Abstract
本发明的目的在于提供一种非水电解液电池用密封剂组合物,该非水电解液电池用密封剂组合物即使涂布成薄膜状也能够用肉眼确认密封剂的涂布位置、涂布膜厚的均匀性,并对于用于电池的各种电解液具有优异的耐久性。该非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物的特征在于,含有(A)弹性体和(B)钴蓝颜料,相对于100质量份的(A)成分,含有0.1~20质量份的(B)成分。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种非水电解液电池用密封剂组合物,该非水电解液电池用密封剂组合物即使涂布成薄膜状也能够用肉眼确认密封剂的涂布位置、涂布膜厚的均匀性,并对于用于电池的各种电解液具有优异的耐久性。
背景技术
近年来,手机、笔记本型个人计算机等便携式电子机器显著普及。在这些便携式电子机器中多使用锂离子电池等非水系电解液电池。而且,在汽车产业中作为应对环境问题的电动汽车、混合动力车的电源,非水系电解液电池也受到关注。
非水系电解液电池经常由隔着隔膜对置配置一对电极的元件单元、电解液和收容它们的容器构成。该容器通常由具有开口部的金属框体和封口该开口部的封口体构成。另外,在金属框体和封口体之间,为了确保两者的电绝缘性,有时会设置垫片。
在非水系电解液电池中,由于水分会给电解液(特别是电解质)和电极带来恶劣影响,所以防止水分侵入元件内部就非常重要。另外,还需要防止电解液向外部漏液、蒸发。因此,在金属框体和封口体之间,在垫片和金属框体或封口体之间使用密封剂。
另外,为了提高视觉确认性,密封剂可以含有颜料、染料等。例如在专利文献1中公开了一种含有无机颜料的密封剂,在专利文献2中公开了一种含有有机颜料酞菁蓝的密封剂。

发明内容
发明所要解决的课题
但是,对于专利文献1、2中公开的密封剂而言,由于色调暗所以难以区分垫片或金属框体的颜色,且难以用肉眼或者感应器进行确认。特别是在将密封剂涂布成20μm以下的薄膜状而使用的情况下,如果不大量配合颜料,则不能够确保视觉确认性。另外,如果大量配合颜料,则由于膜会硬化,所以带来的问题是密封性会降低。
本发明是鉴于上述以往的问题点而完成的,其目的是提供一种非水电解液电池用密封剂组合物,该非水电解液电池用密封剂组合物即使涂布成薄膜状也能够用肉眼确认密封剂的涂布位置、涂布膜厚的均匀性,并对于用于电池的各种电解液具有优异的耐久性(耐电解液性)。
用于解决问题的方案
本发明人等为了完成上述课题而进行了潜心研究,结果发现,通过特定的密封剂组合物可以实现上述目的,从而完成了本发明。
接下来说明本发明的要旨。
[1]一种非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,所述组合物含有(A)弹性体和(B)钴蓝颜料,相对于100质量份的(A)成分,含有0.1~20质量份的(B)成分。
[2]根据[1]所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,上述(A)成分为选自由丁基橡胶、异丁烯橡胶、丁二烯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯橡胶和乙烯-丙烯-二烯橡胶组成的组中的至少一种。
[3]根据[1]或[2]所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,上述(B)成分为CoAl2O4或CoO·Al2O3中的至少一种。
[4]根据[1]~[3]中任一项所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,上述(B)成分的平均粒径为0.01~100μm,比重为2.0~6.0g/cm3。
[5]根据[1]~[4]中任一项所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,所述组合物还含有(C)有机溶剂。
[6]一种非水系电解液电池,所述非水系电解液电池包括:隔着隔膜对置配置一对电极的元件单元、非水系电解液和收容它们的容器,其特征在于,
上述容器包括:具有开口部的金属框体和封口该开口部的封口体,在上述金属框体和上述封口体之间的至少一部分中具有密封部,上述密封部含有[1]~[5]中任一项所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物。
发明效果
本发明的密封剂组合物,通过提高视觉确认性,即使涂布成薄膜状也能够用肉眼确认密封剂的涂布位置、涂布膜厚的均匀性,因此,可以降低密封的不良率,对于提高生产率具有很大帮助。另外,由于本发明的密封剂组合物对于用于电池的各种电解液具有优异的耐久性,所以可以维持电池的性能、大幅地提高安全性。
具体实施方式
以下详细地说明本发明。需要说明的是,在本说明书中也将非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物简称为“密封剂组合物”或“密封剂”。
作为用于本发明的(A)成分的弹性体,例如可以列举:异丁烯-异戊二烯共聚物(丁基橡胶)、丁二烯橡胶、苯乙烯-丁二烯橡胶、异戊二烯橡胶、天然橡胶、戊间二烯、丁腈橡胶、1,3-戊二烯橡胶、异丁烯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯-二烯橡胶、氨基甲酸酯(urethane)橡胶、有机硅橡胶、丙烯酸橡胶、氯磺化聚乙烯橡胶、氟橡胶、乙烯-醋酸乙烯酯共聚物橡胶等,但是并不限定于这些。其中,从容易均匀地分散后述的(B)成分且耐电解液性优异的观点出发,优选丁基橡胶、异丁烯橡胶、丁二烯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯橡胶和乙烯-丙烯-二烯橡胶,更优选丁基橡胶、乙烯-丙烯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯-二烯橡胶。需要说明的是,这些可以单独使用或混合两种以上使用。
作为用于本发明的(B)成分的钴蓝颜料,可以列举:CoAl2O4或CoO·Al2O3等。(B)成分的平均粒径优选为0.01~100μm,更优选为0.05~50μm,特别优选为0.1~20μm。如果平均粒径为0.01μm以上,则密封剂的视觉确认性进一步提高;如果为100μm以下,则可以发挥优异的密封性。需要说明的是,在本说明书中,平均粒径的意思是一次粒径,采用使用激光衍射装置而测定的D50值。另外,从防止组合物储藏后(B)成分沉淀的观点出发,(B)成分的比重优选2.0~6.0g/cm3的范围。需要说明的是,在本说明书中,比重采用通过以日本JISK5101为基准的方法而测定的值。
作为(B)成分的市售品,例如可以列举:42-216A、42-218A、42-219A、42-250A(东罐材料科技株式会社(Tokan Material Technology Co.,Ltd.)制)等。
另外,关于(B)成分的配合比例,相对于100质量份的(A)成分,优选为0.1~20质量份,更优选为0.3~15质量份,特别优选为0.5~10质量份。如果为0.1质量份以上,则密封剂的视觉确认性进一步提高;如果为20质量份以下,即使在常温下长期保存密封剂组合物,(B)成分也难以沉淀,因此,可以确保稳定的视觉确认性。
为了将密封剂组合物中的上述(A)成分和(B)成分等进行适当浓度的调整,可以添加作为用于本发明的(C)成分的有机溶剂。作为(C)成分,可以列举:脂肪族烃系有机溶剂、芳香族烃系有机溶剂、脂环式烃系有机溶剂、醇系有机溶剂、醛系有机溶剂、酮系有机溶剂、酯系有机溶剂、醚系有机溶剂、卤化烃系有机溶剂、石油系有机溶剂等,但是并不限定于这些。在这些之中,从与用于本发明的(A)成分或(B)成分的相溶性优异的观点出发,优选为芳香族烃系有机溶剂、脂环式烃系有机溶剂、卤化烃系有机溶剂、石油系有机溶剂等,特别优选为芳香族烃系有机溶剂、脂环式烃系有机溶剂、石油系有机溶剂等。作为更具体的(C)成分,可以列举:苯、甲苯、乙苯、甲苯、二甲苯、正己烷、环己烷、甲基环己烷、乙基环己烷、壬烷、癸烷、十氢化萘、十二烷、汽油、工业用汽油、溶剂石脑油等,这些可以单独使用或者混合两种以上使用。
需要说明的是,这些(C)成分的沸点,从与(A)成分或(B)成分的相溶性、密封剂组合物制造或使用时的操作性良好的角度出发,优选为70~200℃,更优选为80~170℃。另外,关于(C)成分的配合比例,相对于100质量份的(A)成分,优选为1~50,000质量份,更优选为3~30,000质量份,特别优选为5~10,000质量份。
在不降低本发明的密封剂组合物的特性的范围内,根据需要还可以添加如下添加剂:自由基聚合引发剂等交联剂;气相二氧化硅、石英粉末、碳酸钙等填充材料;防锈剂;硅烷偶联剂;萜系树脂、脂肪族系石油树脂、脂环族系石油树脂等增粘剂;增塑剂;触变性赋予剂;抗氧化剂;紫外线吸收剂;光稳定剂;阻燃性赋予剂;表面活性剂等。这些添加剂可以根据需要的物性添加适当的量。
关于本发明的密封剂组合物中含有的(A)成分和(B)成分的总量,从良好地发挥密封剂组合物的特性的观点出发,相对于100质量%密封剂组合物固形物,优选为50质量%以上,更优选为70质量%以上,进一步优选为90质量%以上,最优选为100质量%。
本发明的密封剂组合物适合用于非水电解液电池的密封用途。通常,非水电解液电池由隔着隔膜对置配置一对电极的元件单元、非水系电解液和收容它们的容器构成。该容器由具有开口部的金属框体和封口该开口部的封口体构成。另外,在金属框体和封口体之间,也可以设置垫片。另外,作为非水电解液电池,可以列举锂离子电池等,作为形状,可以列举圆筒形、硬币型、片状等,但是并不限定于这些。
另外,作为用于非水系电解液的溶剂的具体例,可以列举:γ-丁内酯、碳酸亚丙酯、二甲氧基乙烷、碳酸亚乙酯、碳酸二甲酯、碳酸乙基甲基酯、碳酸二乙酯、二甲亚砜、乙腈、四氢呋喃等,但是并不限于这些。另外,这些可以单独使用或者混合两种以上使用。
另外,作为构成用于非水电解液电池的垫片的材料,可以列举:聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯树脂、聚酰胺树脂、聚醚醚酮树脂、聚苯硫醚树脂、EPDM、聚丙烯等,但是并不限定于这些。
本发明的密封剂组合物适合用于:非水电解液电池的金属框体和封口体的堵缝部(caulking member)的外涂层(overcoat)密封用途、金属框体和封口体之间、垫片和金属框体或封口体之间的密封用途等。优选地,可以列举:金属框体和封口体之间、垫片和金属框体或封口体之间的密封用途等。即,根据本发明的一个方案,提供一种非水系电解液电池,其特征在于,在金属框体和封口体之间的至少一部分中具有密封部,该密封部含有上述的密封剂组合物(固形物)。在金属框体和封口体之间隔着垫片的情况下,在金属框体和封口体之间的空间,金属框体和垫片之间和/或封口体和垫片之间的密封部的至少一部分含有上述的密封剂组合物。
实施例
在本发明的实施例和比较例中使用的成分如下所示。
[(A)成分]
a-1:JSR Butyl 65(丁基橡胶、JSR株式会社制)
a-2:EP33(乙烯-丙烯-二烯共聚物橡胶、JSR株式会社制)
[(B)成分]
b-1:42-250A(CoAl2O4、平均粒径0.8μm、比重4.1g/cm3、东罐材料科技株式会社制)
b-2:42-216A(CoAl2O4、平均粒径1.0μm、比重4.0g/cm3、东罐材料科技株式会社制)
[(B)成分的比较成分]
b’-1:酞菁蓝
b’-2:群青(平均粒径3.8μm)
[(C)成分]
c-1:乙苯(沸点136℃)和邻二甲苯(沸点144℃)的50:50(质量比)混合物。
[实施例1~4和比较例1~3的组合物的制备]
以表1所示的质量比例,加入(A)~(C)成分,在室温下搅拌混合,制备密封剂组合物。

[薄膜·视觉确认性确认试验]
将各密封剂组合物涂布在灰色的聚丙烯制的垫片上,在常温下放置60分钟,进一步在60℃下干燥1小时,形成20μm左右的皮膜。对于该皮膜的视觉确认性以下述评价基准为基准用肉眼进行评价。将其结果示于表1。

×:不能够视觉确认。
[耐电解液性试验]
将各密封剂组合物0.1g涂布在玻璃板上,在常温下放置60分钟,进一步在60℃下干燥1小时,得到20μm的皮膜。在60℃下将该皮膜分别浸渍于作为在非水系电解液中使用的溶剂的二甲氧基乙烷、碳酸亚丙酯、γ-丁内酯、碳酸乙基甲基酯、碳酸二甲酯中直至7天。关于测定浸渍前和浸渍后的皮膜的质量,以下式为基准,求出质量变化率,以下述评价基准为基准进行评价,将结果示于表1。

<评价基准>
○:质量变化率的绝对值为5以下

如表1所示,在使用酞菁蓝或群青作为颜料的比较例2和3中,可见到因浸渍引起的质量变化(特别是质量减少)。认为这是因为密封剂组合物中的颜料溶出到溶剂中,并且认为有可能发生:电解液中颜料溶出引起电池性能降低、密封部的局部颈缩引起电池的密封性降低等不良情况。
产业上的可利用性
关于本发明的密封剂组合物,通过提高视觉确认性,即使涂布成薄膜状也可以降低密封的不良率,对于提高生产率具有很大帮助。另外,由于本发明的密封剂组合物对于用于电池的各种电解液具有优异的耐久性,所以可以维持电池的性能、大幅地提高安全性。
Claims (6)
1.一种非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,所述组合物含有(A)弹性体和(B)钴蓝颜料,相对于100质量份的(A)成分,含有0.1~20质量份的(B)成分;
所述(A)成分为选自由异丁烯-异戊二烯共聚物、丁二烯橡胶、苯乙烯-丁二烯橡胶、异戊二烯橡胶、天然橡胶、丁腈橡胶、1,3-戊二烯橡胶、异丁烯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯-二烯烃橡胶、氨基甲酸酯橡胶、有机硅橡胶、丙烯酸橡胶、氯磺化聚乙烯橡胶、氟橡胶、乙烯-醋酸乙烯酯共聚物橡胶组成的组中的至少一种。
2.根据权利要求1所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,所述(A)成分为选自由丁基橡胶、异丁烯橡胶、丁二烯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯橡胶和乙烯-丙烯-二烯烃橡胶组成的组中的至少一种。
3.根据权利要求1所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,所述(B)成分为CoAl2O4。
4.根据权利要求1所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,所述(B)成分的平均粒径为0.01~100μm,比重为2.0~6.0g/cm3。
5.根据权利要求1所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物,其特征在于,所述组合物还含有(C)有机溶剂。
6.一种非水系电解液电池,所述非水系电解液电池包括:隔着隔膜对置配置一对电极的元件单元、非水系电解液和收容它们的容器,其特征在于,
所述容器包括:具有开口部的金属框体和封口该开口部的封口体,
在所述金属框体和所述封口体之间的至少一部分中具有密封部,
所述密封部含有权利要求1~5中任一项所述的非水系电解液电池用密封剂组合物。
