Abstract

本发明公开了一种像素单元驱动电路、驱动方法及显示装置。本发明通过面板设计扫描信号线奇偶行交替采用NMOS管、PMOS管开关像素元件,并且扫描信号线和数据线连接的开关像素元件水平(垂直)交替采用NMOS管PMOS管,结合扫描时序,可通过高低电平分时扫描技术,实现数据线和像素电极之间的电压差在正和负之间交替改变,改善数据线和像素电极之间的寄生电容而引起产生的垂直串扰。

像素单元驱动装置、方法和显示装置
技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种液晶面板像素驱动装置及其驱动方法、以及显示装置。
背景技术
薄膜晶体管液晶显示器(ThinFilmTransistor-LiquidCrystalDisplay,简称TFT-LCD)是当前主流的平板显示器。低温多晶硅(LowTemperaturePoly-Silicon;LTPS)技术是新一代的薄膜晶体管显示器,具有更高的分辨率和更佳的画面显示品质。薄膜晶体管液晶显示器的基本结构包括由两块基板组合而成的液晶面板。通过给基板施加电场,形成一定的液晶电容以控制液晶转向。为了防止由于长时间使用单向电场等导致的图像劣化,需要不断地反转数据电压相对公共电压的极性。小尺寸液晶显示器为减小功耗,通常采用列反转模式。与点反转相比,列反转在垂直串扰等方面明显较差。
图1示出了传统像素单元驱动电路的结构示意图。如图1所示,面板组件包括:多个扫描信号线G1-Gn和多个数据线D1-Dm以及与所述扫描信号线和所述数据线相连的像素单元。所述扫描信号线和所述数据线与所述像素单元的开关元件交叉连接并且以矩阵形式排列,从而构成了像素单元驱动电路。一般低温多晶硅(LTPS)阵列的像素开关元件为NMOS管,其驱动方法如图1所示,栅极输出电压仅有两种值,一为打开电压(高电平),一为关闭电压(低电平)。在每一帧T画面下,G1在输出高电平t1时,像素开关元件接通,G1行像素D1-Dn充电;G1输出低电平t2时,像素开关元件关断,G1行像素D1-Dn保持;G1输出低电平的同时,G2行输出高电平,可以依次类推G2-Gm行工作模式。然而,当G1行像素D1-Dn充电时,数据线D1-Dn上的数据信号将贯穿G1-Gm行的像素D1-Dn。虽然薄膜晶体管不导通,但是数据线与像素电极之间的电容耦合作用也会影响到G2-Gm行的像素D1-Dn的保持状态,从而引起显示画面的垂直串扰。而且,当分辨率更高时,上述问题会更为严重。
图2示出了像素单元基本结构的示意图。如图2所示,每个像素单元包括与扫描信号线G1-Gn之一和数据线D1-Dm之一连接的开关元件Q。一般情况下开关元件可以采用NMOS晶体管,也可以采用PMOS晶体管。
图1和图2所示的传统像素单元中需要不断地反转数据电压相对于公共电压的极性,所采用的列反转在垂直串扰等方面明显较差。
发明内容
为了克服列反转的垂直串扰,本发明提出了一种像素单元驱动电路和方法。
根据本发明的一个方面,提出了一种像素单元驱动电路,用于对像素单元的发光元件进行驱动,所述像素单元驱动电路包括:
多个扫描信号线,用于提供扫描信号;
多个数据线,用于提供数据信号,
其中所述扫描信号线和所述数据线与所述像素单元的开关元件交叉连接以形成矩阵形式的像素单元驱动电路,相邻的开关元件交替地采用极性相反的开关元件,并且与所述开关元件相连的扫描信号线交替地采用相应的高低电平。
根据本发明的另一个方面,提出了一种像素单元驱动方法,用于对像素单元的发光元件进行驱动,所述像素单元驱动方法包括:将所述扫描信号线和所述数据线与所述像素单元的开关元件交叉连接以形成矩阵形式的像素单元驱动电路;以及用高低电平交替地驱动极性相反的开关元件。
根据本发明的又一个方面,提出了一种显示装置,包括如上所述的像素单元驱动电路。
根据本发明实施例,通过面板设计扫描信号线奇偶行交替采用NMOS管、PMOS管开关像素元件,并且每行开关像素元件与相邻的扫描信号线相连,即扫描信号线和数据线连接的开关像素元件水平(垂直)交替采用NMOS管PMOS管,结合扫描时序,可通过高低电平分时扫描技术,实现数据线和像素电极之间的电压差在正和负之间交替改变,改善数据线和像素电极之间的寄生电容而引起产生的垂直串扰。

具体实施方式
为使本发明的目的、技术方案和优点更加清楚明白,以下结合具体实施例,并参照附图,对本发明实施例进一步详细说明。
本发明所有实施例中采用的开关晶体管和驱动晶体管均可以为薄膜晶体管或场效应管或其他特性相同的器件。优选地,本发明实施例中使用的薄膜晶体管可以是氧化物半导体晶体管。由于这里采用的开关晶体管的源极、漏极是对称的,所以其源极、漏极可以互换。在本发明实施例中,为区分晶体管除栅极之外的两极,将其中一个电极称为源极,另一电极称为漏极。
图3示出了本发明实施例的一种像素驱动单元的结构示意图。如图3所示,在所述像素单元驱动电路中,扫描信号线G1-Gn水平方向相互平行,数据线D1-Dm垂直方向相互平行。扫描信号线G1-Gn与交替地采用NMOS晶体管和PMOS管的开关元件相连。在这里,相邻开关元件交替的间隔为一行和一列。具体地,奇数行的扫描信号线与一种极性的开关元件相连,偶数行的扫描信号线与另一种极性的开关元件相连。当然,开关元件交替的间隔也可以是两行、三行等等和两列、三列等等。另外,每行开关元件与数据相连,即与扫描信号线G1-Gn和数据线D1-Dm连接的开关元件Q交替采用NMOS晶体管和PMOS管。也就是说,沿每一行和每一列的任意相邻两个像素单元的开关元件都是极性相反的晶体管。因此,数据线和像素电极之间的电压差在正和负之间交替改变,从而消除了由于数据线和像素电极之间的寄生电容而引起的在正和负之间交替变化的电压变化。这是针对列反转模式实现的本发明的像素单元驱动电路。
图4示出了本发明实施例的另一种像素驱动单元的结构示意图。如图4所示,与扫描信号线G1-Gn和数据线D1-Dm连接的开关元件Q垂直(水平)地间隔两个交替采用NMOS晶体管和PMOS晶体管。由此,以两行和两列为单位实现了区域反转方式,数据线和像素电极之间的电压差在正和负之间也交替改变。
图5从数据线电压的角度描述了现有的像素单元驱动电路的操作示意图。如图5所示,所述像素单元驱动电路采用列反转驱动方式在某一个时刻,奇数列的开关元件上的数据线电压为正;而偶数列的开关元件上的数据电压为负;在下一个数据周期,奇数列的开关元件上的数据线电压为负,而偶数列的开关元件上的数据电压为正。图5的箭头前是第一帧画面,图5的箭头后是第二帧画面。当采用列反转驱动模式时,例如在给G1行充电的同时,数据线上的信号将贯穿G1-Gm,数据信号与像素电极间的耦合作用也会影响到其他行的像素D1-Dn的保持状态,引起画面垂直方向串扰。在数据电压由“+”变成“-”的情况下,针对某一个具体的开关元件而言是按点扫描,针对从上到下的像素单元会存在耦合、延时和垂直串扰。在时序上相邻的数据信号的驱动期间,由于相邻列的开关元件极性相同,因此在前一个数据信号驱动周期为正驱动电压的数据信号,在下一个数据信号驱动周期变换为负驱动电压的数据信号,从而使得数据线和像素电极之间的电压差在正和负之间交替改变。
图6从数据线电压的角度描述了根据本发明实施例的像素单元驱动电路的操作示意图。如图6所示,像素单元的开关元件的极性同时以行和列为单位交替地改变。具体地,像素单元的相邻开关元件的极性沿行和列均相反。本发明该实施例采用了两个帧反转方式的叠加来实现点反转驱动。如图6所示,箭头上面是第一帧画面,箭头下面是第二帧画面;“+”号左右两侧按照列反转驱动模式,通过两次操作来提供扫描信号。因为采用了列反转和帧反转相结合的方式,在每次驱动周期期间只需要向一半的像素施加电压,从而可以更加省电。类似的,在时序上相邻的数据信号的驱动期间,由于相邻行和相邻列的开关元件极性均相反,因此在前一个数据信号驱动周期为正驱动电压的数据信号,在下一个数据信号驱动周期变换为负驱动电压的数据信号,从而使得数据线和像素电极之间的电压差在正和负之间交替改变,改善数据线和像素电极之间的寄生电容而引起产生的垂直串扰。
本发明还公开了一种显示装置,包括多个上述像素单元驱动电路。所述显示装置可以为:液晶面板、电子纸、手机、平板电脑、电视机、显示器、笔记本电脑、数码相框、导航仪等任何具有显示功能的产品或部件。

Claims (9)

1.一种像素单元驱动电路,用于对像素单元的发光元件进行驱动,所述像素单元驱动电路包括:
多个扫描信号线,用于提供扫描信号;
多个数据线,用于提供数据信号;
其中所述扫描信号线和所述数据线与所述像素单元的开关元件交叉连接以形成矩阵形式的像素单元驱动电路,并且任意相邻的开关元件交替地采用极性相反的开关元件,
其中与所述开关元件相连的扫描信号线交替地采用相应的高低电平来驱动所述开关元件。
2.根据权利要求1所述的像素单元驱动电路,其中所述开关元件交替地采用NMOS晶体管和PMOS晶体管。
3.根据权利要求2所述的像素单元驱动电路,其中所述开关元件奇偶列交替地采用NMOS晶体管和PMOS晶体管。
4.根据权利要求2所述的像素单元驱动电路,其中所述开关元件奇偶行交替地采用NMOS晶体管和PMOS晶体管。
5.根据权利要求1所述的像素单元驱动电路,其中交替间隔是多行或多列。
6.根据权利要求1所述的像素单元驱动电路,其中所述开关元件的极性交替的间隔是一个像素。
7.根据权利要求1所述的像素单元驱动电路,其中奇数行的扫描信号线与一种极性的开关元件相连,偶数行的扫描信号线与另一种极性的开关元件相连。
8.一种像素单元驱动方法,用于对像素单元的发光元件进行驱动,所述像素单元驱动方法包括:
将所述扫描信号线和所述数据线与所述像素单元的开关元件交叉连接以形成矩阵形式的像素单元驱动电路;以及
用高低电平交替地驱动极性相反的开关元件。
9.一种显示装置,包括根据权利要求1至7中任一项所述的像素单元驱动电路。
