Abstract

本发明公开了一种背光单元,包括多颗LED芯片、导光板和光学膜片组,所述导光板包括导光板主体,所述导光板主体靠近入光侧的端面开设有凹槽,多颗所述LED芯片电连接并封装于所述凹槽内。本发明还公开了一种具有该背光单元的显示装置。本发明将导光板与LED芯片封装在一起,使应用该导光板的背光单元及显示装置的结构更加紧凑,并使得产品耦光效率大大提高,另外,由于省略了固定LED芯片的基板,产品制造成本进一步降低,显示装置边框尺寸进一步缩小。同时,在导光板的LED芯片封装槽内涂覆有荧光粉,保证了显示装置的显示效果。

背光单元及显示装置
技术领域
本发明涉及背光显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种背光单元及显示装置。
背景技术
随着消费电子产品的发展,高光效、低成本成为了产品设计的重要方向。为降低显示装置的厚度,一些显示器制造厂商往往选择采用侧入式背光方式,通常的侧入式显示装置主要由液晶面板、光学膜片、导光板、LED(Light-Emitting Diode,发光二极管)光源等组成,LED光源由多颗LED灯珠打件在基板上后形成易于固定的灯条,该灯条被设置在导光板的入光侧,利用基板进行定位。但是,此种设置方式如果导光板靠近入光侧一侧与灯条的配光设计不当很容易导致漏光或耦光效率低,同时,灯条的厚度始终成为影响显示装置边框宽度的因素。
发明内容
鉴于现有技术存在的不足,本发明提供了一种提高耦光效率、有效降低显示装置边框宽度及制造成本的背光单元及显示装置。
为了实现上述的目的,本发明采用了如下的技术方案:
一种背光单元,包括多颗LED芯片、导光板和光学膜片组,所述导光板包括导光板主体,所述导光板主体靠近入光侧的端面开设有凹槽,多颗所述LED芯片电连接并封装于所述凹槽内。
其中,所述凹槽数量与所述LED芯片数量相同,每个所述凹槽内设有一个所述LED芯片。
或者,所述凹槽为一个,多颗所述LED芯片间隔设于所述凹槽内。
或者,所述凹槽为多个,每个所述凹槽内设有多个所述LED芯片。
其中,多个所述凹槽平行并间隔设置。
其中,所述导光板主体靠近入光侧的端面设有绝缘层。
其中,所述凹槽表面涂覆有荧光粉。
本发明还提供了一种显示装置,包括显示面板和上述的背光单元,所述显示面板设于所述光学膜片组上。
其中,所述的显示装置还包括背板,所述背光单元设于所述背板上。
其中,所述的显示装置还包括边框,所述边框在入光侧一侧紧贴所述导光板。
本发明将导光板与LED芯片封装在一起,使应用该导光板的背光单元及显示装置的结构更加紧凑,并使得产品耦光效率大大提高,另外,由于省略了固定LED芯片的基板,制造成本进一步降低,显示装置边框尺寸进一步缩小。同时,在导光板的LED芯片封装槽内涂覆有荧光粉,保证了显示装置的显示效果。

具体实施方式
为了使本发明的目的、技术方案及优点更加清楚明白,以下结合附图及实施例,对本发明进一步详细说明。应当理解,此处所描述的具体实施例仅仅用以解释本发明,并不用于限定本发明。
实施例1
参阅图1,本发明的显示装置包括显示面板30、背板40、边框50和背光单元(图未标),背光单元设置在背板40上,显示面板30设于背光单元顶面,与出光面相对设置,且其底面的四周设置在边框50上表面,由边框50进行支撑。边框50为框体结构,可以为胶框或铁框,背光单元设于该边框50内,边框50可对容纳于其中的背光单元起到保护和一定程度的固定作用,使整体构造更加紧凑可靠。本实施例的边框50承载于背板40上,可以理解的是,在其他实施例中,背板40也可以容纳于边框50内,或者取消背板40和边框50。
具体地,背光单元包括多颗LED芯片1、导光板10和光学膜片组20,导光板10包括导光板主体11,导光板主体11靠近入光侧的端面开设有凹槽12,同时,在凹槽12表面涂覆有荧光粉,多颗LED芯片1电连接并被封装于凹槽12内。本实施例优选采用环氧树脂进行封装,LED芯片1被完全封装于凹槽12内,使封装后的导光板10端面为平面。为提高光利用率,凹槽12底面与侧壁的夹角为钝角,优选120°~150°。
光学膜片组20由自上而下依次堆叠的上扩散片21、棱镜片22和下扩散片23组成,下扩散片23设于导光板10的上表面,上扩散片21设于显示面板30下表面,具体地,显示面板30通过两侧的遮光胶S粘贴于上扩散片21和边框50上表面,遮光胶S还可防止两侧的光泄露。LED芯片1发出的光通过导光板10散射,然后由下扩散片23集中起来均匀投射至棱镜片22上,上扩散片21将棱镜片22射出的光雾化后均匀射出,为显示面板30提供均匀的背光源。
同时结合图2,导光板10封装有LED芯片1的端面被采用涂覆等方式设有绝缘层2,本实施例中,凹槽12数量与LED芯片1数量相同,每个凹槽12内封装有一个LED芯片1。每个LED芯片的阴极和阳极分别利用两根不同的导线K电连接后引出,以便接线。
由于将LED芯片1封装于导光板10的入光侧一侧的相应的凹槽12内,并利用导线K对LED芯片1进行电连接,省去了导光板10端部用于固定LED芯片的基板或柔性线路板,节省了制造成本,提高了耦光效率的同时减薄了显示装置边框的宽度,使得显示面板30的有效显示面积更大。
实施例2
如图3,与实施例1不同的是,本实施例的导光板主体11靠近入光侧的端面只开设了一个凹槽12,多颗LED芯片1间隔设于凹槽12内,虽然导光效率不如实施例1但与现有技术相比耦光效率仍能大幅提升。
实施例3
如图4,与实施例1不同的是,本实施例的凹槽12为多个,每个凹槽12内设有多个LED芯片1。进一步优选将多个凹槽12平行并间隔设置。导线K与各个LED芯片1电连接后被引出至同一侧方便接线。
以上所述仅是本申请的具体实施方式,应当指出,对于本技术领域的普通技术人员来说,在不脱离本申请原理的前提下,还可以做出若干改进和润饰,这些改进和润饰也应视为本申请的保护范围。

Claims (9)

1.一种背光单元,其特征在于,包括多颗LED芯片(1)、导光板(10)和光学膜片组(20),所述导光板(10)包括导光板主体(11),所述导光板主体(11)靠近入光侧的端面开设有凹槽(12),多颗所述LED芯片(1)电连接并封装于所述凹槽(12)内,所述凹槽(12)底面与侧壁的夹角为钝角,所述导光板主体(11)靠近入光侧的端面设有绝缘层(2),每颗所述LED芯片(1)的阴极、阳极分别利用两根不同的导线(K)电连接后引出,所述导线(K)与各个LED芯片(1)电连接后被引出至同一侧。
2.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其特征在于,所述凹槽(12)数量与所述LED芯片(1)数量相同,每个所述凹槽(12)内设有一个所述LED芯片(1)。
3.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其特征在于,所述凹槽(12)为一个,多颗所述LED芯片(1)间隔设于所述凹槽(12)内。
4.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其特征在于,所述凹槽(12)为多个,每个所述凹槽(12)内设有多个所述LED芯片(1)。
5.根据权利要求4所述的背光单元,其特征在于,多个所述凹槽(12)平行并间隔设置。
6.根据权利要求1-5任一所述的背光单元,其特征在于,所述凹槽(12)表面涂覆有荧光粉。
7.一种显示装置,其特征在于,包括显示面板(30)和权利要求1-6任一所述的背光单元,所述显示面板(30)设于所述光学膜片组(20)上。
8.根据权利要求7所述的显示装置,其特征在于,还包括背板(40),所述背光单元设于所述背板(40)上。
9.根据权利要求7所述的显示装置,其特征在于,还包括边框(50),所述边框(50)在入光侧一侧紧贴所述导光板(10)。
