一种已知的排气处理装置包括形成为铸件的入口端,该入口端随后与片状金属壳体连接。该铸件包括用于排气处理装置的安装件。令人遗憾的是,由于整个入口组件是由铸型部件形成,所以热会容易地从排气处理装置的内部传递到铸型入口组件的外表面。因此,提供一种改进的具有足够热屏蔽的排气处理装置会是有利的。

本发明提供一种排气处理装置,包括内壳、外壳、以及位于所述内壳和所述外壳之间的绝缘材料。所述排气处理装置还包括轴向对齐的入口组件和出口组件,并且其中所述入口组件和所述出口组件包括位于所述内壳和所述外壳之间的绝缘材料的一部分。所述排气处理装置还包括位于所述内壳内的用于处理发动机排气的基体,以及位于所述内壳和所述外壳之间的金属安装环,所述环包括用于接纳紧固件的安装件。

具体实施方式
现将参照附图更加全面地描述示例性的实施方式。
图1至图2描述了用附图标记10标示的示例性排气处理装置。排气处理装置10包括在壳体15内的位于第二基体14上游的第一基体12。第一基体12可以是柴油氧化催化器或选择性催化还原催化器,第二基体14可以是柴油微粒过滤器或滑性催化器(slip catalyst)。然而,可以使用其他类型的排气处理元件代替第一基体12和第二基体14。此外,在不脱离本发明的范围内,除了以上提及的外,可使用基体12和14的不同组合。另外,本发明涉及一种包括位于壳体15内的一个或更多个基体的排气处理装置。图中示出的两个基体的设置仅用于说明的目的。
壳体15包括内壳16和围绕内壳16的外壳17。内壳16包括彼此连接的若干个金属冲压件。例如,内壳16包括接纳第一基体12和第二基体14的内管18。通过使用填料或上胶工艺(stuffing or sizing process),基体12、14被保持在内管18内,以压缩第一基体12与内管18之间的第一绝缘垫28,并压缩第二基体14与内管18之间的第二绝缘垫30。壳体15还包括若干个相互连接的冲压件,如限制内管18的外管34。绝缘材料36围绕着内管18且位于外管34和内管18之间。绝缘材料36可为本领域的技术人员已知的任何类型的绝缘材料。绝缘材料36可以是垫状绝缘材料或者是注入内壳16和外壳17之间的空隙的多个松散填充绝缘粒子。
入口组件37被固定到外管34和内管18。入口组件37包括环形盖板38(图2A),该环形盖板38具有固定到第一端盖44的凸缘40。内部入口或内部盖41包括固定到内管18的唇部43。内部盖41形成内壳16的一部分,端盖44形成外壳17的一部分。
安装环54位于第一端盖41和环形盖板38之间。安装环54可以是由具有高含量的硅和钼的球墨铸铁形成的铸造件而作为单件整体式部件。这种材料提供了优良的结构物理性能且能承受排气处理装置的高温环境。可选地,使用如锻造、冲压或机械加工等工艺来形成安装环。也可考虑上列之外的其他金属材料。
安装环54包括由通过端壁64而相互连接的内壁60和外壁62限定的大致杯型的空心横截面。多个实心安装凸台66在圆周上彼此间隔地分布。每个凸台66包括接纳紧固件(未图示)的螺纹孔68,以将排气处理装置10安装到车辆上。为限定排气处理装置10坚固的结构安装,第一端盖44的内表面70成型为补充安装环54的外表面72的袋状。多个孔76延伸穿过第一端盖44而与螺纹孔68对齐。应当理解的是,安装孔54不必包括杯型部分,并可被成型为具有更加连贯的实心横截面。
考虑到入口管组件82,安装环54包括容许入口管组件82安装于其中的中心孔55。入口管组件82包括固定到屏蔽部86的管84。绝缘材料88位于管84和屏蔽部86之间。管84包括延伸穿过内壳16和外壳17而与形成在第一基体12上游的腔室92相连通的第一端90。在入口管组件82的第二相对端形成有接纳来自内燃机的排气的入口94。虽然示出的管84为线形,但是应当理解的是,管84可为肘形,这不脱离本发明的范围。
流量分配板96在管84的第一端90的下游位置被固定到内部入口41。流量分配板96包括多个具有不同尺寸的间隔的孔98,以引导大致均匀的排气流过第一基体12。
可以使用一些与制造入口组件37的部件相同或者至少非常类似的部件来构造出口组件100。出口组件100包括第二端盖44a、绝缘材料77a、内部出口41a、管84a、屏蔽部86a和出口94a。出口组件100的其他特征与形成入口组件37的部件的特征大致类似。因此,这些元件将用更下位的后缀“a”来标示。如图2所示出的,入口组件37和出口组件100轴向对齐。然而,应当理解的是,并不要求入口组件37和出口组件100轴向对齐。例如,美国专利申请Serial No.13/268,124(本文通过引用并入其全部内容)涉及一种排气处理装置,其入口和出口是非轴向对齐的。
形成出口组件100的部件连接关系与入口组件37大致相同,除了安装环54没有出现在附图所示的出口组件100中之外。代替第二安装环54,出口组件100包括具有贯通孔104的一对安装接头102。贯通孔104使得通过使用紧固件(未图示)或者钩(未图示)将安装接头102连接到车辆上。尽管排气处理装置10被示为具有安装接头102,然而,应当理解的是,根据安装灵活性的要求,出口组件100可包括与安装环54大致类似的安装环。在另一个设置中,入口组件37可被构造成没有安装环54,并且出口组件100可包括夹在第二端盖44a和环形盖板38a之间的安装环。
根据上述说明,从入口组件37到出口组件100,排气处理装置10是完全绝缘的。完全绝缘是由于绝缘件88、36和77a的原因。通过使用绝缘件88、36和77a,排气处理装置10具有加强了的热屏蔽,这防止通过排气系统产生的热传递到排气处理装置10所在的周围环境中。

Claims (10)

1.一种排气处理装置,包括:
壳体,其包括通过第一空隙而间隔的内壳和外壳;
入口组件,其包括通过第二空隙而间隔的第一内盖和第一外盖;
出口组件,其包括通过第三空隙而彼此间隔的第二内盖和第二外盖;
设置在所述入口组件和所述出口组件之间的至少一个排气处理基体,所述至少一个排气处理基体位于所述内壳内;以及
绝缘垫,其设置在所述排气处理基体和所述内壳之间,其中所述内壳包括相对的第一端和第二端以及它们之间的直径减小部,该直径减小部接合所述绝缘垫并且将所述绝缘垫压缩在该直径减小部的内表面与所述排气处理基体的外表面之间,所述内壳的第一端被固定至所述第一内盖,并且所述内壳的第二端被固定至所述第二内盖,
其中,每个所述第一空隙、第二空隙和第三空隙均彼此连通,且填充有绝缘材料,
还包括设置在所述入口组件和所述出口组件中的一个上的安装环。
2.根据权利要求1所述的排气处理装置,还包括位于所述排气处理基体的上游的流量分配板。
3.根据权利要求1所述的排气处理装置,其中所述排气处理基体选自由氧化催化器、选择性催化还原催化器、微粒过滤器和滑性催化器构成的组中的一个。
4.根据权利要求1所述的排气处理装置,其中所述绝缘材料为松散填充绝缘材料。
5.根据权利要求1所述的排气处理装置,其中所述安装环包括与所述内壳的纵轴同轴对齐的中心孔。
6.根据权利要求1所述的排气处理装置,其中所述安装环被固定到所述外壳。
7.根据权利要求2所述的排气处理装置,所述流量分配板包括多个孔,它们被定位成使得排气在进入所述基体之前通过所述孔。
8.根据权利要求1所述的排气处理装置,还包括与所述至少一个排气处理基体同轴对齐并且位于所述内壳内部的第二排气处理基体,所述排气处理装置还包括位于所述第二排气处理基体与所述内壳之间的第二绝缘垫,其中所述内壳包括在所述内壳的所述相对的第一端和第二端之间的另一个直径减小部,该另一个直径减小部接合所述第二绝缘垫并且将所述第二绝缘垫压缩在该另一个直径减小部的内表面与所述第二排气处理基体的外表面之间。
9.根据权利要求8所述的排气处理装置,其中所述内壳包括轴向地位于所述直径减小部与所述另一个直径减小部之间的直径增大部。
10.根据权利要求9所述的排气处理装置,其中所述直径增大部与空隙同轴对齐,该空隙位于所述至少一个排气处理基体与所述第二排气处理基体之间。
