Abstract

本发明提供一种AMOLED显示屏驱动方法及驱动电路。驱动方法包括检测AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目;当AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况;根据在预设时间段内预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化;将补偿后的数据信号驱动AMOLED显示屏。本发明还提供了AMOLED显示装置。

Description

AMOLED显示屏驱动方法、驱动电路及显示装置
技术领域
本发明涉及显示领域,尤其涉及一种AMOLED显示器驱动方法、AMOLED显示器驱动电路及AMOLED显示装置。
背景技术
请参阅图1,所述AMOLED显示屏中的一个子像素的驱动电路包括开关薄膜晶体管(Switching TFT)T1、驱动薄膜晶体管(Driving TFT)T2及一个存储电容C。所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的栅极电连接扫描信号线,以接收扫描信号,并在所述扫描信号的控制下开启或者关闭。所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的漏极电连接数据线,以接收数据信号。当所述开关薄膜晶体管T1在所述扫描信号的控制下开启时,所述数据信号经由所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的漏极传输至所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的源极。所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的栅极电连接所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的源极,所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的漏极电连接至一电源OVdd,所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的源极电连接有机发光二极管OLED的正极。所述有机发光二极管OLED的负极接地OVSS。当所述开关薄膜晶体管T1开启时,所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2接收所述数据信号,并在所述数据信号的控制下驱动所述有机发光二极管OLED。所述存储电容C一端电连接所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的栅极,一端电连接所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的漏极。所述存储电容C和所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的栅极电连接的节点命名为P。上述描述的驱动电路结构,由于包括两个薄膜晶体管及一个电容,因此,此种结构也称为2T1C结构。在不同的灰阶下,P点的电压不同,但是P点的电压大于OVSS的电压。举例而言,当灰阶为255时,P点的电压等于GM1,当灰阶为0时,P点的电压等于GM9,GM1大于GM9。请参阅图2,图2中左边的图中A区的灰阶为255,B区的灰阶为0,那么A区和B区中所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的栅极和源极之间的电压VGS的情况为:VGS_A>VGS_B。导致A区的电应力(stress)永远比B区的电应力大。因此,当图2中左边的图中的画面显示一段时间过后,再切换到全灰阶时,会产生严重的图像残留,如图2右边的图所示。从而导致所述AMOLED显示屏有较为严重的图像残留现象。
发明内容
本发明提供一种AMOLED显示屏驱动方法,用于驱动AMOLED显示屏,所述AMOLED驱动方法包括:
检测所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目;
当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况;
根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化;
将补偿后的数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
其中,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶小于或等于所述预设灰阶时,或者所述预设区域的宽度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,或者所述预设区域的长度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,则无需对所述数据信号进行补偿,将所述数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
其中,所述预设区域为所述AMOLED显示屏中的任意区域。
本发明还提供了一种AMOLED显示屏驱动电路,用于驱动AMOLED显示屏,所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路包括:
检测单元,用于检测所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目;
计算单元,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况;
补偿单元,用于根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化;
驱动单元,用于将补偿后的数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
其中,所述驱动单元还用于当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰度小于或等于所述预设灰阶时,或者所述预设区域的宽度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,或者所述预设区域的长度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,则无需对所述数据信号进行补偿,将所述数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
其中,所述预设区域为所述AMOLED显示屏中的任意区域。
本发明还提供了一种AMOLED显示装置,所述AMOLED显示装置包括AMOLED显示屏驱动电路,所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路用于驱动AMOLED显示屏,所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路包括:
检测单元,用于检测所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目;
计算单元,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况;
补偿单元,用于根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化;
驱动单元,用于将补偿后的数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
其中,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰階小于或等于所述预设灰阶时,或者所述预设区域的宽度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,或者所述预设区域的长度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,则无需对所述数据信号进行补偿,将所述数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。

相较于现有技术,本发明的AMOLED显示屏驱动方法在所述AMOLED显示屏的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的长度和宽度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,根据预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化,从而使流经所述有机发光二极管的电流保持不变,进而达到了减小所述AMOLED显示屏图像闪烁的技术效果。

请一并参阅图3及图4,图3为本发明一较佳实施方式的AMOLED显示屏中一个子像素的驱动电路图。图4为本发明一较佳实施方式的AMOLED显示屏驱动方法的流程图。所述AMOLED显示屏中的一个子像素的驱动电路包括开关薄膜晶体管(Switching TFT)T1、驱动薄膜晶体管(Driving TFT)T2及一个存储电容C。所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的栅极电连接扫描信号线,以接收扫描信号,并在所述扫描信号的控制下开启或者关闭。所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的漏极电连接数据线,以接收数据信号。当所述开关薄膜晶体管T1在所述扫描信号的控制下开启时,所述数据信号经由所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的漏极传输至所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的源极。所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的栅极电连接所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的源极,所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的漏极电连接至一电源OVdd,所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的源极电连接有机发光二极管OLED的正极。所述有机发光二极管OLED的负极接地OVSS。当所述开关薄膜晶体管T1开启时,所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2接收所述数据信号,并在所述数据信号的控制下驱动所述有机发光二极管OLED。所述存储电容C一端电连接所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的栅极,一端电连接所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的漏极。上述描述的驱动电路结构,由于包括两个薄膜晶体管及一个电容,因此,此种结构也称为2T1C结构。可以理解地,本发明以2T1C结构的驱动电路结构为例进行描述,但是本发明并不局限于2T1C结构的驱动电路。
所述AMOLED显示屏驱动方法包括但不仅限于以下步骤。
步骤S110,检测所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目。在一实施方式中,所述预设灰阶可以为:当所述AMOLED显示屏为8bit时,所述预设灰阶为160。在一实施方式中,所述预设像素数目等于15。在一实施方式中,所述预设区域为所述AMOLED显示屏中的任意区域。
步骤S120,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况。对于所述预设区域内的每颗驱动薄膜晶体管T2而言,所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的阈值电压随时间的变化情况Vth(t)的半经验公式如公式(1)所示。
Vth(t)=Vth,0+ΔVth(t) (公式1)
而,
ΔVth(t)=A·exp(-EA/kT)·tβ(VGS-ηVDS-Vth,0)n (公式2)
其中,ΔVth(t)表示所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的阈值电压随时间的变化。由此可见,ΔVth(t)为VGS、VDS和时间的函数。
对于所述AMOLED显示屏的特定的制程而言,A和β均为常数,越优良的制程,则A越小,β也越小。EA为活化能(Activation Energy),对于AMOLED显示屏的特定的制程而言,EA为常数。
Vth,0:Vth in t=0,且η=VGS/(VGS+VDS)
其中,VGS为所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的栅极和源极之间的电压;VDS为所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的漏极和源极之间的电压。流经所述有机发光二极管OLED的电流IOLED随时间变化的公式如公式(3)所示。
IOLED(t)=Ids,T2=1/2μnCox(W/L)(VGS-Vth)2=1/2μnCox(W/L)(Vdata(t)-VS-Vth(t))2 公式(3)
其中,Ids,T2指的是所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的源极和漏极之间的电流;μn指的所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的沟道层的载流子迁移率;Cox指的是所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2中栅极绝缘层单位面积的电容值;W指的是所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的沟道层的宽度;L指的是所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的沟道层测长度;Vdata(t)指的是所述数据信号随时间的变化情况。
步骤S130,根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化。
具体地,根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使记载在每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化。
由公式(3)可见,对于所述预设区域的每个驱动薄膜晶体管而言,流经所述有机发光二极管OLED的电流IOLED(t)和所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的阈值电压随时间的变化情况Vth(t)以及所述数据信号随时间的变化情况Vdata(t)相关。如果所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的阈值电压随时间的变化情况Vth(t)以及所述数据信号随时间的变化情况Vdata(t)相等,即,ΔVth(t)=ΔVdata(t),则流经所述有机发光二极管OLED的电流IOLED不随着时间变化,从而达到了减小所述AMOLED显示屏图像闪烁(Image Sticking)的技术效果。
步骤S140,将补偿后的数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
所述AMOLED显示屏驱动方法还包括如下步骤。
步骤I,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶小于或等于所述预设灰阶时,或者所述预设区域的宽度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,或者所述预设区域的长度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,则无需对所述数据信号进行补偿,将所述数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
相较于现有技术,本发明的AMOLED显示屏驱动方法在所述AMOLED显示屏的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的长度和宽度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,根据预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化,从而使流经所述有机发光二极管的电流保持不变,进而达到了减小所述AMOLED显示屏图像闪烁的技术效果。
下面结合图3、图4及前述对AMOLED显示屏中一个子像素的驱动电路及AMOLED显示屏驱动方法的描述,对本发明的AMOLED显示屏驱动电路进行描述。请参阅图5,图5为本发明一较佳实施方式的AMOLED显示屏驱动电路的电路框图。所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路100包括检测单元110、计算单元120、补偿单元130及驱动单元140。各个单元的具体功能详细介绍如下。
所述检测单元110,用于检测所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目。在一实施方式中,所述预设灰阶可以为:当所述AMOLED显示屏为8bit时,所述预设灰阶为160。在一实施方式中,所述预设像素数目等于15。在一实施方式中,所述预设区域为所述AMOLED显示屏中的任意区域。
所述计算单元120,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况。具体地,所述计算单元120计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化情况请参阅步骤S120中的描述,在此不再赘述。
所述补偿单元130,用于根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化。具体地,由公式(3)可见,流经所述有机发光二极管OLED的电流IOLED(t)和所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的阈值电压随时间的变化情况Vth(t)以及所述数据信号随时间的变化情况Vdata(t)相关。如果所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的阈值电压随时间的变化情况Vth(t)以及所述数据信号随时间的变化情况Vdata(t)相等,即,ΔVth(t)=ΔVdata(t),则流经所述有机发光二极管OLED的电流IOLED不随着时间变化,从而达到了减小所述AMOLED显示屏图像闪烁(Image Sticking)的技术效果。所述驱动单元140,用于将补偿后的数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
可以理解地,所述检测单元110、所述计算单元120、所述补偿单元130及所述驱动单元140都集成在TCON内。
在本实施方式中,所述驱动单元140还用于当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶小于或等于所述预设灰阶时,或者所述预设区域的宽度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,或者所述预设区域的长度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,则无需对所述数据信号进行补偿,将所述数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
请参阅图6,图6为本发明一较佳实施方式的AMOLED显示装置的示意图。所述AMOLED显示装置1包括AMOLED显示屏驱动电路100,所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路100用于驱动AMOLED显示屏。所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路100如前面所述,在此不再赘述。
以上所揭露的仅为本发明一种较佳实施例而已,当然不能以此来限定本发明之权利范围,本领域普通技术人员可以理解实现上述实施例的全部或部分流程,并依本发明权利要求所作的等同变化,仍属于发明所涵盖的范围。

Claims (9)

1.一种AMOLED显示屏驱动方法,用于驱动AMOLED显示屏,其特征在于,所述AMOLED驱动方法包括:
检测所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目;
当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况;
根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化;
将补偿后的数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
2.如权利要求1所述的AMOLED显示屏驱动方法,其特征在于,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰階小于或等于所述预设灰阶时,或者所述预设区域的宽度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,或者所述预设区域的长度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,则无需对所述数据信号进行补偿,将所述数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
3.如权利要求1所述的AMOLED显示屏驱动方法,其特征在于,所述预设区域为所述AMOLED显示屏中的任意区域。
4.一种AMOLED显示屏驱动电路,用于驱动AMOLED显示屏,其特征在于,所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路包括:
检测单元,用于检测所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目;
计算单元,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况;
补偿单元,用于根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化;
驱动单元,用于将补偿后的数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
5.如权利要求4所述的AMOLED显示屏驱动电路,其特征在于,所述驱动单元还用于当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶小于或等于所述预设灰阶时,或者所述预设区域的宽度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,或者所述预设区域的长度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,则无需对所述数据信号进行补偿,将所述数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
6.如权利要求4所述的AMOLED显示屏驱动电路,其特征在于,所述预设区域为所述AMOLED显示屏中的任意区域。
7.一种AMOLED显示装置,其特征在于,所述AMOLED显示装置包括AMOLED显示屏驱动电路,所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路用于驱动AMOLED显示屏,所述AMOLED显示屏驱动电路包括:
检测单元,用于检测所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶是否大于预设灰阶,且检测所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目是否均大于预设像素数目;
计算单元,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰阶大于预设灰阶,且所述预设区域的宽度和长度对应的像素数目均大于所述预设像素数目时,计算在预设时间段内所述预设区域的每颗驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随着时间变化的情况;
补偿单元,用于根据在所述预设时间段内所述预设区域的驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间变化的情况对加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号进行补偿,以使加载在所述驱动薄膜晶体管的数据信号随时间的变化等于所述驱动薄膜晶体管的阈值电压随时间的变化;
驱动单元,用于将补偿后的数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
8.如权利要求7所述的AMOLED显示装置,其特征在于,当所述AMOLED显示屏中的预设区域的灰階小于或等于所述预设灰阶时,或者所述预设区域的宽度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,或者所述预设区域的长度对应的像素数目小于或等于所述预设像素数目时,则无需对所述数据信号进行补偿,将所述数据信号驱动所述AMOLED显示屏。
9.如权利要求7所述的AMOLED显示装置,其特征在于,所述预设区域为所述AMOLED显示屏中的任意区域。
