口腔可接受的:本发明的组合物意欲局部用于口,因此用于本发明的组分应是口腔可接受的,即是说,提供的量和浓度对于局部用于口而言是安全的。
如贯穿本文所用的,范围被用作描述在该范围内的每一个和所有值的速记。可选择在该范围内的任何值作为该范围的端值。此外,本文引用的所有参考文献均通过引用以其全部结合到本文中。在本公开的定义和引用的参考文献的定义有抵触的情况下,以本公开为准。
除非另外指明,否则本文和在说明书别处表示的所有百分比和量应被理解为是指重量百分比。给出的量是基于材料的有效重量。

实施例
实施例1 – 薄膜制剂
薄膜用如在下表1中的各种比例的聚(乙烯醇) (PVA)和羟丙基甲基纤维素(HPMC)制备:

如从上表看出的,PVA 10-98的使用专门地提供一种制剂,其中得到的薄膜即使在暴露于水24小时后也不溶解。在HPMC型系统中,1 x1英寸样品置于水中将缓慢地膨胀并随着时间的推移释放有效载荷的色素。自HPMC系统的释放受聚合物的亲水性以及薄膜的厚度驱动。
在基质中主要包含PVA的薄膜与含有高水平的HPMC的薄膜的比较,示于下表2中(给出的量作为在干燥形成薄膜之前在浆液中的成分的百分比):

在一体外刷牙研究中,可以看出,虽然含有至少50% PVA的薄膜制剂不会膨胀和溶解,但它们在使用中因研磨而破裂,从而释放有效载荷的色素。在该试验中经由牙刷头提供研磨,所述牙刷头在牙膏和水的存在下在口(well)中使用刷牙装置受机械驱动。

Claims (21)
1.一种口腔可接受的、不溶于水的薄膜,其在水的存在下在刷牙时崩解,其包含聚合物基质、掺入其中的可释放材料、和增塑剂,其中聚合物基质包含至少50%的聚(乙烯醇),和50%或更少的水溶性纤维素醚,且进一步的特征在于所述薄膜在不刷牙时不崩解。
2.权利要求1的薄膜,其中可释放材料是颜料或颜料的组合。
3.权利要求1或2的薄膜,其中水溶性纤维素醚是羟烷基纤维素或羟烷基纤维素的混合物。
4.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其中水溶性纤维素醚是羟丙基甲基纤维素。
5.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其中增塑剂是选自山梨醇、丙二醇、甘油、低分子量聚乙二醇及其混合物的多元醇。
6.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其中增塑剂是丙二醇。
7.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其还包含非离子表面活性剂或乳化剂。
8.权利要求7的薄膜,其中非离子表面活性剂或乳化剂是聚山梨醇酯。
9.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其中薄膜用包含颜料的粉末包衣料包衣。
10.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其中可释放材料包含不溶于水的抗微生物剂。
11.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其中薄膜在水的存在下,在大于30秒和少于180秒的刷牙时段后基本崩解。
12.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其中薄膜平均厚度是1-3密耳。
13.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其中聚合物基质包含至少75%的聚(乙烯醇),和25%或更少的水溶性纤维素醚。
14.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其包含:
1-10 wt%的水溶性纤维素醚;
30-60 wt%的聚(乙烯醇);
20-60 wt%的可释放材料;
10-30 wt%的增塑剂;和
1-5 wt%的表面活性剂。
15.前述权利要求的任一项的薄膜,其包含:
3-7 wt%的羟丙基甲基纤维素(HPMC);
40-50 wt%的聚(乙烯醇);
35-45 wt%的颜料;
15-20 wt%的丙二醇;和
2-3 wt%的聚山梨醇酯80。
16.一种洁齿剂,其包含前述权利要求的任一项的口腔可接受的薄膜的颗粒,其中在应用于口腔和刷牙时,薄膜在至少30秒和不大于约180秒后崩解并释放出可释放材料。
17.权利要求13的洁齿剂,其中可释放材料是颜料,其释放提供给用户充分刷牙的色彩信号。
18.权利要求13或权利要求14的洁齿剂,其是透明凝胶牙膏,其中薄膜颗粒可被看见。
19.一种清洁牙齿的方法,其包括用前述权利要求的任一项的洁齿剂刷牙,从而破坏薄膜并引起可释放材料的释放。
20.权利要求19的方法,其中口腔可接受的薄膜包含在薄膜中的颜料,并持续刷牙直至薄膜崩解和颜料提供给用户充分刷牙的色彩信号。
21.一种制备权利要求1-14的任一项的薄膜的方法,其包括制备聚(乙烯醇)、水溶性纤维素醚、可释放材料、增塑剂和任选的表面活性剂的水性浆液,并干燥浆液以形成薄膜。
