Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明整体涉及制造诸如瓶的容器,由塑料(主要为热塑性塑料,例如,PET)制成的预制件通过吹塑或拉伸吹塑生产所述容器。更加具体地,本发明涉及制造热灌注容器,即,所述容器准备好用处于高温条件(通常高于制成容器的材料的玻璃态转变温度)下的液体进行灌注。
背景技术
传统预制件由开口圆柱形螺纹上部分或颈部和大体圆柱形壁部分以及封闭的圆形底部部分构成,所述传统预制件通常由注塑形成,但是也能够由压缩成型形成,所述开口圆柱形螺纹上部分或颈部的下端部终止于环形突出部,从而形成支撑箍(其用于在制造和包装处理的不同步骤中承载预制件和容器),所述壁部分在支撑箍下方延伸,所述封闭圆形底部部分在壁部分下方延伸。
在传统吹塑处理期间,预制件承受轴向(或纵向)拉伸和径向(或环向)拉伸,以形成容器。组合的纵向和环向拉伸向材料提供了分子双定向,由此成品容器具有良好的结构刚度,所述结构刚度通常足以抵抗因成品容器内液体的液体静压力所产生的机械应力。
然而,双定向在材料中诱发了剩余应力。在热灌注期间(尤其是在液体的温度高于材料的玻璃态转变温度的情况下)释放这种剩余应力,由此致使容器变形,该变形能够使得容器变得不适于使用,并且因此不适于销售。
为了减小容器在热灌注期间所发生的变形,已知在模具内实施吹塑,所述模具设置有侧壁和模具基部,以预定温度加热所述侧壁,并且通过称作热定型的热处理完成吹制,凭借此,容器保持与预定温度介于80℃至180℃之间的侧壁接触一预定时间(通常为若干秒)。
通常,设置有两个侧壁。两个侧壁一般称作“半体模具”。两个侧壁能够运动离开彼此以及运动离开模具基部,以允许引入预制件或移除成品容器。在吹塑步骤期间,侧壁放置成紧密接触在一起并且与模具基部紧密接触。
然而,热定型仅仅解决了热灌注容器变形问题的一部分。实际上,在冷却时,带盖的容器中的液体和液体上的空气的体积变小,这趋于使得容器收缩。
为了降低这种收缩的明显效果,已经考虑了若干解决方案。这些解决方案总体关注容器的形状。
例如,已经提出为容器本体装备可变形侧面板,所述可变形侧面板在收缩作用下向内弯曲,而在打开容器时向外弯回。由于本体的柔性可能导致发生意外喷洒,用户必须小心操纵这种容器。
还已经提出了设置一种具有基部部分的容器,所述基部部分能够承受施加到容器的多种应力和应变,例如参见美国专利No.6,896,147(转让给Graham)。
最近,已经提出了赋予容器的底部以特殊形状,所述特殊形状的底部能够吸收因收缩而造成的变形的一部分,而容器本体设置有刚性(即,耐热灌注变形)结构,例如参见美国专利No.7,451,886(转让给Amcor)。
从用户的观点来看,可变形底部在容器感觉刚性方面比可变形侧面板具有优势,由此显著降低了操纵期间发生喷洒的风险。然而,由可变形底部变形吸取的真空量可能不足并且导致本体变形,所述本体可能呈现椭圆状(技术人员称这种众所周知的变形为“椭圆化”)。
美国专利申请No.2008/0047964(Denner等人,转让给CO2PAC)公开了一种容器,所述容器包括位于容器的基部部分中的压力面板。压力面板能够在向外倾斜位置和向内倾斜位置之间运动,以便补偿容器内部的压力变化。为了减轻容器内的全部真空力或一部分真空力,通过机械推动器使得压力面板从向外倾斜位置运动,以将压力面板推入到向内倾斜位置中。通过使得压力面板从向外倾斜位置倒转至向内倾斜位置减小了容器的内容积。
Denner还提供了吹塑这种塑料容器的示例性方法,所述方法包括将软化的聚合物材料(诸如PET)包封在具有侧壁部分和模具基部部分的吹塑模具内,所述模具基部部分能够相对于侧模具部分沿着竖直方向在缩回位置和延伸位置之间运动。模具基部部分向上移动到模腔中,以便形成深置在容器的底部部分内的横向压力面板。
尽管Denner提供了一种解决方案,其在理论上缓解针对可变形底部的之前解决方案所存在的缺陷,因为其最大化了真空补偿量,但是Denner未能公开允许形成目标容器的整个处理,而是仅仅描述了通过可动的基部模具部分深置于压力面板,可以注意到的是,已知所述压力面板的用法,例如参见美国专利No.4,035,455(Rosenkranz等人)。特别地,Denner未能指出预制件的特定结构特征和处理的特定特征,其应当用于允许准确形成目标容器,其中,材料适当分布在整个容器内。
发明内容
本发明的主要目的是减轻现有技术的上述缺陷。
本发明的目的是提供了一种制造热灌注容器的完整方法,所述热灌注容器设置有高直立环和中央的向外倾斜的可倒转隔膜。
本发明的另一个目的是增强这种热灌注容器的性能。
本发明的又一个目的是增加这种热灌注容器的稳定性而同时有助于可倒转隔膜倒转。
因此,提供了一种由塑料预制件通过吹塑所述预制件制造热灌注容器的方法,其中,所述容器设置有基部,所述基部包括高直立环和中央的向外倾斜的可倒转隔膜,其中,所述预制件具有开口颈部、壁和封闭的底部,所述方法包括以下步骤:
-以大于塑料的玻璃态转变温度的温度加热预制件;
-将这种已加热的预制件引入到模具中,所述模具设置有模具基部和侧壁,所述侧壁以预定温度加热;
-吹塑预制件以形成容器,用于后续的热灌注应用;
其中:
-所述预制件的壁具有大体圆柱形的主要分段和毗邻底部的增加厚度的下端分段,由此拉伸所述下端分段,以形成容器的高直立环,并且底部的厚度低于下端分段,由此拉伸底部以形成容器的可倒转隔膜;
-预制件承受介于3.4和3.9之间的纵向拉伸比和介于3.5和3.9之间的环向拉伸比。
根据多个实施例,单独或组合地使用下述特征:
-拉伸比介于3.6和3.8之间;
-环向拉伸比介于3.7和3.8之间;
-预制件的下端分段的壁厚比主要分段的壁厚大大约10%;
-底部具有中央区域,所述中央区域具有基本恒定的壁厚;
-中央区域的壁厚小于下端分段的壁厚的80%;

具体实施方式
图1图解了适于用热产品(诸如,茶、果汁或运动饮料)灌注的热灌注容器1。
容器1包括上开口圆柱形带螺纹的上部部分或颈部2,所述上部部分或颈部2在其下端部处终止于具有更大直径的支撑箍3中。在支撑箍3的下方,容器1包括肩部4,所述肩部4通过具有短长度的圆柱形上端部分连接到支撑箍3。
在肩部4下方,容器1具有壁部分5,所述壁部分5围绕容器主轴线X为大体圆柱形。如图1和2所示,壁部分5可以包括环形加强肋6,所述环形加强肋6能够抵抗应力,否则所述应力趋于使得壁部分5在以水平截面观察时变成椭圆形的(这种变形是标准的并且被称作椭圆化)。
颈部2具有以D1标示的外径(在螺纹之间获得)并且壁部分5具有以D2标示的总直径。
在壁部分5的下端部处,容器1具有基部7,所述基部7封闭容器1并且允许容器1放置在诸如桌子的平面上。
容器基部7包括:直立环8,所述直立环8是如在下文解释的高直立环;和中央的、向外倾斜的可倒转隔膜9,所述可倒转膜隔膜9能够在已经用产品灌注、加盖以及冷却容器1之后被向上(即,相对于容器1向内)推动(例如,机械推动),以补偿由产品冷却所产生的真空。
直立环8连接到容器位于容器下端部分10处的壁部分5、内部部分11和支撑凸缘12。内部部分11将支撑凸缘12连接到隔膜9。
在一个优选实施例中,壁部分5的下端部分10在如图3所示的以横向截面观察时具有弧形形状,其中凹面相对于容器1向内转,由此支撑凸缘12的以D3标示的外径小于壁部分5的总直径D2。
内部部分11具有截头圆锥形形状,并且当以如图3所示的横向截面观察时,所述内部部分11以拔模角相对于容器1向内倾斜。
内部部分11的圆锥形形状向处于倒转位置(图3中的虚线)中的隔膜9提供了穹窿加强和锁止功能,由此通过限制内部部分11的其与隔膜9接合的接合部处的直径来防止隔膜9相对于内部部分11从其倒转位置铰接返回。结果,防止隔膜9在容器内含物的仅仅液体静压力的作用下便反转回到其初始位置(图3中的实线)。
内部部分11具有轴向延伸,所述轴向延伸对支撑凸缘的外径D3而言非常重要,因此将表述“高直立环”命名为直立环8。更加具体地,内部部分11的轴向延伸(或高度)H4大于支撑凸缘12的外径D3的1/10,以及优选地介于支撑凸缘12的外径D3的1/10和1/5之间:
在对应于图3的图解的一个优选实施例中,内部部分11的高度H4是支撑凸缘12的外径D3的大约1/6。

另外,在如图1所示并且用图3的实线示出的容器1的仅仅吹制而未灌注的构造中,支撑凸缘12不能在垂直于容器轴线的平面内完全延伸,而是呈现截头圆锥形形状,并且当以图1的横向截面观察时显示出相对于垂直于容器轴线X的平面向内倾斜小角度A1。这提供了在作用在处于其向上倒转位置中的隔膜9(图3中的虚线)上的液体静压力条件下的弹性和吸收效果,由此作用在隔膜9上的压力导致支撑凸缘12枢转并且与平面支撑表面抵接而非使得隔膜9倒转回到其初始位置(图3中的实线)。
在如图1所示并且用图3的实线示出的容器1的仅仅吹制而未灌注的构造中,可倒转隔膜9从外边缘13向内且向下延伸直到更光滑的内边缘14,所述外边缘13具有尖锐顶部,在所述尖锐顶部处,隔膜9连接到高直立环8的内部部分11的上端部,在所述更光滑的内边缘14处,隔膜9连接到中央向上突出的凹陷部15。
在一个优选实施例中,隔膜9的径向延伸或宽度(以W5标示)介于支撑凸缘12的外径(以R3标示)的50%和80%之间,以及优选地为支撑凸缘12的外径的大约60%(其中,R3是D3的一半):

另外,隔膜的轴向延伸或高度(以H5标示)使得隔膜的内边缘在垂直于容器轴线X并且由高直立环8的外边缘限定的直立平面的略微上方延伸。
换言之,隔膜9的高度H5略微小于高直立环8的高度H4。在一个优选实施例中,隔膜9的高度H5大于直立环8的高度H4的85%,优选地为直立环8的高度H4的大约90%:

在图4和图5中,更加详细地示出了预制件16,由所述预制件16形成上述容器1。通过由单种塑料材料(优选地PET)注塑或压缩成型而制成预制件16。
预制件16的颈部2与容器1的颈部相同(所述颈部在吹制容器期间没有发生变化),所述预制件16在其下端部处也终止于支撑箍3。
在支撑箍3下方,预制件16具有本体17,所述本体17包括壁18并且在壁18的下端处具有封闭的底部19,所述封闭的底部19使得预制件16终止于与颈部2相对的下侧处。预制件本体17(即,支撑箍3下方)的长度标示为L。
在预制件的壁18和底部19中,预制件16具有外表面20和内表面21。
如图4所示,预制件16的壁18由大体圆柱形的主分段22、使得主分段22向上终止于箍3并且连接到箍3的上端分段23和使得主分段22向下终止于底部19并且连接到底部19的下端分段24构成。
在容器1的吹塑期间,主分段22形成容器1的壁部分5;上端分段23形成容器1的肩部4;下端分段24形成容器1的高直立环8;并且预制件16的底部19形成可倒转隔膜9和中央突出凹陷部15,如图7中的箭头所示。
主分段22的在其与上端分段23接合的接合部处测量的总直径标示为D6。
在示出的实施例中,其中,预制件16对应于小容量的容器1(即,小于1l,诸如0.5l或0.6l),主分段22的总直径D6小于颈部2的直径D1。在一个可替代实施例中,其中,预制件对应于更大容量的容器(即,大于1l,诸如为1.5l或2l),这种关系可以颠倒。

外周区域30的减小的壁厚和预制件底部19的中央区域29中的相对更小(并且恒定不变)的壁厚允许更好地压印可倒转的隔膜9以及允许可倒转膜9中的材料的厚度减小,由此有助于隔膜9倒转,如将在下文公开的那样。
通过吹塑单元31由预制件16制造热灌注容器1,所述吹塑单元31包括吹制模具32和拉伸杆33,如图6和图7所示。
吹制模具32具有侧壁34A、34B,所述侧壁34A、34B包括未示出的加热器件(诸如用于使得诸如热水或热油的加热流体循环流动的孔,或接收于侧壁34A、34B内的电热器),用于在远远大于平均环境温度的预定温度条件下加热侧壁34A、34B,在一个优选实施例中,所述预定温度为大约80℃至180℃。
侧壁34A、34B一起限定了接收预制件16的模腔35的至少一部分并且形成了壁部分5的对应压印部,所述壁部分5包括容器1的下端部分10和肩部4。
吹制模具32还具有模具基部36,所述模具基部36具有形成容器基部7的对应压印部的上表面37,所述容器基部7包括支撑凸缘12、内部部分11、隔膜9和中央突出凹陷部15。侧壁34A、34B连同模具基部36一起限定了容器1的整个模腔35。
模具基部36能够相对于侧壁34A、34B在缩回位置(图6)和升高位置(图7)之间运动,在所述缩回位置中,上表面37在待吹塑的容器基部7下方延伸,在所述升高位置中,上表面37封闭模腔35并且在待吹塑的容器基部7的精确位置处延伸。
这在吹塑期间提供了材料的过度拉伸,由此在模具基部36的缩回位置中,预制件16的材料首先被拉伸越过容器基部7的最终位置,然后,模具基部36运动到其升高位置,以推动已拉伸的材料直到形成容器基部7的最终形状为止。
这种处理允许更高的压印质量、更好的材料厚度,并且因此从下端部分10至内部部分11具有更好的刚度。
在容器1的拉伸吹塑期间,定中标志27被接收在相应凹陷部38中,所述相应凹陷部38轴向形成在拉伸杆33的下端部末端处。这确保适当定中预制件16,直到其抵达模具基部36为止。
在容器1吹塑结束时,中央向外突出部28被接收在轴向形成于模具基部36中的中央凹陷部39内。这确保通过使得模具基部36从缩回位置移动到其升高位置而在向上推动容器基部7期间适当定中容器基部7。
在容器1的吹塑期间,预制件16承受介于3.4和3.9之间的纵向拉伸比和介于3.5和3.9之间的环向拉伸比。
纵向拉伸比是在如图1所示的轴向截面中的预制件16的外表面20和内表面21之间(即,从紧邻箍3的下方至底部19中心)沿着本体17获得的平均线40的展开长度和在如图1所示的同一轴向截面中容器1的从紧邻箍3下方至基部7中心的展开长度之比。
环向拉伸比是在平均线40处获得的主分段22的平均直径D7(即,大约主分段长度的一半)和容器1的壁部分5的总直径D2之比。
在一个优选实施例中,纵向拉伸比介于3.6和3.8之间。而在一个优选实施例中,环向拉伸壁介于3.7和3.8之间。
与上述公开的材料分布相组合,这种拉伸比允许在吹塑期间更好地压印容器的壁部分5和基部。更加具体地,这有助于压印容器1的壁部分5上的加强肋6,所述加强肋6提供了壁部分5抵抗因容器1内的真空而发生的变形的刚性,并且将容器1变形的大部分限定在容器基部7上。
在图8和图9中进一步详细示出了模具基部36。如图8所示,模具基部36包括圆柱形活塞41,凭借所述圆柱形活塞41,模具基部36能够轴向运动并且被引导到在侧壁34A、34B的底部中的相应孔42内。由形成容器基部7的对应压印部的上表面37终止活塞41,所述容器基部7包括支撑凸缘12、高直立环8的内表面11以及隔膜9和中央突出凹陷部15。
上表面37包括环形外周面43,所述环形外周面43对应于容器基部7的环形支撑凸缘12。该外周面43没有在垂直于基部模具轴线(所述基部模具轴线与预制件和容器轴线X基本相同)的平面中完全延伸,而是呈现截头圆锥形形状,并且当沿着图9的横向截面示出时相对于垂直于基部模具轴线的平面显现出向内倾斜的小角度A1,所述小角度A1介于1°和10°之间,优选地介于2°和5°之间,并且例如为大约3°。
上表面37还包括截头圆锥形的外面44,所述截头圆锥形的外面44对应于高直立环8的内部部分11。外面44从环形外周面43的内边缘向上突出直到在内部部分11和隔膜9之间的接合处对应于外表面13的尖锐顶端45为止。外面44限定了相对于平行于基部模具轴线的竖直线的拔模角A2,所述拔模角A2介于1°和10°之间,优选地介于3°和6°之间,以及例如为大约4.5°。
模具基部36的上表面37还包括向下倾斜的截头圆锥形的内面46,所述内面46对应于可倒转隔膜9。内面46从尖锐顶部45向下延伸至环形内边缘47,在所述环形内边缘47处,其连接到中央升起上推部48,所述中央升起上推部48对应于容器基部7中的中央凹陷部15。
顶部45是尖锐的,其具有以R标示的曲率半径,所述曲率半径R小于或等于1.5mm。在一个优选实施例中,顶部45的曲率半径R小于或等于0.25mm。顶部45还可以具有不可测量的曲率半径,即,曲率半径小于或等于0.1mm。这提供了容器基部7中的内部部分11和隔膜9之间的尖锐接合部,从而既允许隔膜9更好地向内倒转又允许在倒转之后容器基部7具有更好的刚度,其中,外边缘13的位于内部部分11和隔膜9之间的接合部处的尖锐顶部形成它们之间的精确铰接部(当沿着轴向截面观察时)。模具基部36的部分可以车削加工而成,特别地为了获得尖锐顶部45。
外面44和内面46一起在顶部45处限定了角A3,当沿着诸如附图9所示的轴向截面示出时,所述角A3介于50°和70°之间,以及优选地介于60°和65°之间。在一个优选实施例中,角A3为大约63°。
拔模角A2、尖锐顶部45和角A3的组合向容器基部7提供了良好的组合的模制能力和性能。特别地,如已经论述的,有助于隔膜9向上倒转,而防止隔膜向外倒转(或向后倒转),由此隔膜9被锁止在其倒转位置处。而且,在灌注之后相对于容器1中的液体的整个容积最大化抽出体积EV(即,在隔膜倒转期间移动的液体体积,如图3中的剖面线所示)。
由于内边缘47靠近由外周面43的外边缘限定的外周平面P(对应于容器1的直立面)也最大化抽出体积EV,由此内边缘47与外周平面间隔开空隙CL,所述空隙CL介于1mm和5mm之间,以及优选地为大约2mm。由于液体静压力,因此这种空隙CL允许在灌注之后容器基部7的中央凹陷部15小幅向下活塞运动,而不影响容器1直立于其支撑凸缘12上的稳定性。
在图8示出的优选实施例中,上推部48的横截面为星形的,并且上推部包括一系列凹陷部49(在示出的示例中为5个),在容器1吹塑期间通过对应压印而在容器基部7的中央凹陷部15中形成凸出加强肋50,从而加强了中央凹陷部15并且防止其在液体静压和内含物温度的组合作用下倒转。
优选地通过芯轴机械地实现了隔膜9的倒转,所述芯轴具有顶端部,所述顶端部能够被接收在中央凹陷部15中,并且在灌注、加盖和冷却容器1之后,所述芯轴向上运动,而容器1保持密封。在芯轴压力作用下,隔膜9变形并且围绕与内部部分11接合的尖锐接合部枢转,直到隔膜9向上倒转朝向图3中虚线示出的其最终位置为止,所述内部部分11略微向外弯曲。高直立环8的内部部分11随后弯回到其初始位置,在所述初始位置处,其形成弧,所述弧能够承受在内含物的液体静压作用下由隔膜9施加的屈曲和弯曲约束。
Claims (10)
1.一种用于通过吹塑塑料预制件(16)由所述预制件(16)制造热灌注容器(1)的方法,其中,所述容器(1)设置有基部(7),所述基部包括高直立环(8),其中,所述预制件(16)具有开口颈部(2)、壁(18)和封闭的底部(19),所述方法包括以下步骤:
-以大于塑料的玻璃态转变温度的温度加热所述预制件(16);
-将这种已加热的预制件(16)引入在模具(32)内,所述模具设置有模具基部(36)和侧壁(34A、34B),所述侧壁以预定温度加热;
-吹塑所述预制件(16)以形成所述容器(1),以用于后续的热灌注应用;
-其中所述预制件(16)的所述壁(18)具有大体圆柱形的主分段(22)和毗邻所述底部(19)的厚度增加的下端分段(24),由此所述下端分段(24)被拉伸以形成所述容器(1)的所述高直立环(8),并且所述底部(19)的厚度小于所述下端分段(24)的厚度;
-所述预制件(16)承受介于3.5和3.9之间的环向拉伸比;
其特征在于:
-所述预制件(16)承受介于3.4和3.9之间的纵向拉伸比,所述容器(1)设有中央的向外倾斜的可倒转隔膜(9),所述底部(19)被拉伸以形成所述容器(1)的所述可倒转隔膜(9)。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述纵向拉伸比介于3.6和3.8之间。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的方法,其中,所述环向拉伸比介于3.7和3.8之间。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述预制件(16)的所述下端分段(24)的壁厚比所述主分段(22)的壁厚大大约10%。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述底部(19)具有中央区域(29),所述中央区域具有基本恒定的壁厚。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中,所述中央区域(29)的壁厚小于所述下端分段(24)中的壁厚的80%。
7.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中,所述中央区域(29)的壁厚小于所述下端分段(24)中的壁厚的70%。
8.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中,所述中央区域(29)的壁厚为所述下端分段(24)的壁厚的大约65%。
9.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述预制件(16)由拉伸杆(33)轴向拉伸。
10.根据权利要求4所述的方法,其中,所述预制件(16)设置有定中标志(27),所述定中标志能够接收在形成于拉伸杆(33)的下端部末端处的凹陷部(38)中。
