容易想到的一些修改
虽然说明性实施例公开了使用1D激光扫描模块来检测扫描物体上的可见和/或不可见的条形码符号,但是要理解的是,也可以使用2D或光栅类型的激光扫描模块,来扫描1D条形码符号、2D堆叠式线性条形码符号、和2D矩阵编码符号,并生成用于解码处理的扫描数据信号。

Claims (13)
1.一种用于读取编码符号的激光扫描编码符号读取系统,包括:
外壳,具有光传输窗口;
激光扫描模块,置于所述外壳中,用于使激光束扫描越过激光扫描场,该激光扫描场具有在所述光传输窗口外部限定的近部分和远部分,
其中所述激光扫描模块响应于由系统控制器生成的一个或多个控制信号,并包括
(i)激光驱动模块,用于响应于接收来自所述系统控制器的所述一个或多个控制信号,驱动近场激光源以产生在所述激光扫描场的近部分内聚焦的近场激光束,并用于响应于接收来自所述系统控制器的所述一个或多个控制信号,驱动远场激光源以产生远场激光束,以及
(ii)激光扫描机构,用于使所述近场激光束扫描越过所述激光扫描场和所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号,或使所述远场激光束扫描越过所述激光扫描场和所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号;
自动物体检测器,置于所述外壳中,用于自动检测所述物体何时出现在所述激光扫描场的近部分中,并对其响应以生成物体检测事件;
光收集光学器件,置于所述外壳中,用于收集从所述激光扫描场中的所扫描物体反射/散射的光;
光电检测器,置于所述外壳中,用于检测从所述编码符号收集的光的强度,并生成与在激光扫描操作期间的所述检测的光强度相对应的模拟扫描数据信号;
模拟扫描数据信号处理器,置于所述外壳中,用于处理所述模拟扫描数据信号,并将处理的模拟扫描数据信号转换为数字化数据信号;
编程的解码处理器,置于所述外壳中,用于解码处理所述数字化数据信号,并生成表示由所述近场或远场激光束所扫描的每个编码符号的符号字符数据;以及
输入/输出(I/O)通信接口,置于所述外壳中,用于通过由所述激光扫描编码符号读取系统和主机系统所支持的通信链路,与所述主机系统对接并将符号字符数据发送到所述主机系统;
所述系统控制器,响应于所述物体检测事件的生成,用于控制所述激光扫描条形码读取系统内的操作;以及
其中,当所述系统控制器检测所述物体检测事件的生成时,所述系统控制器生成所述一个或多个控制信号,该一个或多个控制信号引起所述近场激光源生成所述近场激光束,并且在激光扫描操作期间,所述激光扫描机构使所述近场激光束扫描越过所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号,以便生成模拟扫描数据信号,该模拟扫描数据信号被处理并被转换为数字化数据信号,该数字化数据信号然后被解码处理以致力于读取所述物体上的所述编码符号。

4.权利要求1的激光扫描编码符号读取系统,其中,如果所述物体检测事件没有被所述自动物体检测器所生成和被所述系统控制器所检测,则所述系统控制器生成所述一个或多个控制信号,该一个或多个控制信号引起所述远场激光源生成所述远场激光束,并且在激光扫描操作期间,所述激光扫描机构使所述远场激光束扫描越过在所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号,以便生成模拟扫描数据信号,该模拟扫描数据信号被处理并被转换为数字化数据信号,该数字化数据信号然后被解码处理以致力于读取所述物体上的所述编码符号。
5.权利要求1的激光扫描编码符号读取系统,其中,所述物体检测事件通过按压触发开关来人工生成或通过自动物体检测器检测所述激光扫描场内的物体来自动生成。
6.一种双激光扫描条形码符号读取系统,包括:
外壳,具有光传输窗口,以及在所述光传输窗口外部限定的激光扫描场;
激光照明的近场激光源,用于扫描在所述激光扫描场的近部分中的物体;
激光照明的远场激光源,用于扫描在所述激光扫描场的远部分中的物体;
自动物体存在检测子系统,用于自动检测所述激光扫描场的近部分中的所述物体,并对其响应以生成物体检测事件;以及
系统控制器,响应于所述自动物体存在检测子系统,用于当响应于在所述激光扫描场的所述近部分中物体的自动检测而生成所述物体检测事件时,自动选择和激活所述近场激光源;以及
其中,如果所述物体检测事件没有被所述自动物体检测器所生成和被所述系统控制器所检测,则所述系统控制器生成所述一个或多个控制信号,该一个或多个控制信号引起所述远场激光源生成所述远场激光束,并且在激光扫描操作期间,所述激光扫描机构使所述远场激光束扫描越过在所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号,以便生成模拟扫描数据信号,该模拟扫描数据信号被处理并被转换为数字化数据信号,该数字化数据信号然后被解码处理以致力于读取所述物体上的所述编码符号。
7.一种读取编码符号的方法,包括下列步骤:
(a)使激光扫描编码符号读取系统靠近具有一个或多个编码符号的物体,其中所述激光扫描编码符号读取系统包括
(i)外壳,具有光传输窗口;
(ii)激光扫描模块,置于所述外壳中,用于使激光束扫描越过激光扫描场,该激光扫描场具有在所述光传输窗口外部限定的近部分和远部分,其中所述激光扫描模块响应于由系统控制器生成的一个或多个控制信号,并包括
(iii)激光驱动模块,用于响应于接收来自所述系统控制器的所述一个或多个控制信号,驱动近场激光源以产生在所述激光扫描场的近部分内聚焦的近场激光束,或用于响应于接收来自所述系统控制器的所述一个或多个控制信号,驱动远场激光源以产生远场激光束,以及
(iv)激光扫描机构,用于使所述近场激光束扫描越过所述激光扫描场和所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号,或使所述远场激光束扫描越过所述激光扫描场和所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号;
(v)自动物体检测器,置于所述外壳中,用于自动检测所述物体何时出现在所述激光扫描场的近部分中,并对其响应以生成物体检测事件;
(vi)光收集光学器件,用于收集从所述激光扫描场中的所扫描物体反射/散射的光,以及光电检测器,用于检测收集的光的强度,并生成与激光扫描操作期间的检测的光强度相对应的模拟扫描数据信号;
(iii)模拟扫描数据信号处理器,置于所述外壳中,用于处理所述模拟扫描数据信号,并将处理的模拟扫描数据信号转换为数字化数据信号;
(iv)编程的解码处理器,置于所述外壳中,用于解码处理所述数字化数据信号,并生成表示由所述近场激光束和所述远场激光束扫描的每个编码符号的符号字符数据;以及
(v)I/O通信接口,用于将符号字符数据发送到所述主机系统;
(b)检测所述激光扫描场的近部分中的物体并生成物体检测事件;
(c)响应于所述物体检测事件的生成,所述近场可见激光源生成所述近场激光束,所述激光扫描机构使所述近场激光束重复扫描越过所述激光扫描场的近部分中的物体上的任意编码符号,所述光收集光学器件收集从所述激光扫描场中的所述扫描的可见编码符号反射/散射的光,所述光电检测器自动检测收集的光的强度并生成与在扫描操作期间所检测的光强度相对应的模拟扫描数据信号,所述模拟扫描数据信号处理器处理所述模拟扫描数据信号并将处理的模拟扫描数据信号转换为第一数字化数据信号;
(d)所述解码处理器处理所述第一数字化数据信号以致力于读取在步骤(c)期间扫描的编码符号;以及
(e)如果所述解码处理器在步骤(d)期间读取所述编码符号,则所述解码处理器产生表示所述编码符号的符号字符数据,以及所述I/O通信接口将所述符号字符数据发送到主机系统。
8.权利要求7的方法,其中,如果在步骤(b)期间没有检测到物体并且没有生成物体检测事件,则自动生成一个或多个控制信号,该一个或多个控制信号引起所述远场激光源生成所述远场激光束,并且在激光扫描操作期间,所述激光扫描机构使所述远场激光束扫描越过在所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号,以便生成模拟扫描数据信号,该模拟扫描数据信号被处理并被转换为数字化数据信号,该数字化数据信号然后被解码处理以致力于读取所述物体上的所述编码符号。
9.权利要求7的方法,其进一步包括:
(f)如果在如此进行的一次或多次尝试之后,所述解码处理器不能在步骤(d)期间读取编码符号,则所述远场激光源生成所述远场激光束,所述激光扫描机构使所述远场激光束重复扫描越过所述激光扫描场中的物体上的任意编码符号,所述光收集光学器件收集从所述激光扫描场中的所述扫描的编码符号反射/散射的光,所述光电检测器自动检测收集的光的强度并生成与在扫描操作期间所检测的光强度相对应的模拟扫描数据信号,所述模拟扫描数据信号处理器处理所述模拟扫描数据信号并将处理的模拟扫描数据信号转换为第二数字化数据信号;
(g)所述解码处理器处理所述第二数字化数据信号以致力于读取在步骤(f)期间扫描的编码符号;以及
(h)如果所述解码处理器在步骤(g)期间读取编码符号,则所述解码处理器产生表示所述编码符号的符号字符数据,并且所述I/O子系统将所述符号字符数据发送到主机系统。
10.权利要求9的方法,其进一步包括:
(i)如果在如此进行的一次或多次尝试之后,所述解码处理器不能在步骤(g)期间读取编码符号,则所述系统控制器将控制返回到步骤(b)并重新开始物体检测操作。
11.权利要求7的方法,其中步骤(b)包括:所述物体检测事件通过人工按压触发开关来生成,或通过自动物体检测器检测所述激光扫描场内的物体来自动生成。
12.权利要求7的方法,其中,如果在预定数量的扫描和解码处理尝试之后没有读取所述编码符号,则所述系统控制器生成所述一个或多个控制信号,该一个或多个控制信号引起所述远场激光源生成所述远场激光束,并且在激光扫描操作期间,所述激光扫描机构使所述远场激光束扫描越过位于所述激光扫描场中的物体上的编码符号,以便生成模拟扫描数据信号,该模拟扫描数据信号被处理并被转换为数字化数据信号,该数字化数据信号然后被解码处理以致力于读取所述物体上的所述编码符号。
