技术领域
本发明一般涉及多媒体内容再现装置和方法,更具体地,涉及能够仅单独观看用户期望的多媒体内容的装置和方法。
背景技术
随着互联网的发展,用户可以通过通信设备(诸如个人计算机、笔记本计算机、蜂窝电话等)访问互联网以接收各种多媒体内容,诸如语音、图像、数据等。近来,多媒体内容甚至能够由车辆或便携式数字多媒体广播(DigitalMultimedia Broadcasting,DMB)接收器通过卫星/地面DMB进行接收。
发明内容
技术问题
为了通过互联网观看多媒体内容,用户必须等待,直至通过访问存储了内容的服务器使多媒体内容被缓冲。此外,为了观看期望的场景,用户必须通过从开始再现相应内容或者使用快进(Fast Forward,FF)或快退(Rewind,REW)按钮来搜索期望的场景,并必须等待,直至期望的场景被缓冲。
因此,需要能够从多个多媒体内容中容易地提取和观看期望的片段(section)或场景的方法。
技术方案
本发明的一个方面至少解决上述问题和/或缺点,并提供至少如下所述优点。因此,本发明的一个方面提供了能够根据用户期望的内容仅单独再现期望的场景的多媒体再现装置和方法。
本发明的另一个方面提供了能够通过管理与用户期望的内容有关的元数据来根据用户期望的内容仅单独再现期望的场景的多媒体再现装置和方法。
根据本发明的一个方面,一种用于再现通过互联网提供的多媒体内容的方法包括:再现通过用户输入单元所选择的内容;如果请求将所再现的内容的一部分注册为感兴趣的内容,则使用与所再现的内容有关的元数据来生成并存储与所再现的内容的一部分有关的元数据;以及根据用户输入单元的输入,将关于多个感兴趣的内容所生成的元数据重新构建为感兴趣的元数据,并存储该感兴趣的元数据。

有利效果
根据本发明的实施例,由于能够仅单独再现内容中的期望场景,因此每当观看相应内容时,用户不需要为了再现期望内容的期望场景而从开始再现内容,或者不需要等待直至使用FF或REW按钮使期望场景被缓冲。因此,用户能够无间断地快速观看期望内容的期望场景。

现在将参照附图对本发明的实施例进行详细介绍。以下的详细描述包括具体细节以便提供对本发明的全面理解。然而,对本领域技术人员而言将明显的是,本发明可以在没有这些具体细节的情况下实施。
一般来说,网站上提供的各种多媒体内容,诸如移动画面内容,以流服务的形式传送到用户终端,以提供实时服务。因此,如果用户期望在观看多媒体内容的同时重新观看特定图像片段或场景,则用户应下载整个多媒体内容,或者在观看多媒体内容的同时操纵用户终端的拖动条(seek bar)。
为了解决这种不便,本发明的实施例提供了多媒体内容再现方法,在该方法中,注册了与多个多媒体内容之中用户期望重新观看的图像片段或场景(以下称为“感兴趣的片段”)有关的信息,并且如果用户请求再现感兴趣的片段,则能够基于感兴趣的片段的信息接连再现或选择性地再现以前注册的感兴趣的片段(以下称为“感兴趣的内容”)。
为了注册感兴趣的片段,用户终端可以使用能够再现多媒体内容的各种终端,诸如蜂窝电话、个人数字助理(Personal Digital Assistant,PDA)、便携式媒体播放器(Portable Media Player,PMP)、笔记本计算机、掌上电脑等。用户终端包括客户端程序,以注册和存储感兴趣的片段。
客户端程序被配置为根据通过用户终端的再现请求,接连再现多个感兴趣的内容,或选择性地再现至少一个感兴趣的内容。
如果用户使用多个用户终端,则通过用户终端注册的感兴趣的片段的信息可以上载到已加入为成员的指定的网站,并且通过网站认证的其他用户可以通过访问该网站来浏览感兴趣的片段。
在本发明的实施例中,感兴趣的片段的信息可以包括与感兴趣的内容的位置、存储区、使用权限等有关的信息,从而感兴趣的内容能够通过以流的形式从网站下载来再现,而不是直接存储在用户终端中。感兴趣的片段的信息可以由元数据组成。
可以配置客户端程序,以便在将多个多媒体内容直接存储在用户终端中并且注册了与多个已存储的多媒体内容有关的多个感兴趣的片段的信息之后,再现感兴趣的内容。
在本发明的实施例中,如果在预定的网站上管理感兴趣的片段的信息,则能够使用未安装客户端程序的一般终端来再现感兴趣的内容。在这种情况下,管理感兴趣的片段的信息的网站从多媒体内容中仅提取感兴趣的内容,并且将感兴趣的内容以流服务的形式提供给用户终端。
假设在本发明的实施例中感兴趣的片段的信息由元数据组成。如果感兴趣的片段的信息能够以流的形式通过网站下载,则能够使用各种已知的数据格式。
元数据是指这样的数据:该数据根据预定的规则被分配给内容以便有效地搜索和使用大量信息之中期望的信息。至少一个属性,诸如内容的位置和细节、与内容制造者有关的信息、使用权限的权限条件、使用条件、和使用历史,可以记录在元数据中。使用元数据,用户能够通过确认期望的感兴趣的内容并直接访问提供感兴趣的内容的服务器来减少搜索期望内容所花费的时间。

用户终端110可以通过基于互联网协议(IP)经互联网100访问内容服务器120来再现期望的内容。
内容服务器120为用户终端110提供内容和用户界面,以便用户能够通过元数据来管理内容的期望部分。
元数据服务器130为内容服务器120提供与向用户供应(offer)的内容有关的元数据。

图5是示出根据本发明的实施例的、在用户终端中注册感兴趣的内容的过程的流程图。
参照图5,在步骤510中,用户终端再现通过用户输入单元选择的内容。如果在步骤520中通过用户输入单元接收到将当前再现的内容的一部分注册为感兴趣的内容的请求,则在步骤530中,元数据生成器使用与从内容服务器接收到的当前再现的内容有关的元数据,生成与当前再现的内容的一部分有关的元数据,并且将所生成的元数据存储在元数据存储单元中。
在步骤540中,确定当前再现的内容之中是否存在将被添加为感兴趣的内容的内容。如果存在将被添加的内容,则重复步骤520和530。如果不存在将被添加的内容,则在步骤550中,根据用户选择,将所生成的元数据存储为与感兴趣的内容有关的感兴趣的元数据,或者通过将所生成的元数据添加到已经生成且已存储的感兴趣的元数据中来更新感兴趣的元数据。
同时,在步骤530中所生成的感兴趣的元数据可以存储在网站的博客等中,而不是用户终端的元数据存储单元中,以便与网站的用户共享感兴趣的元数据。在这种情况下,可以生成其中存储有与每个内容的感兴趣的片段有关的信息的感兴趣的元数据,或者可以生成并存储每个感兴趣的片段的统一资源标识符(URI)。
当生成感兴趣的元数据时,相应内容的URI以及与该内容之内的感兴趣的片段有关的信息被包括在感兴趣的元数据中。内容的URI表示内容的位置。在感兴趣的元数据中,与感兴趣的片段和选择的片段的起点有关的信息可以存储为字节偏移、时间、或帧类型。
当生成每个感兴趣的片段的URI时,该URI是根据万维网联盟(WorldWide Web Consortium,W3C)媒体片段工作组(media fragment working group)的标准生成的。
当感兴趣的元数据存储在博客中时,用户可以通过访问相应博客来执行用户认证(user authentication)、确认博客中所存储的感兴趣的内容列表、并选择期望的感兴趣的内容以在网络(web)上再现感兴趣的内容。
在用户认证之后,用户可以编辑存储在博客中的感兴趣的元数据,以便以期望的形式重新构建感兴趣的元数据,并且可以将重新构建的元数据存储为感兴趣的内容列表。如果用户通过用户认证访问相应博客,则用户可以确认存储的感兴趣的内容列表,并且通过从感兴趣的内容列表中选择感兴趣的内容来在网络上再现感兴趣的内容。
虽然已经出于示例性目的公开了本发明的实施例,但是可以进行各种改变、添加和替换而不会偏离权利要求所公开的本发明的范围和精神。因此,本发明的范围不应该被限制为对实施例的描述,而是由权利要求及其等效物限定的。

Claims (11)

1.一种用于再现通过互联网提供的多媒体内容的方法,包括:
再现通过用户输入单元选择的内容;
如果请求将所再现的内容的一部分注册为感兴趣的内容,则使用与所再现的内容有关的元数据,生成并存储与所再现的内容的第一部分有关的元数据;以及
根据所述用户输入单元的输入,将关于多个感兴趣的内容所生成的元数据重新构建为感兴趣的元数据,并且存储该感兴趣的元数据。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,还包括:
接收将所再现的内容的另一部分添加为感兴趣的内容的请求;以及
使用与所再现的内容有关的元数据,生成并存储与所再现的内容的附加请求部分有关的元数据。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,存储感兴趣的元数据根据用户请求通过将所生成的元数据添加到以前已存储的感兴趣的元数据,来更新感兴趣的元数据。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,还包括:
根据用户请求顺序地再现被注册为感兴趣的内容的内容,其中,在顺序地再现该内容的同时,缓冲将随后再现的内容。
5.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,元数据或感兴趣的元数据包括与对应于元数据或感兴趣的元数据的内容的存储位置、存储区、类型和使用权限有关的信息。
6.一种用于再现通过互联网提供的多媒体内容的装置,包括:
用户输入单元,用于接收与多媒体内容有关的再现信息以及与当前再现的内容之中期望被作为感兴趣的内容管理的部分有关的信息;
元数据生成器,用于生成与通过所述用户输入单元选择的感兴趣的内容有关的信息作为元数据,并且将关于多个感兴趣的内容生成的元数据重新构建为感兴趣的元数据;
元数据存储单元,用于存储从所述元数据生成器生成的元数据以及感兴趣的元数据;
内容再现单元,用于当通过所述用户输入单元接收到再现感兴趣的内容的请求时,确认所述元数据存储单元中的感兴趣的元数据,并且根据感兴趣的元数据控制再现感兴趣的内容;以及
显示单元,用于显示通过所述内容再现单元的控制再现的感兴趣的内容,以使用户能够观看感兴趣的内容。
7.如权利要求6所述的装置,其中,所述用户输入单元接收将所再现的内容的另一部分添加为感兴趣的内容的请求,以及所述元数据生成器使用与所再现的内容有关的元数据生成与所再现的内容的附加请求部分有关的元数据,并将所生成的元数据存储到所述元数据存储单元中。
8.如权利要求6所述的装置,其中,所述元数据生成器根据用户请求,通过将所生成的元数据添加到以前已存储的感兴趣的元数据中,来更新感兴趣的元数据。
9.如权利要求6所述的装置,其中,所述元数据生成器根据通过所述用户输入单元输入的信息,通过重新构建与内容服务器所提供的内容有关的元数据,来生成并重新构建与所再现的内容的部分有关的元数据。
10.如权利要求6所述的装置,其中,当顺序地再现注册为感兴趣的内容的内容时,所述内容再现单元在再现当前内容的同时缓冲将随后再现的内容。
11.如权利要求6所述的装置,其中,元数据或感兴趣的元数据包括与对应于元数据或感兴趣的元数据的内容的存储位置、存储区、类型和使用权限有关的信息。
