背景技术
在汽车工业中整合了机械、电子、化学、能源和环境领域的先进技术。近年来,高效率、安全性和便利性随着环境监管、隐私保护和生活质量提高的加强而变得更加重要。举例而言,能够改进能量效率、满意敏感度和功能性的智能窗户技术得到了大量关注。
智能窗户技术指的是通过控制从外界引入的光的透光率从而可以减少能量损失并给消费者提供愉悦环境的主动控制技术。主动控制技术也被称为基础技术,其通常应用于各种工业中,如交通、信息显示和建筑。因为智能窗户技术仅通过简单操作即可引起快速状态转换,并提供各种先进的便利功能,所以可预期在汽车中的积极应用和发展以产生高附加值。
智能窗户过去使用聚合物分散液晶(在下文中以“PDLC”表示)来制造。在PDLC中,微米尺寸的液晶粒子分散在聚合物基体中,通过由外部电压引起的在液晶粒子和聚合物之间的折射率的差别而控制透光率。
参考图1A,在不施加电压的OFF状态下,液晶粒子不规则排列,因此光由于液晶粒子与聚合物基体的折射率的差别而进行散射。参考图1B,在施加电压的ON状态下,液晶粒子规则排列,从而具有与聚合物基体相同的折射率,并传输光。由于散射引起的不透光性和通过施加电压引起的透光率是决定智能窗户性能的重要因素。
使用聚合物基体的PDLC可能使智能窗户具有雾影。PDLC具有浑浊颜色,当其暴露至UV时变得严重并改性。因此,智能窗户的颜色可能由于泛黄而发生变化。
此外,由于施加至紧邻聚合物基体的透明电极的电场的主要部分被由于聚合物基体的高介电常数所产生的聚合物的激发极化而屏蔽,所以需要高驱动电压。
通常,PDLC应填充基于整个智能窗户约50%或更小水平的液晶从而防止液晶不形成水滴形状而变为大块。此处,因为聚合物基体和液晶之间的界面不充分,所以遮光率低。另外,如果厚度为了增加界面而变厚,驱动电压进一步增加。

为了实现以上方面,本发明包括如下要素。

参考图2A和2B,根据本发明的使用气凝胶的智能窗户可以包括一对透明电极11,其以小间距分别排列以相互面对。多孔气凝胶13插在透明电极11之间。液晶15填充气凝胶13的孔,并插在透明电极11之间。
透明电极11为涂布有透明导电薄膜(如铟锡氧化物(ITO)、掺氟的锡氧化物(FTO)等)的玻璃或对苯二甲酸乙二酯(PET)膜,并连接至智能窗户的外部电源。当在ON状态下时,在透明电极11之间的空间中产生电场。气凝胶13通过其高孔隙度可以最大化透光性和遮光性之间的差异。如上所述,常规聚合物分散液晶(PDLC)填充有50%或更小水平的液晶。如果常规PDLC中含有大于50%的液晶,液晶则不形成水滴形状而变成大块,由此不能有效地进行透光和遮光。
相反地,气凝胶13具有高孔隙度。因此,当液晶15填充在气凝胶13中的空间中时,气凝胶13和液晶15的界面被最大化,液晶15被气凝胶13控制。因此,气凝胶13可以含有比常规PDLC更多的液晶15,并具有均一的形状、尺寸和排列。
气凝胶13的孔隙度可以为60%或更大,或者可以为95%或更大,因为具有60%或更小孔隙度的气凝胶13不能够填充充分的液晶15。
此外,随着气凝胶13和液晶15之间的界面增加,在OFF状态的过程中将光引入至智能窗户时光散射数次,由此增加遮光率。例如,光在穿过界面的同时以30度角折射,随后在穿过下一界面时以60度角折射,等等。因此,光以90度角或更大的角度折射,由此防止光的传输。因此,由于在OFF状态下的遮光性和ON状态下的透光性之间的差别可以提供具有改进的光学特性的智能窗户。
此外,因为在气凝胶13和液晶15之间形成充分的界面,即使在智能窗户的厚度相对薄时,光学特性比常规PDLC得到进一步改善。因此,可以获得具有低驱动电压的薄智能窗户。
气凝胶13具有约0.03W/m·K的非常低的导热性和约1,200℃的非常高的熔点,由此增加了机械和化学稳定性。
另外,气凝胶13不会泛黄(发生在聚合物基体中),并具有低雾度值,因此提供了清晰且优质的智能窗户。
气凝胶13可以为二氧化硅(SiO2)气凝胶,其为最常用的气凝胶材料,但气凝胶不限于此,其可以为Si-Ti混合气凝胶。
本发明可以通过控制Si-Ti混合气凝胶的Si和Ti的混合比例来调节气凝胶13的折射率。因此,可以通过与各种类型的液晶15匹配折射率来使用气凝胶13。
Si-Ti混合比例可以在1:1至10:1的范围内。如果比例小于1:1,折射率可以变得过高,由此引起气凝胶13的折射率和液晶15的折射率之间的较大差距。如果该比例大于10:1,气凝胶13与液晶15可能无法很好地混合。

下文中将详细描述用于制造二氧化硅气凝胶和Si-Ti混合气凝胶的方法。在本发明中,二氧化硅气凝胶和Si-Ti混合气凝胶制造成1至10μm厚的薄膜。

在上述反应式1的反应中,由于醇产生并蒸发而在气凝胶中形成大孔。
制造Si-Ti混合气凝胶的方法可以包括:(a)通过将硅酸乙酯(TEOS)或甲基三乙氧基硅烷(Me-TES)、异丙醇和硝酸混合来制造A溶液;(b)通过将乙酰丙酮和乙酰丙酮钛混合来制造B溶液;(c)通过混合A溶液和B溶液使得A溶液与B溶液反应;(d)将(c)的混合溶液涂布在透明电极上;以及(e)干燥涂布有混合溶液的透明电极并随后加热透明电极。
在醇气氛下在气密容器中进行步骤(e)中的干燥以防止气凝胶裂缝。
通过以上方法制造的气凝胶具有如下优点:其具有高透射率控制范围,因为液晶易于包含在具有大孔和高孔隙度的气凝胶中。
实施例
以下实施例显示了本发明,并且并非旨在限制于这些实施例。
实施例1:制造含有二氧化硅气凝胶的智能窗户
(a)将3ml的TMOS、0.73ml的0.069mol%氨水和1.8ml的甲烷混合以制备混合溶液。
(b)将混合溶液旋转涂布在透明电极上。
(c)将涂布有混合溶液的透明电极在醇气氛下干燥10小时以凝胶化混合溶液。
(d)将另一对透明电极粘结至完成凝胶化的二氧化硅气凝胶的上侧,通过毛细力将液晶注射至二氧化硅气凝胶以制造智能窗户样品。
实施例2:制造含有Si-Ti混合气凝胶的智能窗户
(a)将1.23ml的0.55MTEOS、0.565ml的0.3MMe-TES、0.28ml的0.4M异丙醇和0.146ml的0.343M硝酸混合以制备A溶液。
(b)将2.91ml的1M乙酰丙酮和1.04ml的1M乙酰丙酮钛混合以制备B溶液。
(c)A溶液和B溶液混合并反应2小时。
(d)将步骤(c)的混合溶液搅拌15min,并随后旋转涂布在透明电极上。
(e)在醇气氛下在气密容器中将涂布有混合溶液的透明电极干燥4天,在空气中干燥2天,随后在50℃下加热10小时。
(f)将另一对透明电极粘结至Si-Ti混合气凝胶的上侧,通过毛细力将液晶注射至Si-Ti混合气凝胶以制造智能窗户样品。
测量实施例1:含有二氧化硅气凝胶的智能窗户的遮光性
图3为在实施例1中制造的含有二氧化硅气凝胶的智能窗户的图片。在不施加电压至透明电极的OFF状态下光在液晶和气凝胶的界面处散射,由此维持不透明状况。
测量实施例2:Si-Ti混合气凝胶的表面分析
为了分析在实施例2中制造的Si-Ti混合气凝胶的表面,使用原子力显微镜(AFM)确认孔结构。
图4为使用AFM观察的气凝胶的孔的图片,观察到孔的高度为约10nm,孔尺寸为约100nm。
图5为显示气凝胶沿着图4的AA线的横截面轮廓的图表,其中气凝胶混合的孔均匀分布。
根据测量实施例2,可以确定通过以上制造方法制造的Si-Ti混合气凝胶形成大量的纳米水平的细孔。
测量实施例3:含有Si-Ti混合气凝胶的智能窗户的表面分析
图6为在实施例2中制造的含有Si-Ti混合气凝胶的智能窗户的图片,其中在不施加电压至透明电极的OFF状态下光在液晶和气凝胶的界面处散射,由此维持不透明状况。此外,可以确定使用气凝胶的智能窗户由于其与常规PDLC相比较低的雾度值可以实现清晰且优质的智能窗户。
图7为显示放大200倍的在Si-Ti混合气凝胶的孔中填充的液晶滴的图片,液晶滴的尺寸为约10μm。如图7中所示,可以发现通过将液晶注射至气凝胶,液晶可以形成稳定的尺寸、形状和排列。
测量实施例4:含有Si-Ti混合气凝胶的智能窗户的光学特征
在实施例2中制造的含有Si-Ti混合气凝胶的智能窗户的透射率通过使用光谱透射率测量装置(Cary5000紫外线-可见光-近红外线,Agilent)进行测量。
如上所述,通过控制Si和Ti的混合比例可以调节Si-Ti混合气凝胶的折射率。
图8为显示含有高Si含量(Si:Ti=1.65:1)的Si-Ti混合气凝胶的智能窗户的透射率的测量结果的图表,而图9为显示含有高Ti含量(Si:Ti=1.1:1)的Si-Ti混合气凝胶的智能窗户的透射率的测量结果的图表。根据引入智能窗户的光的波长在0、30、50、70和100V的驱动电压下测量透射率。驱动电压意指施加在透明电极上用于在智能窗户处产生电场的电压。
参考图8和图9,可以发现由于智能窗户薄的厚度,智能窗户即使在30V的低驱动电压下也传递光。可以确定与通常具有100V的驱动电压的PDLC相比,智能窗户可以在非常低的驱动电压下工作。
另外,参考图9,在600nm的光波长处,智能窗户在OFF状态下(0V)具有22%的透射率,而在ON状态下(30V)具有65%的透射率。因此,可以发现由于OFF状态和ON状态之间的透射率的较大差别,智能窗户可商用并可以制造。
参考图8,具有高Si含量的样品在短波长范围处显示出高透射率,改进了整体透射率。参考图9,具有高Ti含量的样品在短波长范围处显示出低透射率,减少了整体透射率。
因此,可以确定通过控制Si和Ti含量比例可以控制在从短波长至长波长的每个波长处的透射率或整体透光率,由此可以制造具有多种功能的智能窗户。
根据本发明的智能窗户使用气凝胶,所述气凝胶具有95%或更大的高孔隙度,所述气凝胶的孔填充有液晶。因此,在电压OFF状态下遮光率很高,因为气凝胶和液晶之间的界面最大化,因此,光可以高度散射。根据本发明的智能窗户具有低驱动电压,因为该智能窗户不需要加厚以形成更多界面。
因为根据本发明的智能窗户使用气凝胶而非聚合物基体,由于气凝胶的低雾度值可以实现清晰且优质的外部,由此防止泛黄。
此外,当制造Si-Ti混合气凝胶时,通过调节Si和Ti的含量比例可以控制根据波长范围的透射率、整体透光率等。因此,本发明的智能窗户可以用于各种目的。
本发明的智能窗户使用多孔气凝胶,并最大化气凝胶和液晶之间的界面,由此多次散射光。因此改进遮光率。
即使智能窗户具有薄厚度,最大化界面的本发明也实现充足的遮光率。因此减少了驱动电压。
此外,使用气凝胶的根据本发明的智能窗户可以提供机械和化学稳定性。
此外,使用气凝胶而非聚合物基体的根据本发明的智能玻璃可以提供低雾度值的清晰智能窗户,由此防止泛黄。
此外,根据本发明的智能窗户可以控制Si-Ti混合气凝胶的折射率以符合各种类型的液晶的折射率。
参考本发明的示例性实施方案详细描述了本发明。然而,应理解,本领域技术人员可以对这些实施方案作出改变而不脱离本发明的原理和精神,本发明的范围限定于所附权利要求及其等同方案中。
Claims (9)
1.一种智能窗户,其包括:
一对透明电极,所述一对透明电极间隔开以相互面对;
多孔气凝胶,其插入所述一对透明电极之间;以及
液晶,其插入在所述一对透明电极之间并填充气凝胶的孔。
2.根据权利要求1所述的智能窗户,其中所述气凝胶具有60%或更大的孔隙度。
3.根据权利要求1所述的智能窗户,其中气凝胶为二氧化硅气凝胶或硅-钛混合气凝胶。
4.根据权利要求3所述的智能窗户,其中硅-钛混合气凝胶中的硅和钛的含量比例变化以控制气凝胶的折射率。
5.根据权利要求4所述的智能窗户,其中硅和钛的含量比例为1:1至10:1。
6.一种用于制造二氧化硅气凝胶的方法,其包括:
a)通过将硅酸甲酯(TMOS)或正硅酸乙酯(TEOS)与氨水(NH4OH)和甲醇混合而制造混合溶液;
b)将混合溶液涂布在透明电极上;以及
c)通过在醇气氛下放置经涂布的透明电极来凝胶化混合溶液。
7.一种用于制造硅-钛混合气凝胶的方法,其包括:
a)通过将硅酸乙酯(TEOS)或甲基三乙氧基硅烷(Me-TES)、异丙醇和硝酸混合来制造第一溶液;
b)通过将乙酰丙酮和乙酰丙酮钛混合来制造第二溶液;
c)通过混合第一溶液和第二溶液使得第一溶液与第二溶液反应;
d)将(c)的混合溶液涂布在透明电极上;以及
e)干燥涂布有混合溶液的透明电极并随后加热透明电极。
8.一种智能窗户,其包括根据权利要求6的方法制造的二氧化硅气凝胶。
9.一种智能窗户,其包括根据权利要求7的方法制造的硅-钛混合气凝胶。
