技术领域

背景技术

发明内容

具体实施方式
当发动机的汽缸被停用时,发动机的点火序列可能被调节以获得所需数量的停用汽缸和/或改变哪些汽缸被停用。该点火序列可被调节,而与车辆的噪声和振动性能无关。因此,当汽缸被停用时,驾驶员可感知到车辆的噪声和振动的增加。
点火序列可具有交替模式、连续模式或者包括交替模式和连续模式两者的混合模式。具有交替模式的点火序列随着该点火序列根据发动机的点火次序推进而在点火汽缸与非点火汽缸之间交替。例如,对于四缸发动机来说,具有交替模式的点火序列可以是0-1-0-1,其中1代表点火汽缸,而0代表非点火汽缸。
具有连续模式的点火序列包括当该点火序列根据发动机的点火次序推进时的连续点火汽缸和/或连续非点火汽缸。例如,对于四缸发动机来说,具有连续模式的点火序列可以是1-0-0-1,其中1代表点火汽缸,而0代表非点火汽缸。对于八缸发动机来说,具有混合模式的示例性点火序列可以是0-1-0-1-1-0-0-1,其中1代表点火汽缸,而0代表非点火汽缸。
根据本公开的原理的系统和方法基于发动机速度的谱密度来调节发动机的点火序列,以在汽缸被停用时减少噪声和振动。点火序列可被调节,以调节哪些汽缸被停用和/或调节停用汽缸的数量。在一个示例中,谱密度是能量谱密度,其代表与相对于发动机速度的倒数来说的曲轴运动相关的能量的量。在另一示例中,谱密度是功率谱密度,其代表与相对于发动机速度的倒数来说的曲轴运动相关的功率的量。在任一示例中,由发动机产生的噪声和振动的量与该谱密度成正比。
为了减少发动机振动,当谱密度大于第一阈值(例如,第一预定值)时可调节点火序列。在一个示例中,当谱密度大于该第一阈值时,停用汽缸的数量减少。在另一示例中,当谱密度大于该第一阈值时,点火序列或者点火序列的一部分在交替模式与连续模式之间切换。
为了提高燃料经济性并且同时减少发动机振动,当发动机在增加数量的停用汽缸下可满足驾驶员扭矩请求时,可增加停用汽缸的数量。当谱密度大于第一阈值时可增加停用汽缸的数量。此外或替代地,当谱密度小于第二阈值(例如,第二预定值)时,可增加停用汽缸的数量。该第二阈值小于第一阈值。
现参考图1,发动机系统100包括发动机102,其燃烧空气/燃料混合物以产生用于车辆的驱动扭矩。由发动机102产生的驱动扭矩的量基于来自驾驶员输入模块104的驾驶员输入而定。空气通过进气系统108被吸入到发动机102内。进气系统108包括进气歧管110和节气门112。节气门112可以包括具有可旋转叶片的蝶形阀。发动机控制模块(ECM)114控制节气门致动器模块116,其调整节气门112的开度以控制被吸入进气歧管110的空气的量。
来自进气歧管110的空气被吸入到发动机102的汽缸内。为了图释目的,示出单个代表性汽缸118。然而,发动机102可以包括多个汽缸。例如,发动机102可以包括2、3、4、5、6、8、10和/或12个汽缸。ECM 114可以停用汽缸中的一个或更多个,这在某些发动机运行条件下可以改善燃料经济性。
发动机102可以使用四冲程循环而操作。所述四冲程包括进气冲程、压缩冲程、燃烧冲程和排气冲程。在曲轴(未示出)的每圈回转期间,在汽缸118内发生这四个冲程中的两个。因此,为了使得汽缸118经历全部四个冲程,二圈曲轴回转是必要的。

在排气冲程期间,活塞开始从BDC向上运动并且通过排气门130排出燃烧副产物。燃烧副产物经由排气系统134从车辆排出。
可以由进气凸轮轴140控制进气门122,而可以由排气凸轮轴142控制排气门130。在各种实施方式中,多个进气凸轮轴(包括进气凸轮轴140)可以控制汽缸118的多个进气门(包括进气门122)和/或可以控制多组汽缸(包括汽缸118)的进气门(包括进气门122)。类似地,多个排气凸轮轴(包括排气凸轮轴142)可以控制汽缸118的多个排气门和/或可以控制多组汽缸(包括汽缸118)的排气门(包括排气门130)。
进气门122打开的时间可以由进气凸轮移相器148相对于活塞TDC改变。排气门130打开的时间可以由排气凸轮移相器150相对于活塞TDC改变。ECM 114可禁止打开停用汽缸的进气门122和排气门130。移相器致动器模块158可以基于来自ECM 114的信号来控制进气凸轮移相器148和排气凸轮移相器150。当被实施时,可变气门升程(未示出)也可以由移相器致动器模块158控制。

谱密度模块208利用例如快速傅里叶变换来确定发动机速度的谱密度。在一个示例中,谱密度是能量谱密度,其代表与相对于发动机速度的倒数来说的曲轴运动相关的能量的量。在另一示例中,谱密度是功率谱密度,其代表与相对于发动机速度的倒数来说的曲轴运动相关的功率的量。在任一示例中,该谱密度与由发动机102产生的振动的量成正比。谱密度模块208可确定每个发动机循环(例如,每720度的曲轴旋转)的谱密度。谱密度模块208输出该谱密度。
点火序列模块210确定发动机102中的汽缸的点火序列。点火序列规定汽缸有效(即,点火)还是停用(即,非点火)。该点火序列可对应于发动机循环(例如,720度的曲轴旋转),并且可包括与发动机102中的汽缸数量相等的多个汽缸事件。汽缸事件可指代点火事件和/或曲柄角度增量,在所述点火事件和/或曲柄角度增量期间,在汽缸有效时在所述汽缸中产生火花。点火序列可根据发动机的点火次序来推进。点火序列模块210输出该点火序列。
点火序列模块210可在每次发动机循环之后和/或在每次点火序列结束时估计和/或调节点火序列。点火序列模块210可以从一个发动机循环到下一发动机循环改变点火序列以便改变有效汽缸的数量,而不会改变汽缸点火的次序。例如,对于具有点火次序1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3的八缸发动机而言,点火序列1-8-7-2-5-3可以规定用于一个发动机循环,并且点火序列1-7-2-5-3可以规定用于下一发动机循环。这将有效汽缸的数量从6减少到5。
点火序列模块210可基于接收自汽缸停用模块204的指令从一个发动机循环到下一发动机循环改变有效汽缸的数量。汽缸停用模块204可使得有效汽缸的数量在两个整数之间交替,以获得等于两个整数的平均值的有效汽缸计数。例如,汽缸停用模块204可使得有效汽缸的数量在5和6之间交替,从而得到5.5的有效汽缸计数。
点火序列模块210可以从一个发动机循环到下一发动机循环改变点火序列以便改变哪些汽缸点火,并且因此改变哪些汽缸有效,而不改变有效汽缸的数量。例如,当如上所述的八缸发动机的三个汽缸被停用时,点火序列1-7-2-5-3可以规定用于一个发动机循环,并且点火序列8-2-6-4-3可以规定用于下一发动机循环。这会停用汽缸1、7和5并且重新启用汽缸8、6和4。
点火序列模块210可调节点火序列以具有交替模式、连续模式、或者包括交替和连续部分两者的混合模式。具有交替模式的点火序列随着该点火序列根据发动机的点火次序推进而在点火汽缸与非点火汽缸之间交替。例如,对于四缸发动机来说,具有交替模式的点火序列可以是0-1-0-1,其中1代表点火汽缸,而0代表非点火汽缸。
具有连续模式的点火序列包括连续点火汽缸和/或连续非点火汽缸。例如,对于四缸发动机来说,具有连续模式的点火序列可以是1-0-0-1,其中1代表点火汽缸,而0代表非点火汽缸。对于八缸发动机来说,具有混合模式的示例性点火序列可以是0-1-0-1-1-0-0-1,其中1代表点火汽缸,而0代表非点火汽缸。
点火序列模块210基于谱密度来调节哪些汽缸被停用和/或停用汽缸的数量。当谱密度大于第一阈值时,点火序列模块210可调节哪些汽缸被停用和/或减少停用汽缸的数量(例如,重新启用汽缸)。点火序列模块通过将点火序列或点火序列的一部分在交替模式和连续模式之间切换而可调节哪些汽缸被停用。
点火序列模块210可将点火序列调节至如上所述包括交替和连续部分两者的混合模式,并且每个部分可被称为点火序列。此外,点火序列模块210可从一个发动机循环到下一发动机循环将点火序列在交替模式和连续模式之间交替。在任一情况下,谱密度模块208都可确定交替序列的第一谱密度以及连续序列的第二谱密度。
如果第一谱密度大于第一阈值并且第二谱密度小于第一阈值,那么谱密度模块208可将交替序列调节为连续序列。如果第一谱密度小于第一阈值并且第二谱密度大于第一阈值,那么点火序列模块210可将连续序列调节为交替序列。如果第一谱密度和第二谱密度都大于第一阈值,那么点火序列模块210可调节停用汽缸的数量。
当发动机102在增加数量的停用汽缸下可满足驾驶员扭矩请求时,点火序列模块210可增加停用汽缸的数量。在一个示例中,在增加停用汽缸的数量之前,点火序列模块210将停用汽缸的增加数量输出给汽缸停用模块204。汽缸停用模块204于是确定发动机102在增加数量的停用汽缸下是否可满足驾驶员扭矩请求,并且将该确定输出给点火序列模块210。
当谱密度大于第一阈值并且发动机102在增加数量的停用汽缸下可满足驾驶员扭矩请求时,点火序列模块210可增加停用汽缸的数量。可暂时地增加停用汽缸的数量以确定增加停用汽缸的数量是否会将谱密度减少成小于第一阈值。如果情况如此,那么停用汽缸的数量可保持在增加的水平。
当谱密度小于第二阈值并且发动机102在增加数量的停用汽缸下可满足驾驶员扭矩请求时,点火序列模块210可增加停用汽缸的数量。该第二阈值小于第一阈值。点火序列模块210将点火序列输出给燃料控制模块212、火花控制模块214和气门控制模块216。
燃料控制模块212指令燃料致动器模块124以根据点火序列向发动机102的汽缸提供燃料。火花控制模块214指令火花致动器模块126根据点火序列在发动机102的汽缸中产生火花。火花控制模块214可输出表明在点火序列中哪个汽缸是下一汽缸的信号。气门控制模块216指令气门致动器模块160根据点火序列来打开发动机102的进气门和排气门。
现参考图3,在302开始用于控制发动机的点火序列以当发动机的汽缸被停用时减少振动的方法。在304,该方法基于测量曲轴位置来确定发动机速度。该方法可确定在曲轴旋转的预定增量(例如,6度)下的发动机速度。因此,对于与720度的曲轴旋转对应的发动机循环来说,该方法可产生发动机速度的120个样本。
在306,该方法利用例如快速傅里叶变换来确定发动机速度的能量谱密度(ESD)。该方法可基于该能量谱密度来调节发动机的点火序列和/或发动机中的停用汽缸的数量。此外或替代地,该方法可确定发动机速度的功率谱密度,并且基于功率谱密度来调节点火序列和/或停用汽缸的数量。
在308,该方法确定能量谱密度是否大于第一阈值。如果能量谱密度大于第一阈值,那么该方法在310继续。否则,该方法在312继续。在310,该方法确定对应于能量谱密度的点火序列是否具有交替模式。如果该点火序列具有交替模式,那么该方法在314继续。否则,该方法在316继续。
在314,该方法确定连续序列的能量谱密度是否小于第一阈值。该连续序列可以是点火序列的一部分,并且对应于该能量谱密度的交替序列可以是该点火序列的另一部分。替代地,该方法可从一个发动机循环至下一发动机循环在交替序列与连续序列之间交替。
如果连续序列的能量谱密度小于第一阈值,那么该方法在318继续。否则,该方法在312继续。在318,该方法将交替序列调节为连续序列。
在316,该方法确定交替序列的能量谱密度是否小于第一阈值。该交替序列可以是点火序列的一部分,并且对应于该能量谱密度的连续序列可以是该点火序列的另一部分。替代地,该方法可从一个发动机循环至下一发动机循环在交替序列与连续序列之间交替。
如果交替序列的能量谱密度小于第一阈值,那么该方法在322继续。否则,该方法在312继续。在322,该方法将连续序列调节为交替序列。
在312,该方法确定能量谱密度是否小于第二阈值。如果该能量谱密度小于第二阈值,那么该方法在320继续。否则,该方法在304继续。
在320,该方法确定驾驶员扭矩请求。该方法基于加速器踏板的位置和/或基于来自巡航控制系统的输入来确定驾驶员扭矩请求,所述巡航控制系统可以是改变车辆速度以便维持预定跟随距离的自适应巡航控制系统。在324,该方法预计对于增加数量的停用汽缸(例如,当前停用的汽缸数量加一)来说的发动机扭矩输出。
在326,该方法确定预计扭矩输出是否大于驾驶员扭矩请求。如果预计扭矩输出大于驾驶员扭矩请求,那么该方法在328继续。否则,该方法在330继续。
在328,该方法将停用汽缸的数量增加至与预计扭矩输出对应的停用汽缸的数量。在330,该方法减少停用汽缸的数量。在各个实施方式中,当能量谱密度小于第二阈值时,该方法可防止停用汽缸的数量减少。
现参考图4,全部汽缸都点火的八缸发动机的发动机速度402关于x轴404和y轴406被绘制。x轴404代表单位为弧度(rad)的曲柄角度,其中0弧度的曲柄角度可对应于在上止点之后大约90度的曲轴旋转。y轴406代表单位为转每分(RPM)的发动机速度。发动机速度402是连续正弦线,其在每个汽缸点火之后增大并且在点火事件之间随着汽缸内的气体被压缩而减小。
现参考图5,发动机速度402在0.098弧度与6.28弧度之间的能量谱密度502关于x轴504和y轴506被绘制。x轴504代表曲柄角度的倒数(单位为1/rad),并且与单位为赫兹(Hz)的频率成比例。y轴506代表每曲柄角度倒数的能量,并且与单位为焦耳每赫兹(J/Hz)的每频率能量成比例。出于讨论目的,y轴506的单位将被称为能量单位。由于发动机速度402以恒定的频率和幅值增加和减少,因此能量谱密度502包括在508处的单个峰值,其具有大约700能量单位的相对低的幅值。

现参考图10,能量谱密度1002、1004和1006对应于被绘制在关于x轴1008和y轴1010的柱状图上的能量谱密度502、702和902。x轴1008代表当执行发动机速度402、602和802的快速傅里叶变换时采集的样本。在各个实施方式中,发动机速度以Nyquist速率的两倍被采样,以产生能量谱密度。因此,被采集以产生该能量谱密度的样本的数量可等于发动机速度样本的数量的一半。
根据本公开的系统和方法在对应于汽缸停用的能量谱密度大于第一阈值1012(例如,1125能量单位)时调节哪些汽缸点火和/或非点火汽缸的数量。在图10中示出的对应于汽缸停用的能量谱密度包括能量谱密度1004和1006。
在一个示例中,当能量谱密度1004和1006大于第一阈值1012时,停用汽缸的数量减少(即,汽缸被重新启用)。在第二示例中,当能量谱密度1004大于第一阈值1012时,对应于能量谱密度1004的点火序列的模式从交替模式改变为连续模式。在第三示例中,当能量谱密度1006大于第一阈值1012时,对应于能量谱密度1006的点火序列的模式从连续模式改变为交替模式。
当能量谱密度1004、1006小于第二阈值1014(例如,925能量单位)时,根据本公开的系统和方法可增加非点火汽缸的数量。例如,当能量谱密度1004、1006小于第二阈值1014并且在附加汽缸被停用的情况下发动机可满足驾驶员扭矩请求时,可增加非点火汽缸的数量。
相对于在一个频率下的发动机振动来说,驾驶员可能对在另一频率下的发动机振动更为敏感。因此,第一和第二阈值1012、1014可基于相应频率(或发动机速度的倒数)而改变。此外,当变速器档位改变时,动力系的旋转惯量改变。动力系的旋转惯量的改变影响发动机的扭矩输出和速度,这继而影响发动机速度的谱密度。因此,第一和第二阈值1012、1014可基于变速器档位被加权。

Claims (10)
1.一种系统,所述系统包括:
谱密度模块,所述谱密度模块确定发动机速度的谱密度;
点火序列模块,所述点火序列模块:
基于驾驶员扭矩请求来选择启用发动机的第一组M个汽缸;
基于所述驾驶员扭矩请求来选择停用所述发动机的第二组N个汽缸;
选择点火序列以启用所述第一组M个汽缸以及停用所述第二组N个汽缸,其中,所述点火序列规定所述发动机的每个汽缸是有效的还是停用的;以及
基于所述谱密度,调节所述点火序列以执行下述中的至少一项:
调节所述发动机的哪些汽缸被包括在所述第一组中以及所述发动机的哪些汽缸被包括在所述第二组中;以及
调节M和N,其中M和N是大于或等于一的整数。
2.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,当所述谱密度大于预定值时,所述点火序列模块调节所述点火序列以调节所述发动机的哪些汽缸被包括在所述第一组中以及所述发动机的哪些汽缸被包括在所述第二组中。
3.根据权利要求2所述的系统,其中:
当所述谱密度大于所述预定值时,所述点火序列模块将所述点火序列的至少一部分在交替模式与连续模式之间切换;
当所述点火序列具有所述交替模式时,所述点火序列在点火汽缸与非点火汽缸之间交替;以及
当所述点火序列具有所述连续模式时,所述点火序列包括连续点火汽缸和连续非点火汽缸中的至少一种。
4.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,当所述谱密度大于第一预定值时,所述点火序列模块调节所述点火序列以调节M和N。
5.根据权利要求4所述的系统,其中,当所述谱密度大于所述第一预定值时,所述点火序列模块调节所述点火序列以减少N。
6.根据权利要求4所述的系统,其中,当所述谱密度大于所述第一预定值时,所述点火序列模块选择性地调节所述点火序列以增加N。
7.根据权利要求6所述的系统,其中:
当所述谱密度小于第二预定值时,所述点火序列模块选择性地调节所述点火序列以增加N;以及
所述第二预定值小于所述第一预定值。
8.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其中,所述点火序列模块:
预计在N增加至第一数量之后所述发动机的扭矩容量;以及
当所述扭矩容量大于所述驾驶员扭矩请求时调节所述点火序列以将N增加至所述第一数量。
9.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述谱密度是能量谱密度,所述能量谱密度代表与相对于所述发动机速度的倒数来说的曲轴运动相关的能量的量。
10.一种方法,所述方法包括:
确定发动机速度的谱密度;
基于驾驶员扭矩请求来选择启用发动机的第一组M个汽缸;
基于所述驾驶员扭矩请求来选择停用所述发动机的第二组N个汽缸;
选择点火序列以启用所述第一组M个汽缸以及停用所述第二组N个汽缸,其中,所述点火序列规定所述发动机的每个汽缸是有效的还是停用的;以及
基于所述谱密度,调节所述点火序列以执行下述中的至少一项:
调节所述发动机的哪些汽缸被包括在所述第一组中以及所述发动机的哪些汽缸被包括在所述第二组中;以及
调节M和N,其中M和N是大于或等于一的整数。
