Abstract

本发明涉及电缆扎带,更具体地涉及用于捆扎诸如网络电缆的敏感对象的弹性可伸缩电缆扎带。
发明背景
电缆扎带通常用来捆扎和固定数根电缆或针对多种应用的其它对象。电缆扎带夹紧并固定一束电缆或其它对象以防止电缆的侧动和转动。在一些情况下,尼龙电缆扎带可以不紧密地固接在电缆束的周围以防止对设置在其中的敏感对象的伤害。在这些情况下,通常将钩和环圈电缆扎带代替尼龙电缆扎带来使用。然而,钩和环圈扎带是昂贵的并且难以施加于电缆束周围以获得对成束对象充分夹紧。另外,钩和环圈扎带对于许多应用不满足易燃性要求。
需要容易应用并且不损害其围住的成束敏感对象的电缆扎带。还需要能安全地安装在敏感对象周围并在安装后提供沿对象束移动的阻力的电缆扎带。最后,需要用于捆扎敏感对象的网络或其它应用的高可燃性等级的电缆扎带。
发明概述
本发明针对具有头部可从头部延伸的条带的弹性电缆扎带。头部具有端壁、内壁和侧壁。端壁、内壁和侧壁界定从头部的进入端延伸至退出端的通道。头部包括从端壁伸入通道的无铰链楔。当将电缆扎带安装在电缆束周围时,楔配合住条带上的齿以固定电缆扎带。

详细说明
图1示出本发明的弹性电缆扎带的立体图。弹性电缆扎带10类似于在共同持有的专利No.6,745,439中记载和描述的具有宽颈部的电缆扎带,该文献的内容援引包含于此。
弹性电缆扎带10包括一体的头部20和条带50。末梢52位于条带50的第一端而通向头部20的宽颈部70位于条带50的第二端。末梢52包括标准夹紧脊54。头部20包括条带进入端22、条带通道24和条带退出端26。头部20还包括界定条带通道24的端壁28、内壁30和侧壁32。如结合图10和图11所述,头部20还包括具有可释放凸片42的锁定装置36。
弹性电缆扎带由热塑性聚氨酯(TPU)或其它弹性材料模制而成。弹性材料使电缆扎带可伸缩和不磨损。弹性材料给予电缆扎带伸长的特性,这允许电缆扎带受到负载时伸长而不压缩敏感的网络电缆。弹性材料还给予电缆扎带相对于其包裹的对象的高摩擦系数,因此即便采用低的施加负载也可使电缆扎带不易沿所捆扎对象移动。结果,弹性电缆扎带可用于敏感性网络电缆的电缆管理。
另外,热塑性聚氨酯(TPU)电缆扎带具有UL-94 V-0类别的易燃等级,由此为电缆扎带提供网络或其它应用的易燃性要求。
图2-11示出具有另一末梢设计的弹性电缆扎带。如图2A和2B所示,末梢52包括沿末梢52的外缘46定位的一对锁闭结构58。每个锁闭结构58包括从末梢52延伸的脚60以及从每个脚60的自由端向内延伸的钩62。
条带50包括安装时与敏感电缆束接触的光滑顶表面。在条带50底表面附近的条带任一侧上具有定位导轨73(见图7),导轨73设计成由锁闭结构58配合。导轨被定位成当安装在敏感或柔软的电缆束周围时,使锁闭结构具有足够的间隙以配合住导轨而不与成束对象形成干涉。
如图3和4所示,具有一对锁闭结构58的末梢52进入头部20中的条带进入端22,穿过条带通道24并退出头部20中的条带退出端26。条带50的末梢52在夹紧脊54处受拉,直到电缆扎带10已安装在电缆束周围为止。
如图5、6和图8所示,一旦安装在电缆束周围,末梢52可锁闭在条带50上以提供美观外形且不必切割条带50和电缆扎带末梢52也可防止末梢52与接下来的安装形成干涉。末梢52通过锁闭结构58保持在条带50上。如图7和图9所示,锁闭结构58的钩62从脚60的自由端向内延伸。如图7所示,钩62允许锁闭结构配合住条带50。
电缆扎带端部处的锁闭结构允许电缆扎带用于任何尺寸的电缆束,并允许更有效率地管理末梢52。由于锁闭结构的位置和尺寸防止锁闭结构穿过条带通道,因此锁闭结构位于条带中电缆扎带头部附近的现有技术电缆扎带无法固定小电缆束。由于当安装在小电缆束周围时多余的条带将延伸超出锁闭结构,因此锁闭结构位于条带中电缆扎带头部附近的现有技术条带扎带也不能有效地管理电缆扎带的末梢。结果,由于电缆扎带能用于包括非常小的电缆束在内的任何尺寸的电缆束并还能更有效地管理电缆扎带的尾部,本发明的电缆扎带是现有技术的改进。
图10和图11示出具有含可释放凸片42的锁定装置36的头部20。如上所述,头部20包括条带50从中插入的条带进入端22、条带通道24和条带退出端26。端壁28、内壁30和侧壁32界定条带通道24。端壁28包括位于头部20中央的窗34。锁定装置36从端壁28延伸以使带齿40的楔38从端壁28突入条带通道24。楔38的高度被设计成防止转过条带通道24。齿40的深度被设计成当条带50位于条带通道24时与条带50的齿52的接触最大化。
对照尼龙电缆扎带,本弹性电缆扎带中的楔38从端壁28伸出。结果,没有将楔38附连于头部的分立铰链。楔38为电缆扎带10增加硬度,由此可防止电缆扎带10的压溃。当条带50位于通道50时,楔38的齿40配合住条带齿64以将电缆扎带10固定在电缆束周围。
锁定装置36还包括位于头部的通道24外侧的释放凸片42。释放凸片42在端壁28的窗34中延伸以使释放凸片在头部20的退出端26上方延伸。窗34允许用户触及释放凸片42。释放凸片42受压离开条带50以使条带50的齿64与楔38的齿40脱开。结果,条带50可从头部20释放开。
图12-14示出具有末梢52的弹性电缆扎带,它还包括当末梢52穿入条带通道时允许锁闭结构58挤压的位于锁闭结构58与开口66之间的多个齿64。如图14所示,末梢52上的齿64配合住条带50上的齿72以防止锁闭的末梢52从条带50滑脱。
本发明的弹性电缆扎带是可再使用和可释放的。锁闭结构在电缆扎带安装完成后允许将末梢保持压靠在条带上。结果,在使用过程中不需要切断末梢并且电缆扎带可再使用。释放凸片允许锁闭楔的齿与条带齿脱开以释放电缆扎带的条带。随着释放凸片受压离开条带,用户通过条带通道和条带进入端拉动条带以将电缆扎带从电缆束拆下。
此外,尽管已示出和描述了本发明的具体较佳实施例,然而本领域内技术人员应当明白,可不脱离本发明教义得作出许多变化和修改。在前面说明书和附图中阐述的内容仅通过示例而非限定地给出。当基于现有技术从其正确角度审视时,本发明的实际范围由下面权利要求书定义。
Claims (10)
1.一种弹性电缆扎带,包括:
具有端壁、内壁和侧壁的头部,所述端壁、内壁和侧壁界定从进入端延伸至退出端的通道,其中所述头部包括从所述端壁延伸入所述通道的楔;以及从所述头部的内壁延伸的条带。
2.如权利要求1所述的弹性电缆扎带,其特征在于,所述电缆扎带由热塑性聚氨酯材料形成。
3.如权利要求1所述的弹性电缆扎带,其特征在于,所述电缆扎带的头部中的楔是无铰链的。
4.如权利要求1所述的弹性电缆扎带,其特征在于,所述头部进一步包括用于脱开所述楔的释放凸片,并且所述释放凸片位于所述头部的端壁内以在所述头部的退出端上方延伸。
5.如权利要求4所述的弹性电缆扎带,其特征在于,所述释放凸片抑制伸入到所述头部中的通道内。
6.如权利要求1所述的弹性电缆扎带,其特征在于,所述条带包括具有锁闭结构的末梢,所述锁闭结构具有至少一个脚以及用于配合住所述电缆扎带的条带的向内延伸的钩。
7.如权利要求6所述的弹性电缆扎带,其特征在于,所述条带具有导轨,所述锁闭结构配合于所述导轨以固定所述条带的末梢。
8.一种弹性电缆扎带,包括:
具有端壁、内壁和侧壁的头部,所述端壁、内壁和侧壁界定从进入端延伸至退出端的通道;以及
从所述头部的内壁延伸的条带,所述条带具有带锁闭结构的末梢,其中所述锁闭结构具有至少一个脚以及用于配合住所述电缆扎带的条带的向内延伸的钩。
9.如权利要求8所述的弹性电缆扎带,其特征在于,所述头部还包括可释放锁定装置,所述可释放锁定装置包括从端壁伸出以配合于所述条带的楔以及在所述头部的退出端上方延伸以释放所述楔与所述条带的配合的释放凸片。
10.如权利要求8所述的弹性电缆扎带,其特征在于,所述条带具有导轨,所述锁闭结构配合于所述导轨以固定所述条带的末梢。
