Abstract
一种水密性接头,通过扣在其套管的环状突条上的钳环爪把非金属导管紧固于箱体上。一锁紧螺母与所述爪啮合,其结构可使这一便宜的装置达到有效的综合水密性效果。
Description
本发明涉及一种水密性接头,该水密性接头用于把非金属导管以水密性方式连结固定在一箱体上。本系统能提供比BX电缆及BX电缆接头所能提供的更好的保护效果,且在不透液的环境下,比传统的BX系统价格更加低廉且更具可挠性。
当今市场上所见的水密性接头,需要安装者将其先行分解,再把各个构件(固紧螺母,橡皮垫圈及/或一锁紧夹环)依序套在导管(或电线管)上,并将套管拧入导管中,然后重新组合成整个接头。另一类型的接头不需要分解接头,但安装者需要把接头拧入导管;如此一来,导管的内部需要刻上螺纹;经过一段使用后,该螺纹会变成液体渗漏的途径。而上述第一种接头在附有容易遗失松脱构件的情形下不仅需要密集的人力,且接头的性能好环决定于安装者的技术。
不论本发明或现有技术的与导管相连接的水密性接头,通常具有一延伸的末端部分,穿过箱体、接线箱(接线盒)或其他装置的开口而固定于其上;然后将整个接头乃至导管用密封材等进行密封以防止外界液体进出。
在现有技术的装置中,一水密性接头的套管通常刻有螺纹,然后拧入非金属导管中。该导管的尺寸大约与BX电缆尺寸相同,再用密封材料将导管与接头以不同的防水形式予以密封固定。
在现有技术的水密性接头装置的一种形式中,接头具有一分离式套管,而套管上紧密地螺纹连接有一附带有一密封用衬套的螺母。使用该装置时,一装有衬套的过载螺母,必须在导管插入套管之前,先与导管形成啮合,之后再将过载螺母紧固在套管之上,最后使连接着非金属导管的套管固定在水密性接头上。通常套管表面刻有螺纹。该装置的水液密闭性能,特别是导管的连接处,实质上由紧固的过载螺母所承受的压力所决定。
在现有技术的接头装置的另一形式中,包含一周围附有操作环的可旋转套管的水密性接头是利用其末端的延伸部在箱体内侧经由螺纹接合而固定。这样,该水密性接头被螺纹接合于箱体上,再将非金属导管提至刻有螺纹的套管前,然后把套管旋转套合而与非金属导管互相螺纹接合,此时,非金属导管在外部操作环的内侧借助螺纹与套管接合。套管外周部的操作环可用来旋转套管。操作环与套管的套筒部保持一空间而形成一可容纳被套合于套筒部的非金属导管的通槽,因此这属于一非常方便的装置,但该装置的水密完整性乃决定于非金属导管及套管间的螺纹啮合关系良好与否。当然,该装置具有无须为密封非金属导管与水密性接头而在非金属导管外拧紧其他螺纹接合构件的优点。
在现有技术的接头装置的又一种形式中,一与刻有螺纹的套管头保持一距离的具有螺纹的安装环,在其内部与水密性接头的螺纹之间设有一环状开口垫圈;在该特殊的装置中,非金属导管可紧套接合在套管上而无须在非金属导管上加装任何套合构件。该非金属导管是借助螺纹旋紧可旋转的安装环,使套在非金属导管外的环状开口垫圈的开口关闭而扣住非金属导管,该装置是最近所知道的最相关的此类发明。
美国专利第2,978,262号中所公开的是一种典型的现有技术的接头装置;其中,一塑胶管连接于一装有螺纹座及压紧螺母的管接头的套环上,其密封的目的是为了防止腐蚀性液体的渗漏。而其密闭效果是借助塑胶管上使用一压缩螺母压缩管上的垫圈的作用而达成。
美国专利第2,873,985号所示的是另一种现有技术的联结两个管用的接头装置,它属于应用压紧螺母的多种修饰形态之一;在该号专利中的导管穿入一接头的通孔而止于突肩部,并以一压紧螺母与径向突肩部接合而形成导管的密封。
美国专利第2,452,275号所示是又一种典型的现有技术的应用压紧螺母及拼合环的联结装置。
现有技术的装置中充满了应用压紧螺母及固定于套环或套管头上的导管来达到水密性接合形态的各种管联结器的例子。
本发明包括一钳环的应用,该钳环环套在套管内而保持有一环状空间,以便使非金属导管能轻易穿套在套管头内而无需费力。套在套管上并覆盖环状突条的非金属导管,与突条间产生一干涉配合,当压紧螺母被压紧时,其作用像一套爪,压迫钳环上的爪片紧抓住非金属导管的环状突条,而保持该非金属导管呈不能滑动的密封啮合状态。
本发明的水密性接头的本体上具有一向外延伸的其长度超过螺纹套环的套管,而在套管的中央部位拱塑成一扩径的环状突条。当将套管插入非金属导管时,只有当推至环状突条处时会因干涉配合而产生一些阻力,但导管与拱起的突条的接触面不大,以及突条形成微凸的圆弧状,故阻力极小,容易插入。就是借助此干涉配合形成水密、气密接合,及形成防止导管拉出的部份阻力。连接螺纹套环的本体的长度远小于向两端延伸的套管,因此进入本体的液体无法找到通往箱体的途径。当非金属导管套接在套管外周时,它与中央通道无法相通。
钳环,是一具有8个环绕着套管的弹性爪片的圆环状构件;当各弹性爪片受压时会向中心径向闭合;对该8个弹性爪片中任二选一交错地选出四个爪片,于其前端内部塑造成形为一尖状突起(另外4个爪片则为半圆形突起),此种交互设置使该弹性爪片于两不同表面上紧紧夹住非金属导管,纵然非金属导管的表面有任何不规则凹凸形状都能借助此设置达到补偿效果。利用该爪片于非金属导管表面所形成的下压力,并非进续而成一环形,却是八个不连续但各别作用的点压力;因此,电缆的绝缘被覆层被破坏的可能性将达到最低。
钳环,在其自由状态(尚未插入套环中),其开口恰可让非金属导管拘束性自由穿过(即抗拒阻力扩开通过);位于套管的突条上的突起在该状态下,对非金属导管的任何膨胀或凹凸并不会影响或干涉到钳环的功能,当钳环在其闭合状态(插入套环中),非金属导管被抓紧于弹性爪片的突起及与套管的环状突条之间,而产生一高抗拉力的效果。在钳环的底部设有八个齿沟,其可与本体内的啮合齿形成啮合,以防止非金属导管于安装时所产生的旋转或扭动。
在安装时,使用一具有圆顶面及内圆锥面的锁紧螺母锁入套环,螺母内圆锥面即压迫钳环而使其弹性爪片闭合。该锁紧螺母经设计成能旋转至本体的突肩部为止,以防止任何过大的螺母扭矩。
在水密性接头中所需的密封用垫圈可用一压模成型的惰性的橡胶环;其内部可置放一铝质冲压园板作为补助增强,以防止如橡胶“O”环常因旋压太紧导致损坏的状况。
为便于用扳手扳转,一用于锁定水密性接头的末端部份的螺母被模制形成一扁平状。
可将水密性接头与箱体构成-45°角或任何所需的角度,此时除了本体须换成具有转折角的本体,其他构件依然可使用,不必更换。
本发明装置的另一个优点是,非金属导管可非常轻易地从套管卸下来,在现有技术的装置中,经常用螺旋线圈缠绕在金属导管上,如欲扭松螺丝,须克服线圈的弹簧作用方可,导管的卸下并非绝对不可能,但将成为相当困难。
根据本发明的水密性接头,其在水密性接合状态下,连结非金属导管至一电缆箱等箱体上。该水密性接头是由一包含一末端部份及一套管的本体所构成。一中央孔道贯穿末端部份及套管,而末端部份可与箱体构成连结,套管的中央部位拱起成一环状突条,还具有一钳环;将非金属导管套在套管上并置于套管与钳环之间;而利用联动扣合构件使钳环与环状突条相互扣合于水密扣合状态下以固定非金属导管于套管的环状突条上与钳环之间,在末端管部与套管之间可设置环状突肩部;一刻有螺纹的安装套环,它是属于一种联动扣合构件,设置于用来分隔末端管部及套管的突肩部上并向套管所在方向延伸,且与套管周围保留一环状空间以容纳非金属导管及钳环并固定非金属导管;联动扣合构件还包括一刻有螺纹的锁紧螺母,其内部为一圆锥斜面,可压迫钳环形成啮合;钳环是由含有在不同环面的突起及的弹性爪片所构成,该钳环的底部开有一可使非金属导管穿过的孔口且设有与本体上的咬合齿形成咬合的齿沟。利用一螺母在箱体的另一端,固定套管的末端部份在箱体内部。在箱体及水密性接头间还可设置一内含有金属环片的垫圈以形成水液密闭。
虽然这些构成本发明特征的种种新颖特点将在权利要求中清楚地指明,但本发明及其实施的情况可通过下述的详细说明及其附图而得到更深入的了解。
图1表示连接于箱体的水密性接头的截面图,显示一非金属导管尚未完全连接锁紧的状况。
图2显示图1中的非金属导管已完全连接锁紧于水密性接头上的状况的截面图。

现在可更加详细地参看附图以了解本发明,在各个附图中,相同的号码代表相同的部位或构件。
如图1、2、3所显示的水密性接头10,它是由一具有一末端管部12及一套管13的本体11所构成;并借助一突肩部14以分隔末端管部12及套管13。一安装套环15从突肩部14向套管13所在方向延伸;并与套管13保持一间隔,套管13的长度延伸超过安装套环15,其上设有环状突条16。末端部份12,如同安装套环15,需刻上螺纹,本体11为中空,有一中央通道17穿过其间。
如图1至5所显示的钳环18,具有一中央孔口19,以使套管13能穿入钳环18的中央孔口19,而钳环18则被容纳于安装套环15的内径以内以便扣持套管13。钳环18具有多个弹性爪片20,该弹性爪片20的前端内面呈交错地设有不同形状的突起21及22。内部刻有螺纹器锁紧螺母23,其一端内缩形成圆顶24,并设有一通孔25,非金属导管26穿过此孔25,在钳环18的弹性爪片20的包围中套入套管13,在环状突条16处形成相互搭接扣合;锁紧螺母23的圆顶24的内部为一圆锥面27。
如图4所显示的钳环18设有齿沟28,可与图6及图9中显示的由突肩部14向外延伸而成的咬合齿29形成咬合,内部最好含有金属环片32的垫圈片30穿过末端管部12,置放在本体11与箱体31之间,螺母33再穿过末端管部12,使水密性接头得以固定在箱体31上。
当使用时,应将带有套在螺纹套环15上的锁紧螺母23的水密性接头10固定在箱体31上,此时,钳环18介于螺纹套环15与锁紧螺母23之内而嵌合在套管13上,将非金属导管26插入锁紧螺母23的孔25内且位于钳环18的弹性爪片20所包围的空间内而套于套管13并密接于环状突条16处,导管26即将钳环18推到底。如图1所示,弹性爪片20延伸超过环状突条16,当旋紧锁紧螺母23时,如图2所示,突起21及22在环状突条16上借助锁紧螺母23的圆顶24内部的斜面27压迫弹性爪片20的前端,从而扣住非金属导管,使之被紧紧固定。
将垫圈片30置放在箱体31与水密性接头10的本体11的肩部14间,并借助旋紧螺母33以将水密性接头10固定在箱体31上,这样可形成一水密性密封部,它不仅能防止外界液体渗入箱体31内,更可达到气密性的效果。
非金属导管26被套于一长度延伸超过螺纹套环15的套管13上,其表面已无任何开口或间隙能使外界的液体流入水密性接头10的中央通道17,而充其量只能停留在套环15及套管13之间,借助围绕非金属导管26的弹性爪片20紧紧地扣压在套管13的环状突条16上,任何外界的液体及/或气体欲进入中央通道17实际上都是不可能的。
当螺母33被拧得过紧时,垫圈30中的金属环片32的设置便形成对垫圈30的保护,因此,该垫圈30比常用的“O”型环较不易被损坏,且不致减弱水密性接头10的完整水密效果。
非金属导管26的更换,只需拧松锁紧螺母23,并将非金属导管26从其与环状突条16的啮合处抽出便可轻易完成,这也是本发明装置的另一个优点。
一但本发明装置的水密性接头10固定在箱体31上,只要将非金属导管26套入套管13至超过环状突条16,再将锁紧螺母拧紧以使钳环抓紧导管并形成良好的水液密封材即可克服以往现有技术装置难以套装非金属导管26的困难。
最好,使用尼龙作为本发明的水密性接头的材料为宜,但采用其他塑胶塑料或金属材料亦可。
上述本发明的详细说明中所使用的名词以及构造的叙述只是一般说明,事实上,人们仍可对本发明装置进行各种修改和变化。
