作模式之间的转换发生在带30内,在该带内辅助机器发挥作用以修改由发动机10施加到变速器14的扭矩。
如果发动机工作点在正常模式下达到外部阈值Tout,则发动机工作点不切换到VDE模式,而是保持在正常模式。此时,辅助机器被接通以用作发电机。这减小了传递到驱动轮的扭矩,并且同时对电池再充电。仅当扭矩需求达到内部阈值Tin时,发动机切换到VDE模式。
如果现在发动机工作点应当再次返回到带30,则不恢复正常模式。相反,辅助机器18用作电动机并且使用源自电池的能量来补充发动机的输出功率。
通过使用两个不同的阈值而不是仅一个阈值来确定是否在操作模式之间切换,本发明允许切换的频率显著减小,切换速率的减小随着带的宽度而增加。此外,通过在VDE模式下补充发动机的输出功率,该方法增加了通过气缸停用获得效率提高的范围。
本发明的方法通过图3的流程图进一步解释,图3的流程图示出了由软件程序所采取用以确定发动机操作模式以及辅助机器是否用作马达或发电机的决策。
可以看出,流程图关于中心线对称,左侧表示在VDE模式下的操作,右侧表示在正常模式下的操作。
假定发动机在VDE模式下运行,则在判定框110中首先确定发动机工作点在阈值Tin内。所示的边界Tin可以由四个矢量限定,并且在这种情况下,可以使用简单的数学算法来确定工作点是否位于边界内。然而,VDE范围可以具有根据经验确定的任何期望的不规则形状,在这种情况下,可以使用二维查找表来确定发动机工作点是否在Tin内。
如果在判定框112中确定工作点已经超过阈值Tin,则在框112中进一步判定工作点是否位于带30内,即阈值Tout是否尚未被超过。如果是这种情况,则保持气缸停用模式,但是在框114中,辅助机器118作为马达操作以补充发动机输出功率。
如果在框112中确定阈值Tout也已经超过,则控制系统在框116中仅指示发动机恢复到正常模式。
当发动机在流程图的右手侧以正常模式操作,并且它从任何方向接近VDE范围时,要越过的第一阈值将是阈值Tout。这在判定框120中确定。
在已经确定外部阈值Tout已经被越过之后,判定框122确定发动机是否在带30内或在内部阈值Tin内操作。如果以带30操作,则在框124中辅助机器接通作为发电机,以对电池充电并减少传递到从动轮的动力。当最终越过内部阈值Tin时,控制系统在框126中指示发动机改变到VDE模式。
Claims (3)
1.一种控制具有传动系的车辆的方法,所述传动系包含具有通过变速器连接到所述车辆的驱动轮的曲轴的可变排量发动机以及直接连接到所述发动机曲轴并且连接到能量存储装置的辅助机器,在所述方法中,当扭矩需求和发动机转速位于由第一阈值(Tout)限定的外部范围之外时,发动机模式从气缸禁用(VDE)模式切换到正常模式,并且当所述扭矩需求和所述发动机转速位于在所述外部范围内并且由第二阈值(Tin)限定的内部范围内时,所述发动机模式从所述正常模式切换到所述气缸禁用(VDE)模式,并且其中,当在位于所述第一阈值和所述第二阈值之间的所述扭矩需求和所述发动机转速的带内操作时,如果在所述气缸禁用(VDE)模式下操作,则所述辅助机器从所述能量存储装置汲取能量并且补充来自所述发动机的输出扭矩,以及如果所述发动机在所述正常模式下操作,则所述辅助机器从所述发动机曲轴得到扭矩以对所述能量存储装置再充电。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述辅助机器是能够选择性地作为马达和发电机操作的电机,并且所述能量存储装置是电池。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的方法,其中所述第一阈值和所述第二阈值中的至少一个可根据所述能量存储装置的荷电状态变化。
