本发明涉及一种背光单元和显示装置。
背景技术
通常,液晶显示器(LCD)比阴极射线管(CRT)具有更高的可视性,并且比相同屏幕尺寸的CRT具有更小的平均功耗和发热。为此,LCD已广泛用于移动电话、计算机监视器和电视、以及等离子显示装置或者场发射显示装置中。
LCD的驱动原理是以液晶的光学各向异性和偏振为基础的。细长的液晶在分子排列方面具有方向性。在此,可以通过向液晶施加电场来控制液晶的分子排列方向。
因此,控制液晶的分子排列方向可以改变液晶的分子排列,从而当利用光学各向异性在液晶的分子排列方向上折射光时,能够显示图像信息。
然而,LCD是非自发光装置且需要单独的光源。该光源的一个示例是背光单元。具体地,从布置在液晶面板后方的背光单元发射的光被引入到液晶面板中,从而基于液晶的排列来控制光的透射,从而能够显示图像。

底座110的侧壁结构的侧壁242、244、246以及248可以在其上表面处设置有一个或多个防接触突起152、154、156以及158。例如,底座110的侧壁结构的两个相反侧壁242和246可以在其上表面232和234处设置有相互间隔开的防接触突起152、154、156以及158。在此,防接触突起152、154、156以及158可以与底座110一体地布置。
尽管图2示出了在彼此面对的侧壁242和246中的每一个侧壁的上表面处布置的两个防接触突起152和154或者156和158,但这些防接触突起可以布置在彼此面对的其它侧壁244和248的上表面处,并且这些防接触突起的数目可不限于两个。另外,防接触突起152、154、156以及158可以为点的形式。这种形状是指:布置在同一直线上的防接触突起彼此是分离的。
底座110的侧壁可以具有各种形状。图3是示出图2所示的底座110的侧壁242的放大图。
参考图2和图3,底座110的侧壁可以具有倒“U”形形式,但其不限于此。例如,尽管底座110的侧壁242、244以及246可以具有倒“U”形形式,但它们不限于此。
发光器件224用于产生光并将该光照射到导光板130的光入射表面。发光器件224可以包括电路板(未示出)和发光二极管(LED)封装222。在这种情况下,该电路板可以是附接到托架222的印刷电路板。托架222附接到底座110的侧壁结构并用于散发来自发光器件224的热量。
尽管图2通过示例示出了两边缘型背光单元,其中与发光器件224固定的托架222被固定到彼此面对的一对侧壁244和248中的每一个,但本发明不限于此。
发光器件224以彼此之间具有间隔的方式安装在所述电路板上并且用于将光照射到导光板130的光入射表面。在这种情况下,安装在该电路板上的发光器件224可以构成“发光二极管(LED)封装模块”。
导光板130布置在底座110的前表面上并用于在给定方向上引导从发光器件224照射的光。具体地,导光板130将从发光器件224发射的光转换为平面光并将转换后的光透射到液晶面板(未示出)。导光板130可以是由透明的丙烯酸树脂制成,并且可以在其上表面或下表面处设置有多个点状或V形凹槽(未示出),以用于均匀的光反射。
反射片120布置在底座110和导光板130之间,并用于将离开导光板130的后表面的光重新引入导光板130中。
光学片140布置在导光板130的前表面上,以便提高经过该光学片140的光的性能。参考图7,光学片140可以包括:漫射片142,该漫射片142用于漫射从导光板130引导来的光;和棱镜片144,该棱镜片144竖直地发射从漫射片142引导来的光。可以适当地组合两个或更多个漫射片和棱镜片。
光学片140还可包括保护片146,该保护片146布置在漫射片142或棱镜片144上。保护片146用于保护易受到灰尘或划痕影响的漫射片142和棱镜片144,并防止漫射片142和棱镜片144在该背光单元的运输期间移动。
反射片120与底座110的前表面紧密接触,导光板130与反射片120的前表面紧密接触,并且光学片140与导光板130的前表面紧密接触。
模具框架160被构造为:包围底座110的侧壁结构的侧壁242、244、246和248并且包围光学片140的前表面的边缘区域。模具框架160具有开口以露出该光学片140。具体地,模具框架160包括:竖直部162,该竖直部162与底座110的侧壁结构的外表面接触;和上缘部164,该上缘部164从竖直部162向内延伸,从而包围光学片140的前表面的边缘区域。在这种情况下,上缘部164的内周形成了一开口,以露出光学片140。
图4是图1所示的模具框架160的透视图。参考图4,防接触突起152、154、156及158接触该模具框架160的上缘部164的内表面,并且支撑该模具框架160使得模具框架160的上缘部164的内表面与光学片140间隔开。
模具框架160的上缘部164的内表面在与各个防接触突起152、154、156及158相对应的位置处设置有防接触突起插入凹槽412、414、416及418。
图5是图4所示的防接触突起插入凹槽412的放大透视图。参考图5,防接触突起插入凹槽412、414、416及418布置在模具框架160的上缘部164的内表面中的与防接触突起152、154、156及158相对应的位置,使得防接触突起152、154、156及158嵌入并联接到防接触突起插入凹槽412、414、416及418中。
图6是示出根据实施例的防接触突起152、154与防接触突起插入凹槽412、414之间的联接关系的透视图。参考图6,防接触突起152、154、156及158分别嵌入到相应的防接触突起插入凹槽412、414、416及418中。通过这种联接,模具框架160稳定地固定到底座110,这可以防止由于模具框架160的移动而对光学片140造成的损坏。
利用防接触突起152、154、156及158进行支撑的模具框架160可以与位于导光板130的前表面上的光学片140间隔开一段预定距离D。在这种情况下,模具框架160和光学片140之间的距离D可以是0.5mm或更小。
为了允许模具框架160与位于导光板130的前表面上的光学片140间隔开该预定距离D,布置在底座110中的防接触突起152、154、156或158的上端可以定位成高于光学片140或导光板130。也就是说,在图1中,“m”必须大于“K”或“H1”。
在图1中,底座110的侧壁结构的上端与导光板130处在同一高度,但其不限于此。例如,底座110的侧壁结构的上端可以与光学片140处在同一高度。在这种情况下,“H1”等于“K”。可替代地,底座110的侧壁结构的上端可以定位成高于或低于导光板130。
为了允许模具框架160与光学片140间隔开一段预定距离,可以基于底座110的侧壁结构的高度H1来确定防接触突起152、154、156及158的高度。例如,如果底座110的侧壁结构的高度H减小,则防接触突起152、154、156及158的高度可以增加。另一方面,如果底座110的侧壁结构的高度H1增加,则防接触突起152、154、156及158的高度可以减小。
在上述实施例中,由于防接触突起152、154、156及158支撑该模具框架160,所以模具框架160不直接接触光学片140的前表面。这可以防止由于模具框架160和光学片140之间的接触而对光学片140的前表面造成的损坏。
图7示出了根据实施例的显示装置,更具体地,示出了包括图1所示的背光单元的显示装置。
参考图7,该显示装置包括背光单元710和液晶面板720。背光单元710与上文参考图1至图6描述的相同,因此,将省略其描述以避免重复。
液晶面板720安放在模具框架160的上端并布置在光学片140的上表面(或前表面)上。液晶面板720被构造如下:即,液晶填充在玻璃基板之间且偏振板分别布置在这两个玻璃基板上以使光偏振。在此,液晶是规则排列的有机分子,其具有在固体和液体之间的性质,因此具有流动性。通过外部电场来改变液晶的分子排列,从而能够显示图像。在液晶面板720的前表面上可以设置有彩色滤光片(未示出)。
从以上描述中显然可见,根据上述实施例的背光单元和显示装置具有如下效果:防止由于反射片和顶盖之间的接触而对反射片造成的损坏。
对于本领域的技术人员来说显而易见的是,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下,能够对本发明进行各种修改和变型。因此,本发明旨在覆盖本发明的各种修改和变型,只要它们落入所附权利要求及其等同物的范围内。

Claims (15)

1.一种背光单元,包括:
发光器件;
导光板,所述导光板用于引导从所述发光器件照射的光;
光学片,所述光学片布置在所述导光板的前表面上;
底座,所述底座布置在所述导光板下方;
模具框架,所述模具框架布置在所述光学片的前表面上;以及
防接触突起,所述防接触突起布置在所述底座和所述模具框架之间,所述防接触突起使所述模具框架与所述光学片的前表面及所述导光板间隔开。
2.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其中,所述底座包括底部本体和布置在所述底部本体的边缘处的侧壁结构,所述底部本体平行于所述导光板,所述侧壁结构平行于所述导光板的侧表面。
3.根据权利要求2所述的背光单元,其中,所述防接触突起布置在所述侧壁结构上。
4.根据权利要求2所述的背光单元,其中,所述防接触突起布置在所述侧壁结构的上表面处。
5.根据权利要求2所述的背光单元,其中,所述模具框架包括:竖直部,所述竖直部接触所述侧壁结构;和上缘部,所述上缘部从所述竖直部延伸,所述上缘部包围所述光学片的前表面的边缘区域。
6.根据权利要求5所述的背光单元,其中,所述防接触突起接触所述上缘部。
7.根据权利要求6所述的背光单元,其中,所述模具框架包括防接触突起插入凹槽,所述防接触突起插入凹槽布置在所述上缘部的内表面中的与所述防接触突起相对应的位置,以与所述防接触突起联接。
8.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其中,所述防接触突起与所述底座一体地布置。
9.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其中,所述防接触突起布置在不与所述发光器件对应的区域处。
10.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其中,所述防接触突起具有点的形状。
11.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,还包括反射片,所述反射片布置在所述导光板和所述底座之间。
12.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其中,所述模具框架和所述反射片之间的距离是0.5mm或更小。
13.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,其中,所述防接触突起的上端定位成高于所述导光板。
14.根据权利要求1所述的背光单元,还包括托架,所述托架附接到所述底座,从而所述发光器件固定到所述托架。
15.一种显示装置,包括:
根据权利要求1至14中的任一项所述的背光单元;以及
液晶面板,所述液晶面板布置在所述背光单元上。
