Description

Plug connector part with a line insertion device
Technical Field
The invention relates to a plug connector part.
The plug connector part comprises a plug connector housing for a plug connection with an assigned mating plug connector part. A line insertion device for inserting at least one line into the plug connector housing is arranged on the plug connector housing.
Background
In the connector part known from DE 202013001891U 1, the line insertion device can be mated to the connector housing. A cap nut can be screwed onto the line insertion device in order to lock a line, which is guided by the line insertion device to the plug connector housing, in this way in a clamping manner on the plug connector housing.
There is a need today for different contact inserts to be fitted to a housing of a plug connector in order to establish contact with different arrangements and numbers of contacts for different plug connectors. Such contact inserts can be constructed in modular form and inserted into the plug connector housing in a modular manner. Depending on the type of construction of the contact insert, the lines inserted into the housing of the plug-type connector may also differ in terms of type and number.
Conventional line insertion devices are not suitable for such variable, modular use.
Lead enclosures are known which are independent of the plug connector and which enable the insertion of lines into an enclosure such as a switch cabinet. The leadthrough housing known, for example, from DE 202012101639U 1 comprises, for example, two frame parts which can be docked with one another and between which a plurality of sealing elements are received in the docked position. Each sealing element comprises an opening for guiding the lines through, so that a plurality of lines can be inserted together in a sealed manner, for example into a switchgear cabinet.
Another cable leadthrough system is known, for example, from DE 102010037465 a 1.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to provide a plug connector part which allows different lines to be plugged into a plug connector housing in a simple and variable manner, so that, for example, different contact inserts can be fitted.
The line insertion device includes:
-a frame comprising two frame parts which can be docked to each other and which define a frame opening in the docked position, and
at least one sealing element comprising at least one lead opening for inserting at least one line in the longitudinal direction into the housing of the plug connector,
wherein the frame is adapted to receive at least one sealing element in a frame opening.
The idea of the invention is to combine a line plugging system, which is conventionally applied, for example, on a switch cabinet, with a plug connector part. For this purpose, a line insertion device is used which has a frame consisting of two frame parts. The frame parts are capable of abutting each other and define a frame opening therebetween in the position of abutting each other, in which frame opening one or more sealing elements can be received. Wherein each sealing element comprises one or more lead openings for guiding one or more lines through the plug connector housing, so that the lines can be held in a sealing manner on the frame by the sealing element and plugged into the plug connector housing.
The frame parts are preferably capable of abutting each other in an abutment direction transverse to the longitudinal direction. The frame element can, for example, realize two half-frames each having an approximately U-shape and define, in the position of abutment with one another, a rectangular frame opening, on which one or more sealing elements can be received.
The frame parts can preferably be clamped towards each other in the position of abutment against each other by means of at least one clamping element in order to receive one or more sealing elements in the frame opening and to fix their position on the frame in a clamping manner. The sealing element is preferably received on the frame in such a way that the transition between the sealing element and the frame is sealed in a moisture-tight manner, so that the interior of the plug connector housing is protected from moisture and dirt by means of the line insertion device.
Such a clamping element can be configured, for example, as a threaded element, by means of which the frame parts can be screwed in a clamping manner toward one another. Such a clamping element can also be designed, for example, as a snap-in element or the like, by means of which a snap-in connection can be established between the frame parts.
The at least one sealing element is preferably composed of an elastic material, for example an elastomer. This makes it possible to clamp one or more sealing elements in the frame opening and to bring the sealing element in a sealing manner against the line guided through the lead opening.
The frame member may define a frame opening that is, for example, rectangular. The frame opening extends in a frame plane transverse to a longitudinal direction, wherein the longitudinal direction is a direction in which one or more lines are guided through the sealing element and thus through the frame opening. The sealing elements can be butted against each other in a frame plane (transverse to the longitudinal direction) in order to receive the sealing elements on the frame opening and can be separated from each other again in order to replace one or more sealing elements.
The at least one sealing element has for example a rectangular, e.g. square, shape. If a single sealing element is to be received on the frame opening, the shape of the sealing element corresponds to the shape of the frame opening, so that the sealing element can be held on the frame in a sealing manner. If a plurality of sealing elements are to be received on the frame opening, the sealing elements can be butted against one another such that they fit together into the frame opening in a sealing manner.
In order to arrange the lines on the sealing element, the sealing element preferably has an insertion slot which opens a lead opening provided on the sealing element in an insertion direction transverse to the longitudinal direction. So that the wires can be inserted into the lead openings through the insertion slots in an insertion direction transverse to the longitudinal direction. So that the lead opening is opened at one location in a circumferential manner (viewed in a circumferential direction around the longitudinal direction) through the insertion slot.
If a plurality of lead openings are arranged on the sealing element, the lead openings are each opened outwards by an insertion slot or connected to one another by an insertion slot, so that a line can be inserted in each lead opening.
The wires can be inserted into the assigned lead openings transversely to the longitudinal direction through the insertion slot, so that there is no need to pass the wires through the lead openings. This simplifies the operation of placing the line on the sealing element, which, after placing the line, abuts in a sealing manner against the line while being received on the frame.
The line insertion device preferably has a separate frame part in the preassembled state, which is independent of the housing of the plug connector. For mass production of the plug connector parts, the lines are connected to the contact plugs. A sealing element is disposed on the wire and is received in the frame opening by abutting the frame members to each other. In order to connect the frame of the line insertion device to the plug connector housing, the frame is fixed to the plug connector housing, for example screwed to the plug connector housing via suitable fixing points, so that in the assembled state the line insertion device and the plug connector housing are connected to one another and the line is inserted into the plug connector housing via a sealing element received on the frame opening.
In one embodiment, the plug connector housing has, for example, a plug section arranged on the plug connector housing, which plug section can be brought into a plugged engagement with an assigned plug opening of the mating plug connector part. Such a plug section can be, for example, a component of a contact insert, which can be inserted into a plug connector housing in a modular manner. Furthermore, the plug section can also be formed by a housing section directly on the plug connector housing.
In principle, different lines can be inserted into the plug connector housing by means of a line insertion device of the type described here. Such a line may be, for example, an electrical or pneumatic line. In principle, the line can also be designed as a hydraulic line or the like.
A plug connector part of the type described here can be provided as a kit. Such a kit comprises a plug connector housing and a line insertion device comprising a frame consisting of two frame parts. Wherein the kit can be supplied together with a set of different sealing elements which differ in their external dimensions (viewed in the frame plane transverse to the longitudinal direction) and/or in the size and/or number of the lead openings.
For example, the larger sealing element may be sized to correspond to the size of the frame opening, thereby being able to receive the larger sealing element on the frame as a single sealing element. The other sealing element may have a smaller size so that it can be received together with the other sealing element over the frame opening of the frame. In this case, a sealing element particle receives, for example, one or more lines, while the feed-through openings in the sealing element are shaped according to the diameter of the line to be received.
By providing the user with a set of different sealing elements, the user can combine and adapt the sealing elements in a desired, modular manner, thereby adjusting the plug connector part in a variable manner for different line applications.

FIG. 3 is an isolated view of a plug connector part comprising a frame consisting of two frame parts and a plurality of sealing elements;
FIG. 4 is a view of a line insertion device including a line placed thereon; and
fig. 5 is an isolated view of the plug connector housing.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a plug connector part 1, which comprises a plug connector housing 10 and a plug section 11 arranged thereon. The plug connector part 1 is to be plugged onto the mating plug connector 2 in the plugging direction E by the plug section 11 engaging in the mating direction E with the associated plug opening 21 on the mating plug connector part 2. For example, electrical contacts can be arranged on the plug section 11 and on the plug opening 21, respectively, so that, when the plug section 11 is inserted into the plug opening 21, an electrical contact is present between the plug connector part 1 and the counter-plug connector part 2.
The plug section 11 is arranged on the front side 102 of the plug connector housing 10 and projects beyond said front side 102. On a rear side 100 facing away from the front side 102, a line insertion device 3 is arranged opposite, by means of which a line 4 is inserted in the longitudinal direction L into the plug connector housing 10.
The line insertion device 3 can be fastened to the plug connector housing 10 in a form-fitting manner, for example, by means of suitable connecting means 101 in the form of a hook, and extends over the plug connector housing 10 along a frame plane R transverse to the longitudinal direction L.
An embodiment of the line insertion device 3 is explained below with the aid of fig. 2 to 5.
The line insertion device 3 comprises a frame 30, which, as shown in fig. 3, comprises two frame parts 300,301 that are separated along a separation plane T and that can be docked to each other in a docking direction a. The frame 30 extends in a frame plane R (see fig. 1) and surrounds a frame opening 31 which extends transversely to the longitudinal direction L in the frame plane R.
One or more sealing elements 32,32A-32H (see fig. 3) may be received in the frame opening 31. The sealing elements 32,32A-32H each comprise one or more lead openings 320 through which one or more lines 4 can be guided in order to insert the line 4 into the plug connector housing 10 and, for example, connect, inside the plug connector housing 10, to contact inserts received in the plug connector housing 10.
In order to arrange the lines 4 on the lead openings 320 of the sealing elements 32,32A-32H, the lead openings 320 are opened laterally in the insertion direction B, i.e. transversely to the longitudinal direction L, so that the lines 4 can be inserted into the assigned lead openings 320 in the insertion direction B transversely to the longitudinal direction L.
As shown in the sealing members 32G and 32H in fig. 1, if a plurality of lead openings 320 are arranged on the sealing members 32,32A to 32H, each lead opening 320 can be accessed from the outside through the notch 321, so that the wire 4 can be inserted into each lead opening 320.
The sealing elements 32,32A-32H differ in their outer dimensions (viewed in the frame plane R transverse to the longitudinal direction L) and/or in the shape of the lead openings 320 and/or in the number of lead openings 320. So that a line 4 with a larger line cross section can be received in the lead-through opening 320 with a larger diameter, and a correspondingly smaller line 4 can be received in the lead-through opening 320 with a smaller diameter. The sealing elements 32,32A-32H can be placed against one another and received on the frame opening 31 in different combinations, wherein the sealing elements 32,32A-32H are combined in such a way that, in the fitted state, the frame opening 31 is filled and the sealing elements 32,32A-32H are held together in a sealing manner on the frame 30.
In order to clamp the sealing elements 32,32A-32H in the frame openings 31, the frame parts 300,301 can be butted against each other in a butting direction a and clamped against each other by means of clamping elements in the form of threaded elements 305 placed on the clamping openings 304.
Fig. 4 shows the line insertion device 3 in the completed state, containing the line 4 placed on the sealing element 32.
The line insertion device 3 is mated before the frame 30 is connected to the plug connector housing 10. When the line 4 is placed on the sealing elements 32,32A-32H and the sealing elements 32,32A-32H are received on the frame openings 31 of the frame 30, the frame 30 can be placed with the sealing elements 32,32A-32H arranged thereon on the plug connector housing 10 and screwed to the plug connector housing 10. For this purpose, fastening points 302,303 are provided on the frame parts 300,301, by means of which fastening points suitable threaded elements can be engaged with the fastening openings 104 in the region of the rear side 100 of the plug connector 10.
The plug connector housing 10 is closed on its rear side 100 to the outside by the fastening of the line insertion device 3. In this case, a contact insert can be received in the interior 103 of the plug connector housing 10, to which the line 4 guided through the line insertion device 3 is connected and which provides a suitable contact on the plug section 11.
The line insertion device 3 can be placed on the rear side 100 of the plug connector housing 10 which extends obliquely with respect to the plugging direction E (as in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 1) or on the rear side 100 of the plug connector housing 10 which extends transversely with respect to the plugging direction E (as in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 2). Furthermore, it is also possible to place the line insertion devices 3 on other surfaces, such as side walls, upper walls or lower walls.
The line insertion device 3 can be snapped or screwed onto the plug connector housing 10 or can be connected to the plug connector housing 10 in some other way, for example riveted, glued or welded.
The basic idea of the invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments but can also be implemented in other embodiments in a secure and different type of way.
In an embodiment, the frame opening has a rectangular shape, while the sealing element is square as seen in the frame plane. In principle, the frame opening can also have other shapes, for example a circular shape. Accordingly, the sealing element may also have a shape other than square.
In principle, various lines can be guided through the line insertion device. For example, the lines can be designed as electrical lines, pneumatic lines or hydraulic lines.
