Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及用于结合填料片和方法和设备。
背景技术
众所周知,当片材被良好地结合在一起时,膜式冷却塔填料组件(fill pack)更坚固且更容易安装。一些填料片结合技术包括化学焊接、按扣、杆、螺钉、钉子和热结合。化学焊接是最常见的并且通常也是最坚固的,但是需要使用溶剂和熔融时段来使结合固化。由于溶剂限制和使组件固化所需的极限时间量,化学焊接通常在与安装不同的位置进行。按扣可以在安装现场使用,但结合部很容易脱离。杆、螺钉和钉子需要将额外的部件添加到组件中,这增加了成本。这些结合部也不如化学焊接那么坚固。在本发明之前,热结合难以实现令人满意的结合。现有的方法也难以到达组件中的内部结合部位,从而导致不牢固的组件。本发明克服了现场结合的当前限制,并且产生了不需要溶剂的工厂结合。
发明内容
本文提出的方法通过允许多个片材在片材后面没有任何背衬的情况下堆叠结合而与其它方法区别开。这是通过实施隔热衬套以及空气脉冲来实现,其中隔热衬套在结合部位熔融时保持片材,并且空气脉冲在端头退回时迫使片材在一起。现有工艺只能一次完全接合两张片材。这两个片材构件然后仅通过边缘彼此附接。而我们的发明为堆叠体中的每个片材提供了全场结合部位。
根据本发明的实施例,使用热结合装置将填料片热焊接在一起。专用结合端头设计提供了一种产生半球形结合的方法和装置,所述半球形结合用以在不需要背衬模具的情况下将两个填料片结合在一起,从而允许以任何厚度形成填料组件,且到达组件内的每一个结合部位。
因此,根据本发明提供了一种热结合方法,其具有如下步骤:
a.将交替的膜填料片布置在堆叠体上;
b.将半球形的结合端头加热至所述填料片的熔点;
c.将所述结合端头沿竖向下降到所述填料片的结合部位上,直至弹簧被压缩;
d.等待规定时间量,以使所述端头熔入到所述填料片中直到所述隔热衬套;
e.所述隔热衬套提供刚性止挡以定位所述结合端头;
f.通过所述结合端头提供空气脉冲,所述空气脉冲将熔融的片材推压在一起;并且
g.从所述结合部去除结合端头,从而所述结合可以冷却。
不同的填料片厚度、环境温度和塑料改变熔融时间。根据优选实施例,在65°F-85°F的空气温度下,对于10mil PVC,可以使用5-10秒的熔融时间。
该方法可以通过对每个步骤使用规定持续时间来执行,并且一些步骤可以同时发生。根据一个实施例,放置、加热和下降均同时发生。另外,空气脉冲步骤可以与移去同时发生。该方法可以通过使特定压力和持续时间的空气通过端头而可使结合部位“鼓出”来执行。空气的压力和持续时间取决于材料厚度、塑料类型和环境温度。根据一个实施例,60psi可以施加到空气歧管,并且结合部位处的压力在约1秒内在1-20psi之间变化。
根据本发明的另一实施例,可以提供一种热结合装置,其具有:
a.延伸通过隔热衬套的半球形的结合端头;
b.加热器部件,用以提供将所述结合端头加热到接近所述填料片的熔点的水平所需的温度;
c.弹簧机构,所述弹簧机构附连到所述结合端头以提供阻力;
d.滑动机构,所述滑动机构允许所述结合端头在竖向上移动;和
e.空气导管,所述空气导管将空气脉冲提供到结合区域;
根据另外实施例,该装置可具有船体形端头。根据另外实施例,该装置可以设有对结合端头提供阻尼的配重。根据另外实施例,所述装置可以提供有不同的隔热衬套形状。根据一个实施例,所述衬套可以是3/8″的外径和1/4″的内径。所述衬套可以从所例示的“管”形状变化为椭圆形形状,以在异形填料几何结构中提供更大的隔热器表面积。
本发明可结合所有塑料填料材料使用,以及结合逆流填料设计和横流填料设计使用。

具体实施方式
图1示出了填料结合装置的主要部件。两种不同的片材类型,即A型和B型,被分别装载到进料盘1和2上。门架3水平移动以交替地拾取片材类型A和B,并将其放置在填料堆叠4上。真空夹盘5、6将片材从堆叠1、2移去。当片材被放置在填料堆叠4上时,热结合端头7的阵列将片材焊接在一起。
图2示出了热结合装置的主要部件。
半球形端头10延伸通过隔离器和保持衬套20。加热部件30向端头10提供热。空气通道40延伸穿过加热部件30和杆50,以提供到端头10的、用于加压空气的导管。杆50在竖向上延伸穿过滑动衬套60,以允许加热部件、端头和杆的竖向移动。弹簧70提供对端头10的移动的竖向力阻尼。轴环80固定到端头10,并且对端头的运动提供刚性竖向止挡。热感测装置90提供反馈以控制端头10的温度。
图3示出了热结合设备的轴测图。
图4a是填料结合装置的立视图,示出了操作序列中的起始位置,其中部件如图1中标记。
图4b示出了同时提升堆叠托盘4和片材类型A的进料托盘1。片材类型A被装载到门架3中,并且通过真空夹盘5保持就位。
图4c示出了当片材类型A处于装载位置时,同时降低片材类型A进料托盘1和堆叠托盘4。
图4d示出将门架3移动到片材类型B装载位置和片材类型A堆叠放置位置。
图4e示出同时提升堆叠托盘4和片材类型B的进料托盘2。片材类型B被装载到门架3中,并且通过真空夹盘5保持就位。片材类型A由真空夹盘释放,并放置在堆叠托盘4上。
图4f示出了当片材类型B处于装载位置时,同时降低片材类型B进料托盘2和堆叠托盘4。
图4g示出了将门架3移动到片材类型A结合位置和片材类型B堆叠放置位置。
图4h示出同时升高堆叠托盘4和片材类型A进料托盘1。片材类型A被装载到门架3中,并且通过真空夹盘5保持就位。片材类型A和片材类型B在堆叠托盘4上结合在一起。这是与图4b中所示相同的位置,区别在于正在进行结合。

图5a示出了在填料堆叠向上移动时,刚好与填料堆叠接触的结合端头。结合端头被加热。这发生在机器的位置8中。
图5b示出了在填料堆叠继续向上移动时,被向上推的结合端头。这压缩弹簧,并且在结合端头上施加向下压力。
图5c示出了在片材被加热时,加热后的结合端头向下延伸到填料堆叠的结合点中。在该步骤期间,随着端头向下“熔融”到结合部位中,弹簧部分地解压,而仍保持在所述结合上的压力。保持衬套20防止结合端头推进到填料堆叠中太远。
图5d示出了结合加热循环的结束。在此,所述结合被熔融在一起。随着填料堆叠被降低,通过端头注入空气流,用以将片材推动在一起并提高结合强度。这种空气流还有助于在不粘结情况下将端头从结合部位推出。还可以提供“鼓出”结合部以增强所述结合,其中在注入空气时,熔融的结合部位被吹成部分气泡形状。气泡在结合部的底部较大,以防止其脱出。也可能发生一些瞬时冷却,用以使结合部固化。
图5e是最后一步,并且对应于机器循环中的位置1。端头已完全从结合部位移除,并且允许该部位冷却。
Claims (7)
1.一种热结合方法,包括:
将交替的膜填料片布置在堆叠体上;
将半球形的结合端头加热至所述填料片的熔点;
将所述结合端头沿竖向下降到所述填料片的结合部位上;
等待规定时间量,以使所述端头熔入到所述填料片中规定深度;
通过所述结合端头提供空气脉冲,用以将熔融的片材推压在一起;以及
将所述结合端头从结合部移去。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中每个步骤具有规定的持续时间,并且其中一些步骤同时发生。
3.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中通过所述端头提供具有指定压力和持续时间的空气脉冲,使所述结合部位“鼓出”。
4.一种热结合装置,包括:
延伸通过隔热衬套的半球形的结合端头;
加热器部件,所述加热器部件用以提供将所述结合端头加热到接近填料片的熔点的水平所需的温度;
弹簧机构,所述弹簧机构附连到所述结合端头以提供阻力;
滑动机构,所述滑动机构允许所述结合端头在竖向上移动;和
空气导管,所述空气导管将空气脉冲提供到结合区域。
5.根据权利要求4所述的装置,进一步包括船体形端头。
6.根据权利要求4所述的装置,进一步包括对所述结合端头提供阻尼的配重。
7.根据权利要求4所述的装置,包括非圆柱形的隔热衬套形状。
