Abstract
本发明提供兼具耐热性和阻燃性,而且作业性良好且价格也便宜的耐热阻燃绝缘电线。该耐热阻燃绝缘电线具有由电绝缘性组合物构成的包覆层,所述电绝缘性组合物含有由(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物50~90质量%和(B)聚烯烃10~50质量%构成的基质聚合物、(C)十溴二苯乙烷、(D)三氧化二锑,相对于100质量份基质聚合物,(C)十溴二苯乙烷的含量为1~30质量份、(D)三氧化二锑的含量为10~50质量份。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及耐热性、阻燃性和作业性优异的绝缘电线。
背景技术
近来,在燃气用具及微波炉的电机线缆等的用途上,兼具耐热性和阻燃性的绝缘电线的需求增大。具体来说是,具有基于电气用品的技术标准的耐热温度130~150℃的耐热性与符合UL标准的垂直燃烧试验(VW-1)要求的阻燃性的绝缘电线。
作为这种绝缘电线已知例如将在乙烯系共聚物中组合特定的阻燃剂掺合而成的组合物用作包覆材料的电线(例如,参照专利文献1。)。但是,并不具备充分满足上述要求的特性。
另一方面,已知将以四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物为代表的氟橡胶用作绝缘材料的电线。氟橡胶在耐热性、耐油性、耐化学品性、耐老化性、耐候性、电绝缘性等上优良,使用其的电线具备高耐热性。
但是,氟橡胶在未交联状态下粘合性强,在未交联状态下卷绕在卷筒上时等,包覆层彼此间接触的情况下,可能会出现包覆层的形状发生变化及外观受损等。因此,必须要连续进行(挤出)成型工序和交联工序,作业性上存在问题。此外,由于氟橡胶非常昂贵,因此目前其用途限于汽车等发动机周边的配线用电线等在超过200℃这样的严酷的高温环境下使用的特殊电线的包覆层。

本发明的一种实施方式的耐热阻燃绝缘电线具有由电绝缘性组合物构成的包覆层,所述电绝缘性组合物含有由(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物50~90质量%和(B)聚烯烃10~50质量%构成的基质聚合物、(C)十溴二苯乙烷、(D)三氧化二锑,相对于100质量份基质聚合物,(C)十溴二苯乙烷的含量为1~30质量份、(D)三氧化二锑的含量为10~50质量份。
根据本发明的一种实施方式可提供兼具耐热性和阻燃性,而且作业性良好且价格也便宜的绝缘电线。

具体实施方式
以下,说明本发明的实施方式。
首先,对本发明的耐热阻燃绝缘电线(以下、也简称为绝缘电线。)所使用的电绝缘性组合物作说明。该组合物含有(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物、(B)聚烯烃、(C)十溴二苯乙烷、和(D)三氧化二锑,以(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物和(B)聚烯烃作为基质聚合物。
(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物,典型的是具有下式所示的基本骨架的聚合物,例如由将四氟乙烯和丙烯低温乳液聚合而得。
(式中、n和m分别表示1以上的整数)
该四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物可适当含有作为第3成分的、可共聚的单体、例如乙烯、异丁烯、丙烯酸及其烷基酯、甲基丙烯酸及其烷基酯、氟乙烯、偏氟乙烯、六氟丙烯、氯乙基乙烯基醚、三氟氯乙烯、全氟烷基乙烯基醚等的1种以上。(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物既可以单独使用1种,也可以2种以上混合使用。
如果要例示用作(A)成分的四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物的市售品,可例举例如旭硝子株式会社(旭硝子(株))制的AFLAS 150CS(比重:1.55、氟含量:57%、门尼粘度ML1+10(100℃):140、门尼粘度ML1+10(121℃):100)、同AFLAS 150C(比重:1.55、门尼粘度ML1+10(100℃):>160)、同AFLAS 150E(比重:1.55、门尼粘度ML1+10(100℃):60、门尼粘度ML1+10(121℃):45)(以上、商品名)等。
(B)聚烯烃可例举例如低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)、中密度聚乙烯(MDPE)、高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)、超低密度聚乙烯(VLDPE)、直链状低密度聚乙烯(LLDPE)等聚乙烯;聚丙烯(PP);聚异丁烯;乙烯与丙烯、1-丁烯、1-戊烯、1-己烯、1-庚烯、1-辛烯、1-壬烯、1-癸烯、1-十一碳烯、1-十二碳烯、1-十三碳烯、1-十四碳烯、1-十五碳烯、1-十六碳烯、1-十七碳烯、1-十九碳烯、1-二十碳烯、4-甲基-1-戊烯等α-烯烃共聚而成的乙烯-α-烯烃共聚物;乙烯与丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸异丙酯、丙烯酸异丁酯、丙烯酸正丁酯、丙烯酸异辛酯、丙烯酸2-乙基己酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸异丁酯、马来酸二甲酯、马来酸二乙酯等不饱和羧酸酯共聚而成的乙烯-不饱和羧酸酯共聚物;乙烯与乙酸乙烯酯、丙酸乙烯酯、丁酸乙烯酯、叔碳酸乙烯酯(パ一サテイツク酸ビニル)、月桂酸乙烯酯、硬脂酸乙烯酯、苯甲酸乙烯酯、水杨酸乙烯酯、环己烷羧酸乙烯酯等乙烯基酯共聚而成的乙烯-乙烯基酯共聚物;异丁烯-异戊二烯共聚物等。聚丙烯不仅是丙烯的均聚物,也可以使用与乙烯的无规共聚物及嵌段共聚物、与少量的α-烯烃的共聚物等。作为α-烯烃可例举例如1-丁烯、1-戊烯、1-己烯、1-辛烯、4-甲基-1-戊烯等。丙烯-α烯烃共聚物可再聚合非共轭多烯。作为非共轭多烯可例举例如二环戊二烯、1,4-己二烯、亚乙基降冰片烯、乙烯基降冰片烯等。这些既可单独使用1种,也可2种以上组合使用。
聚烯烃尤其优选低密度聚乙烯、直链状低密度聚乙烯、乙烯-丙烯酸乙酯共聚物,从耐热性优异上出发,更好是乙烯-丙烯酸乙酯共聚物。如果要例示乙烯-丙烯酸乙酯共聚物的市售品,可例举例如日本聚乙烯株式会社(日本聚乙烯(株))制的REXPEARL(レクスパ一ル)EEA A1150(密度:0.932g/cm3、MFR:0.8g/10min、丙烯酸乙酯含量:15质量%、熔点(DSC法)100℃、氧指数10.0;商品名)等。
组合物的基质聚合物中的(A)成分和(B)成分的混合比例是(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物为50~90质量%、(B)聚烯烃为10~50质量%。如果(A)成分的比例不足50质量%,则不仅耐热性降低,而且机械特性及耐候性也降低。此外,若(A)成分超过90质量%,则加工性降低。还有,在未交联状态下的粘合性变大,同时不易低成本化。较好是,(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物为55~85质量%、(B)聚烯烃为15~45质量%,更好是(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物为65~75质量%、(B)聚烯烃为25~35质量%。
(C)十溴二苯乙烷是众所周知的溴系阻燃材料、以下式表示的化合物。如果要具体例举适合用作(C)成分的市售品,则可例举例如SAYTEX8010(雅宝公司(ALBEMARLE社)制商品名)等。
该(C)十溴二苯乙烷的配比量相对于上述基质聚合物的(A)成分和(B)成分的合计量100质量份为1~30质量份,较好是2~15质量份,更好是3~7质量份。如果配比量不足1质量份,则无法获得足够的阻燃性,若超过30质量份,则机械特性会降低。
在无损本发明的效果的范围内,可以在组合物中并用至少1种十溴二苯乙烷以外的溴系阻燃剂。并用的溴系阻燃剂可例举例如乙撑双(四溴邻苯二甲酰胺)、十溴二苯醚、十四溴二苯氧基苯等。
(D)三氧化二锑为起阻燃助剂作用的成分。(D)三氧化二锑的配比量相对于上述基质聚合物成分的合计量100质量份为10~50质量份。较好是15~35质量份,更好是15~25质量份。如果配比量不足10质量份,则无法获得足够的阻燃性,若超过50质量份,则机械特性会降低。
为了使抗拉强度等机械特性提高,可以在电绝缘性组合物中掺入(E)无机填充剂。无机填充剂可例举碳酸钙、熔融二氧化硅、结晶二氧化硅、滑石、粘土、氧化铝、氧化锆、云母、钛白、氧化铁红、碳化硅、氮化硼、氮化硅、氮化铝等。其中,从耐热性上出发,优选碳酸钙、滑石。它们还具有能够明色配合的优点。碳酸钙中重质碳酸钙和轻质碳酸钙均可使用。掺入无机填充剂时,其配比量相对于上述基质聚合物成分的合计量100质量份,较好是1~200质量份,更好是10~100质量份。
除了以上各成分外,在无损本发明的效果的范围内,可以根据需要,在电绝缘性组合物中掺入常在这种组合物中掺合的加工助剂、分散剂、着色剂、防老化剂、润滑剂等添加剂。
例如,可以相对于聚合物成分100质量份掺入0.5~2.0质量份的作为加工助剂的聚乙烯蜡、硬脂酸钠等。可以相对于聚合物成分100质量份掺入0.5~2.0质量份的作为分散剂的脂肪烃树脂混合物等。通过掺合这样的加工助剂及分散剂,能够抑制伴随聚合物的混合引起的机械强度及耐热性等特性的降低,同时可以提高挤出成型时的加工性。具体来说,加工助剂可以使用AC-617A(商品名、霍尼韦尔公司(ハネウエル社)制;聚乙烯蜡)等。此外,分散剂可使用ULTRA-LUBE790(商品名、派富蒙斯阿德特布斯公司(パフオ一マンスアデイテイブス社)制;脂肪酸酯/特殊润滑剂混合物)等。
此外,在无损本发明的效果的范围内,可以掺入上述溴系阻燃剂及三氧化二锑以外的其他阻燃剂及阻燃助剂。作为这样的阻燃剂和阻燃助剂可例举氢氧化镁、氢氧化铝等的金属水合物,胍系、三聚氰胺系等氮系阻燃剂,磷酸铵、红磷等磷系阻燃剂,磷-氮系阻燃剂,硼酸锌等硼酸化合物等。
本发明所使用的电绝缘性组合物通常成型(包覆)后,交联。交联方法没有特别的限定,可以采用使用交联剂的化学交联、利用电子束等放射线的交联等任意的方法。化学交联所用的交联剂优选有机过氧化物,例如使用1,3-双-(叔丁基过氧异丙基)苯等。此外,较好是与这种交联剂一起并用三烯丙基异氰尿酸酯等交联助剂。有机过氧化物较好是相对于聚合物成分100质量份,掺入0.5~2.0质量份,此外交联助剂较好是相对于聚合物成分100质量份,掺入0.5~10.0质量份。
电绝缘性组合物可以通过将(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物、(B)聚烯烃、(C)十溴二苯乙烷和(D)三氧化二锑、以及根据需要掺入的各种成分用开炼机、班伯里密炼机、加压捏合机等充分混炼来制造。(C)成分、(D)成分和(E)成分、及加工助剂、分散剂等添加剂可以在将(A)成分和(B)成分分别素炼时预先混合。
本发明的绝缘电线通过将如上所述制得的电绝缘性组合物直接或者介于其他包覆层挤出包覆在导体上后、交联来制造。由于组合物在未交联状态下的粘合性小,因此即使包覆层呈未交联状态就卷绕于卷筒,包覆层之间也不会牢固的黏着。因此,交联工序既能够以与挤出包覆工序分开的工序进行,也能够以同一工序连续地进行。对导体的材质及外径、有无绞合等没有特别的限定,根据用途适当选择。
图1为本发明的一种实施方式的耐热阻燃绝缘电线的横截面图。
图1中,符号11表示由1条或多条的镀锡软铜线等构成的导体。在该导体11上挤出包覆上述电绝缘性组合物,进行交联,从而形成绝缘体12。
本实施方式的绝缘电线较好是按照满足以下的要素来构成。
(1)作为电线整体,具有在VW-1垂直燃烧试验(UL 1581)合格的阻燃性。
(2)绝缘体12的热老化(180℃、336小时)后的抗拉强度为4.0MPa以上、断裂伸长率为50%以上。这里,抗拉强度及断裂伸长率为按照JIS C3005测定的值。
本实施方式的绝缘电线能够兼具基于电气用品的技术标准的耐热温度130~150℃的耐热性与、在UL标准的垂直燃烧试验(VW-1)合格的阻燃性。而且,不会像现有的使用氟橡胶的电线那样,交联工序受到限制,价格的上升也得到抑制。
实施例
接着,通过实施例更详细地说明本发明。但本发明不受这些实施例的任何限定。实施例及比较例中所用的成分如下所示。

实施例1
将50质量份FEPM、50质量份LDPE、2.0质量份十溴二苯乙烷、30质量份三氧化二锑和30质量份重质碳酸钙用开炼机进行充分混炼,调制成电绝缘性组合物。
接着,在由12根直径0.18mm的镀锡软铜线12绞合而成的截面积0.3mm2的铜绞线导体上,以0.33mm厚度挤出包覆上述电绝缘性组合物,用加速电压800kV的电子束辐射装置辐射200kGy的电子束,形成绝缘体,制成外径1.38mm的绝缘电线。
实施例2~9、比较例1~9
除了如表1所示改变电绝缘性组合物的组成以外,与实施例1同样地操作,调制电绝缘性组合物,再使用这些组合物,与实施例1同样地制造绝缘电线。
对由上述各实施例及各比较例得到的绝缘电线,评价初始的机械特性(抗拉强度、伸长率)、耐热性(耐热老化性)及阻燃性。还有,在绝缘电线之外,另外使用上述各实施例和各比较例所得的电绝缘性组合物,制成100mm×100mm×1mm的未交联片,对该未交联片评价(未交联时的)粘合性。评价方法如下所示。
[初始抗拉强度及初始断裂伸长率]
按照JIS C3005,以标线20mm、拉伸速度500mm/分钟的条件进行测定。
[耐热性]
以180℃进行336小时的热老化后,按照JIS C 3005,以标线20mm、拉伸速度500mm/分钟的条件,测定抗拉强度及伸长率。
[阻燃性]
进行UL1581规定的垂直燃烧试验(VW-1),实施评价。
[未交联时的粘合性]
将2片未交联片重叠,均匀地施加500g载荷,在50℃的恒温槽中放置1小时。放置后,从恒温槽取出,冷却至室温,剥离2块片材。对剥离后的各片材测定100mm×100mm面的对角线的长度,计算平均值,求出与初始值的变化率,按以下的标准进行评价。
A:对角线的长度变化率在7%以下,无破损和裂纹
B:对角线的长度变化率在10%以下、无破损和裂纹、
C:对角线的长度变化率超过10%、或者有破损或裂纹
这些结果示于表1。

从表1可知,实施例1~9均在初始抗拉强度、初始断裂伸长率、耐热性、垂直燃烧试验和未交联时的粘合性上获得了良好的结果。此外,通过使基质聚合物中的四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物的含量为55~85质量%、聚烯烃的含量为15~45质量%,在初始抗拉强度、初始断裂伸长率上获得了更加优异的结果(实施例4~7)。还有,通过使相对于基质聚合物100质量份的十溴二苯乙烷的含量为2~15质量份、三氧化二锑的含量为15~35质量份,在耐热性、未交联时的粘合性上,获得了更加优异的结果(实施例5、6)。

Claims (9)
1.耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,具有由电绝缘性组合物构成的包覆层,所述电绝缘性组合物含有由(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物50~90质量%和(B)聚烯烃10~50质量%构成的基质聚合物、(C)十溴二苯乙烷、(D)三氧化二锑,相对于100质量份基质聚合物,(C)十溴二苯乙烷的含量为1~30质量份、(D)三氧化二锑的含量为10~50质量份。
2.如权利要求1所述的耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,所述基质聚合物由(A)四氟乙烯-丙烯共聚物55~85质量%、和(B)聚烯烃15~45质量%构成。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,相对于所述基质聚合物100质量份,含有(C)十溴二苯乙烷2~15质量份、和(D)三氧化二锑15~35质量份。
4.如权利要求1~3中任一项所述的耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,所述(B)成分包含乙烯-丙烯酸乙酯共聚物。
5.如权利要求1~4中任一项所述的耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,还含有(E)无机填充剂,相对于所述基质聚合物100质量份,所述(E)无机填充剂的含量为1~200质量份。
6.如权利要求5所述的耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,所述(E)成分包含碳酸钙。
7.如权利要求1~5中任一项所述的耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,将所述电绝缘性组合物交联。
8.如权利要求1~7中任一项所述的耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,电线整体具有在UL1581标准的VW-1垂直燃烧试验合格的阻燃性。
9.如权利要求1~8中任一项所述的耐热阻燃绝缘电线,其特征在于,所述包覆层在180℃、336小时的热老化后的抗拉强度为4.0MPa以上,且断裂伸长率为50%以上。
