背景技术
旋转阀被用于很多过程控制系统应用中以控制诸如流体、气体、浆等的过程流体的一些参数。虽然过程控制系统可以使用控制阀来最终控制流体的压强、液面高度、PH等气体期望的参数,然而控制阀基本上控制流体流动的速率。
典型地,旋转球阀包括阀体,其限定流体入口和流体出口。球元件安装在阀体中,并且绕轴旋转入和旋转出与密封件的邻接,由此控制通过阀的流体流动的量。

具体实施方式
在此描述的浮动球阀密封件克服了现有技术中的多个缺陷。C-密封件的使用扩展了有用的温度能力,其高于其他相对产品,这些相对产品必须有依赖于用于辅助密封件的弹性密封件。然而,当希望成本或关断时,使用弹性密封件(例如,O-环或弹簧加载的面密封件)仍是可行的。使用面密封件作为辅助密封件为密封环提供了轴向和横向移动的自由度。为密封环提供横向移动的自由度使得密封环具有自己调节和补偿由于制造或组装的容差引起的任何球或密封件未对齐的能力。从而能够减小密封件磨损和改善关断。
在固定负载受波形弹簧影响并且受密封环保持器限制的情况下,也能够以受控和受限的方式轴向地移动密封环,以引起在阀从完毕关闭位置离开后球和密封环在行程中在一些点上断开接触。球与密封件之间的接触被限制为当阀完全关闭时阀行程的一个区域,这引起减小的密封件磨损和改善的关断。
图1为根据本公开的原理构造的旋转球阀10,并基本上包括阀体12、阀盖14、控制组件16和密封组件24。阀体12包括入口18、出口20、主流动路径22和阀盖开口25。如箭头所示,主流动路径22从入口18沿以下方向延伸至出口22,该方向基本上平行于纵轴A。入口18由入口边缘26包围。出口20由出口边缘28包围。入口边缘26和出口边缘28适于将球阀10耦合至过程控制管道,例如通过螺栓、焊接、夹具或任何其他已知装置。
控制组件16包括偏心凸轮球元件30、驱动轴32以及支持轴34。在一个实施例中,驱动轴32和支持轴34相隔一段距离。在另一些实施例中,驱动轴32和支持轴34可以一体地形成为单片,其从穿孔29延伸至盲孔36。球元件30具有对称C的轴,其与驱动轴B偏置。因此,球元件30的密封面31随着凸轮动作而移动(例如,当球元件31在关闭位置和打开位置之间旋转时密封面31沿着轴A而纵向移位)。
如上所述,球元件30通常随着凸轮动作而移动,以便利当关闭位置时的与密封组件24的可重复的密封,如图1所示。更具体地,球元件30的外部或密封面31可以限定球体(sphere)的一部分,球元件的外表面上的所有点与球元件30的天然枢轴点(即,轴C)并不等距。
为了容纳密封组件24,阀体12的公开的实施例包括内部凹部42,其安置在入口18的下游。内部凹部42安置在出口20与控制组件16的球元件30的之间。内部凹部42可以具有基本上环形的形状,包括环形面38和横向面40。
现在参考图2,其实图1中的圈II的详细视图,将描述根据本公开的教导构建的密封组件24的一个特定的实施例。
密封组件24包括安置在阀体12的内部内的密封环44。密封环44朝球元件偏置以密封地接合球元件30。密封环保持器46位于密封环的下游,并且将密封环4保持在内部凹部42内。次泄漏路径50暴露于流过旋转球阀10的流体的流体压强。第一辅助密封件,诸如C-密封件54,可以安置在密封环44与阀体12之间,以防止流体流过次泄漏路径50。
如上所述,密封组件24的密封环44具有基本上环形的形状,并可以从防止磨损的金属制成,例如铝6或具有铝6耐磨堆焊的不锈钢。如图2的横截面视图所示,可以由圆柱形密封内壁58和圆柱形密封外壁60限定密封环44,并且密封上游壁62可以从密封外壁60沿径向朝内壁58延伸。密封环突起部64可以从密封上游壁62延伸,并且密封环突起部64可以包括圆柱形侧突起壁66,其从密封上游壁62沿轴向延伸(即平行于纵轴A的方向)。端壁68可以从侧突起壁66沿平行于密封上游壁62的方向延伸。球接合面70可以在端壁68与密封内壁58之间延伸,并且球接合面70可以是凹的形状,或互补于球元件的密封面31。更具体地,球接合面70可以外形适于球元件30的密封面31的相应部分,以便当旋转球阀10移动至关闭或座位(seated)位置时,密封环44的球接合面70密封地接合球元件30的密封面31。在一个实施例中,球接合面可以是部分的球形的和凹的。球接合面70可以被耐磨堆焊以提高密封的循环寿命和防止密封管道产生粗糙面。
密封环44还包括在密封内壁58与密封外壁60之间的环形内凹部72和环形弹簧凹部74。内凹部72和弹簧凹部74可以分别具有基本上矩形的横截面形状,并且可以邻近地安置,以使得内脊76、中间脊78和外脊80形成在密封环44中。然而,内凹部72和弹簧凹部74可以具有任何适于特定应用的形状或形状的组合。内脊76、中间脊78和外脊80中的每个的底部可以轴向地与限定密封下游壁62的平面等距。内凹部72可以尺寸适于和成形成容纳第一辅助密封件54。弹簧凹部74可以尺寸适于和成形成容纳弹性元件,诸如波形弹簧84。

从保持器下游壁126至横向面40的距离可以大于密封环外壁60的长度。因此,密封环44在纵向上(基本上平行于轴A)是可移位的。因此,在由于球元件30的凸轮动作球元件30旋转至完全关闭位置之前,球接合面70接合球元件30的密封面31。更具体地,密封环保持器46可以将密封环44的轴向移位仅限制至球元件30的角旋转,其对阀的关闭起作用(例如小于从完全关闭位置起的20°的旋转)。密封环44可以将纵向地稍稍移位来容纳球元件30的剩余的凸轮动作。以这种方式,密封环44缓冲在球接合面70与密封面31之间的接触,这减小了在关闭球元件30期间的对这两个表面的机械破坏。
类似地,横向面40长于密封环44的整个宽度W。因此,密封环44朝环形面38在径向上或横向上是可移动的,以对球元件30的不对齐和/或处于可接受的容差范围中的制造误差负责。密封环外壁60可以接触环面38,以防止密封环44的进一步的径向上或横向上移动。在其他实施例中,通过物理地防止圆柱形侧突起壁66进一步向环形面38移动,保持器内壁120可以形成阻挡。
通过将密封环44陷入密封环保持器46与阀体12的横向面40之间,密封组件24的尺寸可以在纵向上被最小化,由此减小阀10的整体尺寸。
为了密封次泄漏路径50,C-密封件54的嘴部可以面对通过次泄漏路径50的流体的基本流动路径,以便流过次泄漏路径50的过程流体进入C-密封件54的嘴巴。在图2的实施例中,C-密封件54的嘴部面对密封环44的内脊76。C-密封件54可以尺寸化,以便当阀10处于打开位置(例如图2示出的)并且密封环44接触保持器下游壁126时,C-密封件54的外部的一部分不接触阀体12的横向面40。因此,当球元件处于打开位置时,过程流体的一部分可以流过在C-密封件54的外部与横向面40之间的次泄漏路径,而不进入C-密封件54的嘴部。
当球元件30移动入关闭位置(图3)时,球元件30接触密封环44的球接合面70,并且将密封环44朝阀体12的横向面40移位。当密封环44移位时,在密封环44的内凹部的顶面与阀体12的横向面40之间的距离减少,以便C-密封件54的外部可以接触横向面40、内凹部72和密封环44的中脊78。由于移位,C-密封件54被压缩,从而C-密封件54的外表面接合横向面40,由此防止过程流体在C-密封件54的下游在密封环44与阀体12之间移动。以这种方式,C-密封件54密封次泄漏路径50。
因为当球元件30接合和脱离密封环44时C-密封件54随着密封环44相对于阀体12移动,所以C-密封件被称为动态C-密封件。动态C-密封件54可以被由防腐蚀的金属制成,例如N07718(铬镍铁合金78)。因为动态C-密封件是由金属制成,旋转球阀10能够在高于使用弹性密封件的阀的温度运行。
为了将密封组件24安装至阀体12,密封组件24、C-密封件54被以前述方式首先放置至密封环44的内部凹部72,并且诸如波形弹簧84的弹性元件被以前述方式放置至弹性凹部74。随后,密封环44被放置在阀体12中在凹部42中,并且密封件保持器46被放置在密封环44之上。密封环保持器46随后被旋转至与阀体12上的相应的螺纹螺纹接合,以将密封件保持器46固定至阀体12。一旦组装完成,密封环44可以最初不被放置用于确保密封环44的球接合面70与球元件30的密封面31的一部分之间的适合的密封。然而,由于前述的密封环44的自对齐属性(例如,在轴向和径向移位的能力),在关闭旋转球阀10期间当球元件30接触球接合面70时,球元件30将轴向地和径向地移位密封环44。
