一种微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜及制备方法,属于包装材料技术领域。一种微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜,至少包括两层,其中至少一表层为纳米级微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯层,其他层为聚丙烯层。制备方法:包括NCC母料制备和NCC改性聚丙烯薄膜(CPP)制备。复合薄膜复合性能得到提高,薄膜的杨氏模量、气体阻隔性能、耐热性能都有明显改善。

一种微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜及制备方法
技术领域
本发明涉及一种印刷包装用聚丙烯薄膜,属于包装材料技术领域。
背景技术
聚丙烯薄膜质轻价廉,力学性能好、透明度高,因此是软包装复合膜主要的原料薄膜之一,约占复合膜质量的30%,它主要被用作软包装的印刷层和热封层。双向拉伸聚丙烯薄膜(BOPP)是一种主要的印刷材料,由于聚丙烯的极性低,故印前需要对薄膜进行电晕处理,即使如此,油墨层与聚丙烯间的附着力仍然很低,与油墨的附着力远远低于聚酯和尼龙薄膜。不仅如此,聚丙烯薄膜与其它薄膜间的复合性能也较差,制备成的复合膜的剥离强度很低。
主要化学成分是纤维素的纸张具有很好的印刷性能,由此我们提出利用纤维素改性聚丙烯薄膜,以提高薄膜的极性,改善聚丙烯与油墨间的附着力。
发明内容
聚丙烯为弱极性材料,与油墨和粘合剂间的相容性差,分子间作用力较弱,表现为印后油墨附着力差,复合后剥离强度低。纤维素具有较高的极性,与油墨和粘合剂间的相容性好,与它们之间的分子间作用力较高,将纤维素与聚丙烯树脂熔融共混,分散于聚丙烯无定形区的纤维素粒子会有机会与油墨或粘合剂中的极性成分接触,增加改性了的聚丙烯薄膜与油墨或粘合剂间的分子间作用力,提高聚丙烯的印刷和复合性能。
一种微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜,其特征在于,至少包括两层,其中至少一表层为纳米级微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯层,其他为聚丙烯层。
一种微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜,其特征在于,为两层,一层为纳米级微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯层,另一层为聚丙烯层。
一种微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜,其特征在于,为三层,其中两表层为纳米级微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯层,中间芯层为聚丙烯层。
表层纳米级微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯层薄膜厚度为2-3微米。
上述纳米级微晶纤维素(NCC),其长度为100-400纳米,直径为10-30nm(优选20nm)的棒状NCC。
优选纳米级微晶纤维素采用酸解法由一种棉纤维得到。以市售棉纤维微晶纤维素(MCC)为原料,采用酸水解法制备得到NCC,优化的酸解的工艺条件为:将MCC原料与质量百分比浓度60%的硫酸混合,控制酸解温度为50-60℃,酸解时间为l2O-150分钟,得到长度范围在100-400nm之间,平均长度170-200纳米,直径为10-30nm(优选20nm)的棒状NCC。
纳米级微晶纤维素外层为丙烯酸树脂,与丙烯酸树脂形成母胶。
纳米微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜的制备,其特征在于,包括以下步骤:
(1)制备NCC母料:将MCC原料与60%的硫酸混合后,于50-60℃酸解l2O-150分钟;然后将产物用透析袋处理,直至产物的PH为中性,说明产物中的硫酸根离子已经完全被除去,得到长度范围在100-400nm之间,平均长度170-200纳米,直径为10-30nm的棒状NCC悬浮液;将悬浮液与水性丙烯酸树脂乳液混合,干燥、切粒得到NCC改性母料;棒状NCC悬浮液与水性丙烯酸树脂乳液,对应的干重质量比为1:1。丙烯酸树脂作为聚丙烯和NCC间的相容剂,利于NCC在聚丙烯中的分散。
(2)NCC改性聚丙烯树脂
将步骤(1)得到的NCC母料,与一定比例的聚丙烯树脂混合,设定双螺杆挤出机的各段温度为170-230℃,模口温度为230℃,螺杆转速为300rpm,水冷、风干、切粒后得到改性聚丙烯树脂;
(3)NCC改性聚丙烯薄膜(CPP)制备
在共挤流延设备中,设定流延设备的螺杆挤出段的温度为230-270℃,模口温度为270℃,冷却辊温度为20-25℃,仅在需要改性的聚丙烯薄膜对应的表层的供料螺杆上加入步骤(2)NCC改性聚丙烯树脂,其它层不需要改性的则采用聚丙烯树脂;控制各层的进料速率,得到纳米微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜。
本发明制备出NCC改性聚丙烯薄膜,优选NCC在改性聚丙烯薄膜层的含量为0.5-1.5%,在NCC含量为0.5%-1.5%的条件下,不但改性聚丙烯薄膜的印刷和复合性能得到提高,薄膜的杨氏模量、气体阻隔性能、耐热性能都有明显改善。
力学性能分析
将改性聚丙烯复合薄膜样品裁剪为15cm×2cm的矩形样条,每个样品测试5次,结果取其均值。采用5565A型号的INSTRON电子拉力机测试,拉伸速度为200mm/min。
改性聚丙烯复合薄膜的耐热性分析
测试仪器:德国耐驰公司TG-209型热重分析仪。升温速率为10℃/min,测试温度范围为室温至550℃,保护气为氮气,保护气和吹扫气流速分别为45ml/min和15ml/min。
改性聚丙烯复合薄膜的气体阻隔性能分析:
依照模具裁剪成面积为50cm2圆形薄膜样品,水蒸气透过率(WVTR)测试采用型号为Model 3/33水蒸气透过率测试仪(美国Mocon公司);氧气透过率(OTR)测试采用型号为8001的氧气透过率测试仪(美国Illinois公司)。
改性聚丙烯复合薄膜印刷性能测试:
首先对改性聚丙烯复合薄膜进行电晕处理,将薄膜裁剪为5厘米宽的样条,用印刷适性仪进行打样,待油墨干燥后,用3M-600胶带与聚丙烯薄膜压合后,撕掉胶带,测试没有被胶带粘掉的油墨面积占印刷总面积的比例;
改性聚丙烯复合薄膜的剥离强度测试:
首先对改性聚丙烯薄膜进行电晕处理,然后用软包装专用工业聚氨酯粘合剂对同种(相同NCC添加比例)改性聚丙烯薄膜进行干法复合,将复合薄膜45-50℃熟化24小时后,将薄膜裁剪为15毫米宽的样条,用5565A型的INSTRON电子拉力机测试剥离强度(剥离力),拉伸速度为200mm/min。

具体实施方式
下面结合实施例对本发明做进一步说说明,但本发明并不限于以下实施例。
本发明三层结构的纳米微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜结构示意图见附图1。
实施例1
将10克MCC原料与100克60%(质量百分比)的硫酸混合后,于60℃酸解l5O分钟,将酸解产物装入半透膜透析袋中密封,将透析袋置于蒸馏水中,每2小时换一次水,直至酸解产物的PH=6,说明产物中的硫酸根离子已经完全被除去,得到长度范围在100-300nm之间,平均长度170纳米,直径为20nm的棒状NCC悬浮液;将悬浮液与水性丙烯酸树脂乳液以1:1(干重比)的比例混合,干燥、切粒得到NCC改性母料。设定双螺杆挤出机的各段温度为170-230℃,模口温度为230℃,将NCC母料与聚丙烯原料树脂混合,其中NCC质量占改性聚丙烯树脂层质量的0.5%,NCC与丙烯酸树脂的质量比为1:1,设定螺杆转速为300rpm,改性树脂经水冷、风干、切粒后得到改性聚丙烯粒料;在三层共挤流延设备中,设定流延设备的螺杆挤出段的温度为230-270℃,模口温度为270℃,冷却辊温度为20-25℃,仅在聚丙烯薄膜的表层的两台供料螺杆上加入上述NCC改性聚丙烯树脂,控制表层和芯层的进料速率,得到表层厚度为2-3微米的CPP薄膜。然后测试改性CPP薄膜的力学性能、阻隔性能、油墨附着力(印刷性能)和复合膜剥离强度。
实施例2
将10克MCC原料与100克60%(w/w)的硫酸混合后,于50℃酸解l2O分钟,将酸解产物装入半透膜透析袋中密封,将透析袋置于蒸馏水中,每2小时换一次水,直至酸解产物的PH=6,得到长度范围在100-300nm之间,平均长度200纳米,直径为20nm的棒状NCC悬浮液;将悬浮液与水性丙烯酸树脂乳液以1:1(干重比w/w)的比例混合,干燥、切粒得到NCC改性母料。设定双螺杆挤出机的各段温度为170-230℃,模口温度为230℃,将NCC母料与聚丙烯原料树脂混合,其中NCC质量占改性聚丙烯树脂层的1.0%,NCC与丙烯酸树脂的质量比(干重)为1:1,设定螺杆转速为300rpm,改性树脂经水冷、风干、切粒后得到改性聚丙烯粒料;在三层共挤流延设备中,设定流延设备的螺杆挤出段的温度为230-270℃,模口温度为270℃,冷却辊温度为20-25℃,仅在聚丙烯薄膜的表层和芯层两台供料螺杆上加入上述NCC改性聚丙烯树脂,控制表层和芯层的进料速率,得到表层和芯层厚度为2-3微米的CPP薄膜。测试改性CPP薄膜的力学性能、阻隔性能、油墨附着力(印刷性能)和复合膜剥离强度。
实施例3
NCC以及NCC-丙烯酸母料的制备方法同实施例1;将NCC-丙烯酸母料与聚丙烯熔融共混,使NCC占改性聚丙烯质量的1.5%,其它的聚丙烯改性树脂的制备方法、改性聚丙烯薄膜的制备方法同实施例2。
对比例1
利用三层共挤流延设备,用未改性的聚丙烯原料树脂制备流延聚丙烯薄膜,薄膜的制备工艺擦书同实施例1。
表1列出利用本专利制备的改性聚丙烯薄膜的印刷复合性能,与未改性聚丙烯薄膜相比,利用NCC改性的薄膜,其印刷性能得到很大程度的提高,在NCC含量为0.5-1.5%的条件下,油墨附着力提高97-148%,改性薄膜自身复合后其剥离强度提高19-42%;在聚丙烯薄膜印刷复合性能得到改善的同时,聚丙烯薄膜的耐热性也达到较大程度提高,未改性的聚丙烯薄膜,其初始分解温度Ton和分解一半时对应的温度T1/2分别为343.7和388.6℃,在NCC含量为0.5-1.5%的条件下,改性CPP薄膜的Ton提高59-70℃,T1/2提高45-62℃,耐热温度的提高,会改善聚丙烯薄膜的尺寸稳定性,提高套印精度。从表1可见NCC改性聚丙烯薄膜的阻隔性也得到改善,在NCC含量为0.5-1.5%情况下,改性薄膜的水蒸气透过率降低16-34%,氧气透过率降低33-41%。由于纳米纤维素粒子的异相成核作用,使得在NCC含量为0.5-1.5%情况下,改性薄膜的拉伸强度相对提高6.4-6.5%、杨氏模量提高15-31%,极性的纳米纤维素粒子提高了聚丙烯的刚性,使得CPP薄膜其断裂伸长率降低9-40%,但这并不影响聚丙烯薄膜在包装领域的使用。

Claims (1)

1.一种纳米微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜的制备方法,其特征在于,包括以下步骤:
(1)制备NCC母料:将MCC原料与60%的硫酸混合后,于50-60℃酸解l20 -150分钟;然后将产物用透析袋处理,直至产物的PH为中性,得到长度范围在100-400nm之间,平均长度170-200纳米,直径为10-30nm的棒状NCC悬浮液;将悬浮液与水性丙烯酸树脂乳液混合,干燥、切粒得到NCC改性母料;棒状NCC悬浮液与水性丙烯酸树脂乳液,对应的干重质量比为1:1;
(2)NCC改性聚丙烯树脂
将步骤(1)得到的NCC母料,与一定比例的聚丙烯树脂混合,设定双螺杆挤出机的各段温度为170-230℃,模口温度为230℃,螺杆转速为300rpm,水冷、风干、切粒后得到改性聚丙烯树脂;
(3)NCC改性聚丙烯薄膜(CPP)制备
在共挤流延设备中,设定流延设备的螺杆挤出段的温度为230-270℃,模口温度为270℃,冷却辊温度为20-25℃,仅在需要改性的聚丙烯薄膜对应的表层的供料螺杆上加入步骤(2)NCC改性聚丙烯树脂,其它层不需要改性的则采用聚丙烯树脂;控制各层的进料速率,得到纳米微晶纤维素改性聚丙烯复合薄膜。
