Abstract
The invention relates to a holder with an adjusting device for carding strips on carding machines and machines for forming webs, which enables adjustment along a working width.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a device for fixing and adjusting a carding frame (Kardierträger) of a machine for forming a fibrous web.
Background
The fixed flats have been constructed by placing carding elements such as pins or full metal sawtooth strips (Sägezahndraht) directly in holders (Halter) placed on the frame, skirt (Seitenschilder) or scallops (Bögen) of the carding machine (Karde), or by removably placing carding elements in holders (Halterung) for replacement, which in turn are placed on holders placed directly on the frame or skirt.
Fig. 2 of DE 3336602 a1, fig. 2 and 3 of DE 202006020884U 1, and fig. 2 of EP 0431482 a1 describe the prior art. These devices are composed of only two main parts. The carding nip can only be adjusted at both ends.
Disclosure of Invention
The aim of the invention is to provide a device which is easy to manufacture and which allows the carding segment to be used for large working widths and the carding gap to be adjusted along the working width. According to the invention, this is achieved in particular by a structure having three basic components:
1. a replaceable carding ribbon;
2. a middle support; and
3. a main support.
The carding belts are fixed in an intermediate support frame which is adjustably fixed to a main support frame which is fixed to the carding machine frame, the fan-shaped edge or the apron. More than two options are available along the working width for adjusting the intermediate stent relative to the primary stent.
The intermediate stent has a bending strength significantly less than the primary stent. The main stent is preferably made of steel, while the intermediate stent is preferably made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. But composite materials may also be used for both stents.
In the simplest case, an adjusting screw/spring system can be used to achieve the adjusting function. It is also possible to fix a plurality of carding strips on the intermediate support.
If two rows of adjusting parts connect the main support with the middle support, not only the carding clearance can be adjusted, but also the inclined position of the middle support and the carding part relative to the circumferential tangent of the carding drum can be adjusted. In other words, the two rows of adjustable fastening or adjusting elements are arranged one behind the other and tangentially transversely to the circumference of the carding drum. If one row of adjustment elements is adjusted to a greater extent than the second row arranged adjacent to it, the intermediate carrier will tilt or twist about its longitudinal axis, which in turn causes the comb element to tilt.
In any case, the adjusting member may be used to adjust the carding member, thereby adjusting the thickness of the web produced by the carding member, so that both webs with constant thickness and webs with variable thickness can be produced.

Detailed Description
In fig. 1 and 2, a carding machine frame 1 is provided with a roller or carding drum 2. The fibres are carded between it and the carding unit 8. These comb members are fixed to the intermediate support 7. Which is adjustably fixed relative to the primary support 4. The main frame is fixed to the fan-shaped edge or apron 3 of the carding machine 1 by means of fixing elements 5.
In order to adjust the carding nip between the roller or drum 2 and the carding belt 8, a nut 10 can be actuated, for example, which engages with the thread of the screw 6. The spring 9 eliminates the use of a lock nut and facilitates adjustment. For fine adjustment, a plurality of adjustment members are used along the working width of the roll 2. Thereby the deflection of the holder can be compensated.
Claims (10)
1. A device for fixing and adjusting carding strips in a machine for forming a fibrous web, wherein at least one carding strip is fixed to at least one intermediate carrier, characterized in that, for adjusting the carding gap, the intermediate carrier has more than two adjusting mechanisms along the working width, by means of which adjusting mechanisms the intermediate carrier can be adjustably fixed to at least one main carrier, which is fixed to the machine frame, to a side guard or to a segment of a sector.
2. The device of claim 1, wherein as the adjustment mechanism, at least three adjustable securing members are provided along the working width of the intermediate frame, said securing members connecting the intermediate frame with the main frame.
3. A device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein there are two rows of adjustment means extending substantially parallel along the working width.
4. A device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the intermediate support is also angularly adjustable about its longitudinal axis.
5. The device of claim 1 or 2, wherein the main material of the intermediate stent is different from that of the main stent.
6. A device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the intermediate support is made of aluminium or a composite material.
7. Device as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the carding nip is adjustable up and down along the working width.
8. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the carding belt is provided with an all-metal sawtooth or pin.
9. The device of claim 1 or 2, wherein the buckling resistance of the intermediate stent is less than the buckling resistance of the primary stent.
10. The apparatus of claim 1 or 2, said web forming machine being a carding machine.
