背景技术
过去二十年间,手持设备和个人数据配件,诸如蜂窝电话,PDA等等的数量已急剧增加。全球众多的销售商研发投资量不断增加,努力提供高度精密高度复杂的蜂窝电话。在过去十年间,蜂窝电话的数据处理能力,图形用户接口(GUI)性能及计算能力,以及由现代蜂窝电话支持的各种应用的数量急剧增长。
现代蜂窝电话适于支持多媒体应用,与应用相关的数据,以及各种游戏。有各种下载软件的方式,然后软件由蜂窝电话执行。有各种由蜂窝电话支持的操作系统(诸如:Symbian,Linux,BREW,REX,RTX,PALM,PPC2003等等)。使用跨操作系统的软件工具,诸如JAVATM套件,能够几乎与操作系统无关地开发应用。

Miyatsu等人的U.S.专利申请20030114106描述了一种通过外部通信网络向本地通信网络下载应用软件的远程通信系统和方法。本地通信网络包括包括接口装置的多个装置。该接口装置包括一个接口,其用来与外部通信网络接口,以便通过外部通信网络从应用软件源下载应用软件。本地通信网络最好包括本地无线网络,诸如蓝牙和无线网络,且外部通信网络最好包括一个移动通信网络,用来向本地无线网络的移动电话下载应用软件。
不包含短范围收发器,诸如蓝牙收发器的蜂窝电话,可连接到一个适配器或其它便于与该电话短范围通信的装置。Mooney等人的U.S.专利申请2003/0045235描述了一种智能蓝牙接口网关装置,该装置允许蓝牙头戴送受话器与传统的无线电话(例如没有装蓝牙的无线电话)建立音频连接并通信。该连接只通过监视来自传统无线电话模拟音频插口的音频流中声音和音调的存在来控制。智能蓝牙接口网关装置如同有线头戴送受话器那样附加到无线电话。使用无线电话好似有线的头戴送受话器插入那样。
业内已知有各种用来监视个人健康的方法和装置。它们包括用来收集和处理生理数据的专用的硬件,以及被用来发送收集的信息的无线装置。专用的硬件与蜂窝电话相比远不算精密和有效。专用硬件的研发通常是昂贵的。
以下在此结合以资参考的美国专利和专利申请,提供了本技术系统和装置的状态的简要回顾:Menard的标题为“Personal medicaldevice communication system and method”的U.S.专利申请2004/0027244;Kirk等人的标题为“Health support system”的U.S.专利5390238;Rosenfeldt等人的标题为“Pressure data acquisition devicefor a patient monitoring system”的U.S.专利5566676;Heinonen等人的标题为“Method for monitoring the health of a patient”的U.S.专利5772586,Heinonen等人的标题为“Monitoring method and monitoringequipment”的U.S.专利5840020,以及Heinonen等人的标题为“patient’s nursing apparatus and nursing system”的U.S.专利5983193。

需要提供一种有效的健康监视方法以及有效的个人健康监视器。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种健康监视方法,该方法包括:(i)收集生理数据;(ii)把生理数据提供给蜂窝电话,手持装置或PDA(个人数字助理);(iii)执行健康监视软件以处理生理数据,提供处理的生理数据;以及(iv)发送处理的生理数据。
本发明提供了一种个人健康监视器,它包括:(i)一个生理数据输入装置,可操作以收集生理数据;以及(ii)蜂窝电话,手持装置或个人数据配件,但是个人数据配件适于执行健康监视软件,使得个人数据配件能够接收生理数据,处理生理数据,以提供生理数据并控制处理的生理数据向远程实体的长范围发送。

具体实施方式
以下的说明主要涉及监视个人的健康。要注意,这一方法和监视器可用于同时跟踪多个人,诸如跟踪选手队的行为。
以下的说明还涉及能够装有健康监视软件的蜂窝电话,该软件可使蜂窝电话处理生理数据,且特别是无须附加任何复杂的硬件,诸如附加的处理器。要注意,本发明可用于其它多任务和/或多目标的配件,特别是个人数据助理(PDA),其它又可能是蜂窝电话、掌上计算机等。
以下的说明描述了各种发送器,诸如短范围发送器和长范围发送器。每一发送器与对应的接收器相关联,但为了简化说明,着重于发送器的描述。
要注意,根据本发明各实施例,蜂窝电话(或其它个人数据配件)可包括一个短范围发送器,用来向装有对应的短范围接收器的各个组件(诸如生理数据输入装置,适配器等)发送信息。
以下附图中涉及的蜂窝电话可能类似于图1和2现有技术的蜂窝电话100,但此外具有用来处理生理数据的健康监视软件。
图3-6是根据本发明的各实施例的个人健康监视器,包括一个或多个生理数据输入装置与蜂窝电话(或其它PDA)。每一附图示出一个或多个生理数据输入装置,这些装置可包括至少一个以下的装置:心电图(ECG)输入装置,用来监视血氧饱合的装置,用于监视呼吸的装置,用于监视血糖的装置,用于监视血压的装置,用来监视肺功能的装置,用于监视SpO2饱和的装置,用于监视温度的装置,用于进行肥胖分析的装置,配药器,服药提示器,容器装置,用于孕妇的胎儿心率监视器装置,EEG装置等等。每一生理数据输入装置包括至少一个传感器,并可能包括一个模拟组件,诸如模拟放大器,模拟比较器等。这种生理数据输入装置还可包括模拟到数字的转换器(ADC),虽然这种ADC一般位于连接到生理数据输入装置的另一组件之内。

生理数据输入装置202通过导线204连接到短范围的发送器206,或装置202嵌入在206中。短范围发送器206适于向蜂窝电话210或其它个人数据配件无线发送收集的生理数据。或者是生理数据输入装置202,或者是短范围发送器206包含一个模拟到数字转换器,用于提供表示人200的生理状态的信号的数字流。
根据本发明各实施例,短范围发送器206向蜂窝电话以脉冲发送生理数据。脉冲发送器是业内已知的,不需要附加的说明。一般这种发送器包括一个或多个缓冲器或其它存储组件(诸如存储栈,多存储单元等),用来在以脉冲发送之前存储数据。脉冲可在满足一定的发送条件(例如一个或多个缓冲器充满)的任何时候发送,或以预定的方式被发送。脉冲速率通常表示由生理数据输入装置提供的生理数据的采样速率之间和发送速率之间的比例。一般采样速率的选择要使其满足尼奎斯特(Nyquist)条件。
短范围发送器206可使用纠错算法,诸如CRC,以便补偿短范围发送中可能的差错。短范围发送可以标准的方式实现,例如根据蓝牙标准,但这并非必须。
还要注意的是,短范围发送电路可驻留在蜂窝电话210内,或借助于短范围发送适配器222附加到电话上,如图5所示。
图4示出本发明的另一实施例,其中生理数据输入装置202通过导线208经附加的组件,诸如协议适配器212连接到蜂窝电话210。附加的组件可包括一个单个的转换器,其适于把来自生理数据输入装置202的信号转换为移动电话210可识别的格式。该转换器可包括一个模拟到数字转换器,适配的通信协议等。

由第一人200佩戴的生理数据输入装置202以导线204连接到短范围发送器206。短范围发送器206把生理数据发送到蜂窝电话210,在此数据被处理。蜂窝电话210能够确定是发送被处理的数据,还是发送数据的一部分,或完全不发送。
蜂窝电话210,通过由无线链路240表示的蜂窝式网络或通过其它网络诸如因特网244,连接到远程医疗中心250。远程医疗中心250可通过其它网络诸如因特网244连接到各种数据库和辅助设备242。
第二个人201也佩戴着由导线204连接到短范围发送器206的生理数据输入装置202,该发送器又将生理数据发送到短范围接收器246,该接收器通过由链路248表示的WLAN,有线电视,卫星电视,CCTV,电话线路,GSM/GPRS,CDMA,TDMA,iTV,因特网和其它网络,能够把数据发送到远程医疗中心250。这种情形下,收集的生理数据能够由短范围接收器246(或更具体来说由连接到接收器的处理器)分析。在有线电视,CCTV,ITV,卫星电视等的情形下,电视装置可以是用户的GUI接口装置。
各种远程医疗中心也称为中心医疗监视站,并在业内是已知的。这种中心在Geva的标题为“用于移动患者的个人流动蜂窝式健康监视器”的U.S.专利6366871中描述,该文献在此结合以资参考。注意,Geva描述了能够与人进行话音通信的一种监视器,这一特点可使用蜂窝电话210实现。
生理数据输入装置202和蜂窝电话210可以各种模式操作,这包括:(i)由人激发的事件的记录,或者由人启动,第三方(诸如临床医生)启动,或根据警告,其中人进行一个或多个测试,并向远程医疗中心230发送处理的生理数据。这种模式下,在测试事件期间或结束时,远程医疗中心230可在开始发送被处理的医疗数据的事件时联系。(ii)连续的监视,其中生理数据周期地被捕获并发送到远程医疗中心230。连续监视可按以下任何方式提供:患者启动的事件记录器,其中被处理的事件前/事件/事件后的数据发送到远程医疗中心230;装置启动的事件记录器,其中检测到生理数据落到预设参数之外;霍尔德模式,其中当适配器的缓冲器或蜂窝电话被分配用来存储已处理的(或未处理的)生理数据的存储器空间变得满时,被处理的生理数据被自动发送;以及霍尔德模式,其中被处理的生理数据由人在任何时候发送。
图10示出根据本发明的实施例健康监视软件300的配置。健康监视软件300包括蜂窝电话和用于被处理的生理数据长范围发送的无线网络之间的驱动程序/API310,例如根据GPRS,CDMA,GSM等。健康监视软件还包括API或驱动程序312,用于蜂窝电话接收生理数据的短范围或有线数据链路。健康监视软件还包括生理数据处理软件组件314,以及接口软件组件316。
要注意,可采用其它软件配置。还要注意,驱动程序/API可以是蜂窝电话非医疗软件组件的一部分。例如,具有嵌入的短范围接收器的蜂窝电话包括短范围通信软件,与医疗应用的存在无关。
用户接口组件316可采用业内已知的各种技术,例如但非限制于基于菜单的接口,其中人可在蜂窝电话显示屏上显示的各种选项之间作出各种选择。还要注意,如果有现代电话先进的多媒体功能,则用户接口还能够包括接收话音输入并输出话音输出。
生理数据处理软件组件314可采用各种熟知的算法,用以处理生理数据。
例如,该软件能够使个人健康监视器1进行以下至少之一:(i)以不同的量化水平(最高达8位)不同的采样速率(包括100Hz)进行心律不齐自动分析,(ii)在不同的噪声条件下进行导程心律不齐检测,(iii)对患者正常心脏跳动形态进行连续的自动适应,(iv)进行连续的实时处理,并按要求提供患者心脏状态的概述,(v)进行环境和自适应噪声/运动的人为因素消除,(vi)使得人能够调节由系统(例如连续的PVC心脏跳动数和最小心率以便定义VT)和其它检测到的病理学序列定义。
健康监视软件300可检测各种医学事件,并确定人的医学状态。在除了上述模式之外的某些操作模式下,医学事件的发生可能启动被处理的生理数据的发送,并甚至引起蜂窝电话210产生音频和/或视频警告消息。这一健康监视软件300能够处理收到的生理数据,以确定以下情况的发生:孤立的室性提早收缩(PVC),孤立的房性提早收缩(PAC),二联律,三联律,对联,心动过缓,心动过速,室性心动过速,前室性心动过速。该软件可检测形态变化,进行PR,ST,QRS,QT分割,心率可变性(HRV)分析及QT分析等。
根据本发明的各实施例,健康监视软件300可引起蜂窝电话显示被监视的生理数据的图形或其它可视的表示。根据本发明的一个实施例,蜂窝电话210能够检索与该人相关的医学信息,并显示检索的医学信息。为了防止这种特征的非授权使用,蜂窝电话可采用各种措施,诸如口令保护,生物计量措施等。图11示出一插入装置400,根据本发明的一个实施例,该装置可拆卸连接到蜂窝电话210。该插入装置可收集一种或多种生理数据,并可包括一个或多个前述的传感器,模拟电路,并甚至可包括多路复用器和模拟到数字转换器,及电缆/直接连接,以及与基于微处理器的蜂窝电话通信。以下的情形提供了人与监视器之间的交互的例子。为了叙述的简略,我们参照图11的插入装置,但这适用于上述的配置。糖水平的测试包括以下阶段:人通过按动一定的按钮启动该测试,人在插入装置的条带腔体中插入一个条带,人在条带上放置一滴血,该插入把反映该滴血内容的生理数据发送到蜂窝电话210,蜂窝电话转而处理收集到的生理数据以确定糖的水平。人还可查看先前的糖水平的测试,例如在由人定义的时间周期期间。蜂窝电话可把结果的历史趋势图与以不同颜色加亮的正常水平一同显示。ECG测试可包括以下阶段:人按动一定的按钮,人把他的手指放在电极上,个人的生理监视器取得并处理生理数据,以确定人的状况,在蜂窝电话监视器上显示心电图。人可看见先前测试的结果,和/或确定是否保存当前测试的结果等。
图12是根据本发明实施例的健康监视方法500的流程图。
方法500以通常由一个或多个生理数据输入装置收集生理数据的阶段510开始。可使用图3-6,8所示的配置之一。数据是通过一个或多个生理数据输入装置收集的。
阶段510随后是向蜂窝电话或其它个人数据配件提供生理数据的阶段520。这一阶段可包括生理数据的短范围发送,基于导线发送等。
阶段520之后处理生理数据的阶段530,以提供处理过的生理数据。阶段530可包括采用各种熟知的算法,诸如以上所述的算法。
阶段530之后是最好向远程医疗中心发送处理的生理数据的阶段540。这阶段通常包括信息长范围的发送。
根据本发明的另一实施例,被分析的生理数据以及来自个人位置可选的信息可被发送到一个中心,诸如医疗中心250,并可用来提供并控制膳食和/或锻炼情况。例如,人开始跑步并开始发送位置信息。这一位置信息与其发送的定时一同可用来确定人是否在跑动,他跑的距离,甚至还有在他跑步期间估计消耗的卡路里。这一数据可添加到诸如心率和肥胖测量的生理数据,以提供关于膳食身体健全状况进展的指示。蜂窝电话210可用来发送个人关于进食表,体育锻炼等的指示。

Claims (10)

1.一种个人健康监视器,包括:
生理数据输入装置,其可操作以收集生理数据;以及
个人数据配件,该个人数据配件适于执行健康监视软件,以使个人数据配件接收生理数据、处理生理数据,以提供生理数据并控制已处理过的生理数据向远程实体的长范围发送,其中个人数据配件是一个蜂窝电话而不附加任何额外硬件。
2.根据权利要求1的个人健康监视器,其中个人数据配件包括一个电池,且其中生理数据输入装置适于从电池接收能量。
3.根据权利要求1的个人健康监视器,其中生理数据输入装置适于向个人数据配件短范围发送生理数据。
4.根据权利要求3的个人健康监视器,其中生理数据输入装置包括一个脉冲发送器,用于以脉冲形式发送生理数据。
5.根据权利要求1的个人健康监视器,还包括一个位置确定电路,用来向无线装置提供位置信息。
6.根据权利要求1的个人健康监视器,其中生理数据输入装置的形状便于可拆卸地附加到无线装置。
7.根据权利要求1的个人健康监视器,其中如果确定医学事件发生,个人数据配件适于长范围发送生理数据输入。
8.根据权利要求1的个人健康监视器,还包括与个人数据配件连接的协议适配器,适于把来自生理数据输入装置的信号转换为个人数据配件可识别的格式。
9.根据权利要求1的个人健康监视器,还包括一个适配器,用来向个人数据配件发送从多个生理数据输入装置收集的数据。
10.根据权利要求1的个人健康监视器,还包括一个适配器,用来对从多个生理数据输入装置提供的信号进行模拟处理及模拟到数字的转换。
