技术领域
本发明涉及用于治疗脑组织的导管组件以及用于电刺激/监测脑活动的装置。
背景技术
深部电极已经用于与癫痫和各种运动障碍有关的各种脑监测和脑刺激目的。例如,电活动的监测在弄清致癫痫的脑组织和单元的病灶以便确定随后移除或治疗的可能性上是重要的。此外,利用了深部电极的高度靶向电刺激已经用来抑制由各种运动障碍引起的不希望的行为。
可插入脑部的小型导管已经用于各种流体移除和给药目的。流体移除通常在脑损伤方面是必需的或有帮助的;同样,在各种医用场合,高度靶向给药对脑组织的非常特定部分是有效的。
在若干具体场合中,导管装置和深部电极装置两者的插入在医学上是适合的或有帮助的,但是这必然地涉及多次插入到脑组织中。流体运动和电功能经常需要或非常希望在脑组织内的大致相同的部位上进行。显然,脑组织的插入是极其危险的程序,最小化插入次数是人们所希望的。
各式各样的探针已经被制造并可利用。但是,需要对可插入脑部的探针进行改进,本发明所针对的也正是该需要。
发明内容
依照本装置,提供一种用于精确治疗脑组织的颅内导管组件。本发明的导管组件克服了现有技术的某些问题和缺陷,提供了满足多种颅内监测和治疗需求的独特结构。
本发明的导管组件包括:(a)挠性外管,所述挠性外管具有近端部、沿着所述挠性外管延伸至所述近端部的主管腔和穿过壁与所述主管腔连通的至少一个径向孔,所述管还限定了邻近管外壁表面的副管腔,所述副管腔沿着所述管外壁表面延伸至近端部;和(b)位于所述副管腔内的深部电极,所述深部电极沿着所述副管腔的长度延伸并在所述近端部外延伸,所述深部电极具有沿着所述挠性外管暴露出来的间隔开的电触点,从而便于同时进行电传感和流体流动。

本领域技术人员应当认识到,具有回弹压缩性的某些材料的密度将比具有较小回弹压缩性的材料低。更常见的是,具有较大回弹压缩性的材料在肖氏A刻度上的硬度测量值低于具有较小压缩性的材料。"硬度"与材料的压缩性有关,材料越硬,压缩性越小,反之亦然。硬度还与抗压力变形能力有关。

在非常优选的方法中,(1)提供一导管组件10,该导管组件10包括:(a)挠性外管12,所述挠性外管12具有近端部22、沿着所述挠性外管12延伸至所述近端部22的主管腔14和穿过壁与所述主管腔14连通的至少一个径向孔16,管12还限定了邻近管外壁表面20的副管腔18,所述副管腔18沿着所述管外壁表面20延伸至近端部22;和(b)位于所述副管腔18内的深部电极24,所述深部电极24沿着副管腔18的长度延伸并在近端部22外延伸,深部电极24具有沿着管12暴露出来的间隔开的电触点26;(2)将所述导管组件10插入到患者脑部中,从而便于同时进行电传感和流体流动;和(3)在导管组件10在患者脑部内的时候,从副管腔18抽出深部电极24,从而在不打算进行电传感之后允许流体流动。

Claims (17)

1.一种用于患者的颅内治疗的导管组件,其包括:
·挠性外管,所述挠性外管具有近端部、沿着所述挠性外管延伸至所述近端部的主管腔和穿过壁与所述主管腔连通的至少一个径向孔,所述挠性外管还限定了邻近管外壁表面的副管腔,所述副管腔沿着所述管外壁表面延伸至所述近端部,在横截面上,所述主管腔和副管腔为大体上圆形的,所述副管腔的尺寸小于所述主管腔的尺寸,所述管外壁表面为大体上光滑的并且具有与所述主管腔的表面大体上平行的圆柱形主要部分、与所述副管腔的表面大体上平行的圆柱形次要部分和在任一侧上的位于所述主要部分与所述次要部分之间的过渡部分,每个过渡部分是非凹入的,所述外管包括穿过所述外管的窗口;和
·位于所述副管腔内的深部电极,所述深部电极沿着所述副管腔的长度延伸并在所述近端部外延伸,所述深部电极具有沿着所述挠性外管暴露出来的间隔开的电触点,从而便于同时进行电传感和流体流动,所述窗口与所述深部电极的电触点对准;
其中,沿着所述深部电极的电触点具有的直径使得电触点至少部分地延伸到所述窗口中,从而便于电触点与脑组织电接触,并且沿着所述深部电极的电触点大体上与管外壁表面平齐。
2.如权利要求1所述的导管组件,其中,沿着所述外管并在所述外管周围设有多个径向孔。
3.如权利要求1所述的导管组件,其中,所述外管具有封闭的远端部。
4.如权利要求3所述的导管组件,还包括刚性管心针,所述刚性管心针在插入到患者脑部中期间接收在所述主管腔内,用于插入到患者脑部中,所述管心针在所述导管组件插入之后能够移除。
5.如权利要求4所述的导管组件,其中,沿着所述外管并在所述外管周围设有多个径向孔。
6.如权利要求1所述的导管组件,还包括于治疗期间在近端部处插入到所述主管腔中的鲁尔接头,所述鲁尔接头是用于将所述导管组件与排放系统相连接的连接器。
7.如权利要求6所述的导管组件,其中,沿着所述外管并在所述外管周围设有多个径向孔。
8.如权利要求1所述的导管组件,其中,在横截面上,每个过渡部分为大体上线性的。
9.如权利要求1所述的导管组件,其中,所述挠性外管的最大横截面尺寸不超过5.0毫米,最小横截面尺寸不小于1.0毫米。
10.如权利要求1所述的导管组件,其中,所述副管腔内的深部电极是能够移除的,从而在不打算进行电传感之后允许流体流动。
11.一种用于患者的颅内治疗的导管组件,其包括:
·挠性外管,所述挠性外管具有近端部、沿着所述挠性外管延伸至所述近端部的流体流动管腔和穿过壁与所述流体流动管腔连通的至少一个径向孔,所述挠性外管还限定了邻近管壁的通道,所述通道沿着所述管壁延伸至所述近端部,在横截面上,所述流体流动管腔和所述通道为大体上圆形的,所述通道的尺寸小于所述流体流动管腔的尺寸,管外壁表面为大体上光滑的并且具有与所述流体流动管腔的表面大体上平行的圆柱形主要部分、与所述通道的表面大体上平行的圆柱形次要部分和在任一侧上的位于所述主要部分与所述次要部分之间的过渡部分,每个过渡部分是非凹入的,所述外管包括穿过所述外管的窗口;和
·位于所述通道内的深部电极,所述深部电极沿着所述通道的长度延伸并在所述近端部外延伸,所述深部电极具有沿着所述挠性外管暴露出来的间隔开的电触点,所述窗口与所述深部电极的电触点对准;
其中,沿着所述深部电极的电触点具有的直径使得电触点至少部分地延伸到所述窗口中,从而便于电触点与脑组织电接触,并且沿着所述深部电极的电触点大体上与管外壁表面平齐。
12.如权利要求11所述的导管组件,其中,沿着所述外管并在所述外管周围设有多个径向孔。
13.如权利要求1所述的导管组件,其中,深部电极包括由肖氏A硬度为至少50的聚氨酯材料制成的管。
14.如权利要求13所述的导管组件,其中,聚氨酯材料的肖氏A硬度为55。
15.如权利要求1所述的导管组件,其中,所述挠性外管是肖氏A硬度为至少80的一体件式医用级弹性体管。
16.如权利要求15所述的导管组件,其中,所述一体件式医用级弹性体管的肖氏A硬度为83。
17.如权利要求15所述的导管组件,其中,深部电极包括由肖氏A硬度为至少50的聚氨酯材料制成的管。
