Abstract

本发明公开了一种液晶添加剂及其液晶组合物与液晶面板。本发明的液晶添加剂具有较高的澄清点,因而将所述液晶添加剂加入液晶面板的液晶组合物中,可以省略形成配向膜过程,从而降低液晶面板制造的成本和时间;同时,还可以避免因液晶分子和液晶活性单体在配向膜上的不同作用力而造成的显示不均匀(MURA)现象,提高了液晶面板的均匀性。

液晶添加剂及其液晶组合物与液晶面板
技术领域
本发明涉及一种液晶添加剂及液晶面板,特别是涉及一种加入了苯环或环己基的液晶添加剂及具有此液晶添加剂的液晶组合物及液晶面板。
背景技术
液晶显示器(Liquid Crystal Display, LCD)是利用液晶材料的特性来显示图像的一种平板显示装置,其相较于其他显示装置而言具有轻薄、低驱动电压及低功耗等优点,已经成为整个消费市场上的主流产品。
液晶面板是液晶显示器最主要的组成配件,其包括真空贴合的薄膜晶体管(TFT)阵列基板、彩色滤光片(CF)基板、设置在两者之间的液晶层及配向膜。所述配向膜设置在TFT阵列基板和/或CF基板上,用于控制液晶层的液晶分子的预定的初始状态排列,从而影响液晶面板的显示特性。
现有技术中,液晶面板的制程主要分为三段:前段阵列制程(Array制程)、中段成盒制程(Cell 制程)以及后段模组组装(ModuleAssembly)。Array制程用于提供TFT基板及CF基板,而Cell制程则是将所述TFT基板和CF基板真空贴合,并在两者之间形成液晶层及配向膜。模组组装则是将Cell制程后的液晶盒(Liquid crystal cell)与其他如背光板、电路、外框等多种零组件组装的生产工艺。
Cell制程的大致流程为:在TFT基板和CF基板上形成一配向膜,然后以滴下式注入(One Drop Filling, ODF)技术将液晶组合物滴在基板上,最后真空贴合两基板并进行UV固化。形成配向膜的一种方法是,在制作TFT阵列基板及CF基板的同时,在TFT阵列基板和CF基板的内表面涂覆配向液,以形成配向膜。在此方法中,涂覆配向液时,极容易产生静电及涂覆刷携带的杂质,从而对液晶面板造成损坏。同时,形成配向膜还需要专门的设备及制程时间,且配向液的成本较高,这就使得整个液晶面板的制造成本居高不下。此外,液晶组合物中的液晶分子和液晶活性单体在配向膜上具有不同的作用力,这就造成了显示不均匀现象(MURA现象)。
因此,有必要提供一种新的液晶添加剂,以解决现有技术所存在的问题。
发明内容
本发明的第一个目的是提供一种液晶添加剂,具有较高的澄清点,从而省略形成配向膜过程,以解决MURA现象,并降低液晶面板制造成本的目的。
为实现上述目的,本发明公开以下技术方案:一种液晶添加剂,包含于液晶组合物中,所述液晶添加剂以下述分子通式Ⅰ或通式Ⅱ表示:

其中,
所述A基团含有至少一个苯环或环己基;
所述R1、R2、R3、R5、R6和R7是相同或不同的基团,分别选自具有1~8个碳原子的烷基、具有2~8个碳原子的烯基或具有1~7个碳原子的烷氧基;
所述X1和X2是相同或不同的基团,分别选自F或者Cl。
在本发明一实施例中,所述A基团以下述分子通式ⅰ~ⅳ中任一表示:

其中,
所述A1和A2基团是相同或不同的基团,选自苯环或环己基;
所述R4、R5、R6和R7是相同或不同的基团,分别选自具有1~8个碳原子的烷基、具有2~8个碳原子的烯基或具有1~7个碳原子的烷氧基。
本发明还提供一种液晶组合物,用于制作液晶面板,所述液晶组合物包含:
至少一种如上所述的液晶添加剂;
至少一种液晶分子;以及
至少一种液晶活性单体。
在本发明一实施例中,所述液晶组成物为滴下式注入技术的液晶组成物。
本发明还提供一种液晶面板,包括一第一基板和一第二基板,在所述第一基板和第二基板之间扩散分布有一种液晶组合物,所述液晶组合物包含至少一种液晶分子、至少一种液晶活性单体和至少一种如上所述的液晶添加剂。
在本发明一实施例中,所述第一基板为彩色滤光片基板,所述第二基板为薄膜晶体管阵列基板。
在本发明一实施例中,所述液晶组成物为滴下式注入技术的液晶组成物。
需要说明的是:
(1)本发明中所述的液晶分子和液晶活性单体是选用本领域已知的液晶分子和液晶活性单体。
(2)所述的具有1~8个碳原子的烷基是指具有1~8个碳原子的直链或支链的烷基;例如:甲基、乙基、丙基、异丙基、丁基、异丁基、叔丁基、仲丁基、戊基、异戊基、新戊基、己基等。同样,所述的具有2~8个碳原子的烯基和具有1~7个碳原子的烷氧基是指具有2~8个碳原子的直链或支链的烯基和具有1~7个碳原子的直链或支链的烷氧基。
本发明的积极效果是:
(1)省略了形成配向膜过程,从而降低了液晶面板制造的成本和时间;
(2)避免了因液晶分子和液晶活性单体在配向膜上的不同作用力而造成的MURA现象,提高了液晶面板的均匀性。

根据本发明的一较佳实施例,本发明提供一种液晶添加剂,包含于液晶组合物中,所述液晶添加剂以下述分子通式ⅴ~ⅸ表示:

所述A1和A2基团是相同或不同的基团,选自苯环或环己基;
所述X1和X2是相同或不同的基团,分别选自F 或者 Cl;
所述R1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6和R7是相同或不同的基团,分别选自具有1~8个碳原子的烷基、具有2~8个碳原子的烯基或具有1~7个碳原子的烷氧基。
根据本发明的一较佳实施例,本发明还提供一种液晶组合物,包含:至少一种如上所述液晶添加剂;至少一种液晶分子;以及至少一种液晶活性单体。所述的液晶分子是本领域已知的液晶分子,在此不再赘述。所述的液晶活性单体是本领域已知的液晶活性单体,例如以下述通式表示的液晶活性单体:
,其中,X3为H或F。
如图1所示的,根据本发明的一较佳实施例,本发明还提供一种液晶面板,包括一第一基板11和一第二基板12,所述第一基板11为彩色滤光片基板,所述第二基板为薄膜晶体管阵列基板12。在所述第一基板11和第二基板12之间扩散分布有一种液晶组合物,所述液晶组合物包含至少一种液晶分子21、至少一种液晶活性单体22和至少一种如上所述的液晶添加剂23。所述液晶面板的制程与目前液晶面板制程的差异在于,省略了形成配向膜的步骤。
本发明提供的液晶添加剂,具有较高的澄清点,可以省略形成配向膜过程,从而降低了液晶面板制造的成本和时间;同时,可以避免因液晶分子和液晶活性单体在配向膜上的不同作用力而造成的显示不均匀(MURA)现象,提高了液晶面板的均匀性。
本发明已由上述相关实施例加以描述,然而上述实施例仅为实施本发明的范例。必需指出的是,已公开的实施例并未限制本发明的范围。相反地,包含于权利要求书的精神及范围的修改及均等设置均包括于本发明的范围内。

Claims (7)

1.一种液晶添加剂,包含于液晶组合物中,其特征在于,所述液晶添加剂以下述分子通式Ⅰ或通式Ⅱ表示:

所述A基团含有至少一个苯环或环己基;

所述X1和X2是相同或不同的基团,分别选自F或者Cl。

3.一种液晶组合物,用于制作液晶面板,其特征在于,所述液晶组合物包含:
至少一种如权利要求1或2中所述的液晶添加剂;
至少一种液晶分子;以及
至少一种液晶活性单体。
4.如权利要求3所述的液晶组合物,其特征在于,所述液晶组成物为滴下式注入技术的液晶组成物。
5.一种液晶面板,包括一第一基板和一第二基板,其特征在于,在所述第一基板和第二基板之间扩散分布有一种液晶组合物,所述液晶组合物包含至少一种液晶分子、至少一种液晶活性单体和至少一种如权利要求1或2中所述的液晶添加剂。
6.如权利要求5所述的液晶面板,其特征在于,所述第一基板为彩色滤光片基板,所述第二基板为薄膜晶体管阵列基板。
7.如权利要求5所述的液晶面板,其特征在于,所述液晶组成物为滴下式注入技术的液晶组成物。
