背景技术
例如TV和监视器的显示装置包括显示面板,例如LCD(液晶显示器)和OLED(有机发光二极管)。对于具有较大的观看区域的显示面板,制造工艺是重要的,而且需要维持显示面板的特性的技术。例如,在宽度与长度比为21:9的宽屏显示面板中,作为扫描线的栅极线的长度比该比为16:9的显示面板中的栅极线的长度长至少30%。在这种情况下,随着栅极线的电阻增大,信号失真增加,因此劣化了图像品质。

图4示出了根据现有技术的栅极线。半导体层41中的栅极线42具有预定的宽度并跨过半导体层41延伸。栅极线42从其相对的端部接收来自驱动器电路作为驱动信号的栅极信号43。图4中示出的栅极线42沿长度方向具有恒定的宽度。
随着栅极线42长度的增加,由于栅极线42的电阻增加,会导致驱动信号失真。图5示出了根据现有技术的栅极信号的失真。如图5中所示,由于随着栅极信号从栅极线52的端部53传输到中心部分54,栅极信号逐渐被栅极线52的电阻所影响,所以栅极信号的波形55、56和57从栅极线52的端部53至中心部分54越来越失真。当栅极线52的栅极信号失真时,发生基于栅极线52的部分的充电率的差异,从而造成图像品质的劣化。
图6示出了根据示例性实施例的栅极线。实施例的栅极线62的厚度从端部63到中心部分64沿栅极线62的长度方向逐渐增大。即,将栅极线62在端部63处的宽度限定为a,将栅极线62在中心部分64处的宽度限定为c,将栅极线62的在端部63和中心部分64之间的部分处的宽度限定为b。如图6中所示,宽度a小于宽度b,宽度b小于宽度c。当栅极线62的宽度增大时,栅极线62的电阻减小,从而对在栅极线62中流动的栅极信号的影响较小。因此,可以使栅极信号的波形65的失真最小化。栅极线62的宽度可以考虑到栅极信号的波形65的失真来进行调节。例如,栅极线62在端部63处的宽度可以是栅极线62在中心部分64处的宽度的30%至50%。
参照图6,当栅极线62的宽度变化时,像素区域66至68的尺寸也会相应地变化。在实施例中,像素区域66至68是指光透射通过半导体层41的区域。如图6中所示,像素区域66至68的尺寸从端部63至中心部分64逐渐减小。因此,通过半导体层41的光的透射程度会从端部63至中心部分64逐渐减小。

如上所述,通过调节导光板73的图案,显示单元13的整体透射度是恒定的而与显示单元131的区域无关。图9是示出了基于显示单元13的区域的像素区域的尺寸、导光板的输出亮度和整体透射度的曲线图。在图9的曲线图中,A、B和C分别是指与图6中示出的栅极线62的三个部分a、b和c对应的区域。参照图9,从区域A至区域C,即,从栅极线62的端部63至栅极线62的中心部分64,像素区域66至68的尺寸逐渐减小(见91),而导光板73的输出亮度逐渐增大(见92)。不管怎样,导光板73的输出亮度的增大补偿了由像素区域66至68的尺寸的减小而造成的光透射程度的减小,从而显示单元13的整体透射度93是恒定的而与显示单元13的区域无关。

其中,所述至少一条线的宽度从所述一个端部和所述另一端部两者至所述中心部分逐渐增大,
其中,所述显示单元还包括导光板,导光板包括用于对因线的中心部分和端部之间的宽度差异而造成的通过像素区域的光透射度的变化进行补偿的图案。
2.根据权利要求1的显示装置,其中,驱动信号包括施加到开关元件的栅极的栅极信号,所述多条线包括用于传输栅极信号的多条栅极线。
3.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,光输出层包括液晶层。
4.根据权利要求3所述的显示装置,其中,所述显示单元还包括提供光的光源单元,导光板引导从光源单元提供的光被发射到显示面板。
5.根据权利要求4所述的显示装置,其中,图像处理单元输出图像的对应部分的亮度进行了调节的图像信号,以对因线的中心部分和端部之间的宽度差异而造成的光透射度的变化进行补偿。
6.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,光输出层包括有机电致发光层。
