技术领域
本发明涉及用于保护如钢材和木材产品的包装材料。
背景技术
在工业包装领域使用包括一种由编织塑料带制成的织造织物(scrim)的包装材料是已知的。这种包装材料用于包装木材、钢材和其它工业产品,以便储存和运输。这种材料一般不大能够弯曲或紧密地粘附在被包装物上。
发明内容
本发明是一种包装材料,适合于包装或保持产品,以防止运输和储存期间的磨损和损坏。这种材料包括一个包装材料的片、条或袋,包含由可拉伸带制成的塑料织造织物。包装材料的可拉伸性使被包装产品在运输中能够弯曲而不会造成包装材料的断裂。这种包装材料包括一个可拉伸热塑材料带的织造织物,与一个可拉伸的无纺防水层相接合。织造织物带的断裂前的延伸率在20%至500%的范围内。这种带包括一种包含聚烯烃树脂和弹胶物的混合物。无纺层也包括一种包含聚烯烃树脂和弹胶物的混合物。
根据本发明的另一个实施例,这种包装材料包括一个与织造织物相接合的第二个可拉伸无纺防水层,并包括一种聚烯烃和弹胶物的混合物。作为选择,包装材料可在织造织物和两个无纺层之间有一个接合层,接合层的延伸率不同于无纺层的延伸率。
根据本发明的另一个实施例,该材料包括一种可拉伸热塑材料带制成的织造织物,没有任何无纺层。

具体实施方式
图1至图3示出了这种包装材料的优选实施例。在下面的描述中,相同和相应的部分用相同的标号表示。为了使视图清晰,附图未按实际的比例且层的厚度被放大。
根据本发明的第一实施例,示于图1,包装材料10包括一个织造层12,即一个织造织物,层压在一个无纺层14上。材料条10具有相对的纵向边11、13。
织造层12由可拉伸塑料带形成,塑料带由聚烯烃材料、如聚乙烯、聚丙烯、热塑烯烃或它们的混合物制成。这些带可含有挥发性防腐剂。在用于形成带的树脂混合物中加入弹胶物,在重量的3%至40%的范围内。合适的弹胶物包括Kraton Polymers LLC公司销售的KRATON(商标)聚合物,以及TPO类的产品。带的断裂前的延伸率在20%至500%的范围内。拉伸后带的恢复在10%至90%的范围内,取决于带的拉伸程度。
织造织物12的带的可拉伸性可通过树脂混合物中使用的弹胶物的含量以及制造带的挤压工艺的工艺参数来控制。
在织造塑料带以形成织造织物时,无论是在机器方向或是横向上,带都不能被挤压或彼此缠绕,以避免降低织造织物的可拉伸性。为了使带能够自由拉伸,最好采用一种增强结构,在机器方向上每英寸包括0至10个带和/或横向上0至10个带,或由此延续。例子包括4×2、4×3、4×4、5×2、5×3及5×4。
无纺层14是一个防水塑料膜。作为选择,它可以是不透气和不透水汽的,或者是透气和透水汽的,具有例如在2至80perms范围内的渗透率。无纺层14包括聚烯烃材料,如聚乙烯(LDPE或LLDPE)或聚丙烯或其混合物,与一种弹胶物和增粘添加剂进行混合。它最好包括由LDPE、LLDPE和一种弹胶物构成的混合物。LLDPE的优选含量为重量的10%至70%。弹胶物的优选含量为重量的3%至40%。
无纺层有足够的拉伸性,当材料被拉伸时可避免材料断裂和变形。如上所述,无纺层14最好与织造层12具有同样的拉伸性能。它最好用和带相同的材料和添加剂制成。
无纺层14的目的主要是保持织造层的完整性并且赋予包装材料一个防水外层。
无纺层14可通过任何常规方法接合在织造层12上,例如通过层压、热封、粘合、或直接挤压在织造层上。
在本发明的另一个实施例中,这种包装材料仅包括织造层12。这种包装材料可用于不要求防潮的被包装产品。
接下来参见图2,本发明的包装材料可包括一个或多个附加层,如一层牛皮纸或一个第二层的合成聚合材料或无纺材料(如纺粘聚丙烯PP)。包装材料10A包含一个这样的附加聚烯烃薄膜层22。因此织造织物13的两面都与一个薄膜层层叠。聚烯烃层22的成分和性质最好和无纺层14一样。在包装材料的另一种结构中,织造织物在一面或两面与一个无纺层、一个纸层、一个塑料膜或其它基质、或它们的组合进行层压(或其它接合方式)。
图3示出了包装材料的另一个实施例,其中,包装材料10B包括层14和22,分别通过接合层17和19与织造层12接合。层17和19的接合剂的延伸率与层14和22不同。层14和22的拉伸性大于接合层17和19。当将这种包装材料应用在产品上时,这种差异使无纺层14和22彼此之间以及与织造层12之间独立移动,提高了包装的密封性及其保护被包装产品的能力。当包装材料处于受力状态时,所述的独立移动可通过接合剂的断裂来实现,或通过其与织造层12及无纺层14和22的完全分离来实现。接合剂是一个聚烯烃层,起层压介质的作用。作为选择,包装材料10B的所有层可具有相同的延伸率。
包装材料10、10A和10B在机器方向上和横向上均具有5千克至30千克的抗拉伸强度和4千克至25千克的抗撕扯强度。抗拉伸强度和抗撕扯强度可通过带的延伸率、织造织物的结构类型及层压中使用的敷层的重量来选择。
本发明的包装材料可制成任何合适的形状,用于包装特定物品。它可以制成条状,例如宽度约7至12英寸,用于以搭接的方式包装产品。它可以制成大的片材。这种条和片可以卷成卷,以使用和分配。这种包装材料也可以制成袋子,用于装产品。
Claims (18)
1.一种包装材料,包括:
(a)一个可拉伸热塑材料带的织造织物,所述带在断裂前的延伸率在20%至500%的范围内,所述带包括一种包含聚烯烃和弹胶物的混合物;及
(b)一个与所述织造织物接合的可拉伸的无纺防水层,所述无纺层包括一种包含聚烯烃和弹胶物的混合物。
2.一种包装材料,包括一个可拉伸带的织造织物,所述带在断裂前的延伸率在20%至500%的范围内,所述带包括一种包含聚烯烃和弹胶物的混合物。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的包装材料,其中,所述带的拉伸后的恢复率在10%至90%的范围内。
4.根据权利要求1、2或3所述的包装材料,其中,所述带中的所述弹胶物的含量为所述带的重量的3%至40%。
5.根据权利要求1、3或4所述的包装材料,其中,所述无纺层中的所述弹胶物的含量为所述带的重量的3%至40%。
6.根据上述权利要求之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述织造织物包括一个增强结构,在机器方向上具有每英寸0至10根带,或在横向上具有每英寸0至10根带,或是它们的组合。
7.根据上述权利要求之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述带的所述聚烯烃包括聚乙烯、聚丙烯、热塑烯烃、或它们的混合物。
8.根据权利要求1或3-7之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述无纺层的所述聚烯烃包括聚乙烯或聚丙烯、或它们的混合物。
9.根据权利要求1或3-7之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述无纺层的所述聚烯烃包括重量占10%至70%的LLDPE。
10.根据上述权利要求之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述包装材料在机器方向和横向上的抗拉强度的范围为5至30千克。
11.根据权利要求1或3-10之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述无纺层在断裂前的延伸率在20%至500%的范围内。
12.根据权利要求1或3-11之一所述的包装材料,其中,它还包括与所述织造织物接合的一个第二个可拉伸无纺防水层,所述第二个无纺层包括一种包含聚烯烃和弹胶物的混合物。
13.根据上述权利要求之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述包装材料在机器方向和横向上的抗撕扯强度的范围为4至25千克。
14.根据权利要求1或3-13之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述无纺层是不透气和不透水汽的。
15.根据权利要求1或3-13之一所述的包装材料,其中,所述无纺层是透气和透水汽的。
16.根据权利要求14所述的包装材料,其中,所述渗透率在2至80的范围内。
17.根据权利要求1所述的包装材料,其中,它还包括一层牛皮纸,与所述织造织物接合。
18.根据权利要求1、3-11或13-16之一所述的包装材料,其中,它还包括:
(c)一个与所述织造织物接合的第二个可拉伸无纺防水层,所述第二个无纺层包括一种包含聚烯烃和弹胶物的混合物;及
(d)在所述织造织物和所述两个相应的无纺层之间的接合层,所述接合层的延伸率与所述无纺层的延伸率不同。
