Description

Saddle-riding type vehicle
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a saddle-riding type vehicle.
Background
Conventionally, as shown in patent document 1, for example, a saddle-ride type vehicle is known which includes an internal combustion engine (21), an intake passage for guiding intake air to a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine (21), and an air cleaner device (50) provided in the intake passage and purifying the intake air by means of a unit (52) provided inside the intake passage.
The air cleaner device (50) is provided with an upper casing (54) and a casing main body (53), wherein the upper casing (54) forms a clean room (62) on the downstream side of the unit (52), the casing main body (53) is mounted on the upper casing (54) in a manner of covering the opening of the upper casing (54) and the unit (52), and a dirty room (61) is formed on the upstream side of the unit (52).
A lower case (55) covered from below is attached to the case main body (53), and an auxiliary air chamber (63) is formed, and the auxiliary air chamber (63) communicates with the clean room (62).
According to the air cleaner device (54), the capacity of the clean room can be increased by providing an auxiliary air chamber (63) that communicates with the clean room (62).
That is, when the air cleaner device is made large in size in the vehicle width direction as in the conventional saddle-ride type vehicle, the capacity increase can be achieved by a slight amount of expansion by utilizing the dead space below.
However, in a vehicle in which the air cleaner device is not provided with a large dimension in the vehicle width direction, it is necessary to expand the left, right, front, rear, and up-down dimensions of the air cleaner device to the maximum limit.
On the other hand, however, the expansion of the air cleaner device may affect the vehicle width and height of the vehicle, and may affect the ride quality (particularly, the foot-drop quality).

Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a saddle-ride type vehicle that can reduce the effect on ride quality and increase the filter capacity.
Means for solving the problems
In order to solve the above problem, a saddle-riding type vehicle according to the present invention,
a saddle-riding type vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine, an intake passage for guiding intake air to a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and an air cleaner device provided in the intake passage and purifying the intake air by means provided inside the intake passage,
the air cleaner device is provided with: a housing main body forming a clean room at a downstream side of the unit; a housing cover mounted to the housing body so as to cover the opening of the housing body and the unit, the housing cover forming a non-clean room on an upstream side of the unit;
the shell body is provided with an upper shell and a lower shell which are vertically divided by a dividing surface,
the lower shell is formed such that the opening area becomes larger as the dividing plane is directed upward from below as viewed from the front of the vehicle,
the upper case is formed such that the opening area becomes smaller as viewed from the front of the vehicle, as it goes upward from the dividing surface.
According to the saddle riding type vehicle, the case body includes the upper case and the lower case which are vertically divided by the dividing surface, the lower case is formed such that the opening area becomes larger as the dividing surface is directed upward from below when viewed from the front of the vehicle, and the upper case is formed such that the opening area becomes smaller as the opening area is directed upward from the dividing surface when viewed from the front of the vehicle, so that the opening area of the case body becomes the largest at the dividing surface portion.
Therefore, by setting the position of the dividing surface of the case body in accordance with the space of the peripheral layout of the air cleaner device, the cleaning capacity can be increased appropriately.
Further, since the upper case is formed such that the opening area becomes smaller as viewed from the front of the vehicle, the width of the upper portion of the air cleaner device can be reduced.
Therefore, the influence on the ride quality (footability) can be reduced.
As described above, according to the saddle riding type vehicle, the filter capacity can be increased while reducing the influence on the riding quality.
In the saddle-ride type vehicle, it is possible to configure,
the air cleaner is disposed below the front portion of a seat for a vehicle, and upper portions of a pair of vehicle body covers covering both left and right sides below the front portion of the seat are disposed adjacent to left and right side surfaces of the upper case below the front portion of the seat.
With this configuration, even when the air cleaner device is disposed below the front portion of the seat, the upper portions of the pair of vehicle body covers covering the left and right sides below the front portion of the seat are disposed below the front portion of the seat in proximity to the left and right side surfaces of the upper case, the width of which is narrowed upward, and as a result, the width of the upper portions of the vehicle body covers can be narrowed, and the width of the front portion of the seat can be narrowed, so that the foot drop performance can be improved.
In the saddle-ride type vehicle, it is possible to configure,
the vehicle body frame is disposed laterally so as to sandwich the case body in the left and right directions, and a split surface of the upper case and the lower case is located above the vehicle body frame.
In the vehicle body according to the present invention, the housing body is formed by a plurality of divided surfaces, and the divided surfaces are located above the vehicle body frame.
In the saddle-ride type vehicle, it is possible to configure,
the vehicle body frame has inclined portions extending obliquely rearward and upward on the left and right of the case main body below the seat, and the split surfaces of the upper case and the lower case are inclined in the same direction as the inclined portions of the vehicle body frame when the vehicle is viewed from the side.
When thus configured, the opening area of the case main body can be effectively increased in a state along the inclined portion of the frame.
In the saddle-ride type vehicle, it is possible to configure,
the combination mechanism at the left and right side surfaces of the upper shell and the lower shell is composed of a clamping flat claw and a clamping buckle.
With this configuration, the width of the case main body can be reduced by suppressing the amount of lateral projection of the coupling portion, as compared with the case where the upper case and the lower case are coupled by a fastening member or the like.
In the saddle-ride type vehicle, it is possible to configure,
the air cleaner is provided only on the front and rear surfaces of the air cleaner with respect to the mounting portion of the vehicle body frame.
With this configuration, the width dimension of the air cleaner device can be reduced by the amount of the side surface portion without the mounting portion.
In the saddle-ride type vehicle, it is possible to configure,
a holding part for a wire harness or a fuel pipe is provided on a side surface of the housing main body.
With this configuration, when the wire harness or the fuel pipe is arranged on the side of the housing main body, the wire harness or the fuel pipe can be arranged close to the housing main body, and thus the width dimension including the wire harness or the fuel pipe can be reduced.
In the saddle-ride type vehicle, it is possible to configure,
the casing cover is provided with a suction duct extending from the upper surface of the casing cover to the outside of the casing cover in a plan view,
in the suction duct, an intake cross section of a portion located on an upper surface of the casing cover is formed in a horizontally long elliptical shape.
With this configuration, even when the suction duct is disposed on the upper surface of the housing cover, the height of the air cleaner device can be suppressed, and the foot-drop performance can be optimized.
Further, since the intake duct extends from the upper surface of the casing cover to the outside of the casing cover in plan view, the intake cross section does not necessarily have to be formed in a horizontally long elliptical shape in the extending portion, and the intake port area can be secured.
In the saddle-ride type vehicle, it is possible to configure,
the upper and lower cases are formed by molding, and side walls of the upper and lower cases are both expanded in a tapered shape toward the dividing surface.
With this configuration, the side walls of the upper case and the lower case are formed with a draft, and thus molding is facilitated.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, embodiments of a saddle-ride type vehicle according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description, front-rear, left-right, and up-down are shown in the drawings with the front of the vehicle Fr, the rear Rr, the left L, the right R, the upper U, and the lower D as necessary, in accordance with the direction viewed from the operator. In the drawings, the same reference numerals are given to the same or equivalent portions.
The saddle-ride type vehicle 10 shown in fig. 1 includes: an internal combustion engine 11, an intake passage 12 for introducing intake air into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine 11, and an air cleaner device 20 provided in the intake passage 12 and purifying the intake air by means of a unit 21 (fig. 3 and 4) provided therein.
A head pipe 13h is provided at a front portion of the vehicle body frame 13, and a front wheel Wf is rotatably supported on the head pipe 13h via a front fork 14. The front wheel Wf is steered by a handlebar 15 rotatably supported by the head pipe 13 h.
A pair of right and left seat rails 13r extending diagonally rearward are provided at the rear portion of the vehicle body frame 13, and a seat 16 for riding is provided at an upper portion of the seat rails 13 r.
Wr is a rear wheel driven by the internal combustion engine 11.
The rider grips the handlebar 15, sits on the seat 16 in such a manner as to straddle the seat 16, places his feet on the pedals 16s, and steers the vehicle 10.
The vehicle 10 can be used for two persons, and 16p is a pedal for the fellow passenger.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the air cleaner device 20 includes a casing main body 22 and a casing cover 50, the casing main body 22 forms a clean room C on the downstream side of the unit 21, the casing cover 50 is attached to the casing main body 22 so as to cover the opening 22a of the casing main body 22 and the unit 21, and forms an unclean room D on the upstream side of the unit 21.
The case body 22 includes an upper case 30 and a lower case 40 divided vertically by a dividing surface 22 d.
As shown in fig. 3, the lower case 40 is formed such that the opening area increases as the dividing surface 22d is directed upward from below when viewed from the front of the vehicle. In other words, the lower housing 40 is generally bowl-shaped.
As shown in fig. 3, the upper case 30 is formed such that the opening area decreases upward from the dividing surface 22d when viewed from the front of the vehicle. In other words, the upper case 30 is substantially in the shape of an inverted bowl (bowl with an opening facing downward).
The opening area is an area of a region in the case (defined by the case inner wall surface) of a horizontally extending surface.
According to the saddle riding type vehicle 10, the case body 22 includes the upper case 30 and the lower case 40 which are vertically divided by the dividing surface 22d, the lower case 40 is formed such that the opening area increases as the dividing surface 22d extends upward from below when viewed from the front of the vehicle, and the upper case 30 is formed such that the opening area decreases as the dividing surface 22d extends upward from when viewed from the front of the vehicle, so that the opening area of the case body 22 is maximized at the dividing surface 22 d.
Therefore, by setting the position of the dividing surface 22d of the case body 22 in accordance with the space of the peripheral layout of the air cleaner device 20, the cleaning capacity can be increased appropriately.
Further, since the upper case 30 is formed such that the opening area becomes smaller as it goes upward from the divided surface 22d when viewed from the front of the vehicle, the width W1 (fig. 3) on the upper side of the air cleaner device 20 can be made smaller.
Therefore, the influence on the ride quality (footability) can be reduced.
As described above, according to the saddle-ride type vehicle 10, the filter capacity can be increased while reducing the influence on the ride quality.
As shown in fig. 1, 3, and 5, the air cleaner 20 is disposed below the front portion of the seat 16 for the riding, and upper portions 17u of a pair of vehicle body covers 17 covering both left and right sides of the lower portion of the front portion of the seat are disposed adjacent to left and right side surfaces 31 of the upper case 30 below the front portion of the seat (see fig. 3).
With this configuration, even when the air cleaner device 20 is disposed below the front portion of the seat 16 as in the saddle-ride type vehicle 10 shown in the figure, the upper portions 17u of the pair of vehicle body covers 17 covering both the left and right sides below the front portion of the seat are disposed below the front portion of the seat so as to be adjacent to the left and right side surfaces 31 of the upper case 30 whose width is narrowed upward, and as a result, the width W2 (fig. 3) between the upper portions 17u of the vehicle body covers 17 can be narrowed, and the width W3 of the front portion of the seat can be narrowed, and the foot-drop performance can be improved.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the vehicle body frame 13(13s) is disposed laterally so as to sandwich the case body 22 in the left and right directions, and the split surfaces 22d of the upper case 30 and the lower case 40 are located above the vehicle body frame 13(13 s).
With this configuration, the dividing surface 22d having the largest width dimension in the case main body 22 is positioned above the vehicle body frame 13(13s), and the vehicle body frame 13 can be reduced in width dimension to achieve a reduction in the vehicle width direction.
As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the vehicle body frame 13 has inclined portions 13s extending obliquely rearward and upward on the left and right of the case main body 22 below the seat 16, and as shown in fig. 2, the split surfaces 22d of the upper case 30 and the lower case 40 are inclined in the same direction as the inclined portions 13s of the vehicle body frame when the vehicle is viewed from the side.
With this configuration, the opening area of the case main body 22 can be effectively increased in a state along the inclined portion 13s of the frame.
As shown in fig. 2 and 6 to 8, the coupling mechanism at the left and right side surfaces of the upper case 30 and the lower case 40 is constituted by the engaging flat claws 32 and the engaging buckles 42.
With such a configuration, the width of the case main body 22 can be reduced by suppressing the amount of lateral projection of the coupling portion, as compared with the case where the upper case 30 and the lower case 40 are coupled by a fastening member or the like.
As shown in fig. 4 and 6 to 8, the mounting portions 23f, 23r of the air cleaner device 20 to the vehicle body frame 13 are provided only on the front and rear surfaces of the air cleaner device 20.
With this configuration, the width dimension of the air cleaner device 20 can be reduced by the amount of the side surface portion without the mounting portion.
As shown in fig. 6 to 8, the front-side mounting portion 23f is integrally provided in the lower case 40, and is fastened and coupled to a stay 13t provided in the vehicle body frame 13 as shown in fig. 4.
As shown in fig. 7 and 8, the rear-side mounting portion 23r includes a pair of left and right lower arms 23r1 integrally provided on the lower case 40, and an upper arm 23r2 integrally provided on the lower case 40 between the pair of left and right lower arms 23r1, and is supported by the cross member 13c so as to sandwich the cross member 13c of the vehicle body frame 13 between the upper arm 23r2 and the lower arms 23r1 and 23r1, as shown in fig. 4.
The upper arm 23r2 also constitutes a fastening portion with the upper case 30. In fig. 4 and 7, reference numeral 30b denotes a fastening bolt.
As shown in fig. 6 to 8, wire harness and fuel pipe holding portions 24 and 25 are provided on the side surface of the casing main body 22. In this embodiment, the harness holding part 24 and the fuel pipe holding part 25 are provided, but either one may be provided.
With such a configuration, as shown in fig. 2 and 3, when the harness 60 and/or the fuel pipe 61 are arranged on the side of the housing main body 22, the harness 60 and/or the fuel pipe 61 can be arranged close to the housing main body 22, and thus the width dimension including the harness 60 and/or the fuel pipe 61 can be reduced.
In this embodiment, the harness holding portion 24 is integrally provided on the front and rear of the upper right portion of the lower case 40, and the fuel pipe holding portion 25 is integrally provided on the front and rear of the upper left portion of the lower case 40.
In fig. 1, 2, and 5, reference numeral 63 denotes a fuel tank, and the fuel pipe 61 supplies fuel from the fuel tank 63 to the fuel injector 64.
As shown in fig. 6 to 8, the housing cover 50 is provided with a suction duct 70 extending to the outside of the housing cover 50 when viewed from the top surface 51 of the housing cover 50 in plan view.
As shown in fig. 8(b) and (c), the intake cross section of the portion 71 of the intake duct 70 located on the upper surface 51 of the housing cover 50 is in the shape of a horizontally long ellipse.
With this configuration, even when the intake duct 70 is disposed on the upper surface of the housing cover 50, the height of the air cleaner device 20 can be suppressed, and the foot-drop performance can be optimized.
Further, since the intake duct 70 extends from the upper surface 51 of the casing cover 50 to the outside of the casing cover 50 in plan view, the intake cross section does not necessarily have to be formed in a horizontally long elliptical shape in the extending portion 72, and the intake port area can be secured.
In this embodiment, as shown in fig. 2 and 7, the shape of the air inlet 73 is circular.
The upper case 30 and the lower case 40 are formed by die molding. As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the side walls 33 and 43 of the upper case 30 and the lower case 40 are both tapered toward the dividing surface 22 d.
With this configuration, the side walls 33 and 43 of the upper case 30 and the lower case 40 are formed with a draft, and thus molding is easy.
As shown in fig. 6 to 8, the upper case 30 is fastened and fixed to the lower case 40 at the front and rear portions thereof by bolts 30 b. As described above, the left and right sides are coupled by the engaging flat claws 32 provided integrally with the upper case 30 and the engaging catches 42 provided integrally with the lower case 40.
The housing cover 50 is fastened and fixed to the upper housing 30 by bolts 50 b.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the unit 21 is held between the upper case 30 and the case cover 50 such that the flange 21f provided on the outer periphery of the frame 21b of the unit 21 is sandwiched from above and below by the groove portion 54 provided on the lower side of the case cover 50 and the groove portion 34 provided on the upper side of the upper case 30.
The lower case 40 is provided with a cylindrical portion 44 to which a breather pipe 65 (fig. 3) from the crankcase of the engine 11 is connected, and an oil mist removing portion 45 is formed between the cylindrical portion 44 and the clean room C.
As shown in fig. 6 to 8, a resonator 67 is provided in an intake pipe 66 connecting the lower case 40 and the engine 11.
The embodiments of the present invention have been described above, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and can be modified as appropriate within the scope of the present invention.
