Abstract

技术领域
示范性实施方式主要涉及具有可移动和替换组件的电子显示器,而不用将显示器从其安装位置处移动。
背景技术
电子显示不仅对室内娱乐目的很有用,而且现在正用于室内和室外广告/信息目的。举例,液晶显示(LCDs),等离子显示以及许多其它平板显示现在正被用于向用户显示信息和广告材料,位置包括他们的室外或机场、体育馆、体育场、餐厅/酒吧、加油站、公告板等,而且甚至在汽车顶部或卡车边上的移动显示。

发明内容
示范性实施方式提供电子显示器,包括可以被移动、维修和/或替换而无需将显示器从其安装位置移动的电子组件。该可移动组件可以从显示器外壳的侧面被移动,而且可以使用盲插连接器(blind mate connector)电连接到显示器。可以利用N+1电源,以增加该显示器的可靠性(其中N是运行该显示器所需要的电源数目)。
通过最小化训练的人员且显示保持在其安装位置处,实施方式允许快速维修显示器。直接用户(end user)甚至可以自身来维修该显示器。另外,基于相同的显示平台可以出售多个不同的显示配置。因此,直接用户可以选择他们期望的精确部件,或者甚至可以基于可选的或改进技术更新原始部件。由于显示器制造商只需要产生一些随后适用于直接用户精确需求的基本模型(basemodel),这可以降低制造费用。

具体实施方式
图1A示出安装在垂直表面11上的示范性显示器10。对于传统的显示器,当电子组件失效时,显示器将不得不从其安装位置处被移动,拆开且接着被维修。维修传统显示器可能需要提供特定装备和训练,以及通常近似于“干净空间”的环境。实施方式占据几个步骤来降低关于维修显示器的时间和复杂度,而且尤其允许在被维修时将它们保持在安装位置。
图1B示出电子显示器10的底面12。接入板13可以用于覆盖该可移动电子组件(参见图1C)。接入板13可以用锁结构14保持稳固,该锁结构14可以阻止未授权人员获取对可移动电子组件的访问。
图1C示出图1A和图1B中的电子显示器,其中该电子组件15正被移动。该可移动组件15可以是任意的多种公知偶尔失效的电子组件。这些组件可以包括但是不局限于下列中的任意一个:电源、模拟/数字(A/D)转换器或定时控制单元(T-cons)。
图2示出示范性实施方式的布线图。在这个实施方式中,该T-con已经与A/D转换器一起集成到单个显示控制器组件20中。这个集成允许典型用于传统显示中的低压差分信号(LVDS)缆(而且还公知在延伸操作后将失效)的完全移动。这个实施方式允许3个分离的可移动电源21(或电源模块)。在优选实施方式中,这些可移动电源21能够在显示器处于运行中被热拔出该系统。对于使用优选实施方式的大显示,可移动电源21可以提供500瓦特(Watts)的24VDC。
使用N+1技术,运行示出的显示器可能只需要两个电源。因此,在目常操作中,只有3个电源21中的两个会被用到。然而,当电源中的一个失效时,剩下的两个可以充分运行该显示器,直到失效的电源被替换。底板22和显示控制器组件20之间的联系,可以指示外部LED发光,以向用户提供信息告知该显示器需要被维修,而且更具体地,电源中的一个需要被替换。对于提供关键功能以及停机时间很少或没有,需要接近恒定操作的显示,N+1技术非常有用。可以意识到,N+1技术仅是可选的,对于许多实施方法是并不是必须的。可移动电子组件20和21中的每一个,可以利用盲插(blind-mate)连接器与显示底板22连接。

还可以意识到,对于许多实施方式,Tcon与传统显示器的A/D转换器和LVDS缆的结合并不是必须的。一些实施方式可以继续使用这些项目,作为分离的以及固定或可移动的组件。图2示出的示范性实施方式被选出,仅用于作为创建持久显示的最佳示范方式。可移动组件与固定组件的其它联合被特定构思,并且在这些实施方式的范围之内。

如在此显示,可移动电子组件可以被轻易地移动,检修,和/或替换,而不必须将显示器从其安装位置处移动。这在许多方面使得用户受益,包括但是不局限于:维修显示器的停机时间、维修费用、将显示器从其安装位置处移动且传输到适于维修环境的毁坏风险,以及由于一个小内部元件而需要被完全移动和替换的昂贵显示器的投资风险。而且,它允许制造商提供多种不同类型显示器,而只需要制造单个的基本模型(base model)。制造商可以提供许多不同的显示控制器组件,能够满足许多用户需求。当兴趣转变或技术更新时,用户还可以更新他们的显示控制器组件。用户可以轻易地移动旧组件且安装新组件,而无须特定装备或大量训练。每个可移动组件可以用通用结构固定工具保持在位置处,从而可以用通用可得的工具及制造商的最少指导来执行移动/安装。在不需要任意用于开启和移动组件的工具的一些实施方式中,可以使用关闭标签(closing tab)。其它实施方式可以使用更传统的螺丝或机械紧固件。

Claims (14)
1.一种电子显示器,包括:
图像产生电子组件;
与该图像产生电子组件电通讯的底板;
可移动地连接到该底板且与该底板电通讯的电气组件;
容纳该图像产生组件、底板和电气组件的外壳;以及
在该外壳内的罩板,尺寸允许该电气组件从该外壳被移动。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电子显示器,进一步包括:
与该底板电通讯的数据接口,适于与个人电脑通讯。
3.根据权利要求1或2中任一项所述的电子显示器,其中:
该图像产生电子组件是OLED显示。

11.一种电子显示组件,包括:
外壳,具有朝向期望观察者的前表面、与该前表面相对的后表面、顶、底,左和右表面;
布置在该外壳内的电子图像组件;
在该外壳内且与该电子图像组件电通讯的底板,该底板包含盲插连接器;
连接到该盲插连接器的电源;以及
在该外壳的顶、底,左或右表面之内的罩板,而且尺寸允许该电源模块与该盲插连接器断开连接且从该外壳被移动。
12.根据权利要求11所述的电子显示组件,其中:
