本发明提供一种圆盘辊用基材,其中,所述基材包含:20~38重量%的硅酸铝纤维,其中,所述硅酸铝纤维中45μm以上的渣球为5重量%以下,并且所述硅酸铝纤维含有40重量%以上且60重量%以下的氧化铝和40重量%以上且60重量%以下的二氧化硅;10~30重量%的木节粘土;2~20重量%的膨润土;和20~40重量%的云母。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及适用于制造平板玻璃的圆盘辊(disk roll)及其基材。
背景技术
平板玻璃通过将玻璃熔融物连续地供给到装置中,使其从该装置上带状地流下,在流下中冷却使其固化来进行制造。圆盘辊起到一对拉伸辊的作用,用于夹着带状玻璃熔融物强制地向下方送出。
圆盘辊通常是将硬纸板(millboard)(板状成型体,基材)冲压成环状而制成圆盘材料,将多枚该圆盘材料嵌插至成为旋转轴的传动轴(shaft)中制成辊状的层叠物,通过配置于两端的凸缘对整体进行加压固定而成的。圆盘材料的外周面起到玻璃熔融物的运送面的作用。
圆盘辊由于是运送带状玻璃熔融物的物质,因此,寻求耐热性、柔软性、硬度、以及不损伤玻璃表面,已知有含有耐热性无机纤维、云母、粘土的圆盘辊等(专利文献1~3)。
圆盘辊通常根据滤水性的好坏,用抽吸脱水成型法或者抄纸法来制造原料的水性浆料。在抄纸法中由于能够制造更大的薄片,因此效率良好,但是滤水性必须良好。

发明内容
发明所要解决的技术问题
然而,成为原料的耐热性高的含有70重量%以上的氧化铝的无机纤维高价。另外,为了高效地进行制造,寻求可以用抄纸法进行制造,并且从水性浆料滤水时的滤水时间短。
本发明的目的在于提供一种不使用高价的纤维,能够高效地制造的圆盘辊及其基材。
解决技术问题的技术手段
根据本发明,可以提供以下的无机纤维等。
1.一种圆盘辊用基材,其中,所述圆盘辊用基材包含:
约20重量%~约38重量%的硅酸铝纤维,其中,所述硅酸铝纤维中约45μm以上的渣球(shot)为约5重量%以下,并且所述硅酸铝纤维含有约40重量%以上且约60重量%以下的氧化铝和约40重量%以上且约60重量%以下的二氧化硅;
约10重量%~约30重量%的木节粘土;
约2重量%~约20重量%的膨润土;和
约20重量%~约40重量%的云母。
2.如1所述的圆盘辊用基材,其中,进一步包含纸浆和淀粉。
3.一种圆盘辊用基材的制造方法,其中,将含有约40重量%以上且约60重量%以下的氧化铝和约40重量%以上且约60重量%以下的二氧化硅的粗纤维脱粒,制造约45μm以上的渣球为约5重量%以下的硅酸铝纤维,
将水、所述硅酸铝纤维、木节粘土、膨润土和云母混合,制造水性浆料,
通过将水性浆料流入模具中,滤水,从而制造薄片。
4.一种圆盘辊,其中,所述圆盘辊包含1或2所述的基材。
5.一种玻璃的制造方法,其中,使用4所述的圆盘辊来运送玻璃熔融物,并冷却玻璃熔融物。
发明的效果
根据本发明,可以提供一种不使用高价纤维,并且能够高效地制造的圆盘辊及其基材。

图1是表示使用圆盘辊的玻璃的制造方法的一个例子的图。
具体实施方式
本发明的圆盘用基材包含陶瓷纤维(硅酸铝纤维)、木节粘土、膨润土以及云母。
陶瓷纤维的含量为20~38重量%,优选为25~38重量%,进一步优选为25~35重量%。在陶瓷纤维小于20重量%的时候,耐热性变低;在陶瓷纤维超过38重量%时,由于空隙量增加,因此,耐磨损性可能发生恶化。
本发明中使用的陶瓷纤维含有40重量%以上且60重量%以下的氧化铝,优选含有45重量%以上且55重量%以下。另外,陶瓷纤维含有40重量%以上且60重量%以下的二氧化硅,优选含有45重量%以上且55重量%以下。纤维也可以使用1种或者将2种以上混合使用。
陶瓷纤维的平均纤维直径通常为2~5μm左右。
原料的陶瓷纤维陶瓷通常含有未纤维化物(渣球),通过用干式或者湿式的方法进行脱粒可以降低渣球。
本发明中使用的陶瓷纤维只含有5重量%以下的45μm以上的渣球(未纤维化物),优选只含有2重量%以下。使用渣球多的纤维制造的圆盘辊可能弄伤玻璃表面。渣球的大小通常为45~5000μm左右。
基材含有10~30重量%的木节粘土,优选含有15~25重量%。如果在该范围内含有木节粘土,则表面润滑性(平滑性)变得良好。
含有2~20重量%的膨润土,优选含有2~15重量%,进一步优选含有3~15重量%,更加优选含有5~15重量%。如果不含膨润土,则固定·凝聚不充分,并且滤水性变差。相反地,如果膨润土过多,则浆料的性能变高,滤水性变差。
为了提高圆盘材料对传动轴的热膨胀的追随性而添加云母。由于嵌插圆盘材料的传动轴是金属制,因此,如果曝露于高温下,则该传动轴热膨胀而沿着轴方向伸长。此时,由于圆盘材料与金属相比热膨胀系数低,因此,不能追随传动轴的伸长,从而圆盘材料彼此剥离。另一方面,云母形成极薄的层结构,如果被加热则发生结晶变态,此时有在层方向上膨胀的倾向,由于向该层方向膨胀,从而提高圆盘材料对传动轴的热膨胀的追随性。
作为云母,可以使用白云母(Muscovite,K2Al4(Si3Al)2O20(OH)4)、黑云母、金云母(phlogopite,K2Mg6(SiAl)2O20(OH)4)、钠云母(paragonite)、锂云母(Lepidolite)、氟合成云母等,如果考虑上述追随性,则优选白云母。
基材含有20~40重量%的云母,优选含有25~35重量%。在云母小于20重量%的时候,对传动轴的热膨胀的追随性变低;在超过40重量%的时候,难以使其均匀地分散于浆料中,可能圆盘基材的物性的偏差变大。
本发明的基材在不损害本发明的效果的范围内除了包含上述成分以外,还可以包含凝聚辅助剂、有机粘结剂。
作为有机粘结剂,优选有机纤维(纸浆)、淀粉。如果包含有机纤维(纸浆),则可以表现压缩特性,其量例如可以为2~10重量%或者6~10重量%。另外,如果包含淀粉,则可以表现圆盘材料的强度,其量例如可以为1~10重量%或者1~4重量%。
本发明的基材,作为无机成分可以将陶瓷纤维、木节粘土、膨润土、云母合计设为90重量%以上、95重量%以上、98重量%以上、100重量%。
本发明的基材通过在上述范围内包含上述成分,从而即使无机纤维的量少,也可以得到确保了耐热性和强度平衡良好的圆盘辊。
基材可以将含有无机纤维、高岭石以及云母的水性浆料成型为板状并干燥来制造。此时,使用抄纸法有效且优选。即,可以通过调制含有一定量的无机纤维、高岭石以及云母、根据需要的凝聚辅助剂、有机纤维、有机粘结剂等的水性浆料,用抄纸机将该水性浆料成型为板状并干燥,从而得到基材。另外,可以适当设定基材的厚度,通常为2~10mm。
接着,对圆盘辊的制造方法进行说明。通常由基材冲压环状的圆盘材料,将多枚该圆盘材料嵌插至金属制(例如铁制)的传动轴,制成辊状的层叠物,通过配置于两端的凸缘自两端对整体进行加压,在对圆盘材料施加若干压缩的状态下用螺母等固定。根据需要进行烧成。然后,通过以成为规定的辊直径的方式研磨圆盘材料的外周面,从而得到圆盘辊。
在圆盘辊的构造中有用圆盘材料包覆传动轴整体的构造、圆盘材料包覆仅玻璃接触的部分的传动轴的构造、具有单一轴的构造等。
例如,如图1所示,可以使用本发明的圆盘辊10,夹着玻璃熔融物100进行运送,使玻璃熔融物100冷却、固化来制造玻璃。
实施例
实施例1
[粗陶瓷纤维的脱粒]
将含有40~60重量%的氧化铝、60~40重量%的二氧化硅的粗陶瓷纤维(NICHIAS Corporation制造的“FINE FLEX散纤维”)脱粒,得到45μm以上的渣球为2重量%以下的陶瓷纤维。
渣球的含有率按以下的步骤进行测定。
(i)以渣球不从样品脱落的方式从任意处剪下100g以上的样品。
(ii)在105~110℃下将剪下的样品干燥处理1小时之后,进行称量,作为W0。
(iii)将样品放入圆筒中,在21MPa下加压粉碎,在圆筒内使用刮铲揉开样品之后,再次进行加压粉碎。
(iv)将粉碎后的样品转移至JIS-Z-8801的预备尺寸45μm的筛子中,通过流水冲洗纤维以及细的渣球。
(v)将残留于筛子中的渣球与筛子一起用干燥器干燥1小时。
(vi)将从干燥器中取出的筛子冷却至室温之后,用手敲打筛子的侧面10秒左右除去附着于筛子里面的细粒。
(vii)将残留于筛子面上的渣球转移至适当的容器中。此时,以使渣球不残留于筛子中的方式用刷子充分掸落,称量分离的渣球,作为W1。
(viii)通过下式求得渣球的含有率,四舍五入至小数点后一位。
渣球含有率%=W1/W0×100
[圆盘辊用基材的制造]
调制含有上述脱粒后的陶瓷纤维30重量%、白云母32重量%、木节粘土20重量%、膨润土10重量%、纸浆6重量%以及淀粉2重量%的水性浆料,通过抄纸法抄纸干燥后的尺寸为200mm×200mm×6mm的圆盘辊用基材(硬纸板)。
对于得到的含有陶瓷纤维的圆盘辊用基材,测定密度之后,进行下述(1)~(7)的评价。将结果表示于表1中。
(1)原板的弯曲试验(弯曲强度和弯曲模量)
将含有陶瓷纤维的圆盘辊用基材在维持于900℃的加热炉中保持3小时之后,自然冷却至室温。从冷却后的基材中剪出宽度为30mm、长度为150mm、厚度为6mm的样品片,使用岛津制作所制造的“AutographAG-100kND”,根据JIS K7171评价弯曲强度和弯曲模量。
(2)填充时的弯曲试验(弯曲强度和弯曲模量)
从含有陶瓷纤维的圆盘辊用基材中剪出宽度为30mm、长度为150mm的圆盘材料,用不锈钢板夹住该圆盘材料,以厚度成为10mm、密度成为1.25g/cm3的方式压缩,在经过压缩的状态下在维持于900℃的加热炉中保持10小时之后,自然冷却至室温。冷却之后,将放开压缩力的样品作为测定样品,使用岛津制作所制造的“AutographAG-100kND”,根据JIS K7171评价弯曲强度和弯曲模量。
(3)热传导率
从含有陶瓷纤维的圆盘辊用基材中剪出宽度为50mm、长度为100mm的圆盘材料,用SUS板夹住该圆盘材料,以厚度成为10mm、密度成为1.25g/cm3的方式压缩,在压缩后的状态下在维持于900℃的加热炉中保持10小时之后,自然冷却至室温。冷却之后,将放开压缩力的样品作为测定样品,根据JIS R2618的非稳态热线法使用快速热导仪QTM-500(京都电子工业株式会社制造)对样品的表面测定室温下的电传导率。
(4)热膨胀系数
从含有陶瓷纤维的圆盘辊用基材中冲出外径为60mm、内径为20mm的圆盘材料,在不锈钢制的传动轴上以长度成为100mm、密度成为1.25g/cm3的方式成辊,在维持于900℃的加热炉中保持10小时之后,自然冷却至室温。将冷却后的样品切成5×5×20mm,作为测定样品。使用理学电机工业株式会社制造的热机械分析装置“TMA8310”,在空气中以5℃/min的速度从室温升温至900℃,测定热膨胀系数。
(5)压缩加热复原率
从含有陶瓷纤维的圆盘辊用基材中切出宽度为30mm、长度为50mm的圆盘材料,用不锈钢板夹住,以厚度成为20mm、密度成为1.35g/cm3的方式压缩,将固定后的物质作为样品。
将得到的样品在600℃下加热5小时之后,冷却至室温25℃,释放对圆盘材料施加的压缩力,将此时复原后的长度用原长度除,求得复原率。另外,在900℃下将得到的圆盘辊加热10小时,与上述同样地测定复原率。
(6)磨损试验
从含有陶瓷纤维的圆盘辊用基材中冲出外径为80mm、内径为30mm的圆盘材料,在直径为30mm的不锈钢制的传动轴上以长度成为100mm、填充密度成为1.25g/cm3的方式成辊,制作圆盘辊。
在使该圆盘辊的辊面接触以2mm的间隔进行过5条宽度为2mm的开槽的直径为30mm的不锈钢制的轴的状态下,在900℃下旋转5小时之后,冷却至室温25℃,测定在圆盘辊的辊表面上出现的槽的深度。
(7)负荷变形量
从含有陶瓷纤维的圆盘辊用基材中冲出外径为60mm、内径为20mm的圆盘材料,在直径为20mm的不锈钢制的传动轴上以长度成为100mm、填充密度成为1.25g/cm3的方式成辊,制作圆盘辊。
对于该圆盘辊,使用架台支撑传动轴的两端,在由圆盘材料构成的辊面上通过压缩元件以1mm/分钟施加10kgf/cm的负荷,测定此时的负荷变形量(室温)。
另外,将上述圆盘辊在900℃的加热炉中保持10小时,从加热炉中取出之后,对于冷却至室温的圆盘辊也用与上述相同的方法测定负荷变形量(900℃下10小时)。

由表1可知,实施例的圆盘辊不使用高价的纤维,并且具有耐热性、强度、耐磨损性、柔软性。另外,由于渣球少,因此,弄伤玻璃面也少。
实施例2~4、比较例1~2
为了研究膨润土的影响,除了表2所示的组成以外,与实施例1同样地制造圆盘辊用基材和圆盘辊来进行评价。将结果表示于表2中。对于膨润土量30%,由于难以制作原板,因此,没有测定辊物性。
(1)滤水性
通过TAPPI式手工抄纸机以滤水时间进行评价。
○:小于100秒;△:100~200秒;×:200秒以上
(2)薄片外观
○:良好;△:有斑点;×:有龟裂
(3)加热收缩率
将圆盘辊用基材切成宽度为30mm、长度为150mm,在900℃下加热3小时之后,测定其线方向和厚度方向的长度,基于下述式子评价加热收缩率。

产业上利用的可能性
本发明的圆盘辊可以用于平板玻璃、特别是液晶用玻璃或等离子显示器用玻璃的制造。
上述对本发明的几个实施方式和/或实施例进行了详细地说明,但是本领域的技术人员容易在实质上不脱离本发明的新的指教和效果的情况下,在这些例示的实施方式和/或实施例中添加大量变化。因此,这些大量变化包含于本发明的范围内。

Claims (5)
1.一种圆盘辊用基材,其中,
所述圆盘辊用基材包含:
20~38重量%的硅酸铝纤维,其中,所述硅酸铝纤维中45μm以上的渣球为5重量%以下,并且所述硅酸铝纤维含有40重量%以上且60重量%以下的氧化铝和40重量%以上且60重量%以下的二氧化硅;
10~30重量%的木节粘土;
2~20重量%的膨润土;和
20~40重量%的云母。
2.如权利要求1所述的圆盘辊用基材,其中,
进一步包含纸浆和淀粉。
3.一种圆盘辊用基材的制造方法,其中,
将含有40重量%以上且60重量%以下的氧化铝和40重量%以上且60重量%以下的二氧化硅的粗纤维脱粒,制造45μm以上的渣球为5重量%以下的硅酸铝纤维,
将水、所述硅酸铝纤维、木节粘土、膨润土和云母混合,制造水性浆料,
通过将水性浆料流入模具中,滤水,从而制造薄片。
4.一种圆盘辊,其中,
所述圆盘辊包含权利要求1或2所述的基材。
5.一种玻璃的制造方法,其中,
使用权利要求4所述的圆盘辊来运送玻璃熔融物,并冷却玻璃熔融物。
