Abstract

本发明提供一种液晶显示装置及其液晶显示面板,在阵列基板和彩膜基板上均增加第一电极和第二电极,在对公共电极和像素电极施加电压时,未对第一电极和第二电极施加电压,液晶由第一方向偏转为相垂直的第二方向,而在对第一电极和第二电极施加极性相反的电压时,未对公共电极和像素电极施加电压,液晶由第二方向偏转为第一方向。本发明能够减少下降时间,缩短响应时间。

Description

液晶显示装置及其液晶显示面板
技术领域
本发明涉及液晶显示技术领域,具体而言涉及一种液晶显示面板以及具有该液晶显示面板的液晶显示装置。
背景技术
液晶显示面板(或液晶显示装置)的响应时间由上升时间和下降时间组成,上升时间指的是液晶显示面板完成由常黑显示转变为常白显示这一过程液晶偏转所需的时间,下降时间指的是液晶显示面板完成由常白显示转变为常黑显示这一过程液晶偏转所需的时间。其中,常黑显示又称暗态显示,此时偏转后的液晶不允许光线透过;常白显示又称亮态显示,此时偏转后的液晶最大程度的允许光线透过。
在常黑显示转变为常白显示这一过程中,液晶受像素电极和公共电极之间的电场所产生的电场力的作用发生偏转;在常白显示转变为常黑显示这一过程中,像素电极和公共电极未被施加灰阶电压,两者之间无电场,液晶需要偏转为配向时的位置,该过程偏转的力为锚定力。然而,当液晶之间的粘度较大或者液晶显示装置处于低温环境时,受锚定力偏转的液晶会受到反作用,导致下降时间变大,从而增大所述响应时间,导致图像显示时出现卡顿现象,影响显示品质。
发明内容
有鉴于此,本发明实施例所要解决的技术问题是提供一种液晶显示装置及其液晶显示面板,以减少下降时间,缩短响应时间。
本发明实施例提供的一种液晶显示面板,具有相对间隔设置的阵列基板和彩膜基板以及夹持于两者之间的液晶,阵列基板包括像素电极,彩膜基板包括公共电极,阵列基板和彩膜基板还都包括交错间隔设置的第一电极和第二电极,两基板上的第一电极相对应、第二电极相对应;在对公共电极和像素电极施加极性相反的电压时,未对第一电极和第二电极施加电压,公共电极和像素电极之间形成第一电场,以控制沿第一方向排列的液晶偏转为沿第二方向排列,其中第一方向垂直于第二方向;在对第一电极和第二电极施加极性相反的电压时,未对公共电极和像素电极施加电压,相邻设置的第一电极和第二电极之间形成第二电场,以控制沿第二方向排列的液晶偏转为沿第一方向排列。
其中,第一方向为竖直方向,第二方向为水平方向。
其中,液晶为负性液晶,第一电场为竖直电场,第二电场为水平电场。
其中,第一电极和第二电极位于同一平面上,且两者与像素电极之间设置有第一绝缘层、与公共电极之间设置有第二绝缘层。
其中,公共电极为一整面透明电极层。
其中,公共电极为沿彩膜基板表面间隔排布的条状结构。
其中,第一电极和第二电极中的一个与像素电极所施加的电压的极性相同,另一个与公共电极所施加的电压的极性相同。
其中,第一电压和第二电极的尺寸相同。
其中,第一电极和第二电极中的一个与像素电极的制造材质相同,另一个与公共电极的制造材质相同。
本发明实施例提供的一种液晶显示装置,包括上述液晶显示面板。
区别于现有技术,本发明实施例的液晶显示装置及其液晶显示面板,在阵列基板和彩膜基板上均增加第一电极和第二电极,在对公共电极和像素电极施加电压时,未对第一电极和第二电极施加电压,液晶由第一方向偏转为相垂直的第二方向,而在对第一电极和第二电极施加极性相反的电压时,未对公共电极和像素电极施加电压,液晶由第二方向偏转为第一方向,在液晶显示面板由常白显示转变为常黑显示这一过程中,控制液晶偏转的非锚定力而是力度较大的电场力,因此能够减少下降时间,从而缩短响应时间,即使在极端低温环境下,也能保持快速的响应时间,改善图像显示时的卡顿现象,确保显示品质。

具体实施方式
下面将结合本发明实施例中的附图,对本发明所提供的示例性的实施例的技术方案进行清楚、完整地描述。
图1是本发明的液晶显示面板一实施例的结构剖视图。如图1所示,液晶显示面板10包括相对间隔设置的阵列基板(ArraySubstrate,又称ThinFilmTransistorSubstrate,TFT基板或薄膜晶体管基板)11和彩膜基板(ColorFilter,CF基板或彩色滤光片基板)12,以及夹持于阵列基板11和彩膜基板12之间的液晶(液晶分子)13,其中,液晶13位于阵列基板11和彩膜基板12叠加组合成的液晶盒内。
阵列基板11包括第一透明基体111以及设置于第一透明基体111上的像素电极112,彩膜基板12包括第二透明基体121以及设置于第二透明基体121上的公共电极122,该公共电极122可以为一整面透明电极层,也可以为沿第二透明基体121表面间隔排布的条状结构。
与现有技术不同的是,本发明实施例的液晶显示面板10的阵列基板11和彩膜基板12还都设置有多个第一电极21和多个第二电极22,其中,每一基板上的第一电极21和第二电极22位于同一平面上,且两者与像素电极112之间设置有第一绝缘层113、与公共电极122之间设置有第二绝缘层123,另外每一基板上的第一电极21和第二电极22交错间隔设置,阵列基板11上的第一电极21和彩膜基板12上的第一电极21一一对应设置,阵列基板11上的第二电极22和彩膜基板12上的第二电极22一一对应设置。
结合图2所示,在对公共电极122和像素电极112施加极性相反的灰阶电压时,未对第一电极21和第二电极22施加电压,此时,公共电极122和像素电极112之间形成第一电场(虚线所示),第一电场产生的电场力使得液晶13沿图2所示的箭头方向偏转,从而控制沿第一方向D1排列的液晶13偏转为沿第二方向D2排列,以此使得液晶显示面板10完成由常黑显示转变为常白显示这一过程。
进一步结合图3所示,在对第一电极21和第二电极22施加极性相反的电压时,未对公共电极122和像素电极112施加电压,相邻设置的第一电极21和第二电极22之间形成第二电场(虚线所示),第二电场产生的电场力使得液晶13沿图3所示的箭头方向偏转,从而控制沿第二方向D2排列的液晶13偏转为沿第一方向D1排列,以此使得液晶显示面板10完成由常白显示转变为常黑显示这一过程。
其中,第一方向D1垂直于第二方向D2。对于垂直配向模式的液晶显示面板10,液晶13为负性液晶,基于液晶13的排列方向必须垂直于电场力的方向,因此图示第一方向D1为竖直方向,第二方向D2为水平方向,第一电场为竖直电场,第二电场为水平电场。
在本发明实施例中,在液晶显示面板10由常白显示转变为常黑显示这一过程中,控制液晶13偏转的非锚定力而是力度较大的电场力,因此能够减少下降时间,从而缩短响应时间,即使液晶13之间的粘度较大或者液晶显示面板10处于低温环境时下,也能保持快速的响应时间,改善图像显示时的卡顿现象,确保显示品质。
在前述基础上,所述第一电极21和第二电极22中的一个可以与像素电极112所施加的电压的极性相同,另一个与公共电极122所施加的电压的极性相同。另外,第一电极21和第二电极22的尺寸可以相同,例如,沿图1所示的第二方向D2,第一电极21的宽度和第二电极22的宽度相同。进一步地,第一电极21和第二电极22中的一个可以与像素电极112的制造材质相同,另一个可以与公共电极122的制造材质相同,例如,第一电极21与公共电极122的制造材质相同,第二电极22与像素电极112的制造材质相同,此时,可以将第一电极21视为第二公共电极,且公共电极122视为第一公共电极,同理可将第二电极22视为第二像素电极,且像素电极112视为第一像素电极,图2所示状态下,液晶显示面板10可视为VA(VerticalAlignment,垂直配向)模式的液晶显示面板,图3所示状态下,液晶显示面板10可视为IPS(In-PlaneSwitching,横向电场效应显示)模式的液晶显示面板。
本发明实施例还提供一种图4所示的液晶显示装置40,其包括上述图2和图3所示的液晶显示面板10以及其他组件,例如背光模组41、前框组件42。由于液晶显示装置40也具有液晶显示面板10的上述设计,因此亦具有相同的有益效果。其中,液晶显示装置40可以为智能手机、平板电脑、电视机、导航仪等具有显示功能的任何终端。

Claims (10)

1.一种液晶显示面板,具有相对间隔设置的阵列基板和彩膜基板以及夹持于两者之间的液晶,所述阵列基板包括像素电极,所述彩膜基板包括公共电极,其特征在于,
所述阵列基板和所述彩膜基板还都包括交错间隔设置的第一电极和第二电极,两基板上的所述第一电极相对应、所述第二电极相对应;
在对所述公共电极和所述像素电极施加极性相反的电压时,未对所述第一电极和所述第二电极施加电压,所述公共电极和所述像素电极之间形成第一电场,以控制沿第一方向排列的液晶偏转为沿第二方向排列,其中所述第一方向垂直于所述第二方向;
在对所述第一电极和所述第二电极施加极性相反的电压时,未对所述公共电极和所述像素电极施加电压,相邻设置的所述第一电极和所述第二电极之间形成第二电场,以控制沿所述第二方向排列的所述液晶偏转为沿所述第一方向排列。
2.根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述第一方向为竖直方向,所述第二方向为水平方向。
3.根据权利要求2所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述液晶为负性液晶,所述第一电场为竖直电场,所述第二电场为水平电场。
4.根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述第一电极和所述第二电极位于同一平面上,且两者与所述像素电极之间设置有第一绝缘层、与所述公共电极之间设置有第二绝缘层。
5.根据权利要求4所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述公共电极为一整面透明电极层。
6.根据权利要求4所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述公共电极为沿所述彩膜基板表面间隔排布的条状结构。
7.根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述第一电极和所述第二电极中的一个与所述像素电极所施加的电压的极性相同,另一个与所述公共电极所施加的电压的极性相同。
8.根据权利要求7所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述第一电压和所述第二电极的尺寸相同。
9.根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述第一电极和所述第二电极中的一个与所述像素电极的制造材质相同,另一个与所述公共电极的制造材质相同。
10.一种液晶显示装置,其特征在于,所述液晶显示装置包括权利要求1-9任意一项所述的液晶显示面板。
